ROLAND — Kevin James Wright, 38, of Roland died Wednesday, July 14, 2004, in Pocola. He worked for Pilot Travel Center in Roland and was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Fort Smith.
Memorial service will be 4 p.m. today at Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith. The body will be cremated.
He is survived by his wife, Nanette; two daughters, Amy Miller of Muldrow and Mary Dennis of Fort Smith; a son, Clifford Wright of Roland; his parents, Robert and Mary Glover of Hesperia, Calif.; a brother, Gary Nolen of Fort Smith; and one grandchild.

Jim Bailey
SPIRO — Jim “JJ” Bailey, 76, of Spiro died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, in Guthrie. He was a retired Navy veteran of 23 years, served in the Korean and Vietnam wars, and was the widower of Verla Bailey.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Old Cache Cemetery in Keota under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro.
He is survived by four daughters, Sylvia Melson and Jammie Barker, both of McAllen, Texas, Peggy Starkey of Tyler, Texas, and Jackey Honeycott of Guthrie, Okla.; a brother, Roy Earls of Leavenworth, Kan.; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Memorial Program, Heartland Division, 4323 N.W. 63rd St., Suite 110, Oklahoma City, OK 73116.

Alonzo Releford
MULDROW — Alonzo Releford, 88, of Muldrow died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, in Muldrow. He was born May 7, 1916, in Rough Rock. He was a farmer and a factory worker at Ward Furniture Factory, a Baptist, and attended Saint Luke Elementary School in Rough Rock.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Muldrow with burial at Centerpoint Cemetery in the Redland community.
He is survived by his wife, Lee; three sisters, Corine Perry of Fort Smith, Shirley and Carol Releford, both of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two brothers, Arthur Releford and James Releford III, both of Alma.
Pallbearers will be Donnie and Fred Youngblood, Jack Mosley, Willis Johnson, Bill Phillips and Homer Frazier.
The body may be viewed 5 to 8 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Alva Harp
MULDROW — Alva Lee Harp, 80, of Muldrow died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was born March 15, 1924, in Booneville. He was a retired pipe liner, a Baptist, a member of Operators Engineers Union Local No. 621 in Tulsa, Muldrow VFW Post No. 8384, and Blue Lodge of Hartford, a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge, a Navy veteran of World War II, and the widower of Floy Harp.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Blackjack Cemetery north of Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow.
He is survived by a son, Harold Peters of Muldrow; a sister, Norma Cauthron of Augusta, Kan.; two grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ida Wiggins
ROLAND — Ida Wiggins, 92, of Roland died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker, a Baptist, and the widow of Odell Wiggins.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris with burial at Baxley Cemetery in Paris.
She is survived by two daughters, Alice Burge of Muldrow and Kathryne England of Wagner, Okla.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Allen Clute Jr.
GORE — Allen B. “Sonny” Clute Jr., 69, of Gore died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2004, in Sallisaw. He was born Sept. 7, 1934, in Sand Springs, Okla. He was a self-employed electrician, a Protestant, and the widower of Mary Clute.
Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Gore. Cremains will be scattered.
He is survived by a son, Richard Clute of Galveston, Texas; a sister, Delores Lamb of Tulsa; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.

Linda Hodapp
ARKOMA — Linda Sue Hodapp, 55, of Arkoma died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro.
She is survived by two daughters, Vicky Lemley and Melinda Frias, both of Fort Smith; her father, Leon Goines of Arkoma; a sister, Connie Ritter of Arkoma; a brother, Edward Goines of Fort Smith; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eric Stout, Darrell Doss, Gary Hodapp, Steven Lindsey, Carlos Rangel and Dustin Goines.

Alonzo Releford
Alonzo Releford, 88, of Muldrow died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, in Muldrow. He was born May 7, 1916, in Rough Rock. He was a farmer and a factory worker at Ward Furniture Factory for several years, a Baptist, he attended Saint Luke Elementary School and was baptized at an early age at Saint Luke Baptist Church in Rough Rock, Arkansas. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He was a faithful husband and enjoyed helping people. He helped build the Church of God and Christ in Muldrow.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, at Agent Chapel in Muldrow with burial at Centerpoint Cemetery in the Redland community under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow.
He is survived by his wife, Lee Ann Releford of the home; three sisters, Corine Perry of Fort Smith, Shirley Joan Releford of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Carol Marie Releford of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two brothers, James Roy Releford III of Alma and Arthur Lee Releford of Alma; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Alonzo Releford Jr.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Youngblood, Fred Youngblood, Jack Mosley, Willis Johnson, Bill Phillips and Homer Ray Frazier.
Flower bearers will be Jesse Youngblood, Mary Castleberry, Virginia Pankey, Glenda Faye Posey, Effie Mae Benton and Minnie Lee Jones.
The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Agent Funeral Home in Muldrow.

Archie Leon Czarnikow
Archie Leon Czarnikow, 74, of Muldrow died Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Muldrow, was a commercial electrician for 28 years at Electric Service Co. in Fort Smith and was later self-employed as an electrician. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Gladys Czarnikow. He enjoyed hunting, traveling and taking care of his cattle on his farm.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Dora Cemetery in Dora, Okla.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Lee; one daughter, Kathy Ewing and her husband, Butch, of Pryor, Okla.; one son, Glen Czarnikow and his wife, Sharon, of Huntsville; two sisters, Margaret Jean Wilson and Frances Carpenter, both of Muldrow; two brothers, Roy Czarnikow of Cleveland, Tenn., and Bob Czarnikow of Van Buren; a special nephew, Richard Czarnikow; five grandchildren, Jay and Allen Czarnikow, Robert J.W. Czarnikow and Kelly and Lisa Ewing; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Justin Hendricks, Richard Czarnikow, Stanley Resch, Steve Bradley, Perry Smith and Bill Floyd.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Montoya and Joe Mayner.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Peachtree Hospice, 4300 Rogers Ave., Fort Smith, AR 72901.

Randall Brasier
MULDROW — Randall Lee Brasier, 33, of Muldrow died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was born Dec. 29, 1970, in Oklahoma City. He was a construction worker and a Baptist.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Muldrow with burial at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Muldrow.
He is survived by his parents, Clyde and Susan Brasier of the home; and a sister, Regina Powell of Muldrow.
Pallbearers will be Kevin House, J.J. Morain, Raymond Ross, Gary VanZandt, Lloyd Hager and Jay Travis.
The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Opal Barbee
WHITEFIELD — Opal E. Barbee, 91, of Whitefield died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004, in Stigler. She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Stigler, worked as postmistress at Whitefield Post Office, and was the widow of Edward Barbee.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Freewill Baptist Church in Stigler with burial at Whitefield Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler.
She is survived by a son, Calvin Barbee of Whitefield; two sisters, Mattie Parker of Oroville, Calif., and Marie Ballard of Stigler; a brother, Alexander Maxwell of Oklahoma City; and a grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Thompson, Kenneth and Gary Spears, Gordon Maxwell, Van Cole, Terry Ballard and Buck Kennedy.

Dovie Nance
MULDROW — Dovie Nance, 91, of Muldrow died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was the widow of Daniel Nance.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Greater New Bethel Baptist Church with burial at Shady Grove Cemetery in Roland under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by a son, Waymon Nance of Muldrow; four sisters, Virginia Drew and Wanda McClain, both of Roland, Tressie West of Fort Smith, and Geraldine Vann of Muldrow; three brothers, Virgil and Willard McClain, both of Flint, Mich., and Red McClaine of Roland; and 14 grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Opaline Nixon
Opaline Nixon, 71, of Oklahoma passed away Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, in Fort Smith under the care of the Peachtree Hospice Unit. She was born Nov. 12, 1932, in Rison. She worked in central supply departments at Ventura County Medical Center in California and at Sparks Regions Medical Center in Fort Smith, where she retired in 1996.
Opal grew up in Arkansas and moved to Tennessee, where she met and married her beloved husband, Ertis Nixon. They were happily married for 47 years. She and Ertis loved to bowl together where they had some wonderful friends.
She is survived by her four children, son Gary Nixon and wife Diana of Van Buren, daughter Diana Lewis and husband Bob of Southern, Calif., daughter Gladys Mayer of Bakersfield, Calif., and Ronnie Jean Nixon of Milford, Conn.; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Opal has four sisters, Rose Holcomb and husband Tommy of Senatobia, Miss., Alice Edwards of Trenton, N.J., Dorothy Delahunt of Senastien, Fla., and Annie Bravan and husband Jimmy of Walls, Miss.; and one brother, Donald Edwards and wife Sharon of Longemont, Colo.
Private services will be held by Edwards Funeral Home and burial will be private at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith.
The family of Opal Nixon wishes to thank Edwards Funeral Home for their kindness and assistance with completion of their mother’s wishes.

Lena Coleman
POCOLA — Lena Dorthy Coleman, 81, of Pocola died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was born March 3, 1923, in Milltown. She was a bookkeeper for Williams Automotive; a member of First Baptist Church in Pocola, where she was nursery director for 25 years, and the Pocola Senior Citizens; and was ombudsman of KiBois for several years.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Pocola with burial at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Pocola.
She is survived by her husband, Ted; a daughter, Patricia Smith-Jones of Pocola; two sons, Ted Coleman Jr. and Eddie Coleman, both of Pocola; two sisters, Lela Smith and Vilene Davis, both of Pocola; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tony Newman, Larry Sockey, Bob Davis, Steve Hendrix, Jerry Gregory, Arvin Kuykendall, Terry Smittle and Tom Humphreville.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
