Sidney Harvey Farquhar

Sidney Farquhar, age 65, passed away Monday, April 4, 2005 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital,
after a lengthy battle with Cancer.
He was born March 8, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Jake and Elsa (Jonas) Farquhar.
On May 24, 1958 in Center Point, Oklahoma, Sidney and Peggy Henderson were united in marriage.
He entered the United States Air Force on June 04, 1957, during his career he received many
commendation medals (air force commendation medal, small arms expert marksmanship ribbon,
armed forces expeditionary medal, NCO professional military education ribbon, good conduct medal,
army; air force longevity service ribbon, national defense medal, Vietnam service medal, air force
outstanding unit medal) he retired on Jan 31, 1983 as a Aircraft Load Master, after 25 years of
honorable service. After his retirement he worked for the Altus Public School System for 16 years.
Sidney enjoyed helping the youth of Jackson County with their agricultural projects. He also received an
Honorary State FFA Degree.
Sidney is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Farquhar of the Home, three children, Bruce Farquhar and
wife ReGina of Altus, Oklahoma, Kelli Johnson and husband Chad of Wilson, Oklahoma and Dustin
Farquhar, of the home and three grandchildren, Jacob Farquhar of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Nathan Helm
of Wilson, Oklahoma, Arron Johnson of Wilson, Oklahoma and his mother-in-law, Gladys Henderson, of
Antlers, Oklahoma.
Services for Sid Farquhar are scheduled for Thursday, April 7, 2005 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist
Church with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery.
The Family will greet guest Wednesday, April 6, 2005 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral
Home.

Jesse Cade Farr

Jesse Cade Farr, 16, died Saturday, March 31, 2007, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus,
Oklahoma.
Jesse was born September 28, 1990, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital to Troy Don and Cassie Dawn
(Johnson) Farr. His siblings include Seth Farr and Macy Farr. He was a freshman at Blair School where he had
attended since Kindergarten.
Jesse loved life and charmed anyone he met. He lived his short life to the fullest and left behind a legacy
of “Jesse stories.” Born to an agriculture family, he was no stranger to hard labor, livestock, or horses. Jesse
preferred to be working rather than setting idle. He was a talented and gifted cowboy. In his young life, he had
been employed as a farm laborer, heavy equipment operator, cowboy, construction worker, and carpenter. He
was also an entrepreneur in raising cattle, hay hauling, lawn care, and dry walling. Jesse had a God-given gift
to work and train horses. Jesse loved all sports and was passionate about rodeo, baseball, and basketball. His
pursuit of a career in rodeo began when he was about 5 years old at an open rodeo in Burkburnett, Texas.
Since that time, he has participated in the 4-H riding club and many more open rodeos, team ropings, Junior
Rodeo Cowboy Association Rodeos, and Oklahoma High School Rodeos. He was a member of United States
Team Roping Championships, Original Team Roping Association, and American Amateur Team Roping
Championships. He won four saddles, numerous buckles, tack and other prizes in team ropings and rodeos.
He was currently on the Blair Junior High and High School Baseball teams and Blair Junior High Basketball
team. He was baptized at First Baptist Church of Blair and later moved his membership to First Baptist Church
of Altus.
He is survived by his parents, Troy and Cassie Farr of the home; one sister, Macy Farr, also of the home;
one brother, Seth Farr and fiancée Morgan Coward of Blair; two grandmothers, Donnie Brinkman of Kingston,
Oklahoma, and Ruby and Milton Lewis of Granite, Oklahoma; one great-grandfather, Jake Fowler of Altus,
Oklahoma; one great-great grandmother, Myrtle Johnson of Altus; three uncles, Chad Johnson and wife Kelli of
Wilson, Oklahoma, Britt Johnson and wife Suzy of Edmond, Oklahoma, Terry Farr of Wagoner, Oklahoma; two
aunts, Tina Strickling and husband Joe of Midland, Texas, Tammy Apt and husband James of Sentinel,
Oklahoma; cousins, Nathan Helm and Arron Johnson of Wilson, Austin and Hannah Johnson of Edmond, Heidi
and Hayley Lindgren of Sentinel, Forrest Withers of Sentinel, Coleman, Jordan, and Wyatt Farr of Wagoner; two
great uncles, Kenneth Fowler and wife Georgetta of Headrick, Oklahoma, and Mike Johnson and wife Brenda of
Falcon, Colorado; four great-aunts, Jimmie Nell Pena and husband Dennis of Blair, Dorsi Christensen of
Weatherford, Oklahoma, Denise Ross and husband Johnnie of Purcell; Teresa Butchee and husband Chuck of
Warren; second cousins, Brodie Butchee of Blair, Heath and Jennifer Holsey of Altus, Kyle and Kelby Fowler of
Headrick, Greg Johnson of Falcon, Colorado, Trent Johnson and wife Cindy of Pueblo, Colorado, Scott Young
and wife Deanna of Sherman, Texas, Jerry Don Jackson and wife Rhonda of Blair, Todd Ward of Kansas City,
Kansas, Marnie Climer and husband Mike of Springfield, Missouri, Cody West of Springfield, Lacy Davison and
husband Linc of Davidson, and Caly Christensen of Weatherford; great-great aunts, Jacqueline Jenkins of
Springfield, Nelda Gramling and husband TL of Altus; great-great uncles, Donald Johnson and wife Bonnie of
Bethany; other family, Benita Berceqeay, Diane Fowler, Kreighton Holsey, Mikaela and Kenna Johnson, and
many other close friends throughout Oklahoma and Texas.
He is preceded in death by two grandfathers, Don Farr and Lynn Johnson, and four great-grandparents,
Lloyd and Inerd Johnson, and Ernest and Mona Farr.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 3, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lowell-Tims Chapel in Altus.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, April 4, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Altus with Dr. Jeff
Moore and Reverend Randy Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Blair Cemetery in Blair, Oklahoma, under
the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

A Memorial Fund will be set up at People’s State Bank in Blair towards establishing a Jesse Farr Scholarship
Fund.

Marcel “Sam” Faucher

Marcel “Sam” Faucher, age 84 of Altus, passed away April 29, 2003. Services are set for Friday, 10:00
A.M. at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery. The
family will receive guests at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M.
Sam was born on September 17, 1918 in Quebec, Canada to parents Neree and Celarie Faucher.
Sam joined the United States Army during World War II and served until retirement. He went on to work
many years for the Civil Service. Sam was united in marriage to Mattie Rutledge at Hattiesburg,
Mississippi on April 30, 1942. They enjoyed many years of marriage. Sam attended Prince of Peace
Catholic Church and was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed following the Oklahoma Sooners, Dallas
Cowboys and Atlanta Braves.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie in October of 1997; one daughter, Sarita Levchik and his
parents. Sam is survived by one son, John Faucher and wife Sherry of Altus; grandchildren, Samantha
Faucher of Altus, Julie and husband Scott Johnson of Clute, Texas, Johanna “Jo-Jo” Levchik of
Aberdeen, South Dakota and great grandchildren, Dailee and Darcee Johnson. Other relatives include
Margie Belliveau of Pueblo, Colorado.

Guadalupe Felan

Guadalupe Felan, age 88 former Altus resident passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008 in Yukon, Oklahoma.
He was born May 19, 1919 in Kingsburg, Texas to Narcisso Felan and Tomasa (Garcia) Felan.
Guadalupe and Petra Felan were united in marriage in Sarita, Texas. She preceded him in death November 2, 1992.
Guadalupe moved to Jackson County in 1961. He had lived in Yukon, Oklahoma for the last seven months. When
he and his family moved to Jackson County he worked in the farming industry. He worked for Lewis Jackson in Martha,
Oklahoma. He later owned and operated a auto mechanic shop for many years before he retired. He enjoyed fishing,
hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by seven children; Bob Felan and wife Sara of Altus, Oklahoma, Elena Garza and husband David of
Houston,Texas, Joe Felan and wife Alicia of Corpus Christi, Texas, Nancy Felan of North Carolina, Alberto Felan and
wife Stephanie of Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, Maria Wright of Yukon, Oklahoma and Richard Felan and wife Barbara of
Yukon, Oklahoma. He is also survived by one sister Manuela Arriola of Victoria, Texas; thirty-three grandchildren and
fifty-eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mr.and Mrs. Narcisso Felan, wife Petra Felan, and two sons Robert and
Samuel; four brothers and three sisters;two granddaughters Rosa Linda and Esmeralda Rameriz, two grandsons, Gasper
and PiFi; two great-grandsons, Rudy Roblez, Gabriel Adam Felan; one great-granddaughter, Amanda Hicks and one
great-great-great-grandson.
Graveside services for Guadalupe Felan are scheduled for Monday, April 14, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the Altus City
Cemetery with Rev. Tim Zeman officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Lina Lee Fellers

Lina L. Fellers age 91 passed away July 31, 2004 in Altus Oklahoma, She was born Oct. 15, 1912, she was the
daughter of the late Herbert Lee and Ruth Emma (Harper) McVay.
She married Herman Lee Fellers Jan.9, 1955 in Altus and Herman preceded her in death Oct 21, 1977.
Lina Lee worked for Arkansas Louisiana Gas Company, over 40 years before retiring, she was a life long
resident of Altus and Jackson County, she attended Altus Junior College and Oklahoma College for Women in
Chickasha, she was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Altus.
She is survived by 2 Nephews, Michael L. McVay of Seven Lakes, NC and Donald C. McVay of York, Penn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, Donald R. McVay.
Graveside services are scheduled for Saturday, Aug 7, 2004 at 9:30am at the Altus Cemetery under the
direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Louise Fisher

Louise Fisher was born Oct. 24, 1914 in Dallas County, Texas. She was the daughter of the late W.L. &
Esterlee (Cooley) Davis. She died Aug. 25, 2003 at the Jackson County Memorial Hosp.

She married J. T. Fisher and he preceded her in death, Aug. 22, 1982. She was a long time resident of
Jackson County and a member of the 1st United Methodist Church.

Survivors include

BETTY JEAN FLODEN

Betty Jean Floden, age 74 of Altus, OK, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2005. She was born on November 19,
1930 to the late Fredrick & Alfreda (Junker) Kermnitz. She was raised on the family farm and schooled at Varna,
Illinois.
Betty was united in marriage to her best friend Chester Allen Floden on November 19, 1950. She raised two
children; a daughter, Cindy Lynett Wheeler and Joseph Floden (aka Jeff Davis) both of Bonham, Texas.
Betty was preceded in death by her twin brother Robert Kermnitz and
a daughter-in-law, Delores Floden.
She was greatly loved by those who survive her: husband, Chester Floden, Altus, OK; daughter, Cindy Wheeler &
husband David, Bonham, TX; son, Joseph Floden (aka Jeff Davis) & wife Becky, Bonham, TX; Grandchildren:
Brandy Tristan & husband John, Altus, OK; Lori Floden, Bonham, TX; Fred Floden, Bonham, TX and Tiffany
Floden, Montana; Great-Grandchildren: Kristopher Cloudt, Bonham, TX; Dakota, Toby & Kaleb Tristan, Altus, OK;
brother, Bill Kermnitz & wife Mary, Varna, Ill.
A Memorial Service for Betty Jean Floden will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at Grace United
Methodist Church, Altus OK, with Rev. George Lupton officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Richard Flood, age 44, Stephen Flood, age 9, Micah Flood, age 8, and Joshua Flood, age 5, died early
Friday morning, April 24, 2009, as the result of a tragic auto accident.

Richard Allen Flood, Sr. was born June 6, 1964, in Idabel, Oklahoma, to Caril D and Mary Francis
(Gill) Flood. He married his high school sweetheart, Ruby Ann Espinosa in May of 1988. Richard was
employed at Bar S Foods in the maintenance department for several years and loved his work.
Richard, Ruby, and their children lived a wonderful Christian life…if ever God chose ministers, the Flood
family rose to the challenge that God gave. Each child was a joy to those around them and was always
ready to tell anyone about God. There was never a time that the family would turn their backs on
someone in need. After becoming members of the church, they were inspirational to all who met them.

Stephen Andrew Flood was born January 4, 2000, in Altus, Oklahoma. He was a third grader at the
Duke Elementary School. Jeremiah Micah Flood was born February 7, 2001, in Altus and was a
second grader at the Duke Elementary School. Their teachers and fellow students loved both boys.
Joshua Paul Flood was born January 7, 2004, in Altus. His mom, Ruby, was home schooling Josh and
was a very good student.

Richard, Stephen, Micah, and Joshua are survived by their mother, Ruby Ann Flood of Olustee; three
brothers, Nicholas Hunter Espinosa, Richard Allen “R.J.” Flood, Jr., and Derek Levi Flood, all of Altus;
Richard’s three brothers, Calvin Flood and wife Patricia of Tipton, Oklahoma, James Flood and wife
Sandra of Blair, Oklahoma, Thomas Flood and wife Amy of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; his two sisters,
Margaret Burden of Altus and Glennet Rammage and husband David, also of Altus; over fifty nieces,
twenty nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews on both sides of the family. Also
surviving are the boys’ aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins on their mother’s side of the family.
Richard’s parents, Caril and Mary Flood, preceded them in death.
An account has been set up for the Flood family at First State Bank in Altus for memorial donations.
Funeral Services for Richard Flood, Stephen Flood, Micah Flood, and Joshua Flood were held at 2:00
p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Lowell-Tims Chapel in Altus with Bro. Lionel Mounce officiating.
Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Nicolasa Flores

Nicolasa Flores, age 95 of Altus, passed away at her home Saturday, February 28, 2004.

Nicolasa was born September 10, 1908, in Nueva Rosita Coahuila, Mexico. She married Felix Flores and he
preceded her in death in 1985.

She is survived by seven children, Hope Estrada of Altus, Steven Angelo, Texas, Paula Ledesma of Elsa,
Texas, Janie Revilla, and Margarita Flores, both of Altus. She is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 59
great-grandchildren, and 28 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her
husband, and four sons, Elibito, Ramon, Manuel and Frank

A Rosary will be held 7:00pm Monday at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Altus. Funeral services will be
held 12:00pm Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at the Prince of Peace Church with the Rev. Joseph Arledge officiating.
Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
