POTEAU — Mary E. Pulis, 89, of Poteau died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, in Poteau. She was born June 15, 1915 in Red Star. She was a seamstress.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Freewill Cemetery in Red Star. Arrangements under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by four sons, Bobby Pulis of Alma, Bill Pulis of Fayetteville, Ga., Roy Pulis of Athens, Texas, and Harold Pulis of Springfield, Kan.; four sisters, Ada Stanphill of Alpena, Ida Maggard of Wutterm, Josephine Dolin of Fallsville and Ethel Williams of Huntsville; a brother, Dean Neff of Harrison; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Pat Shaw
SPIRO — Pat A. Shaw, 58, of Spiro died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, in Spiro. He was the widower of Virginia Shaw.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Spiro First Baptist Church with burial at Lake Wood Memorial in California under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda; a daughter, Patricia Shaw of Modesto, Calif.; three sons, Phillip, Clifford and Clinton Shaw, all of Modesto, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Robin Rodgers of Spiro; two brothers, Bobby Shaw of Holyoke, Mass., and Daniel Shaw of Ceres, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie and Brandon Parent, Mark Cox, Eric Stoll and Jackie James.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Spiro First Baptist Church Primetimers, 200 W. Broadway / P.O. Box 284, Spiro, OK 74959.

Mary E. Pulis
Mary E. Pulis, 89, of Poteau died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, in Oaks Health Care Center in Poteau. She was born June 15, 1915, in Red Star. She was a seamstress. Mrs. Pulis was a resident of Poteau for the last 24 years. Her husband, Harold H. Pulis Sr., preceded her in death on June 18, 2000.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Freewill Cemetery in Red Star with the Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by four sons, Bobby Pulis of Alma, Bill Pulis of Fayetteville, Ga., Roy Pulis of Athens, Texas, and Harold Pulis of Springhill, Kan.; four sisters, Ada Stanphill of Alpena, Ida Maggard of Witter, Josephine Bolin of Fallsville and Ethel Williams of Huntsville; a brother, Dean Neff of Harrison; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and a host of friends.

Willis Reasnor Sr.
KINTA, Okla. — Willis Reasnor Sr., 71, of Kinta, Okla., died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004 in Stigler, Okla. He was a cattle rancher.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church in Kinta with burial at Sans Bois Cemetery in Kinta under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, Willis Reasnor Jr. of Kinta and Thomas Reasnor of Quinton, Okla.; two sisters, Patricia Wagnon of Quinton and Ramona Gormely of Geary, Okla.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The body may be viewed at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Quinton.

Bailey Branscum
FANSHAWE — Bailey E. “Pat” Branscum, 68, of Fanshawe died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was born Nov. 17, 1935, in Fanshawe. He was a rancher, a member of Fanshawe Freewill Baptist Church, and the widower of Carolyn Branscum.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Evans & Miller Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Poteau with burial at Hicks Chapel Cemetery in Fanshawe.
He is survived by a daughter, Tara Akins of Wister; three sons, Stuart, Bruce and Robert Branscum, all of Fanshawe; his mother, Pearl Branscum of Fanshawe; a sister, Wanda Claiborn of Wister; a brother, Nolen Branscum of Arkoma; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Stanley McAlester, Bill Bullard, Steve Walden, Bud Morgan, Randy Conley and Heath Branscum.

Mabel Newby
FANSHAWE — Mabel Newby, 90, of Fanshawe died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004. She was born Sept. 24, 1914, in Magazine. She was a homemaker, a member of the Worldwide Church of God, and the widow of Dewey Newby.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at Leflore Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by three sons, Don Newby of Spiro, Johnny Newby of Van Buren, and Robert Newby of Lequire, Okla.; four sisters, Marie Wann and Wandy Newby, both Fort Smith, Elenise Glenn of Smithville, Okla., and Claudean Goss of Monroe; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Mary Lacey
YUKON, Okla. — Mary Mahaley Mabry Lacey, 82, of Yukon, Okla., died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004. She was born Oct. 11, 1921, in Fanshawe. She was a health care nurse, a member of Assembly of God, and the widow of James Lacey.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Assembly of God in Red Oak with burial at Fanshawe Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Ramsey and Margaret McGuire; a sister, Katherine Porter; two brothers, Joe and James Mabry; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

George Black
POTEAU — George Ray Black, 80, of Poteau died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, in his home. He was born Aug. 28, 1924, in Poteau. He was in construction and was a World War II veteran.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by five daughters, Dian Langston and Radean Green, both of Bakersfield, Calif., Mary Hinson of Poteau, Sherry Medley of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Linda Manning of Louisiana; five sons, Bob Hinson of Mena, James Black of Panama, Roger and Gene Black, both of Bakersfield, Calif., and Joe Skinner of Poteau; two sisters, Dorothy Miller of Lompoc, Calif. and Earlene Phillips of Taft, Calif.; a brother, Bill Black of Poteau; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Bob Thompson
POTEAU — Bob G. Thompson, 78, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was born March 10, 1926, in Monroe. He was a self-employed businessman and a Navy veteran of World War II.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church in Poteau with burial at Monroe Cemetery in Monroe under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by his wife, Dewanda; a daughter, Debbie Eacret of Fort Smith; a son, Robert Thompson of Tulsa; a sister, Nerrissia Skinner; a brother, Kenneth Thompson of Monroe; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bobby and Roger Mead, Monte and Jeff Shockley and Eddie and Larry Bayouth.

Inez Boggs
POTEAU — Inez Boggs, 91, of Poteau died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, in Poteau. She was born Jan. 24, 1913, in Williams, Okla. She grew up in LeFlore County and moved with her family to southern California just before World War II began. She worked in defense plants and restaurants while raising her family. She taught child evangelism and college Bible classes and was ordained through Global Outreach Inc. in Spring Valley, Calif. She and her husband sponsored the building of a church in Korea through Gorden Lindsey of Christ for Nations in Dallas. They moved back to Oklahoma in their retirement years. She was president of the Poteau Chapter of Women’s Aglow from 1984 to 1986. She attended Hosanna Christian Fellowship Church until her health hindered her attendance.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Evans & Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Poteau with burial at Leflore Cemetery in Leflore.
She is survived by three daughters, Catherine Monroe of Leflore, Patsy Cotarclo of Surprise, Ariz., and June Neeley of Poteau; two sons, Roy Boggs of Leflore and Kenneth Boggs of Waco, Texas; two sisters, Ethel Gist and Pat Holt, both of Heavener; a brother, Welton Hines of Cornell, Wis.; 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Ruby Wardlow
SALLISAW — Ruby Wardlow, 82, of Sallisaw died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004, in Sallisaw. She was born Feb. 28, 1922, in Ada, Okla. She was a custodian and a Protestant.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by a daughter, Patti Campbell of Orangeville, Calif.; two sons, Jerry Wardlow of Sallisaw and Billy Wardlow of Rescue, Calif.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Tom Lamb
ROLAND — Tom Lamb, 66, of Roland died Wednesday, July 14, 2004, in Roland. He was born Dec. 25, 1937, in Washington. He was a retired Air Force master sergeant, a former street maintenance supervisor for the city of Fort Smith, a graduate of Anderson (Ind.) High School and a Vietnam veteran, serving three tours in Southeast Asia. He received three Air Medals and the Air Force Commendation Medal. He attended First United Methodist Church in Muldrow.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Muldrow with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Full military honors will be provided by the Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Rose; a daughter, Cheryl Branson of Roland; a brother, Fred Lamb of Anderson; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be the Air Force Honors Team.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will visit with friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Raymond Soap
MULDROW — Raymond Soap, 75, of Muldrow died Saturday, July 17, 2004, in Fort Smith.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Belfonte Baptist Church with burial at Belfonte Cemetery in Belfonte under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by his wife, Clara; five daughters, Norene Gramlich and Abigail Smith, both of Fort Smith, Willie Chism of Virginia, Deborah Rogers of the home and Cordia Koonce of Muldrow; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Townsend, Raymond Koonce, Mose Nofire, Scott Coleman and George and Alpheus Byrd.
The body may be viewed at Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
The family will visit with friends at 6 p.m. Monday at Belfonte Baptist Church.

Patsy Smith
SPIRO — Patsy Smith, 64, of Spiro died Friday, July 16, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was the widow of James Smith.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Martin-Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro with burial at Spiro City Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly and Karen Smith, both of Spiro; two sons, Kevin Smith of Spiro and Karl Smith of Tulsa; two brothers, the Rev. Charles Hanna of Bristow, Okla., and Donald Hanna of Shreveport, La.; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kevin, Karl, T.J. and Kyle Smith, Ronnie Hanna and Brookin Stephens.
The body may be viewed from noon to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The family will visit with friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
