Kameron Jayce Umana, four months old of Blair, passed away May 1, 2003 at Jackson County
Memorial Hospital. Services are set for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral
Chapel. The Rev.’s Randy Mitchell and Joseph Arledge will officiate and interment will follow at the
Blair Cemetery.
Kameron is survived by his parents, Giovani Umana and Viola Lake; Great grandparents, Lonnie and
Jimmie Lake of Blair and Teresa Azua Cruz of Altus; Grandparents, James “David” and Trudy Lake of
Blair, Yolanda Saldivar and Hector Umana of Florida; Aunts, Lorena Lake and Jewelyn Lake of Blair;
Uncle, Jacques Lake of Blair; Cousin, Andree Lake of Blair; Great aunts and uncles, Michael and Edna
Brannon, Gail and Tommy Tutten, Lynn and Pete Forester, Nita and Mark Farrington, John and Bobbie
Lake, all of Blair, Lloyd and Delena Lake of Martha, Angeles and Juan Lopez, Lourdes and Antonio
Gutierrez, Eloina and Armando Rodriguez, Elsa and Rodolfo Hernandez, Araceli and Fernando Julian,
Teresa and Jesus Saldivar, Chayo and Alex Garrido, Raymundo and Alicia Saldivar and uncle, Samuel
Saldivar of Altus. He is also survived by many other relatives and family friends.

LaJeune

Charles Ray LaJeune, age 64, of Duke, Oklahoma passed away Sunday September 16, 2007 at Jackson
County Memorial Hospital. Mr. LaJeune had owned and operated several restaurants in the Altus area
including the Cajun Kitchen. Funeral arrangements will be handled through Hixon Funeral Home in Lake
Charles, La. Local arrangements are with Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.

Bobby G. Land

Bobby was born March 4, 1953 at Tinker Air Force Base in Mid West City Okla. He died Jan. 16, 2007 in
Altus.
He was the son of Bobby Gerald and Delorese Lloyd Land.
He entered active duty in the US Air Force in Oct, 1971. He served 2 tours in Viet Nam and was hhonorably
discharged with 80% disability from the USAF in Sept. 1977. He was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Little
Rock, Ark. He graduated from Lake Charles High School in Lake Charles , La. He completed 2 years at Okla.
State Univ.

Bobby is survived by his parents Bobby Gerald and Delorese Lee Lloyd Land children,daughter Marielle
Land Howard and son, Christopher Paul Land. Three grandchildren, Caitlynn Marian-Jean Land, Jordyn
Cristopher Land, and Hunter Isaac Howard. One aunt Luella Land, one nephew Tyler Don Land, two niecaes
Suzette Hopkins , Michelle Connor and one sister-in law Donna Land.

He was preceded in death by one brother Philip Kent Land.
Memorial Service are Friday Jan. 19, 2007 at 1:30 Pm at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Dr. Jeff Moore
officiating. Interment will take place at the Altus Cemetery at a later date under the direction of Lowell-Tims
Funeral Home

LANDERS

Sandra Joan Landers, age 53, of Midwest City and formerly of Altus, passed away early Friday morning at
Midwest City Regional Medical Center.

Sandra was born on September 16, 1953, in Sayre, Oklahoma to Howard Welcome and Mary Joan (Shirley)
Waller. Moving to Mangum at a young age, she graduated from Mangum High School and continued her
education at Okmulgee Tech, obtaining a degree in accounting and finance. A longtime member of
Emmanuel Baptist Church of Altus, Sandra lived in several places and worked as an accountant and
bookkeeper. On September 15, 1994, she married Jon Landers in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Preceded in death by her grandparents and father, Howard, she is survived by her husband Jon, of the
home, two sons, Randall Taylor of Altus and Justin Bailey of Pratt, Kansas; her mother, Joan Callen of Altus;
two brothers, Ken Waller and wife Mary of Payette, Idaho and Terry Callen and wife Annette of Altus; two
grandchildren, Ashley Taylor and Corey Taylor of Plano, Texas; one sister, Charlene Joiner of Mangum; a
special uncle and aunt, Crawford Thompson and wife Billie Jo of Mangum along with many nieces, nephews
other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Sandra Joan Landers will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at Lowell-Tims
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Boyd Whitehead officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery
under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.

The family will greet friends on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, from 6 until 7 p.m. at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Jessie Kate Lanham

Jessie Kate Lanham, age 96 of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2006, at Plantation
Village Nursing Center in Altus.

She was born July12, 1910, in Pella,Texas, to Jasper Newt Shipman and Callie Roxanne (Laney) Shipman.

On August 17, 1927, in Martha, Oklahoma, Kate and Wortha L. Lanham were united in marriage at the
Martha United Methodist Church in Martha,Oklahoma. He preceded her in death January 22, 1996. They lived
in the Martha community until 1978 when they moved to Altus.

Kate worked as a sales clerk at the S&H Green Stamp Store in Altus for twenty-two years. She retired in July
of 1975. She was a longtime member of the U.M.W., and the Martha Homemakers. Kate was a member of the
First United Methodist Church in Altus.

She is survived by one son, Dale Lanham and his wife Doris of Wichita, Kansas; three grandchildren Craig
Lanham and his wife Lynn of Lenexa, Kansas, Karen Gawlik and husband Greg of Wichita, Kansas, Kay
Grubbs and husband Darrel of Hutchinson, Kansas; four great-grandchildren, Kyle Lanham, Eric Lanham,
Alesa Gawlik, and Zachary Gawlik.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and three sisters.

Funeral Services for Jessie Kate Lanham are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2006, at
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Player officiating. Interment will follow in the Martha
Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Kolby Dale Lankford

Sept. 1, 1977 - March 10, 2009

Kolby Dale Lankford, 31, of Vacaville, California, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 10, in Truckee, California.
Kolby was born on Sept. 1, 1977, in Elk City, Oklahoma, and raised with his sister, Crystal, and brother, Kris, by
loving parents, Arnold and Donna Lankford. Kolby met the love of his life, Ashley Davis, while she was attending
Oklahoma State University. Kolby and Ashley wed in a beautiful ceremony in Oklahoma City on Oct. 22, 2005.
Kolby and Ashley moved to Ashley's hometown of Vacaville, California, in the summer of 2005. At the time of his
passing, Kolby was employed by CHW in Sacramento as a sleep lab technician. Kolby and Ashley made their home
in Vacaville and were anxiously awaiting the birth of their first child. Kolby was an athletic individual whose passion for
baseball began in childhood and continued his whole life. Kolby especially loved snowboarding and spent a lot of his
time in Lake Tahoe enjoying the ambiance of the mountains, the lake, and the snow. Although born and raised in
Oklahoma, Kolby often said that he had found his true home on the West Coast. Kolby lived life to the fullest. He
was a quiet, deep thinking man, who though somewhat of a perfectionist, was loving and so very accepting of all
others. Kolby valued health and fitness and lived his life accordingly. His posthumous donation of his young and
healthy organs/tissues is estimated to save or

otherwise benefit sixty individuals.
Kolby is survived by his loving wife, Ashley, and unborn daughter, Claire of Vacaville, California; his parents Arnold
and Donna Lankford of Elk City, Oklahoma; grandmother Elwanda McComas of Elk City; grandmother Wanda
Lankford of Altus, Oklahoma; sister Crystal Bailey and husband Chuck of Edmond, Oklahoma; brother Kris
Lankford and wife Megan of Yorkville, Illinois; nephew Burke Bailey; niece Brylee Bailey, unborn nephew Kayden
Kolby Lankford; father and mother-in-law Greg and Kelly Alexander of Vacaville California; father and
mother-in-law Allen and Susan Davis of Kettering, Ohio; brothers-in-law, Jack and August Alexander; grand
parents-in-law Joseph and Shirley Foti; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, many friends, and his beloved
cat, Annie. His grandfathers, Bill McComasand and L.S. Lankford, preceded him in death.

A memorial service to celebrate Kolby's life will be held Tuesday, March 17, at 2 p.m. at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home
located at 1100 E Tamarack Road, Altus, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to The Claire
Lankford Fund, C/O Ashley Lankford, Bank of the West, 330 Davis St., Vacaville, CA 95688.

The family wishes to acknowledge the staff of physicians and nurses at Tahoe Forest Hospital in Truckee, California,
for their very compassionate care and kindness. The family also wishes to express their profound gratitude for the
incredible outpouring of love and support received from extended family and friends.

Law

Nelta (Kelley) Law, 74, of Altus, passed away at her home Saturday, March 15, 2008.

Nelta was born April 23, 1933, to Clovis and Esther Mae (Lanning) Kelley in Olustee, Oklahoma, where
she was raised. She attended school in Olustee from first through twelfth grade. After graduation, she
attended Lippert Business School in Wichita Falls, Texas, and then went on to Wayland Baptist College. Her
interest in business and computers was what she loved doing. She was employed as Association Executive
Officer for the Altus Board of Realtors from 1983 to 2008. She was awarded many awards, but the highest
honor that was bestowed upon her was by the Oklahoma Association of Realtors as a member of Omega Tare
RHO Fraternity. She was a member of Altus Association of Realtors, Oklahoma Association of Realtors, and
Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 4876.

She loved to spend time with family, realtor friends, and traveling. In December of 1961, she married Carl
Law and spent 40 years with him until his death in January 2002.

Nelta is survived by three sons, Kevin Law and wife Roben of Altus, Robert Law and wife Sherry of
Oklahoma City, and Mike Law of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Debbie Freeze and husband Gary of Altus;
grandchildren, Kyle Law and wife Staci of Altus, Karissa Heron and husband Tom of Oklahoma City, Mellissa
Law of Oklahoma City, Mica Peele and husband Chris of Oklahoma City, Jordan Law of Oklahoma City, Brandi
Law of Oklahoma City, Dustin Law of Oklahoma City, Ashly Kooken of Edmond, Holly Kooken of Altus, Justin
Freeze, and Brandon Freeze, both of Altus; four great-grandchildren, Micheal Heron, Mason Law, Lucas Peele,
and Sydney Heron; and all her Realtor friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; parents, Clovis and Esther Kelley; one sister, Rowena
Porter; one brother, Clinton Kelley, and one precious grandson, John Mark Pierce.

Funeral Services for Nelta Law will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Lowell-Tims Funeral
Chapel with Bill Osborne officiating. Interment will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the directions of
Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Douglas Michael Lawrie

Douglas Michael Lawrie, infant son of Stan and Karen Lawrie, passed away at Jackson County Memorial
Hospital on Monday evening, September 12, 2005.

Douglas Michael is survived by his parents, Major Stan and Karen Lawrie of Altus Air Force Base; two
brothers, Blake and Wade of the home; one sister, Kathryn of the home; grandparents, Douglas and Karen
Lawrie of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jerry and Kathleen Hobbs of Phoenix, Arizona; aunts and uncles, Jeanne
and Ken Farah of Indianapolis, Indiana, Judd and Wendy Lawrie of Indianapolis, Indiana, Joseph and
Stephanie Lawrie of Park Hill, Kentucky, Rebecca and Thomas Lynn of Waddell, Arizona, Elizabeth and Brent
Libby of Chandler, Arizona and Melanie and Chava Reyes of Chandler, Arizona along with a host of cousins
and family friends.

Funeral Services for Douglas Michael Lawrie will be Thursday, September 15, 2005 at the First United
Methodist Church at 10 a.m. with Rev. Margie Van Oostrum officiating. Internment will follow at a later date at
the U.S. Air Force Academy Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home of Altus.

T.L. Ledbetter

T.L. Ledbetter was born Jan. 14, 1927 at Globe, Tex. He was the son of the late Tom and
Myrtle(Stapleton) Ledbetter. He died Dec. 13, 2003 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. T.L
.married Sue Dennis, July 10, 1948 at Vernon, Texas. He served his country during World War II in the
United States Army. He was the Assistant Fire Chief with the Altus Fire Department when he retired.
He later was a truck driver for Bates Brothers Trucking. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of
Altus and a member of the Discovery 1 Sunday School Class. Favorite pastimes included reading,
fishing and spending time with friends over coffee and doughnuts. His greatest love was for his family.

Services for T.L. Ledbetter are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, Dec. 16. 2003 at the Lowell-Tims Chapel
with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus Cemetery.
The family will greet friends, Monday, Dec. 15, 2003 at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home from
6:30PM-8:00PM

LEDERER

Robert (Bob) Lederer, 69, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 27, 2009. Bob was born in
Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, on December 14, 1939, to Arthur and Marion (Jones) Lederer. During his
childhood days, Bob was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, attaining the rank of Eagle in 1954.
He enlisted in the Army Reserve at the age of 17 years while he was a junior in high school. He
graduated from Goodrich High School in 1958. On May 2, 1970, he married Judene Flanders in Fond
du Lac, Wisconsin. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Drury College in Springfield,
Missouri, in 1972 and a Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University in 1975. He was employed by
Legal Aid from 1975 to 1998. Bob was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United
States, U.S. Court of Appeals 10th circuit, and the Oklahoma Supreme Court.
Bob was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Altus, OK, Madison, Wisconsin, Masonic Lodge
#5, Guthrie Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Mason, Phi Delta Phi Honor Fraternity, Jackson County Bar
Association, and the Oklahoma Bar Association. He was a life member of the Reserve Officers
Association, a life member of VFW, and a perpetual member of Altus, Oklahoma, Masonic Lodge #62.
He served his country in Korea, Germany, and two tours of duty in Vietnam, all as an infantryman. He
retired as a Lieutenant Colonel after 27 years of honored service. Some of his many awards included:
Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Joint Service
Commendation Medal, and Army Commendation Medal.
Since his retirement in 1998, Bob and Judene have traveled in their motor home throughout the United
States and Canada visiting friends and family. They are members of the SMART (Special Military
Active Retired Travel Club) and Good Sams travel groups. They have enjoyed meeting with old and
new friends on their many trips. Bob also enjoyed fishing, hunting, snow skiing, and watching the
Green Bay Packers.
Preceded in death by his parents, Bob is survived by his wife Judene; their daughter Kristen Duerson
and husband Mike and their sons Kyler and Jared of Altus, Oklahoma; their son David Lederer and
wife Melissa and their daughters Meghan and Emily of Langley AFB, Newport News, VA; his friend for
57 years, Dave Nimmer of Woodbury, Minnesota; and mother-in-law Millie Flanders of Carlsbad, New
Mexico.
· Visitation - The family will greet friends at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus on Sunday, May
31, 2009, from 2 pm to 4 pm.
· Memorial - The funeral service will be held at on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 2 pm at the Lowell-Tims
Funeral Home in Altus. On a later day, Bob will be laid to rest at the Ledgeview Memorial Cemetery in
Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
Memorials may be designated to Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1901 Falcon Rd, Altus, OK.
