IVAN LLOYD ROBERSON

Ivan Roberson, 84, passed away on March 28, 2005, at Epworth Villa Retirement Community in Oklahoma
City. He was born on November 19, 1920, in Duke, Oklahoma.

“Shorty, ” graduated from Duke High School in May 1938. He attended Murray State College, Mangum
Junior College and Southwestern State College in Weatherford.

When World War II began, Ivan joined the US Navy as a Seaman First Class aboard the USS Lake
Champlain.

Ivan worked for the IRS and Travelers Insurance Company before he bought into an insurance and real
estate business in Altus which became Gregg, Buck and Roberson.
Ivan and his wife Dicy were avid supporters of Oklahoma State University. Ivan served on several committees
and boards on the local, district and conference level within the United Methodist church. He was also active in
the community serving in leadership positions with the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, Masonic Lodge,
and Elks Lodge. In 1979 Ivan was elected President of the Oklahoma Independent Insurance Agents
Association.

Ivan is preceded in death by his parents Luther and Anna Lou Roberson, his wife Dicy; three brothers: Esco,
Ernie and Earl. He is survived by three children: son Ivan, Jr. (Rob) and his wife Chris of Chanhassen,
Minnesota; daughter Carol and her husband Harold Wright of Weatherford, Oklahoma; son Martin and wife
Linda of Tulsa, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren living in Texas, Oklahoma, and Minnesota; three sisters-in-law:
Gladys Foreman and her husband Rusty of Altus, Dorris Smart of Wichita Fall, Texas and Royleen Wells and
her husband Charles of Oklahoma City; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at First United Methodist Church in Altus on Thursday at 10:00 with interment following
at Restlawn Cemetery, Under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. There will also be a Memorial
Service at the Brill Chapel at Epworth Villa Retirement Community in Oklahoma City at 10:00 on Friday. In lieu
of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to First United Methodist Church in Altus or the
Oklahoma State University Foundation.

Violet Mae Bassel Roberson

Violet Mae Bassel Roberson, age 79, of Duke, Oklahoma passed away Friday, March 19, 2004 at Jackson
County Memorial Hospital. Services have been scheduled for 10:00 am, Monday, March 22, 2004 at
Lowell-Tims Chapel with Ardron Hinton and Eddie Beard officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Cemetery
under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Violet was born May 1, 1924, in Jackson County, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Joe and Alma
(Jackson) McKibbin. She grew up in the Duke area. On October 9, 1942, Violet and Otis Bassel were united in
marriage in Durant, Oklahoma. Otis preceded her in death October 5, 1986. On June 15, 1991, Violet married
Ernie Roberson in Duke, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death August 25, 1998.

Violet was a member of the Duke Church of Christ. She also belonged to the Wednesday Club, the Town
and Country Club and the Bridge Club. Violet was an elaborate seamstress and loved to make clothing for her
family, who were the love of her life. She also enjoyed playing cards as often as possible. She was an
insurance agent for Farmers Union Insurance and owned the Bassel Agency in Duke.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Otis Bassel and Ernie Roberson; four brothers
and sisters, Joe Dial McKibbin, Ozell Marie Smith, Clay Allen McKibbin, and Josie Oreatha Moore; and by one
grandson, Tobin Luke Bassel.

Violet is lovingly survived by two sons, Rodney Bassel and his daughter, Blakley Bassel both of Lawton, and
Larry and JoAnn Bassel of Duke, and their children, Jason Birdwell of Wayne, Oklahoma, Theodore and Danica
Birdwell and their son Clayton of Duke, and Tanner Bassel of Duke; one daughter, Lisa and Joe Renfro of Duke
and granddaughter, Megan and Raymond Ornelas and great-grandchildren, Colby, Alyssa, and Conner, of
Duke, granddaughter, Haley and Randy Allen of Childress, Texas, and grandson, Kade Renfro of Duke.

MaeLeda Roberts

MaeLeda Roberts age 85 of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, April 24, 2005 at Jackson County
Memorial. She was born March 13, 1920 in Altus, Oklahoma to Cecil Littlefield and Willie (Brawley) Littlefield.

MaeLeda had lived in Altus all of her life. On April 7, 1941 in Martha, Oklahoma Maeleda married Doyle
Roberts. He preceded her in death June 11, 1956. She worked for many years as the manager of
Cattlemens Cafeteria in Altus. She also worked in sales at Wackers and Winns Department Store for several
years before she retired. After Maeleda retired she enjoyed working in her yard and cooking for her family.
Her most enjoyable moments were spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the First
Baptist Church in Altus.

She is survived by two children, Morris Roberts and his wife Marilyn of Headrick, Oklahoma, Beverly
Wilson and her husband Larry of Altus, Oklahoma; one brother Russell Littlefield and his wife JoAnn of
Georgia. She is survived by her grandchildren, Misty Roberts, Jacob Wilson, Kristi Sanchez; four
great-grandchildren Robert, Sarina, Sabastian, Shyanne. MaeLeda is survived by a host of nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends. She is also survived by her special friend Dovie Dishman of Altus, Oklahoma.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Doyle Roberts, three brothers Art, Haywood, W.C.
and one sister Ruth.

Funeral Service for MaeLeda Roberts is scheduled for Thursday, April 28, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends Wednesday evening April 27, 2005 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Fred Robertson

Fred Robertson, age 75 of Elk City, passed away February 8, 2003. Services, under the direction of
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus, are set for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 9, 2003 at the Kingdom
Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery.
Fred was born to parents C.J. Robertson and Flocie Stockton Robertson on April 17, 1927 in Pittsburg
County, Oklahoma. He grew up in the Altus area, and in 1947 was united in marriage to Lela Rutledge
at Altus. They enjoyed many years together and were both active and faithful members of the Kingdom
Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. In April of 1995, Lela preceded him in death. During the past few years Fred
lived at Elk City.
Fred is survived by three children, Wayne Robertson and wife Sherry of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Susie Horton
and husband Harry Horton of Altus, Linda Whitehouse and husband Karman of Broken Arrow,
Oklahoma; three sisters, Goldie Bennett of Altus, Juanita Talbot of Grandbury, Texas, Agnes Mason of
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren and numerous Nieces,
Nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lela Mae; son, Ronnie; Parents,
and brothers, Charles, Chester, Leonard, Foy and Tom.

Gerald (Jerry) Robertson

Jerry Robertson, age 69, passed away January 29, 2004, in Altus, Okla. He was born Feb. 10, 1934 in Altus,
Okla. He was the son of Johnnie Fain and LueVena (Loftis) Robertson.
Jerry graduated from Altus High School in 1952. He graduated from Oklahoma A & M in Stillwater in 1956 with
Bachelors degree in accounting. He served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1958 and was honorably
discharged. He had resided in Albuquerque, New Mexico for many years before returning to Altus in 1996. He
was a member of the NRA, IOOF Lodge, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where
he served as a Stake Missionary.
Survivors include:

3 Stepdaughter: Mary Jo Ferril, Plano, Tex

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Francis Robertson, and by an infant brother.
Services for Jerry Robertson are scheduled for 11 AM Monday, Feb. 2, 2004 at the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-Day Saints.
Interment will follow at the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
The family of Jerry Robertson will greet friends, Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004 from 5:30PM-8:00PM at Lowell-Tims
Funeral Home.

Leonard Dudley Robertson

Leonard Dudley Robertson, 97, of Altus, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011, at
the English Village Manor Nursing Home.

Dudley, as he was known by family and friends, was born May 20, 1914, in Tarrant
County, Texas, to Wesley and Lillie (Sparkman) Robertson. He graduated from Altus
High School and made his home in Altus, where he was self-employed as a
carpenter. Dudley loved to make music and was talented with a guitar, banjo, violin,
and harmonica.

Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, J.C. Robertson and Robert (Bob)
Elton Robertson, and four sisters, Sarah Elizabeth Ross, Dorothy Omega Ross, Millie
Harris, and Margie Draemer, Dudley is survived by one daughter, Betty Lynn; one
son, Ernest; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews,
and great-great nieces and nephews, and his special family for more than twenty
years, the staff and residents of English Village Manor Nursing Home.

The family of Dudley Robertson would like to thank all who helped him in any way
over the years ... may you be blessed for the care you showed.

Memorial Services for Leonard Dudley Robertson will be held 10:00 a.m.
Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at the English Village Manor Nursing Home, 1515
Canterbury Blvd., Altus, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of

Angel Antonio Roblez Jr.

Infant son of Angel Roblez Sr. and Jessica Hartford, Angel Antonio Roblez Jr. passed away Sunday, May 28,
2006 at Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Angel was born May 23, 2006, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his parents, Jessica Hartford and Angel Roblez Sr. of Altus, Oklahoma, Maternal
grandmother, Caren Hartford of Altus, Oklahoma, Maternal grandfather, Richard Hartford Sr. of Bailey, Co.,
Paternal grandmother, Irene Roblez of Altus, Oklahoma, paternal grandfather, Esteban Roblez Jr. of
Columbia, Mo., great grandfather, Richard Frank of Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, paternal great grandparents,
Francisco and Isabell Ruiz of Altus, Oklahoma, great grandmother, Narce Roblez, of Corpus Christi, Texas,
great grandfather, James Hartford and Darlene of Bailey, Co., and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at 10:00am at the Altus City Cemetery with Father
Joe Arledge officiating. Under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends Tuesday, May 30, 2006 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Domingo Roblez

Domingo Roblez, age 53, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2004, at English Village
Manor in Altus. Services have been scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, February 20, 2004, at Lowell-Tims Chapel
with Juan Gonzales officiating. Interment will follow in the Altus City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the
direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. The family will receive guests at Lowell-Tims from 6-8 pm on Thursday,
February 19th.

“Mingo” was born November 26, 1950, in Georgetown, Texas. He was the son of Cosme and Esperanza
(Guerrero) Roblez. He moved to Altus at a young age and resided here most of his life. Mingo was Custodian at
the Sunset School in Altus for over 23 years where he was well loved by Staff and Students alike. He enjoyed
playing pool, bowling, and checkers. His greatest joy was being with his family and family cook-outs. Mingo also
enjoyed all kinds of sports and loved to watch them on TV.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, “Cookie”.

Mingo is lovingly survived by three brothers, Frank Roblez of Altus, Cosme Roblez and wife, Roberta, of Altus,
and David Roblez and wife, Marty, of Childress, Texas; two sisters, Maria Perez and husband, Seferino, of Altus,
and Cathalina Roblez of Camden, Arkansas; and by nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Ramirez and husband,
Nelson, Linda Shimme and husband, Doug, Diana Spence and husband, Dave, Amelia Gallardo, Russell
Theademan, Sandra Perez, Sabrina Flores, Micheal Sadler, Patrick Roblez, Skyler Roblez, and Timmy Sadler and
by several Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and other relatives.

Esteban Martinez Roblez, Sr.

Esteban Martinez Roblez, Sr, age 60, of Altus passed away Sunday February 8, 2004, in Altus, Oklahoma. He
was born September 2, 1943 in Liberty Texas, to Domingo and Tearesa Roblez.
Esteban Martinez Roblez, Sr. served in the Army from 1966 to 1976 and was a member of the VFW. After his
service in the Army he drove a truck till his retirement. He was a member of The Prince of Peace Catholic Church
and lived in the Altus area for over 28 years. He married Narcedalia Solis on July 11, 1966 at Vernon, Texas.
He loved playing and spending time with all his grandchildren, fishing, playing checkers, and just making
everyone laugh and smile.
He is survived by his wife of the home; five sons, Esteban Roblez, Jr, of Missouri, IL, Matias Roblez of Altus, OK,
Salvador Roblez, of Chatham, NY, Robert Roblez, and Alfredo Roblez, both of Altus; two daughters, Rosario
Ryan of Eielson, AK, and Lisa Roblez of Altus, Ok; one brother, Santiago Roblez and one sister, Julie Zang, both
of Altus, OK; 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by his parents; five brothers and sisters, Cosme Roblez, Nicko Martinez, Prajedes
Roblez, Pancho Roblez, and Nene Roblez; and one grandson, Rudy Roblez..
A Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, February 10, 2004 at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2004 with Father Joe Arledge officiating.
Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Francisco G. Roblez

Francisco G. “Frank” Roblez, 54, of Altus, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2008, at Comanche
County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.
Frank was born May 5, 1954, in Georgetown, Texas, to Cosme and Esperanza (Guerrero) Roblez. His family
moved to Altus in 1966 where Frank attended Altus Public Schools. He worked as a custodian at Sunset
Elementary School in Altus from 1987 to 2003, where he was well loved by staff and students. Frank
enjoyed fishing, getting together with friends and family for cookouts, and watching all sport events on TV,
especially OU football.
His brother, Cosme Roblez, sister, Mary Perez and husband Seferino, and his brother, David Roblez and wife
Jo Anne, and many nieces and nephews survive Frank. He is also survived by his precious dogs, which he
considered his children, “Chance a Million” and “Emily Jones Johnson.” Frank took good care of them and
they took care of him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cosme and Esperanza Roblez, two sisters, Cookie Roblez and
Catalina Roblez, one brother, Domingo Roblez, and one niece, Diana Lee Spence.

Funeral Services for Francisco Roblez will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, August 22, 2008, at Lowell-Tims Funeral
Home with Reverend Larry Ortega officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction
of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
