Marcus Goodlow

Marcus Goodlow, age 51, a long-time resident of Altus, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008 in Hominy,
Oklahoma.

Marcus was born on February 23, 1957 in Altus to Gilbert and Jessie Mas (Weaver) Goodlow. He married Debra
Jones in Altus in 1980. Marcus was a member of the Altus Church of Christ and worked as a machine operator for
Altus Co-op Compress. He enjoyed playing football, basketball, track and racing cars. Marcus loved his family and
he will be missed very much.

Preceding Marcus in death were his parents Gilbert and Jessie Mas Goodlow; one brother, Arthur F. Goodlow;
and one sister, Sophia Goodlow.

Marcus is survived by his wife Debra Goodlow; three children, Sheretta Steven of Altus; Markeva Goodlow of
Tulsa; Marcus Lamont Turner and his wife Dederia Pease of Altus; four brothers, Henry Goodlow and his wife Debra
of Altus; Charles Goodlow and his wife Patricia of Altus; Richard Goodlow of Altus; Ricky Goodlow of Lawton; three
sisters, Lanaisse Goodlow of Pembroke, Kentucky; Sharon Ricks of Altus; Henrietta White of Taft, Oklahoma.
Other survivors include grandchildren; other relatives, and many friends.

Services for Marcus Goodlow will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, September 11, 2008 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with
Reverend De W. Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims
Funeral Home.

The family of Marcus Goodlow will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday September 10, 2008 at
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

GOODMAN

Tommy Will Goodman, age 78, of Mangum, passed away late Tuesday evening at Mangum Community Hospital.

Tommy was born on October 13, 1930, at Reed, Oklahoma to Adolphus and Viola (Bogart) Goodman. Moving
to Vinson as a teenager, the family later moved to Mangum where he graduated from high school in 1950. On
August 12, 1950, he married Ethel White, the love of his life, and they spent the next fifty-eight wonderful years
together. Working as grocery store butcher for a short time, Tommy later spent thirty-one years as a mail carrier
for the United States Postal Service in Mangum. After his retirement, Tommy faithfully visited the hospital and
nursing home on a near daily routine. A Godly man, Tommy faithfully served the Mangum Church of Christ as a
deacon, and later an elder for many years. In his spare time, he worked with the Greer County Election Board
and was known to drink coffee with many of his friends in the local restaurants, but his favorite pastime was
keeping his grandchildren and caring for his friends and family.

Preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary Louise Fletcher and one daughter, Mary Alice Pitts, he is
survived by his loving wife, Ethel, of the home; two children, Tommy Stephen Goodman and wife Lynette of
Sayre and Carrie Louise Statler and husband Bobby of Tulsa; one son-in-law, Brett Pitts of Mangum; one
brother-in-law, Ernest Fletcher of Amarillo; two brothers, Ed Goodman and wife Nancy of Vernon, Texas and
Jerry Goodman and wife Donna of Tulsa; five grandchildren, Cassey Clayman and husband Michael of Hereford,
Texas, Autumn Norwood and husband Philip of Stillwater, Jenny MacDonald and husband Dustin of Stillwater,
Rowdy Pitts and Kylie Pitts of Mangum; one great grandson, Wyatt Clayman of Hereford, Texas along with
many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Tommy Goodman will be at 10 a.m., Friday, May 29, 2009, at the Church of Christ with
Todd McRay and Eddie Beard officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of
Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.

Kitty Lou Goodson

Kitty Lou Goodson, 78, of Olustee, passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital
in Altus.

Kitty was born July 27, 1928, in Comanche, Texas, to Luther and Stella (Keeton) Reeves. She attended school in
Abilene and later married B.W. Goodson on January 2, 1945, in Abilene. She and her husband, who was a Baptist
preacher, lived in several Texas and Oklahoma towns. They moved from Pecos, Texas, to Russell, Oklahoma in 1962.
Kitty also lived in Granite, Blair, and Olustee.

Kitty loved being a preacher’s wife and homemaker and was a talented artist. She also loved to sew and made all
her daughter’s clothes as well her own for many years. Kitty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Olustee.

She is survived by three children, Dena Blain of Olustee, Craig Goodson and wife Rachel of Wichita Falls, Texas,
and Andy Goodson and wife Linda of Colbert, Oklahoma; a son-in-law, Buford Blain and wife Wanda of Lone Wolf,
Oklahoma; one brother, Wayne Reeves and wife Sharon of Sweetwater, Texas; six grandchildren, Sherry Spann and
husband Jimmy, Debbie Williams, Shane Goodson, Dwayne Blain, Travis Goodson and wife Kathy, and Shanna Hall
and husband Sherman; her great-grandchildren, Kitty Williams, Tylor Williams, Reba Spann, Shania Spann, Abigail
Harris, Rebekah Harris, Samantha Goodson, Nathaniel Goodson, Benjamin Goodson, Megan Goodson, the twins,
Kirsten Goodson and Caleb Goodson, Aubrey Goodson, James Hall, and Matthew Hall.

Kitty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, B.W. Goodson June 28, 1998; a brother, William
Reeves, and one sister, Elouis Shelton.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 31, at Lowell-Tims Chapel in Altus with Reverend Max Gunn
officiating. Interment will follow at Roosevelt Cemetery in Roosevelt, Oklahoma, under the direction of Lowell-Tims
Funeral Home.

Thelma Jewel Gorham

Thelma Jewel Gorham, age 76 passed away February 2, 2005 at Plantation Village Nursing Center.
She was born to Jim and Mandy Young on July 28, 1928 in Velma, Oklahoma.
Thelma married William Clearance Gorham on Jan 5, 1967 in Carlsbad, New Mex.
She was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church and attended regularly until moving to Plantation Village Nursing
Center. William and Themla shared a unique kind of love for each other. There wasn’t anything that Bill wouldn’t do
to make her happy. He was very devoted to her; he did whatever it took to make her happy, including going to
Burger King for her favorite French toast sticks for breakfast! He was always there for her during her illnesses and
took special care of her.
Thelma is survived by her husband, William Clearance Gorham of 38 years, three daughters; Darlene Martin and
husband Earl of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Janet Sue Schwemley and husband Glenn of Carney, Oklahoma,
Monica Renee Willingham and husband James of Altus, Oklahoma, one son Jerry Wayne Harris and wife Katherine
of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, two step-daughters; Daren Berry and Brenda Duke both of Texas, one brother
Lawrence Young and wife Willie Mae of Madill, Oklahoma and fourteen grandchildren and fourteen great
grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister; Marie Britt and one brother; Junior Young.
Services will be held Saturday, February 5, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Boyd
Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery. Under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral
Home.

GRANADO

Ariana Granado died the Oklahoma University Children’s
Medical Center October 12, 2012. Graveside services were held
Tuesday October 16, 2012 at the Victory Cemetery under the
direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Don Nell Graves

Don Nell (Adams) Ware-Graves, age 82, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at her home in Altus.

Don Nell was born February 23, 1926 in Manitou, Oklahoma to John Thomas and Laura Pearl (Parks) Adams.
She spent most of her life in Altus and on March 18, 1944 she married Orville “Buddy” Ware in Altus. Two daughters
were born of this union. During her life she worked in farming, as a waitress and a presser in various cleaners in town.
In 1976 Don Nell and Buddy opened Buddy’s Cleaners and were operating it when Buddy passed away May 9,
1984. Don Nell continued to operate Buddy’s Cleaners until her retirement in 1991. On February 18, 1995 she
married Wayne Graves and he preceded her in death on November 29, 2008. She suffered from a stroke in 2003,
but always kept a happy outlook on life and was always laughing and smiling. She loved collecting dolls and going to
the senior citizens dances before her stroke. She also enjoyed being with her friends, especially her friends at adult day
care. She had been a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Altus. Don Nell loved her family and loved
being with them and she will be missed very much.

Preceded in death by her husband Buddy Ware; her husband Wayne Graves; her parents; two sisters, Edna Mae
Adams Graham; Francis Adams Cox Bolick Ballew; two brothers, John Thomas Adams Jr.; and Herman Adams;
Don Nell is survived by her two daughters, Linda Smith and her husband David of Blair; Becky Vigil of Altus; four
grandchildren, David Smith Jr. and his wife Misty of Duke; Brian Smith and his wife Belinda of Van Alstyne, Texas;
Christy Meli and her husband Randy of Blair; Melody Gibson and her husband Jerry of Altus; three great
grandchildren, Michael Smith, Brianna Smith, and Karee Smith all of Van Alstyne, Texas; one sister, Clorene Adams
Chambers Mckelvy Swaim and her husband Marvin of Hollis; one sister-in-law, Joyce “Sis” Ware of Hess; special
friends, Rick Garrison and wife Gracie of Lawton; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Services for Don Nell Graves will be on Friday, December 19, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home
Chapel with B.J. Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-
Tims Funeral Home.

The family of Don Nell Graves will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Wayne Graves

Wayne Graves, age 87, a lifelong resident of Jackson County, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2008 in
Altus.

Wayne was born in Ringling, Oklahoma on July 14, 1921 to Jeff and Bessie (Smith) Graves. He served his
country during WWII in Okinawa and received an honorable discharge in 1946. Wayne married Clara Mae Murphy
on December 27, 1941 in Altus and she precedes him in death. On February 18, 1995 he married Don Nell Adams
and they were married for thirteen years before his death. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hess and
was a Mason at the Elmer Lodge. Wayne farmed cotton in Hess most of his life and he enjoyed fishing, watching
baseball, and watching and talking about WWII. He enjoyed telling old stories and being with family and he will be
missed very much.

Preceded in death by his wife Clara Mae; his parents; two children that died in infancy, David and Mary; one
daughter, Marsha Garrison; three brothers, Paul Graves; Roy Graves; J.R. Graves; three sisters Lucille Ellis; Gladys
and Bertie; Wayne is survived by his wife Don Nell of the home; one son Eddie Graves and his wife Jan of Wichita
Falls, Texas; two daughters, Linda Smith and her husband David of Blair; Becky Vigil of Altus; son-in-law, Rick
Garrison and his wife Gracie of Lawton; one brother, Fred Graves of Altus; one sister, Ruth Thomas and her husband
Bill of Duncan, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Tony Garrison; Bobby Graves; David Smith Jr. and his wife Misty; Brian
Smith and his wife Belinda; Christy Meli and her husband Randy; Melody Gibson and her husband Jerry; three great
grandchildren; Michael Smith; Brianna Smith; Karee Beth Smith; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many
friends.

Services for Wayne Graves will be Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Lowell-Tims Chapel in Altus with
Reverend Randy Overstreet officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

The family of Wayne Graves will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, December 1, 2008 at
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Laverne Elizabeth Green

Laverne Elizabeth Green, age 83, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2005 at English
Village Manor.
She was born June 4, 1922 in Altus,Oklahoma, to Ida and William Steimer.
On December 27, 1945 in Vernon, Texas, Laverne and Hubert R. “Skeet” Green were united marriage. He
preceded her in death February 25, 2003. Laverne had lived in the Altus and Jackson County area most of her life.
She was very dedicated to her family and friends, and was always there when anyone needed a helping hand. Her
greatest joy in life was loving and being with her family, especially her children and grandson. She loved to entertain
her friends and will be remembered for the many “cookouts” she had for them.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Altus.
She is survived by one daughter Linda Carol Green of El Reno, Oklahoma; one grandson, Houston Reynolds Green
of San Antonio, Texas; one brother William D. Steimer of Eufaula,Oklahoma, sister-in-law, Billie Sue Chick of
Cedar Hills, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Skeet Green; son, Kenneth B. Green, one sister, Bonnie
Gayle Monnier, and one brother Jim Stroud.
Graveside Services for Laverne Green are scheduled for Friday, September 30, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the
Restlawn Cemetery with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral
Home

Linda Carole Green

Linda Carole Green, formerly of Altus, Oklahoma, passed
away in El Reno, Oklahoma on February 21, 2013. She was
the daughter of the late H. R. (Skeet) Green and LaVerne
Green and her late brother Kenneth (Kenny) Green.

She is survived by her nephew, Houston Green of Galveston,
Texas. Her aunt and co-guardian Billie Chick of Cedar Hills,
Texas, a cousin and co-guardian Betty Bearden of Yukon,
Oklahoma. She is also survived by her surrogate family and
caretaker of the past several years, Sondra Black and her
daughter Priscilla Chigaro. Linda loved this family as her
own and they loved her. She also leaves behind a host of
relatives and friends.

Linda's Graveside Services were held on Saturday, February
23, 2013 at Altus Restlawn Cemetery with Dr. Jeff Moore of
First Baptist Church officiating. Lowell Tims Funeral Home
was in charge of the service.

Elizabeth Josephine (Jo) Gregg

Jo Gregg, age 80 passed away Tuesday, December 23,2003 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was
born January 1, 1923 at Paris, Texas to Neal Duncan and Ali (Campbell) Duncan.

On February 8, 1947 in Altus, Oklahoma Jo and Thurman A. Gregg were united in marriage. Jo had lived in Altus
for over fifty-six years.

She was a long time member of Gamma Mothers Club, sponsor for the Kay Club at Altus High School, she was
also very active with the P.T.A. organization at Wilson Elementary School in Altus where her sons attended. Jo was a
long time member of the Elm and Hudson Church of Christ. She was a primary bible class teacher for over thirty
years.

Jo’s life revolved around her family and friends. Jo truly loved her Lord and people, and would never say no to
anyone in need. She will be truly missed by all those who knew her.

She is lovingly survived by her husband Thurman A. Gregg of the home in Altus, Oklahoma, four sons, Danny
Thurman Gregg and wife Lisa of Nashville, Tennessee, William Paul Gregg and wife Leslie of Nashville, Tennessee,
Joey Shane Gregg of Wichita Falls, Texas, Nicky Darin Gregg and wife Kim of Lebanon, Tennessee; one daughter
Eva Geske and husband Grant of Grand Junction, Colorado. She is also survived by one brother, James W. Duncan
of Lawton, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren, Shane Gregg, Lee Gregg, Mallory Gregg, Skylar Gregg, McKenzie
Gregg, Cassidy Gregg, Cody Gregg, Duncan Gregg, Carson Gregg, Maggie Jo Gregg, Colt Gregg, Gage Geske,
Nolan Geske, Lanie Geske.

Jo is preceded in death by her parents; Neal and Ali Duncan.

Funeral Services for Jo Gregg are scheduled for Friday, December 26, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at Elm & Hudson
Church of Christ with Bill Osborne officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery. Arrangements are
under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
