McCOMBS

Francile McCombs, age 89, of Warren, passed away Thursday afternoon, April 3, 2008, at English Village
Nursing Home.

Mrs. McCombs was born on October 26, 1918, in Durant, Oklahoma to Robert D. and Myrtle (Roberts) Scruggs.
Moving to Jackson County in 1923, at the age of 5, she attended Blair School for twelve years and graduated in
1936. For the next few years she helped her father on the family farm. On May 16, 1941, she married the love
of her life, Sam McCombs, and they spent the next forty wonderful years together until his death on October 24,
1981. After spending most of her life in the Warren Community, she moved to Altus on April 20, 2003, and lived
there until her death. Drinking coffee and visiting with family and friends were some of her favorite pastimes, but
watching baseball also ranked high among her favorite things to do.

Francile was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters, Lucille Scruggs, Lydia Scruggs and
Juanita Scruggs Wilson and one brother, Leamon Scruggs.

She is survived by three children; Sammie Cook and husband Sam of Altus, Eddie McCombs of Helena and Rex
McCombs of Elk City; four grandchildren, Scott Rice and wife Lisa of Duncan, Stacy O’Neal and husband Kevin of
Marlow, Sam Rice of Enid and Brady McCombs of Altus; six great grandchildren, Robbi Rice of Duncan, Alex Rice
of Duncan, Sierra Rice of Enid, Morgan Rice of Marlow, J.T. Ballard of Marlow, Landry O’Neal of Marlow and
McKenzie McCombs of Norman along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many
friends.

Funeral services for Francile McCombs will be at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home
Chapel with Charles Waugh officiating. Interment will follow at the Warren Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-
Tims Funeral Home of Altus.

The family will greet friends on Friday evening from 6 until 7 p.m. at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

McConahay

Elizabeth May McConahay, age 61, of Altus, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2007at Comanche County
Memorial Hospital in Lawton.

Elizabeth was born on March 29,1946, to Virgil and Cleta (Davisson) Decker at Kansas City, Missouri. She
married Stanley McConahay on December 11, 1965 at Richards Gabauer, AFB Missouri.

Elizabeth and Stanley moved to Altus in 1983 from Germany. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist
Church in Altus. Elizabeth was active in church and mission work. She worked with the S. W. Baptist Association;
a WMU Director for many years; a longtime member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed scrapbooking for her
grandchildren and spending time with her wonderful family and cherished friends.

Preceded in death by her father Virgil Decker; Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Stanley of the home;
her mother Cleta Decker, of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; three daughters; Kimberly Henson and husband James of Sparta,
Tennessee; Cindy Nelson and husband Chris of Blue Springs, Mo.; Jennefer Cox and husband David of
Shawnee, Ok.; three sisters; Jacqueline Kamphefner and husband Ron of Kansas City, Mo; Janice Hile of Kansas
City Mo.; Joyce West and husband Don of Greenwood, Mo.; two brothers; Larry Newman and wife Pat of Mt.
Home Arkansas; James Decker and wife Diane of Blue Springs, Mo.; three grandchildren; Amberly Ranae Cox;
Jacey Janae Cox; and Christopher Shane Nelson and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Elizabeth McConahay will be held at 2 p.m.,
Saturday, August 4, 2007, at Lowell-Tims Chapel with Rev. Boyd Whitehead officiating.
Interment will follow at Floral Hills East Cemetery in Lee’s Summit , Missouri on Monday, August 6, 2007 at 2p.m.

The family will greet friends on Friday evening, August 3, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Clarence Ervin McConnell

Clarence Ervin McConnell, age 67 passed away April 1, 2004 at Jackson County Memorial
Hospital.

Clarence was born November 18, 1936 to A.C and Mable (Henson) McConnell at Lindsey,
Oklahoma.

He is preceded in by his parents, Cecil, Raymond, Delbert, Alton, Charles, Margie McConnell,
Citron.

He is loving survived by one sister Betty Cunningham of Hobart, Oklahoma, one brother Loyd
McConnell of Altus, Oklahoma, sister-in-law, Rosie McConnell, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services are Monday, 2:00pm April 5, 2004 at Tipton City Cemetery.

Norma Gean McCuistion

Norma McCuistion was born Jan. 16, 1937 in Welty, Okla. She was the daughter of the late Fate and
Alta (Pulley) Welch. She died Sept.

25, 2003 at the Jackson County Memorial Hosp. She married Perry McCuistion, Nov. 3, 1955 in
Vernon, Texas. She was a long time resident of Altus and Olustee, having moved from Altus to Olustee
in 1949. She was a Baptist and her hobbies included crocheting, sewing, and playing bingo. Her family
was all important in her life.

Survivors include:

Colene Kellogg, and Wanda Rippy

Services for Norma G. McCuistion are scheduled for 10 AM Monday, Sept. 29, 2003 at the Olustee First
Baptist Church with Doug Altom officiating. Interment will follow at the Victory Cemetery under the
direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home

McCuistion

Ronnie Lynn McCuistion, 52, lifelong resident of Olustee, passed away Wednesday April 22,
2009.

Ronnie was born September 2, 1956 in Altus, Oklahoma to Perry and Norma (Welch)
McCuistion. He grew up and graduated from Olustee Public Schools. He received his BA Degree
from Southwestern University. On April 15, 1989 in Eakley, Oklahoma Ronnie and Denise were
united in marriage. They made their home in Olustee where they remained for several years. Ronnie
worked as a mechanic at Bar-S for several years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma. Ronnie is lovingly survived by his wife, Denise
of Altus; a son, Kaden of the home; one daughter, Jordyn, also of the home; his father, Perry
McCuistion of Altus; two brothers, Randy McCuistion of New Orleans, LA and Danny McCuistion and
wife Liz of Altus; two nieces, Whitney and Chelsey McCuistion also of Altus; and a host of aunts,
uncles, cousins, other relatives and many, many friends.

Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Local arrangements are under the direction
of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Eloise McDonald

Eloise McDonald, age 71 of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Friday, January 23, 2004 at Jackson County
Memorial Hospital. She was born August 15,1932 in Maude, Oklahoma to Jesse and Myrtle (Furr)
McDonald. Eloise had lived in the Altus area for many years. She was homemaker and enjoyed spending
time with her family and friends.
Eloise is survived by two daughters, Donna Prinos of Altus, Oklahoma, Laurna Badeaux of Houston,
Texas; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service for Eloise McDonald will be held in Louisiana at a later date. Local arrangements are
under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

McDuffey

Roberta H. McDuffey, 95, of Gatesville, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at a local care center in
Gatesville.
Roberta was born on July 15, 1913, in Martha, Oklahoma, to the late Robert Lee and Augusta Mae Sampler
Hamilton. She attended school all twelve years in Martha and graduated in 1931. She married Woodrow Wilson
McDuffey on May 1, 1936. Roberta supported her children by papering houses, taking in ironing, and pulling cotton.
She later worked in the school lunchroom as a cook. Roberta was a member of the Martha Baptist Church and taught
Adult Sunday school for years. In 1990, she moved to Gatesville, Texas, to be close to her daughter.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, J.D. Hamilton, Harold Hamilton, and Elvin Hamilton;
one sister, Wynelle Hawkins; daughter-in-law, Linda McDuffey, and a son, Doyle McDuffey.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Woodlock and husband Tim of Gatesville, Texas; daughter-in-law, Marjorie
McDuffey of Las Vegas, Nevada; son, John McDuffey of Mesquite, Texas; sister-in-law, Norene Hamilton of
Lawton, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren; thirteen great- grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren, and numerous
nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Roberta H. McDuffey will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at the Martha
Cemetery in Martha. The family will receive visitors from 5 until 7 p.m., on Monday, March 9, 2009, at Lowell-Tims
Funeral Home.

Betty Sue McElroy

Betty Sue McElroy, age 77 of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Monday, December 31, 2007 at the Oklahoma
Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

She was born October 3, 1930 in Altus, Oklahoma to Lillian Ruth (Holloway) Spears and W.T. Spears. Betty
was a graduate of Altus High School and later attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri.

Betty was a very dedicated OU Sports Fan. When she wasn’t watching sports she enjoyed playing cards
and loved reading books. She was a longtime member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Altus.

Betty is survived by three children; Carol McElroy of Altus, Oklahoma, Monty McElroy of Tulsa, Oklahoma
and Mary McElroy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is also survived by two granddaughters Katy Allen and
husband Sean of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lisa McElroy of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services for Betty Sue McElroy are scheduled for Friday, January 4, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St.
Paul's Episcopal Church with Rev. Mike Trachman officiating. Interment will follow in the Restlawn Cemetery
under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home

The family of Betty McElroy will greet friends Thursday evening January 3, 2007, 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research or to the charity of your choice in memory of
Betty Sue McElroy.

McELROY

Blanche Marie McElroy, age 80 of Warren, passed away at the home her husband helped build for her early
Thursday morning, January 4, 2007.

Marie was born on July 7, 1926, to Edley Ray and Arebell (Dorries) Gipson at Wellington, Texas. Moving to
Jackson County her junior year of high school, she attended Warren High School where she graduated. On June
23, 1945, Marie married the love of her life and soul mate, Leland W. McElroy and he preceded her in death in
1973. After establishing their home in the Warren Community, Marie began cooking at the Warren School and
continued to cook there until they consolidated with Friendship School and became Navajo. Marie retired from
Navajo School in 1992 after many years of cooking. Quilting, crocheting, keeping up with friends and family by
writing letters, collecting angels and dolls, attending family reunions, researching family genealogy and attending
Navajo Indian sporting events, particularly basketball, were the things she enjoyed in life.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leland; one son, Kerry McElroy in 1999, one sister, Juanita
Coleen Gipson; two brothers, Wallace Gipson and Larry Gipson, she is survived by her daughter, Kay Stewart
and husband David of Altus; a daughter-in-law, Anna McElroy of Deerfield, Kansas; three grandchildren, Beth
Black and husband Jared of Edmond, Amanda McElroy of Deerfield, Kansas, Jeff McElroy of Deerfield, Kansas;
one great grandson, Dax Graham Black of Edmond; a special niece, whom she dearly loved as her own child,
Marie Timmons and husband John and their daughter Jamie of Altus; one sister Margie Eilen Love of Choctaw,
Oklahoma; two brothers, Calvin Gipson and wife Joyce of Altus and Charles Gipson and wife May of Blair; two
sisters-in-law, Mildred Gipson of Texas and Carolyn Gipson of Blair along with many cousins, nieces, nephews
and friends.

Funeral services for Marie McElroy will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2007, at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Ralph Chapman officiating. Interment will follow at the Warren Cemetery under the direction of
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.

The family of Marie McElroy will greet friends from 6 until 7 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2007, at Lowell-Tims
Funeral Home.

Inavelle Letha McElwain

Inavelle Letha McElwain, age 69, died of Lupas related complications at Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma
City Sunday, September 14, 2003 following a lengthy illness. Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
Wednesday at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor Robert Marsteller. Burial will
follow at the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. The family will receive
friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Inavelle was born October 15, 1933 at Walters, Oklahoma and was the daughter of Houston and Irene
Burton. She attended school in Altus graduating from Altus High School in 1952. She attended Altus
Junior College for a time and went on to Realtors School. She married Keith McElwain in 1974 and
they moved out of state. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed square dancing
and golfing and was preceded in death by her parents and husband Keith McElwain in March of 1992.

Survivors include: Two (2) children; Gary Ledbetter of Oklahoma City and Peggy Fuerer and her
husband Mike of Del City, Oklahoma. Three (3) stepchildren; Terri Miller and her husband Mark, Janet
McElwain, and Chris McElwain. Sisters; Jeanell Rock of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Loretta Atchley of
Chickasha, Oklahoma, Rosalie Griffin of Aurora, Colorado, and Martin Burton of Colorado Springs,
Colorado.

Other survivors include: Three (3) grandchildren; Gary Robert Ledbetter of Oklahoma City, Ty David
Smith of Oklahoma City, and Jeffery Ryan Ledbetter of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Two (2) great
grandchildren; Robert Allen Ledbetter and Cierra Ledbetter along with an aunt and uncle; Roy and
Noreen Allen of Wichita Falls, Texas.
