BOBBY RAY MANN

Funeral services for Bobby Ray Mann, 74, of Tuttle were held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the Tuttle First Baptist Church.

Bobby Ray Mann was born November 20, 1930 in Elk City, Oklahoma the son of Ray Floren and Mildred Winford (Scott) Mann and died May 25, 2005 in Norman, Oklahoma.

Bob and Joyce Hatchett were married June 17, 1949. Both are current members of the First Baptist Church of Tuttle. Bob had lived in Tuttle since March, 1959. He served in the U.S. Navy as fire control tech during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Coon Hunter Association and was a hunting guide and big game hunter in North and Central America. He played with the Senior Citizen’s Country and Western Band in the Grady County area for many years.

He was preceded in death by: one daughter: Cheryl Albers in 2002; Grandson: Bradley Holding in 1980 and his parents.

Survivors include: Wife: Joyce Mann of the home; three daughters and their husbands: Carol and Jerry Gravlee of Oklahoma City, Linda and Rick Trotter of Vernon, Texas, Merrell and John Havens of Alvaton, Kentucky; two sons: Larry Mann of Oklahoma City, John Mann and wife Yvonne of Newport News, Virginia; 10 grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

MARVIN BROWN

Funeral services for Marvin Brown, 75 of Minco were held Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 10:00 am at the Minco First Baptist Church with Rev. David Mercer of the Minco United Methodist Church and Rev. Curtis Robertson of the Canaan Baptist Church in Minco officiating.

Marvin Brown was born December 31, 1929 at Cogar to Ernest and Ora Edna (Tullis) Brown and died at his home in Minco on Monday, June 6, 2005. He lived in the Minco-Cogar communities all of his life and worked as a welder. He married Wanell Lumpkin on July 14, 1950 at El Reno. Mr. Brown served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Ora Brown.

He is survived by his wife Wanell of the home in Minco; two sons and daughters-in-law: James and Louise Brown of Oklahoma City, Larry and Lisa Brown of Minco; two daughters and sons-in-law: Debbie and Steve Ward of Yukon, Lisa and Randy Kirkegard of Minco; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Juanita and Tony Goff of Oklahoma City, Valdean and Leo Clay of Oklahoma City; one brother and sister-in-law: Cecil and Charlene Brown also of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren.

SUE CONDREN

Funeral services for Sue Condren 80, of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held at the Sowers Memorial Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 8, at 11 a.m.

Sue Condren was born on October 1, 1924, in Roff, Oklahoma to William and Ruby (Wilder) Johnson. Sue passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2005 in Oklahoma City, OK after a brief illness.

Sue had lived around Tuttle, OK, for the past 50 years after moving from Oklahoma City. She was retired from being the Administrator of the Tuttle Housing Authority, where she had served for 27 years.

Sue was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tuttle.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leon Rexford Condren, and a son, Douglas Leon Condren.

She is survived by: a son: James Ray Condren of Tuttle, OK; a daughter: Brenda Condren Wilkins and her husband, David, of Norman, OK; two brothers: Jim Johnson of Houston, TX and Melvin Johnson of Roff, OK; three sisters: Rudean Clifton of Roff, OK, Lovella Williams of Roff, OK, Jo Harris of Pell City, AL; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Sue loved her family dearly, and always busied herself by making sure their needs were met. She will always be remembered for her desire to take care of others, whether they were family members, friends, those living at the Tuttle Housing Authority, or those who were homebound or in a nursing home. After a lifetime of showing kindness and love by looking after others, she is finally resting and being eternally looked after herself, by her Savior Jesus Christ, in Heaven. Sue will be deeply missed by her family and loved ones.

Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery of Tuttle, beside her husband, Leon, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle.

BILLY J. “BILL” ELLIOTT

Billy Joe “Bill” Elliott, 77, passed away at Deaconess Hospital in OKC, OK on June 4, 2005. Born in Tuttle, OK May 2, 1928 to Chester Carl and Margaret Ellen (Bays) Elliott of Tuttle, OK.

Bill was raised in Tuttle and graduated from Tuttle High School in 1946. He was a state meat inspector and retired from the Oklahoma Agriculture Department. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tell jokes and stories. He enjoyed family, fishing at the lake, cookouts, vacations to Colorado and other areas were highlights of his life.

An outgoing personality, he never traveled far without seeing someone he knew and enjoyed talking their leg off and making them smile. He loved animals and enjoyed telling all about them.

He married Evelyn Watson - Parker on February 14, 1970, and moved to El Reno in the same year. They established Yukon Flowers and Gifts in 1979, later opening Heritage Flowers and Gifts in El Reno. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church of El Reno where he sang in the men’s quartet.

He is preceded in death by his parents Chester Carl Elliott and Margaret Ellen Elliott; infant daughter Mary Lynn Elliott, and grandchildren, Bethany Rachelle Elliott and Matthew William Elliott.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Evelyn and son Joshua of the home; His son Danny P. and wife Brenda Elliott of Bethany, OK; daughter Joyce C. and husband Richard Thornton of Edmond, OK; daughter Tajuana F. and husband George Wisner, El Reno; son Charles M. and wife Sherri Elliott, El Reno; son Marc A. and wife Kay Parker, El Reno; son John Patrick and wife Shawna Elliott, El Reno. Papa Bill’s grandchildren are Army S.SGT Erick Elliott, OKC, OK; Stephen Cox, OKC, OK; Chris and wife Jennifer Elliott, of Moore, OK; Air Force S.SGT David and wife Aimee Cox, Bellevue Nebraska; Rodney Parker, Harrison Arkansas; Andrea and husband Rich Littlecreek, Moore, OK; Erin and husband Cory Tinsley, El Reno; Matt and wife Ashley Wisner, El Reno; Jason Elliott and Tonya Mullins, El Reno; Army SPC. Michael Duff, El Reno; Christina Elliott, Norman, OK; Jeanette and husband Steven Brown, OKC, OK; Jesse Subtle, El Reno; Justin Elliott, Bethany, OK; and Dalton Wisner, El Reno; along with 13 great-grandchildren, sister Hazel Troop of Tuttle; aunt, Helen Tennery - Kellison of El Reno, and special, loving friends, Raymond and Ruby Nickels, Moore, OK; along with numerous family, friends and neighbors. Funeral services were held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at Trinity Baptist Church, El Reno, OK, with cousin, Rev. Wayne Childers of Tuttle, OK officiating. Services were under the direction of Wilson’s Funeral Home in El Reno.

Bill fought a courageous battle with cancer and kept his sense of humor. He loved and enjoyed his family and will be deeply missed by all. We will never forget his contagious smile and the way we laughed together.

Corinthians 5:7-8...we walk by faith, not by sight.

BETTY LOU FORBES

Betty Lou Forbes, 69, of Tuttle passed away Sunday, June 5, 2005 at South West Medical Center in OKC. She was born on October 3, 1935 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was the youngest child of 5 children born to G. A. Tankersley and Goldie S. Hale. At the age of 7, her family moved to Midwest City, Ok. There she grew up, attended school and later graduated in 1954, from North East High School.

She married Jerry C. Forbes in 1955 and together they had 2 children. Betty worked nearly 20 years at General Motors before retiring in the 1990’s. But before going to work for GM, some of her earlier jobs included being a Newspaper Typist, working for the Maremont Corp. and working as a Hwy flag person. Betty loved being outdoors; she enjoyed watching sports, playing and coaching softball, but mostly she enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports. Betty also enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping and collecting collectables for the home.

She will be remembered for her unique personality and the love she had for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, G.A. and Goldie Tankersley; one brother, George Tankersley; and two sisters, Eva Mae McClure and Norma Jean Lovegrove.

Survivors include one daughter, Sue Ellis of Tuttle; one son, Ronnie Forbes and wife Janis of Bridge Creek; seven grandchildren, William Earley and wife Bonnie, Kee Earley and wife Heather, Tyson Earley, Whitney Forbes, Jamie Bigham, Dalis and Jessica Forbes; three great grandchildren, Destiny, Joshua and Benjamin; a soon to be born grandchild; one sister, Reba Legel and husband Philip of Metamora, Ill.; one brother, Billy Jean Pitts and wife Cletha of Broken Arrow, Okla.; one uncle, Burt Robinett of Vanburen, Ark.; and a life long friend, Lynn Cameron of Tuttle.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2005 at Snow Hill Baptist Church east of Tuttle. Officiating will be Rev. Emery Dye. Eulogist, Manford Tucker. Pallbearers will be; William, Kee and Tyson Earley, Dalis Forbes, Jamie Bigham and Gary Redburn. Honorary bearers will be; Teddy, Eddy, Billy, Roy and Boyd Killman, James Hibdon and Kenny Idle. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle. Arrangements are with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle.

MICHAEL LITTLETON BALL

Michael Littleton Ball was born April 25, 1952 in Oakland, California to L.M. and Florence Marie (Fromme) Ball. He graduated from Mattoon High School in Mattoon, Illinois. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1971 and proudly served for 20 years and 8 months. During his service he served as a Radio Communication Technician and traveled around the world sometimes on short notice establishing communication systems for the Air Force. He served during Vietnam, Desert Storm and the Gulf War Era. He married Debra Diane Allen on March 26, 1977 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at Portland Avenue Baptist Church. After retirement from the Air Force, they moved to Bridge Creek and started a successful Vending Business, which he still owned and operated with his wife and son.

He became a volunteer fireman for the Bridge Creek Volunteer Fire Protection district in November of 1994 and was known as B.C. 55. He is a Master Mason, and a member of the Blanchard Lodge. He was a amateur radio operator with the call sign of N5GCM-”Gum & Candy Man”.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie of the home and two sons, David Michael Ball and Amy of Bridge Creek and Marcus Devin Ball of the home; his father, L.M. Ball of Moore, one brother, Andy Ball and his wife Kathy of Moore; one sister, Carol Leetch and husband Ken of Cleveland, Ohio; two nieces, Karie Leetch and Kellie Leetch; two nephews, Kenny Leetch and Raymond Ball; one granddaughter, Michaela; and his loving companion and favorite red head, Scarlett.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one sister in infancy.

He died on June 14, 2005 as the result of an automobile accident.

Services were held at 10:00 a.m., June 20, 2005 at Portland Avenue Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Interment at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City. Arrangements made by Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard.

DIMPLE ELIZABETH CARRELL

Funeral services for Dimple Elizabeth Carrell, 87 of Minco were held Tuesday, June 21, 2005, 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Minco with Rev. Sam Scott of the First Baptist Church of Minco and Rev. Larry Harris of the First Assembly of God Church in Tuttle officiating.

Dimple Elizabeth Carrell was born September 25, 1917, three miles West of Minco to Harry and Iona (Britton) Howery and died Sunday, June 19, 2005 at her home in Minco. She lived in the Pocasset, Minco and Tuttle communities all of her life. She married Lloyd O. Carrell on April 26, 1947 at Henrietta, Texas. She worked as Rosie the Riveter at Douglas Aircraft during WWII and served as the Minco City Clerk from 1961-1971. She enjoyed baking, cooking, playing cards, reading, gardening and sewing and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Minco.

Dimple was preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Iona Howery; husband: Lloyd O. Carrell on August 27, 2002; two sisters: Delores Davis and Monafae South; one brother: Charles Howery; two daughters: Shirley Park and Barbara Whitlock; one son-in-law: Jack Whitlock; one grandson: Chuck Drummond; one sister-in-law: Leta Faye Carrell; two brothers-in-law: Joe Davis and Doyle Morris.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Candy and Don Graham of Piedmont; one son-in-law: Tommy Park of Tuttle; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Clarence and Charlene Barr of Minco; two brothers-in-law: Glen Carrell and Leonard South both of Minco; two sisters-in-law: Nell Howery of Tuttle and Bobbie Morris of Albuquerque, New Mexico; eight grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren.

Burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco.

RONNIE CLOYES PERKINS

Funeral services for Ronnie Perkins were conducted Monday, June 20, 2005 at 2:30 pm from the Martin Funeral Home Chapel of Sayre, Oklahoma with Reverend Moses Mast officiating. Interment followed in the Buffalo Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Sayre, Oklahoma.

Ronald “Ronnie” Cloyes Perkins was born September 9, 1953 in Sayre Oklahoma to Stan Perkins and Stella Mae Titsworth and passed away Thursday, June 16, 2005 in Oklahoma City at the age of 51. Ronnie grew up in the Sayre Oklahoma area graduating from Sayre High School in 1971. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and earned a double major in Geology and Geography from Oklahoma University. He married his wife Judy in Monte Vista Colorado on September 1, 1988. They lived in Clinton Oklahoma and Oklahoma City before moving to Tuttle Oklahoma where they have been for the last 8 years. Ronnie was directional driller for Sperry Sun Drilling Service. Ronnie had a great love of fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his wife Judy of the Tuttle home; a son Ben Perkins of Oklahoma City; a daughter Jacqueline Perkins of Tuttle; his father Stan Perkins of Sayre; two brothers: Jack Perkins and his wife Vanda of Hooker, OK; and Gary Perkins of Clinton, OK. Ronnie is also survived by a host of family and friends.

JIMMY L. RUMBAUGH

Funeral services for Jimmy L. Rumbaugh, 61, of Tuttle, Oklahoma will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 23, 2005 at the Tuttle First Baptist Church.

Jimmy L. Rumbaugh was born May 24, 1944 the son of Lloyd and Edna (Morrow) Rumbaugh and died June 20, 2005 in Norman, Oklahoma.

He and Janet Vowell were married May 27, 1966 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and they moved to Tuttle in 1972. Jimmy worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier, retiring in 2002.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents: Lloyd and Edna Rumbaugh; one brother and two sisters.

Survivors include wife: Janet Rumbaugh of the home; one son and his wife: Robert and Jill Rumbaugh of Oklahoma City; one daughter: Sharyl McHugh and fiance Larry Boxley of Chickasha; five grandchildren: Clayton, Duncan, Sydney, Hannah, Hayden; sister-in-law: Loretta and Ed Chavis of Burkburnett, Texas; father-in-law: Don Sorrels of Tuttle and other family members.

Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle.

CHRISTIAN ALLEN SCOTT

Christian Allen Scott, infant son of Leonard and Mary Scott, was born at Cushing Memorial Hospital, Leavenworth, Kansas at 11:02 a.m. on June 1, 2005. He was 2 lbs. 1oz. and 14-1/2 inches long.

His brief life was a miracle and a testimony of God’s love as his parents were able to hold him, hear him cry, see his feet kick, and watch his baptism. He went to be with Jesus at 2:30 p.m. that afternoon, and in those three hours his family lived a lifetime.

He is greatly missed by his parents, brothers - Lenny and Will, sister - Ariel, grandparents: Bill and Rosemary Kerber, Mrs. Jammye Clark Scott, Col. (Ret.) Leonard Scott, and great-grandparents: Mr. Stephan Horvath, Col. (Ret.) Robert E. Clark and Eileen Niles Scott.

A memorial service was held on June 7, 2005 at River City Vineyard Christian Fellowship, Leavenworth, Kansas and a service was held at the St. Josephs Catholic Church in Union, City, Oklahoma on Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 6:30 pm. Father Phillip Donahoe of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in El Reno officiated. Burial was at the St. Josephs Cemetery, Union City under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.

THELMA V. MORRIS

Graveside services for Thelma V. Morris, 86, former Minco resident, were held Wednesday, June 29, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco. Jim Ross of the Minco Church of Christ officiated and the services were under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.

Thelma V. Morris was born September 29, 1918 at St. Louis, Oklahoma to Dell D. and Vivian (Flatt) Banta and she died Monday, June 27, 2005 at Snyder, Oklahoma. She lived in the Minco community since 1948 when she and her husband bought a blacksmith and welding shop. She graduated from OSU with teaching credentials and taught science at East Walnut School. She married Charlie C. Morris January 27, 1940 in Cleveland County. Thelma taught homemaking and also worked at Branums Variety Store in Minco for many years. She was a member of the Minco Church of Christ and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary in Minco. She cooked for the Kiwanis Club lunches for many years.

Thelma was preceded in death by parents: D.D. and Vivian Banta; husband: Charlie C. Morris 4-24-98; three brothers: Doyle, Gerald, and Loyle Banta.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Linda Gail and Larry Morefield of Medicine Park, Oklahoma; one sister and brother-in-law: Linda and Phil Weimer of Corvallis, Oregon; three grandchildren: Jay and wife Tami Morefield of Medicine Park, Natalie and Ray Bailey of Lawton, Heather and Nathan Callaway of Lawton; five great grandchildren: Stephanie Morefield, Selena Bailey, Ray Bailey Jr., Brandon and Jackie Callaway.

JIMMIE "JIM" ALLAN COX

Jimmie Allan Cox, age 63, of Tuttle, Oklahoma died Thursday June 30, 2005 at his home after a lengthy battle with Cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends.

He was born November 18, 1941 in Tuttle, Oklahoma to James Lorn and Martha May Cox. Jim graduated from Tuttle High School in 1961.

He is survived by his wife Wanda Cox; daughter Tammy Cox of Oklahoma City, OK and son Shawn Cox and wife Stacy and two grandsons Shawn and Ryan of Grand Junction, CO; sisters: Ruby Strnad, Carlene Callahan, Ola Merrell; brothers: Wayne, Paul, Dete, and Finis Cox; Uncle Hanford Cox and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: James, Billy, Ruff and Mark Cox.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Good Shepherd Hospice including Dee Fairchild RN, Pat Konx and Heather Lee, Nurse Aide, Genevia Fulton “The Pie Lady” Volunteer.

Services were held at the Tuttle Assembly of God Church with pastor Larry Harris officiating and interment at Fairview Cemetery.
