Presentacion Huerta

Presentación P. “Coin” Huerta, Jr., 64, of Altus, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at his home in Altus.
Presentación was born October 5, 1945, in Crystal City, Texas, to Presentación Huerta, Sr. and Belia Perez
Huerta. He farmed most of his adult life for several landowners in Jackson County.
He is survived by his sons, Michael, Mark, Jerome, and Matthew Huerta, all of Altus, and other relatives, Randy
T. Garcia, Diana G. Brown and Quincy Brown, Rhonda R. Garcia, Brandy Garcia, and Ruby Jackson. He is
also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.

Memorial Services were held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 8, 2010, at Lowell-Tims Chapel in Altus with Brother
Lloyd Lopez officiating.

Billy Huett Jr.

Billy Huett, age 17, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2005, as a result of a motor vehicle accident west of
Duke.

He was born June 12, 1988 to William Harvey Huett Sr. and Melissa Forehand in Richmond County, Georgia.

Billy enjoyed listening to music, playing video games, paintball and shopping with his friends. Writing poetry was
another pastime enjoyment as well as showing goats. Billy won several national awards for showing goats which
was a hobby that he developed with his dad. Billy always enjoyed the special times he had with his family and
friends. He was a volunteer fireman in Dellwood, Georgia. Billy worked for Taco Bell in Altus where he developed
an association of many friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. Billy is survived by his mother, Melissa L.
Coffin of Altus, Oklahoma; his father, William Harvey Huett, Sr. and wife Margaret of Dellwood, Georgia; one
sister, Ashley Huett and finance Roman J. Maguregui of Altus, Oklahoma; one brother Chris Tuttle of Altus,
Oklahoma; two step brothers, David Smith of Charleston, South Carolina and Shaun Smith of Beaufort, South
Carolina; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 2, 2005 at 10:00 am at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Interment
will follow at a later date in Georgia.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.

The family of Billy Huett will greet friends from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home on Thursday,
December 1, 2005.

Lillie M. Huey

Lillie M. Huey 87, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

Lillie was born May 15, 1921, in Bessie, Oklahoma to Samuel and Elizbeth (Fleming) Kiehn.
Lillie and Jessie L. Huey were married December 6, 1941 in Cordell, Oklahoma. They moved to Altus in 1966
where Lillie was employed at Jackson County Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 1983. Lillie was a member
of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Altus.
Lillie is survived by her husband Jessie of the home; one daughter, Joyce Wissell and husband Ron of Altus; one
son-in-law, Greg Rafferty of Altus; one sister, Rosella Sorrels of Claypool, Arizonia; four grandchildren; nine
great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.
Lillie was proceeded in death by one daughter, Patricia Rafferty; her parents; two sisters; three brothers and
one great-granddaughter.
Funeral Services for Lillie Mae Huey will be at 2:00 pm Monday, December 17, 2007 at the Emmunuel Baptist
Church with the Reverand Boyd Whitehead officiating. Intement will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the
direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends Sunday, December 16, from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Ronnie Lee (Hinkle) Hughes

Ronnie Lee (Hinkle) Hughes, age 92, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2004 at Jackson County Memorial
Hospital. Ronnie was born August 11, 1911 in Hess, Oklahoma to James Wiley Hinkle and Lula Ann Winn Hinkle.

Ronnie was a lifelong resident of Altus and Jackson County. She married James Alfred Hughes June 28, 1926
in Marietta, Oklahoma. Ronnie and Alfred owned and operated Hughes Drive-In Cleaners for many years. In
1949, Jackson County Memorial Hospital began serving patients and Ronnie was among the very first
volunteers that served. Known at the “Pink Ladies”, because of their pink uniforms, they served and still serve
sandwiches, chips, drinks and snacks to the patrons and patients of Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Not
only did Ronnie volunteer, she helped organize the “Candy Stripper” program for young girls to also volunteer.
One of her proudest accomplishments was in helping to organize the scholarship to one girl seeking to become
a nurse. Ronnie consistently worked as a Pink Lady from 1949 until October 2003. In addition, Ronnie was a
member of the First Baptist Church where she taught five year olds for over fifty years. She was also a member
of American Business Women’s Association, Rebekka Lodge, and was awarded the Woman of the Year Award.

Ronnie is survived by one son; Tom Hughes and his wife Donna of Midwest City, Oklahoma, one sister; Marie
Balthrop of Springfield, Oregon, one daughter-in-law; Kay Hughes of Midwest City, Oklahoma, seven
grandchildren; Kent Hughes, Scott Hughes, Brent Hughes, Paul Hughes, Brad Hughes, Ryan Hughes and Kris
Thompson and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons;
James Laverne Hughes in 1940 and Dr. Quillen Hughes, M.D. in 2003 and five brothers and sisters.

Services for Ronnie Hughes are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2004 at Lowell-Tims Chapel with Dr. Jeff
Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral
Home.

The family of Ronnie Hughes will greet friends, Sunday, June 6, 2004 at Lowell-Tims Funeral from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM.

HURD

Arlan Eugene “Gene” Hurd, age 68, passed away Friday, August 14, 2009, at Hospice House in Hutchinson,
Kansas.

Mr. Hurd was born on November 16, 1940, in Kingman, Kansas, to Arthur W. and Ethel (Logsdon) Hurd. He was
a graduate of Hutchinson High School. Gene faithfully served his country for twenty-six years in the United
States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant. Later he worked as a motorcycle mechanic for Altus Honda for
nine years. Gene was of the Methodist faith and was a member of VFW Post 4876 of Altus. On June 17, 1978,
he married Carol P. Wright in Hutchinson and they spent the next thirty-one wonderful years together before his
untimely death.

Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Elbert Hurd, he is survived by his loving wife, Carol, of the
home, in Altus; one son, Scott Russell and wife Patricia of Brownsville, Texas; two daughters, Vicki Churchman
and husband Daniel of Leesburg, Georgia and Lisa Knoll and husband Scott of Garden City, Kansas; one
brother, Edward Hurd, Sr., of Hutchinson, Kansas; three grandchildren, Lauren Russell of Brownfield, Texas,
Russell Rhea of Leesburg, Georgia and Branee Knoll of Garden City, Kansas along with many other relatives
and friends.

Memorial services for Gene Hurd will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2009, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home
and Crematory Chapel with Chaplin Erin Martinez officiating. Inurnment services will take place at a later date in
Kansas. Services are entrusted to Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory of Altus.

Michael Mount Hurley

Michael Mount Hurley, 60, of Altus, passed away at his home Sunday, April 27, 2008.
Mike was born December 21, 1947, in Altus, Oklahoma, to Gillean and Marisue (Mount) Hurley. The only
son of their four children, Mike was the apple of his mother’s eye. He lived in Altus most of his life except for one
year when he lived in Oklahoma City and one month in Lawton. Mike worked at Jim Click Chevrolet as an auto
salesman for a number of years and was currently working at Wilmes Chevrolet, where he worked the past ten
years.
He served in the National Guard during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged in 1977. In 1978,
Mike and Brenda Ford were united in marriage and to this union, one son, Jay Paul Hurley, was born. Mike later
married Tamye Rowland September 1, 2000, in Vernon, Texas, and they shared seven wonderful years
together. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Altus and a long-time member and past
president of the Altus Jaycees.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tamye Hurley, of the home in Altus; one son, Jay Paul Hurley, one step-
son, John Forrest Weathers and wife Christina, all of Altus; one step-daughter, Shawnna (Weathers) Pence and
husband Jerimy of Elmer, Oklahoma; mother-in-law, Mable Rowland, of Altus; five grandchildren, Kailea Davlin,
Brayden Weathers, Emily Weathers, Hunter Pence, and Baylee Pence; three sisters, Susan Tinkle and husband
Steve of Thomas, Oklahoma, Nancy Horschler and husband John, and Jan Wills and husband Don, all of Altus;
Mikes’ in-laws, B.F. Rowland, Jr. and wife Marcia, Daphne Crossland, Jasper Rowland and wife Shirley, Lynn
Rowland and wife Pat, Steve Rowland and wife Barbie, all of Altus; six nieces, Kristi Wisely, Lisa Wills, Cindy
Wilson, Mary Lea Rowland, Rashell Johnson, and Blair Abernethy; seven nephews, Kevin Tinkle, Tim Wills,
Casey Rowland, Mike Crossland, Tyson Rowland, Jeff Rowland, and Blake Rowland; seven great-nieces, eight
great-nephews, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 29, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to Stillwater K Life, 3220 Cypress Mill Drive, Stillwater, OK 74074.

Funeral Services for Mike Hurley will be 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Chapel
with Kevin Tinkle officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims
Funeral Home.

HURST

Esther Faye Hurst, age 90, of Altus, passed away on January 19, 2007.

Mrs. Hurst was born on May 21, 1916, to William G. and Moss Matilda (Lindley) Thompson at Eldorado,
Oklahoma. She graduated from Lincoln School, near Eldorado, as the valedictorian of her senior class and
married Willis Newton Trammel on November 2, 1935. To this union, there were two children born, Barbara
Trammell and Jerry Trammell. After their marriage, they lived in Eldorado for a short time before moving to
Tulsa, during World War II, where Willis worked for Douglas Aircraft. Later, moving to Kermit, Texas, Willis was
killed in a work related accident. Mrs. Trammell and the children moved back to Eldorado for a short time and
then later to Altus where she met and married William Albert Hurst on September 15, 1947, in Headrick. Mr.
Hurst passed away in 1983, and Mrs. Hurst continued living in Altus until her death. She loved working as a
bookkeeper for many years with Anthonys Department Store, sewing and playing the piano, but most of all she
loved her church, First Baptist Church of Altus, and being involved in the mission work of her church. She was
instrumental in the beginning of the Spanish Mission Work in Altus.

Preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, seven brothers and sisters and two grandchildren, she is
survived by two children, Barbara (Trammell) Anderson and husband Harlan of Altus and Jerry Trammell and
wife Mary of Chester, Virginia; five grandchildren, Steve Anderson and wife Pat of Burlingame, California, Becky
Halsch of Cobb, California, Doug Anderson and wife Cari of Blackhawk, California, Mike Trammell of Denver,
Colorado and Lori Ankele and husband Tony of Denver, Colorado; Ten great grandchildren, five step
grandchildren, Merry Katherine, Jackie, Cain, Phyllis and Patty; one brother, Arvel Thompson and wife Willie
Ruth of Midland, Texas; one brother-in-law, Bobby Trammell and wife Joy of Pampa, Texas; two sisters-in-law,
Pearl Brown of Atlanta, Texas and Sherry Trammell of Eldorado along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Esther Faye Hurst will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Lowell-Tims
Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the
direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.

The family of Esther Faye Hurst will greet friends at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 23, 2007,
from 5 until 6 p.m.

HUTCHINS

Michael Ray Hutchins, age 32 of Altus, passed away late Tuesday evening, January 3, 2006 at Jackson County
Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Mike was born on June 2, 1973 in Minot, North Dakota to Larry and Vonda (Shelby) Hutchins. He loved working
with model cars, Orange County Choppers, watching stock car racing and going to the lake. His greatest love
was his son, Nicholas, and spending time with him.

Mike was preceded in death by his grandparents. He is survived by his wife, Karen Hutchins of Randlett,
Oklahoma, his parents; Larry and Vonda Hutchins of Burkburnett, Texas, his son, Nicholas Ray Hutchins of
Randlett, one step-son, Travis Elliott of Randlett, two sisters; Connie Bartlett and husband Steven of Altus and
Michele Garcia and Husband Jimmy of Burkburnett, Texas along with a host of many, many friends.

Funeral services for Mike Hutchins will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2006, at Lowell-Tims Funeral
Home Chapel with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus Cemetery under the direction of
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.
