Mary “Lou” (Taylor) Kelley

Mary “Lou” (Taylor) Kelley went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 7, 2005. She was born
on September 14, 1942 to Clyde and Billie Taylor in Altus, Oklahoma. Lou was an outgoing, friendly, loving
person who enriched the lives of everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by all who knew ad loved her.
Lou was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Clyde and Billie Taylor of Altus, brothers Larry Taylor and
Richard Taylor, both of Lawton. Grandson, Joshua Farmer of Duncan, Oklahoma and granddaughter, Rushina
Thornton of Oklahoma City.
Lou is survived by one sister, Donna Jenkins and husband Lee of Altus, Oklahoma and one brother, Gene
Taylor and wife Leda of Tampa, Fl., one daughter, Cynthia Lenard of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and three sons,
Bobby Vaughn and wife Michelle, Ron Vaughn, Dale Vaughn all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, four
granddaughters, Tiffany Farmer, Ashley Thornton, and Selena Vaughn, three grandsons, Cheyenne Lenard,
Michael and Brandon Vaughn all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is also survived by seven great-grand
children, Eric Woods, Isabella Giddens, Joshua Pierce, Austyn Smith, Trinidy Thornton, Alec Smith, and Leland
Farmers also of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Lour is also survived by a host of loving nephews, nieces, aunts,
uncles, cousins, and many, many friends.
A special thank you is extended to invaluable family friends, Peggy Nye, Debbie Whitfield, Jennifer Campbell,
Judy Kasner, and gratitude that cannot be expressed to Marie Ledford and Lou’s nephew, Tony Jekins.
Services will be held Friday, December 16, 2005 at 2:00 pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will
follow at Restlawn Cemetery.

KELLY

Evonne Kelly, 88, of Kingston, Oklahoma and formerly of Jackson County, passed away on Wednesday,
October 17, 2007, at the Family Care Center of Kingston.

Mrs. Kelly was born on March 15, 1919, to Jesse Lee and Emma Edna (Prewitt) Parker in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
After the death of her father, her family moved to Frederick, Oklahoma where she graduated from high school in
1938. Following graduation she worked at several jobs to help support her family. On February 8, 1941, she
married Iris Kelly in Frederick. In June of 1942, Iris began serving his country during WWII until October 1945.
Following the war, Iris and Evonne moved to Stockton, California to work in an aircraft factory. Two years later
they returned to Frederick where Iris opened a machine shop. In 1948, they purchased a farm near Martha and
Evonne supported the family as a homemaker. After the death of Iris in 1975, she moved to Altus where she
owned a Merle Norman business for several years, worked at the Surry Shop and operated a Christian book
store. Evonne was also active in the Sorisois Club in Martha and the First Baptist Church of Altus. In 1992,
Evonne moved to Peachtree City, Georgia to be closer to her family and returned to Oklahoma in December
2004.

Evonne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Iris; one son, Jerry Lee and two sisters, Barbara
Bilbrey and Glenna Wallace. She is survived by three sons, John H. Kelly and wife Mary Ann of Kingston,
Oklahoma, Gary Kelly and wife Louise of Cody, Wyoming and Don Kelly and wife Marsha of Norman, Oklahoma;
six grandchildren, Kristi Wade and husband David of Trophy Club, Texas, John Nikolas Kelly and wife Elayna of
Kaufman, Texas, CPT. Gary Lee Kelly of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Beth Kelly of Dallas, Texas, Holly Smith
and husband Eric of Tuttle, Oklahoma and LCPL Weston Kelly who is serving his country in Iraq; six great
grandchildren, John Thomas Wade and wife Tracy, Kelly Wade, Corbyn Kelly, Nikolas Kelly, Tyler Smith and
Tanner Smith; three great-great grandchildren, John Parker Wade, Haley Butler and Morgan Butler; one
brother, L.J. Parker and wife Reba of Ft. Worth, Texas along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, other
relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Evonne Kelly will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 20, 2007, at Lowell-Tims Funeral
Home Chapel with Jack LaFountain officiating. Interment will follow at the Martha Cemetery under the direction
of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in memory of
Evonne Kelly.

The family will greet friends on Saturday, October 20, 2007, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Oleta Rudd Kelly

Oleta Rudd Kelly, age 91, of Altus passed away Friday, December 16, 2011 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

She was born November 2, 1920 to Clarence and Winnie Rudd in Greenville, Texas. She graduated from high school in 1938; graduated from Texas Women's University in 1941; completed one year internship at University of Washington in Seattle, Washington 1942. Oleta married J.T. Kelly on October 14, 1942. She was the head dietician at Baylor Medical in Dallas, Texas for 15 years and dietician at Buckner Baptist Benevolences in Dallas for 15 years. She was a 50 year member of the American Dietetic Association.

Oleta loved all sports, especially the Mavericks, Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Rangers. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family, playing 42, visiting nursing homes, and attending church.

She also loved to travel, and was an avid water skier.

Oleta was preceded in death by her husband J.T. Kelly and a daughter Mary Gayle Kelly. She is survived by one son, Joe Kelly and wife Kris of Altus, Oklahoma; one daugher, Betty Doty and husband John of Stuart, Florida; seven grandchildren, Lesli Kelly and Chad Kelly of Altus, Oklahoma, Jonathan Kelly of Sublette, Kansas, Jerri Kelly of San Diego, California, Christopher Doty of Port Lucie, Florida, Andrea Rachal of Phoenix, Arizona, and Breana Miller of Louisville, Kentucky; three great grandchildren; her beloved dog Casey; and many friends.

A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date in Texas. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.

KELLY

Ophie Mae Kelly, age 75, formerly of Altus, passed away on Monday evening, November 12, 2007, at Memorial
Hermann The Woodlands Hospital in The Woodlands, Texas.

Mrs. Kelly was born on May 2, 1932, in Tipton, Oklahoma to Lee and Dollie (Holbrook) Jones. She attended
Laing High School and later moved to Altus where she obtained her Beautician's License. In 1957, she married
her husband of 30 years, Bill Kelly, and relocated to Houston, Texas. In Houston, Mrs. Kelly became a licensed
Realtor. Divorced in 1987, she enjoyed a successful career as a property manager and district manager for
numerous multi family properties throughout the greater Houston area. She also worked as an apartment
locator and most recently as a receptionist for a Houston area real estate office. She loved watching tennis on
television and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. Throughout her life, Mrs. Kelly was known for
her stylish appearance and striking red hair.

Preceded in death by her parents, one son, Ronald Lee Crocket and a brother, Roy Gene Jones. She is
survived by her daughter, Jill Liccioni and husband Chuck of Spring, Texas; one son, Charles Crockett of
Spokane, Washington; one sister Koelle Hunter and husband Patrick of Altus; their children, Air Force General
Rodney Kim Hunter, his wife Cindy and daughter Aaren of Lawton and daughter Kathleen Marshall, her
husband Charles and children Meredith, Patrick and Hunter of Altus; five grandchildren, Paige and Mitchell
Liccioni of Spring, Texas, Jim Crockett of Norman and Karen Crockett of Oklahoma City and Sgt. Danny
Crockett, wife Amber and great granddaughter Zara of San Antonio, Texas.

Graveside services for Ophie Mae (Jones) Kelly will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, November 15, 2007, at the
Tipton City Cemetery with Rev. R.T. Perry officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims
Funeral Home of Altus.

The family will greet friends from 9 until 10 a.m., Thursday morning at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

REX KEVIN KENDRIX

Rex Kevin Kendrix, age 45, of Martha, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, December 26, 2004 at Jackson County
Memorial Hospital. Rex was born March 20, 1959 in Hatch, New Mexico to Scott & Bettye Adams Kendrix. Rex
married Brenda Blain January 27, 1995 in Altus, Oklahoma. He attained Baptist services. Rex
was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Edward Kendrix.
His survivors include his wife Brenda of the home, parents Scott and Bettye Kendrix of Moore, Oklahoma, two
sons; Bobby Joe Kendrix of Moore, Oklahoma and Kevin Carl Kendrix of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one
daughter, Bettye Jo Kendrix of Moore, Oklahoma; step-children Kimberley Ethridge and husband Bryan of Altus,
Susan Garcia and husband Rudy of Altus, Oklahoma, Necole Stowe of Mangum, Oklahoma; five
step-grandchildren Lisa and Michael Stowe of Mangum, Oklahoma, Autumn Ethridge of Altus, Oklahoma and
Ryan and Junior Garcia of Altus, Oklahoma; one brother, Ricky Kendrix and wife Terrie of Moore, Oklahoma;
one sister, Diane Byrns of Moore, Oklahoma; his grandmother, Mary Adams of Vernon, Texas and one
grandson, Austin Nathaniel Kendrix and a host of friends.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2004 at Lowell-Tims Chapel with interment at the Altus
Cemetery with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Funeral services are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Kristi Kidwell

After a courageous battle with cancer, Kristi Rae Kidwell left this world to be with her Father in Heaven on
Tuesday, December 28, 2004 while surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Kristi was born April 3, 1970 in San Antonio, Texas to Jon and Billye (Lowe) Kidwell. The family moved to
Altus in 1979 where Kristi attended Altus Public Schools. She graduated from Altus High in 1988. She
continued her education by attending Western Oklahoma State College. During her teenage years, she was
very involved in Leah’s School of Dance, both as a student and as Leah’s assistant. She was a participant in
the Miss Altus Pageant and attended the Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute in Modern Dance.

Kristi moved to Ocala, Florida in the early 1990’s, relocating to the Dallas, Texas area in 1996. She worked
for Kimberly Stovall and Associates before becoming a legal assistant for Carlock & Gormley, LLP where she
was a treasured member of their staff since September of 2001.

She was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas. Kristi was an exceptional individual with
the God given gift of making others happy. She always had a smile and was ready to help others. After her
initial illness, Kristi completed training to become a volunteer for Grace Hospice of Plano, Texas.

Kristi was preceded in death by her brother, Jon Kidwell, Jr., her grandparents, Jim and Evelyn Lowe and
Bud and Kay Kidwell, and her godfather, Jack Carothers.

She is lovingly survived by her parents, Jon and Billye Kidwell of Altus, Oklahoma; two sisters, Jill Kidwell of
Carrollton, Texas and Dawn Kidwell Buentello and her husband, Jaime of Altus; one nephew, Jacob Kidwell of
Altus, who was the light of her life, and his expected brother or sister. Also surviving is her godmother, Joyce
Carothers of San Antonio, Texas and her aunt, Barbara Uhl and cousins, Jim Uhl, Lisa Evers, Kimberly
McKenna and Susanna Nash, all of California. She also leaves many great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends
who will all miss her greatly.

Services for Kristi Kidwell have been scheduled for 1:00 pm, Friday at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home with Mike
Trachman and Suzanne Mollison officiating. Interment will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday in the Quail, Texas
cemetery. The family will receive guests at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home from 6:30 until 8:00 pm on Thursday
evening. Memorials may be made in Kristi’s name to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

KING

Willie Morris King, age 90, of Altus, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, with his
family at his side.

He was born on January 14, 1917, at Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. He was a resident of Lugert, Oklahoma before the
creation of Lake Altus. Willie was the son of Enoch and Della (Gibbons) King, early inhabitants of southwest
Oklahoma.

Mr. King was the first selective service volunteer from Jackson County prior to WWII. He entered the service on
November 23, 1940, and sailed for Europe in October of 1941, as a member of the 15th Field Artillery. He
remained in the European Theater of Operations until the end of the war. He received five battle stars for his
participation in actions during the invasion of Normandy Beach and at the battles of Heartbreak Crossroads,
Ardenne, Brest and the Battle of the Bulge. A few years ago, the Altus Times honored Willie on Veterans Day
for being the first selective service registrant and he was taken to the train depot on a fire truck amid a parade.

Willie was a member and deacon of the Friendship Baptist Church, faithful choir member and a great lover of
music. His greatest love was his family and he will always be remembered as that hero all of us need in life to
keep the faith. He was a man who never had an unkind word to say to or about anyone and we will all miss his
example.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Andrew King, and a sister, Bertha Bleu. He is survived
by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Wilma King; two sons, Maurice and wife Kathy of Altus and Ralph and wife
Dolores of Fairview, Texas; two daughters, Marcia Brian and husband Richard of Altus, and Glenda Bram and
husband Rich of Altus; one sister, Ora Rogers of Clovis, New Mexico; fourteen grandchildren, Melissa and David
Hagen, Altus, Kara and Michael Falen, Edmond, Mollie King, Altus, Shannon and Debbie King, Plano, Texas,
Toby and Kim King, Oklahoma City, Whitney King, Dallas, Texas, Kim Brian, Altus, Angie and Ted Lawson,
Altus, Riccia and Erick Thomas, Pensacola, Florida, Rick Brian, Altus, Steve and Angela Brian, Altus, Brent
and Sarah Brian, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jennifer Marble, Oklahoma City and Chad and Leslie Marble,
Newcastle, Oklahoma; sixteen great grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren and many other relatives
and friends.

Funeral services for Willie King will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2007, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Ted Savage, Willie’s brother-in-law, officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery
under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.

The family will greet friends from 6:30 until 8 p.m. on Friday, April 20, 2007, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

KING

Wilma Pearl (Savage) King, age 87, of Altus, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June19, 2008 with
her family by her side.

Wilma was born on January 4, 1921 in Grand Saline, Texas. Her minister father brought the family to the
Warren community in 1926. She was the second daughter and the ninth of thirteen children of Walter and
Nancy (Nix) Savage.

Wilma was the loving wife of Willie King for 65 years. When her husband was called to war, she single
handedly cared for their eldest son. Upon his return, they relocated to the Friendship community, which always
remained their true home. The King home was the neighborhood gathering place because of the shared love,
affection and great food. Wilma was a tireless mother, grandmother and friend and will always hold a special
place in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.

Wilma was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. At all church events her generous heart was always
compelled to bring more than enough for everyone. Her greatest love was for her family. Wilma was a shining
example of the glue that binds good families together and the light in all our homes shine brighter because of
her. We will miss her tender love.

She was preceded in death by her husband Willie, parents, Walter and Nancy Savage, brothers Willie, Neely,
Drew, Raymond, Chester, Woodrow, Forrest, Sidney, and sister Thelma. She is survived by two sons, Maurice
and wife Kathy of Altus and Ralph and wife Dolores of Fairview, Texas; two daughters, Marcia Brian and
husband Richard of Altus and Glenda Bram and husband Rich also of Altus. Fourteen grandchildren, Melissa
and David Hagen, Altus, Kara and Michael Falen, Edmond, Mollie King, Altus, Shannon King, Plano, Texas,
Toby and Kim King, Oklahoma City, Whitney King, Dallas, Texas, Kim Brian, Hot Springs Arkansas, Angie and
Ted Lawson, Altus, Riccia and Erik Thomas, Pensacola, Florida, Rick Brian, Elk City, Steve and Angela Brian,
Altus, Brent and Sarah Brian, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jennifer Marble, Oklahoma City and Chad and
Leslie Marble, Newcastle, Oklahoma; seventeen great grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren and many
other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Wilma King will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2008 at Lowell- Tims Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Ted Savage, Wilma’s brother officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under
the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

The family will greet friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 22, 2009 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
