IMA L. BEEBE

FORGAN, Okla. -- Ima L. Beebe, 88, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, at Beaver County Memorial Hospital in Beaver, Okla.

She was born Feb. 26, 1916, to Charles H. and Irra M. Ausmus Schlater in Hillrose, Colo.

She married Dwight F. Beebe July 17, 1935, in Hillrose, Colo.

She graduated from high school in Marion.

She worked at Streets Department Store in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include one son, Larry Beebe and wife Anne, Saginaw, Texas; one daughter, Deborah Carter and husband Cletus, Forgan, Okla.; three grandchildren, Todd and Troy Carter and Sgt. Tisha Carter-Valrie, USMC; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, George and Marion Schlater, one sister, Lavina Zimmerman, and one granddaughter, Deedra Carter.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m., Monday at the Forgan United Methodist Church with the Rev. Timothy Hemstra and Cletus Carter presiding.

Private family burial will be in Floris Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Saturday and 1 p.m. until 8 p.m., Sunday at Miller Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to the Forgan United Methodist Church of the Floris Midway Cemetery in care of Miller Mortuary.

RICHARD O. DIXON

TYRONE, Okla. -- Richard O. Dixon, 64, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, at Southwest Medical Center.

He was born March 22, 1940, to Orval and Lonnie M. Squires Dixon in Almogordo, N.M.

He married Fonda Cramer Jan. 29, 1959, in Aztec, N.M. She survives.

He graduated from Montezuma High School in Cortez, Colo., in 1958.

He worked for Ideal Food Store for 27 years as a supervisor, working in Beaver, Woodward, Enid and Buffalo, Okla., and Liberal and Meade.

He owned and operated Hosco Testing and Measurement until July 2004.

He was a member of Tyrone Baptist Church.

He enjoyed his family and trail riding.

Other survivors include two daughters, Debbie Burns and husband David, Tyrone, Okla., and Judy Sanders and husband Steve, Tahoka, Texas; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth Dixon, Ruidoso, N.M., and Gordon Dixon, Sunrise Beach, Texas; and one sister, Dormalee Wheeler, Almogordo, N.M.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday at the Tyrone Baptist Church with Pastor Charlie Sappington presiding.

Burial will be in Tyrone Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. today at Miller Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to Tyrone Baptist Church in care of Miller Mortuary.

ROBERT O. ADAMS

Robert O. "Bob" Adams, 67, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2004, at Woodward (Okla.) Regional Hospital.

He was born May 9, 1937, to Wallace Franklin and Loraine Mildred (Ware) Adams in Cache, Okla.

He married Jacque Altman Aug. 14, 1959. She survives.

He graduated from Cache High School in 1955. He lettered in baseball and basketball at Panhandle A &M where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1959.

He coached basketball and baseball and was an assistant football coach for various schools in Colorado and Kansas.

He worked for AMOCO Production Company.

He spent hours in his woodshop and enjoyed playing golf.

He loved spending time with his family especially with his grandchildren.

Other survivors include two daughters, Diana Claypool and husband Shawn, Woodward, Okla., and Pam Schmidt and husband Mike, Evansville, Wyo.; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Michael and Kaci Claypool, Matthew, Veronica, Johnny and Christopher Schmidt; one great-granddaughter, Mackinzie Marie Claypool; one brother, William F. "Buck" Adams, Topeka; four sisters-in-law, Mattie Belle Adams, Glendale, Ariz., Jane Altman, Norman, Okla., Jane Ballou and husband, Seminole, Okla., and Lena Wheeler, Taylor, Texas; and his mother-in-law, Cleo Altman, Norman, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six half brothers and half sisters, Robert Tally Adams, Cecil Adams, Juanita Wipf, Charles Wheeler, Tommy Wheeler and Evelyn Mahaffey; one grandson, Tony Schmidt; and one father-in-law, Chalk Altman.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday in the First Christian Church with the Rev. Read Barby presiding. --

Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Panhandle University Foundation Fund or to the Boiling Springs Golf Association in care of Billings Funeral Home, 1621 Downs Ave., Woodward, OK 73801.

HAZEL I. HEGLIN --

GATE, Okla. -- Hazel Irene Heglin, 88, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at Newman Memorial Hospital in Shattuck, Okla.

She was born April 28, 1916, to William Arthur and Laura Blanch (Easton) Priest near Knowles, Okla.

She married George "Bud" Heglin Feb. 5, 1934, in Beaver, Okla. He died Jan. 31, 1990.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Gate, Okla.

She served on the Zelma Cemetery Board.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Eugene Heglin and wife Teresa, Gate, Okla., and Dale Ray Heglin, Gate, Okla.; one daughter, Lila Fern Curtis and husband Harold, Gate, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Brent Curtis in 1982, and one brother, Henry Olen Priest in 1991.

Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m., Sunday at the United Methodist Church in Gate, Okla. with the Rev. Wes Peterman presiding. --

Burial will be in Gate Cemetery. --

SIDNEY E. JASPER

BEAVER, Okla. -- Sidney Ervin Jasper, 87, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, in the Beaver County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 23, 1917, to Nathaniel Stansell and Etta Florence (Frizzel) Jasper in Hansford County, Texas.

He married Cleo Rose Barker May 15, 1941, in Panhandle, Texas. She preceded him in death.

He graduated from Panhandle High School and attended some college.

He was an operator at a gas facility in Beaver County, Okla.

Survivors include one son, Sidney "Butch" Jasper, Jr., Amarillo, Texas; one daughter, Linda Jasper, Oklahoma City; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Dee Etta Sharp, Bard, Calif.; and many relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today in the Beaver First Baptist Church with Jim Parker presiding. --

Burial will be in the Pioneer Cemetery.

DONITA P. CREWS

TURPIN, Okla. -- Donita P. Crews, 67, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, at Southwest Medical Center.

She was born June 13, 1937, to Charles L. and Lorena P. Salley King in Liberal.

She married Howard Crews Aug. 17, 1973, in Dumas, Texas. He survives.

She attended school in Liberal.

She was a X-ray tech and worked in medical records at Southwest Medical Center.

Later, she was an assistant for Dr. Jack Reese for 25 years.

She was a member of the First Church of God in Liberal.

Other survivors include one son, Rodney Nelson and wife Ginger, Liberal; one daughter, Cindy Cockerham and husband Felton, Albemarle, N.C.; seven grandchildren including Jenny Crews, whom she raised; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Edward King, Waco, Texas, Donald King, Tulsa, Okla., and and Lynn King, Salina, Okla.; and four sisters, Roberta Pettyjohn, Caldwell, Beverly Gauerke, Turpin, Okla., Ruth Violet, Muskogee, Okla., and Nancy Carlile, Liberal.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Alex Chavez.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Church of God with the Rev. David Parker presiding.

Burial will be in Liberal Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Miller Mortuary.

Memorials are suggested to the church or American Cancer Society in care of the mortuary.
