TULSA — Gail Pennington Spain, 60, of Tulsa died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, in Tulsa. She was an employee of Sears in Tulsa, an Avon representative in Fort Smith and Tulsa, and a member of Abbott Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Pleasant Grove No. 2 Church with burial at Pleasant Grove No. 2 Cemetery near Abbott under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Mansfield.
She is survived by her husband, Carlin; three sons, Rick, Craig and Scott, all of Tulsa; two brothers, Elton Pennington of Abbott and Blake Pennington of Bella Vista; and a grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Scott and Craig Spain, Dwain Harris, Donald Williams, Carroll Turner and Don Spradling.

Genora Birdtail
BUNCH, Okla. — Genora Lee Birdtail, 51, of Bunch died Saturday, June 7, 2003, in Fort Smith. She was born Aug. 24, 1951, in Tahlequah, Okla. She was a nurse’s aide and a Baptist.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Flute Springs Cemetery in Marble City under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by her husband, Leon; a daughter, Angela Birdtail of the home; three sons, Ricky and Leon Birdtail Jr., both of the home, and Micky Birdtail of Bunch, Okla.; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Henry, Marvin and Ray Birdtail, Clifford McElhaney, Richard Elbon and Roger Flute.
The body may be viewed 2 to 9 p.m. today at her home.

Greg Holt
MULDROW — Greg Holt, 39, of Muldrow died Sunday, June 8, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was a former Sequoyah County deputy, a landscaper for Landa Scaping, a graduate of Roland High School and of the Free Will Baptist faith.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church in Roland with burial at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery south of Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow.
He is survived by two sons, Gared and Hunter Holt, both of Fayetteville; his mother and stepfather, Callie and Alton Barnes of Muldrow; his father and stepmother, Buddy and Pam Holt of Muldrow; a sister, Sherry Gard of Gans; and a brother, Stephen Holt of Montgomery, Ala.
Pallbearers will be John Landa, Wendel Cantrell, Jeff Moore, Johnny Philpot, Donnie Edwards and Vernon Barnes.
The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

Elizabeth Webster
WARNER, Okla. — Elizabeth Lea Webster, 15 months, of Warner, Okla., died Saturday, June 7, 2003, in Warner. She was born Feb. 21, 2002, in Muskogee, Okla.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Warner, Okla., under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Gore.
She is survived by her parents, Chris and Sherry of Warner, Okla.; paternal grandparents, Harold and Brenda Murphy of Warner, Okla.; maternal grandmother, Tammy Bighorse of Bartlesville, Okla.; maternal grandfather, Truman Webster of Warner, Okla.; paternal great-grandmother, Patty Murphy of Muskogee, Okla.; maternal great-grandmother, Ella Webster of Notchietown, Okla.; and maternal great-grandfather, Bobby Ward of the Bahamas.
The body may be viewed 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

James Mooring
MULDROW — James Mooring, 59, of Muldrow died Sunday, June 8, 2003, in Fort Smith. He was employed with H.L. Johnson Construction for 15 years.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Cottonwood Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; a daughter, Julie Farnam of Muldrow; a son, Monty Mooring of Sallisaw; his mother, Aline Mooring of Shafter, Calif.; two sisters, Colleen Lashley and Peggy George, both of Bakersfield, Calif.; a brother, Jay Mooring of Bakersfield, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Randall Swaim, Rodney Dilbeck, Marvin Shackelford, Karl Williams and Chuck Roberds.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

J.R. Sorrels
PORUM, Okla. — J.R. Sorrels, 75, of Porum, Okla., died Monday June 9, 2003, in Porum.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Assembly of God in Porum with burial at Coleman Cemetery in Porum under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by his wife, Eva; three daughters, Barbara Green, Judy Pevehouse and Shelia Shrabel, all of Porum; a brother, James Sorrels of Muskogee, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bradley and B.J. Holt, Travis Shrabel, Harold Burnett, Sam Ivey and J.C. Corbell.

Loretta Heckerman
MULDROW — Loretta Heckerman, 58, of Muldrow died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was born Oct. 23, 1945, in Stilwell, Okla. She was a homemaker and a Freewill Baptist.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cottonwood Freewill Baptist Church south of Muldrow with burial at Seabolt Cemetery north of Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow.
She is survived by her companion, Brad Dyer; four sons, Jimmy Jackson of Norfolk, Va., Chris and Shawn Jackson, both of Muldrow, and Neal Dyer of the home; three sisters, Margie Lovell and Linda Carter, both of Muldrow, and Shirl Allen of Fort Smith; five brothers, Herman and Doyle Watkins, both of Muldrow, Oscar Watkins of Fort Smith, Abner Watkins of Stillwater, Okla., and Larry Watkins of Ozark; and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jared and Mike Allen, Michael Carter, Russell Watkins, Joe Dyer, Rick and William Lovell.
The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Brenda Dean Cook
Brenda Dean Cook, 59, of Muldrow passed away Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was retired from Southwest Die Casting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Cook, and two sons, Grady Lee Cook and Darrel Cook.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Leard Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Loretha Hall of Mansfield; a son, David Cook of Muldrow; her mother, Emma King of Muldrow; two sisters, Patsy Cook and Lisa Barentine, both of Muldrow; three brothers, Richard King of Fort Smith, Roy King of Arkoma and Sheldon King of Van Buren; and two grandchildren, Tyler Cook of Muldrow and Lucas Hall of Mansfield.
Pallbearers will be Paul, J.R., Cletus and Michael Cook, Don Andrews and Kenny Barentine.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

James Coward
BLACKWELL, Okla. — James Oliver “Jim” Coward, 73, of Blackwell died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, in Enid, Okla.
He was the widower of Patricia Coward.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Spiro City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan Stucky of Braman, Okla., and Kristi Jones of Fort Smith; three sisters, Roberta Gentry of Spiro, Jeanne Mills of Kennewick, Wash., and Shirley Bowder of Ardmore, Okla.; two brothers, Robert Coward of Sallisaw and Charles Coward of Lubbock, Texas; and two grandchildren.
The body may be viewed from noon to 6 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Carl Davis
MULDROW — Carl M. Davis, 80, of Muldrow died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, in Muldrow. He was born Oct. 9, 1924, in Mulberry. He was a heavy equipment operator for Arkla Gas Co. and Ashland Oil Co., and an Army veteran of World War II.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Muldrow with burial at Seabolt Cemetery north of Muldrow.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; two daughters, Barbara York of Elk City, Okla., and Vicki Maines of Roland; three sisters, Lucille Brown of Generette, La., Mildred Knapp of Muldrow, and Irma Morrison of Joplin, Mo.; a brother, Glen Davis of Sherman, Texas; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Brenda Cook

Roscoe Yates Sr.
ROLAND — Roscoe Yates Sr., 84, of Roland died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, in Roland. He was born July 11, 1920, in Onyx. He was owner and operator of Yates DX Service Station in Fort Smith and of the Assembly of God faith.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Muldrow with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Arkoma.
He is survived by a daughter, Emma Gilkey of Timoneum, Md.; two sons, J.W. Yates of Fort Smith and Roscoe Yates Jr. of Arkoma; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Charles Breedlove
ROLAND — Charles “Tommy” Breedlove, 56, of Roland died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, in a local hospital. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roland City Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Sheryl; two daughters, Lisa Breedlove of Tulsa and Paula Goines of Oolagah, Okla.; two sons, Chris Arthur of Tulsa and Adam Arthur of the home; two sisters, JoAnn Barton of Barling and Charlene Mason of Fort Smith; three brothers, Michael and Kenny Breedlove, both of Fort Smith, and Tim Breedlove of Moffett; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Michael, Kenny and Tim Breedlove, Chris and Adam Arthur and Richard Goines.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
