more than a mile from the home where he was born.
Tommy was a 1951 graduate of Southside High School where he excelled in basketball and baseball.
Tommy’s first business adventure was when he received a sow and 7 pigs as a graduation gift from his
parents. This provided the foundation for the start of his farming and ranching operations.
On June 16, 1951, Tommy married the love of his life Jane Briscoe in Altus, Oklahoma. They were blessed
with four children.
Tommy was a member of the Elmer Baptist Church which he attended until its closing. For several years, he

Family and farm best describe Tommy Beach. Besides spending time with his family, especially all those big
Sunday dinners, Tommy had a passion for his land. In addition to his cattle operation, he raised wheat and
alfalfa, but growing and irrigating cotton was not only his livelihood but his hobby. Each year’s cotton harvest
was preceded with Tommy’s prediction that it wouldn’t make much, but that forecast never seemed to pan out.
He daily drove the roads of each farm section and each pasture. Tommy knew every inch of every place and
where all the best hunting spots were. He diligently kept his numerous feeders stocked with feed for the turkey
and deer.
