Ruby Marrion Fisher

Age 75, Chattanooga - Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday in the Peace Congregational Church, south of Indiahoma with Rev. James Roberts, pastor and Rev. Jim Bob Roberts, associate pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Fisher died Saturday at her residence.

Burial will be in the Chattanooga Cemetery under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home.

She was born November 30, 1931 near Hulen, southeast of Lawton to Harry and Roxie (Simms) Cook. She grew up in the Hulen community and lived in this area all of her life. She graduated from Lawton High School. Mrs. Fisher had lived in the Chattanooga area since 1952. She married George A. Fisher in Lawton on September 6, 1952. He died July 1, 1984. She was a member of Peace Congregational Church and attended the Community Center in Chattanooga in the Senior Citizens Group.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas Arnold Fisher and his wife Rebecca, Lawton; George Richard Fisher and his wife Pamela, Chattanooga, Oklahoma; four grandsons, Taylor Thomas Fisher and Jordan Lee Fisher, both of Lawton, Eli Richard Fisher, Chattanooga and Isaac Paul Fisher, Stillwater; two great grandsons, Cameron Woods and Braxton Richard Fisher, both of Chattanooga; seven sisters, Dorothy Ford, Marlow, Wilma Cook, Lawton, Jessemae McCall, Concord, California, Maxine Howell, Hastings, Phyllis Moore, Lawton, Barbera Kranschnoobel, Aurora, Missouri and Frances Yackeschi, Lawton.

Michelle Lynn Perez

Age 37, Lawton - Services will be 1:30 PM Wednesday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Harley Davidson, Minister, Western Hills Church of Christ, officiating.

Mrs. Perez died Wednesday, January 3, 2007, in Lawton.

Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

She was born on August 30, 1969 in Fort Eustis, Virginia to Ricardo and Ramona (Stovall) Limon. She married Hector L. Perez, Jr. in Lawton on December 28, 2001. She worked at Ten Oaks Retirement Community and was the Head Lab Technician at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. She worked for the Oklahoma Blood Institute and for Lawton Dialysis. She also worked as a private home health care provider. She volunteered at Comanche County Memorial Hospital and Southwestern Medical Center. She also volunteered her time during the Oklahoma City bombing.

Survivors include her husband of the home; a son, Richard Limon, of the home; a daughter, Britney Simmons, of Houston, Texas; a stepson, Neko Perez, of Norfolk, Virginia; a stepdaughter, Tara Perez, of Tallahassee, Florida; a brother, Roy Limon, of Yukon, Oklahoma; a sister and brother-in-law, Yolanda Hayes and Scotty, of Walters; her parents of Lawton; a maternal grandmother, Ada Stovall, of Little Rock, Arkansas; a paternal grandmother, Cruz Limon, of San Antonio, Texas; and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Her maternal grandfather, Gordon Stovall, and paternal grandfather, Jesse Limon, preceded her in death.

Hildegard E. Scott

Age 77, Lawton - Services will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Gene Jorgensen, interim pastor of Addington Baptist Church, Addington, Oklahoma officiating.

Mrs. Scott died Friday in Lawton.

Burial will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Hildegard was born November 26, 1929 in Hambach, Germany to Franz and Maria Neher. She married John Scott on March 9, 1948 in Fulda, Germany.

She is survived by her husband of the home; 5 children and their spouses, Elizabeth “Ann” and Randy Thompson of Lawton, Mary and Larry Amidan of Ogden, Utah, John Allen and Sandra Scott of Biloxi, Mississippi, Patricia Scott of Lakewood, Washington, and Richard S. and Suzanne Scott of Hastings, OK; six grandchildren, Teresa and her husband Johnnie Scheid, Rachel S. Cox, all of Lawton, Joshua Thompson of Norman, Randi Thompson of Lawton, Tara and her husband Rick Albers of Salt Lake City, Utah, Neil and his wife Christy Amidan of Ogden, Utah; and 6 great grandchildren, Lauren Scheid, Ryan Scheid, Morgan Cox and Caden Thompson all of Lawton, and Luke Albers and Alea Amidan both of Utah.

Edgar Harvey Billey

Age 61, Lawton - Services will be at 9:30 AM Thursday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Doug Passmore, Pastor, First Baptist East, officiating.

Mr. Billey died Sunday in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Burial with military honors will be in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin.

He was born on February 14, 1945 in Soper, Oklahoma to Fred Blue and Lorena Billey. He joined the US Army and served a tour to Italy, two tours to Vietnam and a tour to Germany. He coached the Army Baseball Team in Italy. He received numerous medals including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), Army Commendation Medal, four overseas service bars and three service stripes. He was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant after 16 1/2 years. He married Rosanna Todesco in Bassano Del Grappa, Vicenza, Italy on February 14, 1966. They were married for almost 41 years. He worked at Goodyear from 1979 until 2001 and retired after 22 years.

Mr. Billey loved life and was an exceptional pool player. He was high ranked and played in the Coors League, the Bud League and various other pool tournaments. He was a loving father, grandfather and husband.

Survivors include his wife of the home; three children, Terry Billey of Lawton, Randy Billey of the home, and Tammy Little and her husband, Robert, of Lawton; three brothers, Douglas Stilwell of Oklahoma City, Gary Stilwell of Springfield, Missouri, and Larry Stilwell of Topeka, Kansas; four grandchildren, Ashley Billey, Amber Arnold, Valentina Little and Tyler Arnold; and a great grandson, Alex Harvey Billey.

His parents, a sister, Wretha Stilwell, and a brother, Gregory Stilwell, preceded him in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

Lucy Margaret Davis

Age 97, Snyder - Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, March 11 at the First Methodist Church in Snyder, Oklahoma.

Burial will follow at the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home of Snyder.

Visitation with the family will be held Saturday, March 10 at the Becker Funeral Home of Snyder from 7 PM to 8 PM.

Lucy Margaret Davis passed away at Denton Good Samaritan Village on Thursday, March 8, 2007.She was born Lucy Margaret Finlay in Fife, McCullough County, Texas on January 5, 1910, where her family were pioneer settlers. She was graduated from Brady schools in 1928, and entered nursing school for a year. She married Harbert E. (Jack) Davis on May 23, 1929, in the First Christian Church. During the depression years, the young couple moved many times finding work. Following Jack’s discharge from the U.S. Army Engineers in 1943, the couple purchased their first ranch land in Kiowa County. They moved to Snyder, Oklahoma in 1949. They were active in the Snyder community, working in church and civic affairs, and were instrumental in organizing the O & O Riding Club, the building of the club arena at Mountain Park, and the tennis courts in the Snyder City Park. In the building of the Tom Steed Lake, part of the Davis land went into the project.

Mr. and Mrs. Davis enjoyed traveling, and the couple toured most of the United States and visited Canada, Alaska, Australia and New Zealand. Summers were spent in their trailer in Mora, NM, and winter-time found them at home on Falcon Lake until 1983. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1979. Mr. Davis passed away in 1984.

Mrs. Davis was active in Garden Club, Quartz Mtn. Iris Society, American Legion Auxiliary, and was a correspondent for several area newspapers, most recently writing human interest columns for the Kiowa County Democrat. She enjoyed playing Skip-Bo with her friends, and worked at all kinds of needlework producing beautiful afghans and embroidered towels for her friends and family. Mrs. Davis was also very well-versed in the Holy Bible and enjoyed giving devotionals for different groups. She was an amazing woman who lived independently until the age of 96, and she will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Alla Gene Finlay of Denton, TX; two nieces, Margaret Frances Mills and her husband, Don Mills of Double Oak, TX, and Linda Wallace and her husband Brett Wallace of Denton, TX; three nephews, Mitchell Finlay and his wife Ella Finlay of Highlands Ranch, CO, Fred Finlay and his wife Beth Finlay of Kansas City, MO, and David Finlay and his wife Leslie Couch of Tyler, TX; four great nieces: Eriel Wallace, Adrien Wallace, Samaria Finlay, and Molly Finlay; and five great nephews: Ezekiel Finlay, Conor Wallace, Jackson Finlay, Chris Finlay, and Ian Finlay.

Betty J. Rupert

Age 73, Lawton, Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at Cameron Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Ikard, pastor of Southside Assembly of God officiating.

Mrs. Rupert died Wednesday.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of Becker Funeral Home.

She was born December 17, 1930 in Cassopolis, Michigan to Luise and Ila Mae (Curtis) Owen. She married Robert E. “Shorty” Rupert on October 4, 1956 in South Bend, Indiana. He died May 1, 2001. She was a member of Southside Assembly of God and was a volunteer at The Nutrition Center.

Survivors include three daughters; Teresa Jane Coulson and her husband Bill, Deming, New Mexico, Sandra Lee Baber, Lawton, and Sharon Ann Moon and her husband Mike, Lawton, a brother, two sisters, nine grandchildren; Billy Coulson, Michelle Bosley, Kevin Baber, Crystal Moon, Justin Moon, Scott Patrick, Lisa, Todd Patrick, and Roxanne Patrick, and twelve great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a daughter; Freddie Kay Patrick, one brother, and three sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1320 NW Homestead Drive, Suite D, Lawton, OK 73505.

Major (Retired) Ralph S. Favorite, Sr.

Age 83, Sanford, Florida, Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Herschel R. Lindsey officiating.

Major Favorite died Monday in Sanford.

Entombment with full military honors will be in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

He was born March 21, 1921 in Magazine, Arkansas to Le Roy and Evadna Buckingham Favorite. He married Ozeta Woodrum on November 4, 1940 in Oklahoma City. She died February 24, 1980. He married Ophelia Mae Higgins on June 21, 1980 in Lawton. Major Favorite retired from the U.S. Army on August 31, 1959. He retired from Equitable Life Insurance Company in 1978. He was a member of First Baptist West and Mount Scott Masonic Lodge #540.

Survivors include his wife, of the home, four children; Joan Favorite, Ada, Ralph S. Favorite, Jr., Columbia, Maryland, Sue Ellen Favorite, Nashville, Tennessee, and Natalie J. Higgins, Orlando, Florida, five grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 6465 S. Yale, Suite 206, Tulsa, OK 74136-7810.

Walter “Walt” Barrett

Age 68, Dallas, Texas, will be 1:30 PM Wednesday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Barrett died Sunday at his Dallas residence due to complications resulting from his courageous battle with multiple myeloma cancer.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.

He was born on September 30, 1936 in Fort Worth, Texas to W. G. and Inez Barrett. He grew up in Lawton and attended Lawton schools. As a young man, he was employed in the family trucking business of Barrett Brothers. He married Marian Jeffreys in Elgin in 1963. They moved to Texas in 1972, forming his own trucking business. He was actively involved in the demolition business in Dallas until his recent retirement due to illness. Walt was well known, loved and respected for his honesty and integrity. He was a gentle and loving husband and father and will be missed dearly. Walter died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his adoring wife and family who helped him pass from this world into heaven with prayers.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Walter Barrett, Jr. and Celeste of Tuttle; four daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy Barrett and her husband, Bob, of Oklahoma City; Penny Johnson and Richard of Oklahoma City; Jo Ann Hill and Steve of Nashville, Tennessee; and Sharon Jenkins and Jim of Lawton; ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; his mother, Inez Duncan of Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, Nancy Young-Harris of Fort Worth, Texas; Kay Hopkins and her husband, John, of Trinidad, Texas; and Mary Beth Moore and her husband, Lee, of Rockaway Beach, Oregon; his brother, Larry Tedder and his wife, Cindy, of Oklahoma City; a loving and caring uncle Dave and aunt Carol of Lawton; several loving brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, aunts, nieces and nephews, and many special friends and neighbors.

His father preceded him in death.

Dr. Stan Jackson

Age 54, Lawton - Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Gary W. Cook, Pastor, officiating.

Dr. Jackson died Saturday in Lawton.

Burial will be in the Flower Mound Cemetery under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home.

He was born on January 10, 1951 in Perryton, Texas to Harold D. and Rachel Faye (Reiswig) Jackson. He grew up in Balko, Oklahoma and graduated high school there in 1969. He married Lesta Firestone in Goodwell, Oklahoma on August 26, 1972. In May of 1973, he received his Bachelor of Science degree from Panhandle State University in Goodwell. In June of 1977, he received his Medical Degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in Oklahoma City.

Dr. Jackson served eleven years in the US Army and from 1977 – 1980 he served his residency for family practice at the Womack Army Hospital in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. In 1980, he was certified by the American Board of Family Physicians and received his license from the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Examiners. From 1980 – 1984 he served at Reynolds Army Community Hospital at Fort Sill as a family physician. From 1984 – 1985 he was a family physician at the Goodyear Medical Center in Lawton. In 1985, he went into private practice in family medicine in Lawton. He was also the medical director at the Willowpark Nursing Center. Since September of 1994, Stan had been a private pilot.

In 1987 and 1995, Stan served as the Southwestern Medical Center Department of Family Practice Chairman and was the Chief of Staff at Southwestern Medical Center from 1990-1991. From 1994 – 1995, he was the Oklahoma Academy of Family Physicians Great Plains District Director. In 2000, he was designated the FAA Aviation Medical Examiner.

Dr. Jackson was a member of the American Medical Association, the Oklahoma State Medical Association, the Comanche County Medical Association, the Oklahoma Academy of Family Practice, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Flying Physicians Association, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and was a member of Angel Flight. He was ordained a deacon at the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Fayetteville, North Carolina. At one time, he was a member of Central Baptist Church in Lawton where he sang in the choir, taught a young married Sunday school class and at one time was a director of the 55 and Older Department. At the time of his death, he was a member of the First Baptist Church. At one time, Stan served as a Junior High Sunday School Director and taught the Adult II Sunday School Class. He also sang in the choir for First Baptist Church. Dr. Jackson served on three different mission trips to Russia, China and Australia, as the medical doctor for the Singing Churchmen of Oklahoma.

The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.

Survivors include his wife of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Thompson and Rick of Owasso; a son, Jeremy Jackson of St. Louis, Missouri; a granddaughter, Chandler Jo Thompson of Owasso; and three brothers, Dr. Grant Dewayne Jackson of Conrad, Montana; Dr. Danny Jackson of San Antonio, Texas and Charles Jackson of Albany, Oregon.

His parents preceded him in death.
