Bea Jackson
ROLAND — Beatrice “Bea” Newton Robinson Jackson, 92, of Roland died Friday, Sept. 3, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was born March 18, 1912, in Mena. She was a Baptist and a homemaker.
She was a former resident of Quinton, Okla., Enterprise, Okla., Pampa, Texas, and Kellerville, Texas, and a resident of the Roland area since 1972. She attended Muskogee High School. She was the widow of Ezra Hendrix Newton, C.H. Robinson and W.R. Jackson.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Muldrow with burial at Quinton City Cemetery.
She is survived by a son, Jim Newton of Muldrow; a brother, Harvey Ridling of Oregon; three stepchildren, three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Muldrow.

Sallie M. Armstrong
Sallie M. Armstrong, age 96, passed from this life Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, in Roland. She was born Dec. 15, 1907, in Paris to Modess and Jerry Mi Guthrie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Armstrong; one sister, Bess Wright; and one brother, Garland Guthrie. She was of the Baptist faith and a retired seamstress, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Forest Park Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
She is survived by her daughter, Lois Jones and husband Waylon of Roland; one son, Eugene Armstrong of Moffett; on sister, Lorene Bailey of Mancos, Colo. Three grandchildren, Stephanie Wiliams and husband Scott, Kevin Jones, and Keith Jones and wife Tracie, all of Roland; and also one great-grandson, Reid Williams.
Family visitation will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Fentress Mortuary.

Charles “Tommy” Breedlove
Charles “Tommy” Breedlove, 56, of Roland died Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004, in a local hospital. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Betty Breedlove; and by his nieces, Amanda Gann and Jordan Breedlove.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Putman Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Roland City Cemetery under the direction of Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Sheryl of the home; two daughters, Lisa Breedlove of Tulsa and Paula and son-in-law Richard Goines of Oolagah, Okla.; two sons, Chris Arthur of Tulsa and Adam Arthur of the home; two sisters and their husbands, JoAnn and Danny Barton of Barling and Charlene and Craig Mason of Fort Smith; three brothers, Michael Breedlove of Fort Smith, Kenny and wife, Terri Breedlove, both of Fort Smith, and Tim Breedlove of Moffett; one grandchild, Dalton Breedlove; and numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Michael, Kenny and Tim Breedlove, Chris and Adam Arthur and Richard Goines.

Ralph Webb
WATSON, Okla. — Ralph Nolen Webb, 75, of Watson died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, in Idabel, Okla. He was born Dec. 24, 1928, in Hochatown, Okla. He was a logger and a member of the Free Holiness Church in Watson.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Assembly of God in Hochatown with burial at Hochatown Cemetery under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home of Mena.
He is survived by his wife, Annabelle; a daughter, Delta Armstrong of Smithville, Okla.; two sons, Glen Webb of Holly Creek, Okla., and Danny Webb of Broken Bow, Okla.; two sisters, Wanda Riddle of Mena and Melba Benefield of Watson; two brothers, Alvie Webb of Muldrow and Don Webb of Watson; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Kelly J. Redden
Hospital Corpsman Petty Officer 1st Class Kelly J. Redden was born Dec. 11, 1969. A native of Roland, he graduated from Roland High School before enlisting in the Navy in March 1991. In May 1991 he attended basic training in San Diego, and upon graduation was assigned to the Naval School of Health Sciences in San Diego, where he attended Hospital Corpsman “A” School.
In October 1992, Petty Officer Redden was assigned to sea duty with the 2nd Marine Division in Camp Lejeune, N.C. While with the Marines, he deployed to Okinawa, Japan, and again to Haiti in support of Operation Support/Uphold Democracy. In July 1996 he was assigned to shore duty, Naval Support Activity, Memphis. In February 2000, he was assigned to his second sea tour and served on board USS Emory S. Land (AS 39), La Maddalena, Italy.
In November 2001, HM1 Redden reported to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 40, where he served until he went home to be with Jesus on Sept. 28, 2004.
He proudly served his country with honor and received several awards, including the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), the Navy Good Conduct Medal (four awards) and the Humanitarian Service Medal, as well as a number of other campaign, unit and service awards.
Kelly was raised in the Assembly of God faith, where he was active as Royal Ranger. He was a gentle person, and his family and friends enjoyed his beautiful smile and fun-loving nature. He had a tender heart and loved animals.
HM1 Kelly Redden is survived by a daughter, Ally Redden of Easton, Pa.; his father, Dean Redden of Roland; his mother, Nyoka “Niki” Harrison of Van Buren; his sister and brother-in-law, Shanna and Skeeter Daniels of Bentonville; two nephews, Tanner and Boston Daniels of Bentonville; his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Reva Redden of Roland, and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arlie and Freda Bolden of Roland. Kelly will be missed by all who knew him. He will forever be in our hearts.
Service will be today at 2 p.m. at Roland Assembly of God with burial at Liberty Cemetery north of Roland under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow.

Linda Sue Hodapp
Linda Sue Hodapp, 55, of Arkoma died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker. She is survived by two daughters, Vicky Lemley and husband Keith of Fort Smith, and Melinda Frias and husband Gerardo of Fort Smith; her father, Leon Goines of Arkoma; a sister, Connie Ritter of Arkoma; and a brother, Edward Goines of Fort Smith; five granddaughters, Ashley Moore, Haley Wagoner, Parker Lemley, Brenda Frias and Ivonne Frias. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, one sister-in-law, Paula Goines, and many friends.
Services will be Thursday, Aug. 12, at 1 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro.
Pallbearers will be Eric Stout, Darrell Doss, Gary Hodapp, Steven Lindsey, Carlos Rangel and Dustin Goines.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home today from 6 to 8 p.m.
Services under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Ellen Swiney
VALLEJO, Calif. — Ellen Frances Swiney, 84, of Vallejo, Calif., formerly of Spiro, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004, in Vallejo. She was born Nov. 23, 1919, in Williams, Okla. She was a homemaker, a member of Solid Rock Church of the Nazarene in Cameron, and the widow of Melbourne Boggs and Herbert Swiney.
Funeral was held Tuesday at Solid Rock Church of the Nazarene in Cameron with burial at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by a son, Bobby Boggs of Vallejo, Calif.; four brothers, Robert Mecom of Cartersville, Okla., Leon Long of Sallisaw, Kenneth Long of Hobbs, N.M., and Doyle Long of Eureka, Calif.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Katie Daggs, Paige McDonald, James Parker, Jonathan Hanna, Steve Mecom and Gary Williams.

Louise Mabray
SALLISAW — Louise Mabray, 82, of Sallisaw died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, in Vian. She was born Oct. 10, 1921, in Spiro. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by a daughter, Janie Scruggs of Sallisaw; a grandchild; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The body may be viewed 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Tina Bouse
KEOTA — Tina Nicole Bouse, 27, of Keota died Monday, Aug. 9, 2004, in Keota. She graduated from Keota High School.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Star Cemetery in Keota under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler.
She is survived by her father, Jack Bouse and wife Helen of Midwest City, Okla., and her mother, Billie Thompson of Keota; a sister, Candace Bouse of Midwest City, Okla.; three brothers, Jerry Stone of Oklahoma City, Ralph Nance of Midwest City, Okla., and Jack Bouse Jr. of Granite, Okla.; paternal grandmother, Fay Bouse of Harrah, Okla.; and maternal grandfather, Roy Ritter of Spiro.

William Stern
FORT GIBSON, Okla. — William Donald Stern, 60, of Fort Gibson, Okla., died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, in Muskogee, Okla.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Garland Cemetery in Stigler under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen; three daughters, Dona Stern of Little Rock, Jeanie Tice of Fort Gibson, Okla., and Samantha Fowler of Checotah, Okla.; three sons, William and Larry Stern, both of Muskogee, Okla., and James Justice of Guthrie, Okla.; two stepsons, Terry Elder and Jeff Coe, both of Muskogee, Okla.; two sisters, Barbara Guerra of Henderson, Nev., and Judy Nabors of Muskogee, Okla.; a brother, Robert Bryan of Durant, Okla.; and five grandchildren.

Maudene Watts
SALLISAW — Maudene Watts, 83, of Sallisaw died Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, in Sallisaw. She was born April 6, 1921, in Hanson, Okla. She was a longtime waitress at Sallisaw restaurants and was retired from Lessley’s Cafe. She attended Hanson Baptist Church.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Peters Cemetery in Sallisaw.
She is survived by three daughters, Alta Parsons of Spiro and Ann Looper and Barbara Hunt, both of Sallisaw; two sons, Bobby Watts and Ed Watts of Sallisaw; a brother, Doug Parsons of Spencer, Okla.; a half sister, Donna Bates of Arlington, Wash.; two half brothers, Kenneth and Barney Parsons, both of Arlington; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ed Watts, David and Glenn Woody, Jeremy James, Olen Carson III and Jarrett Bailey.
The body may be viewed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family will visit with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today.

Alta Bell
SALLISAW — Alta “Sally” Bell, 58, of Sallisaw died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, in Sallisaw.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Dwight Mission Cemetery in Sallisaw.
She is survived by her husband, James; a daughter, Leuwanna Bell of Sallisaw; a son, Lewis Bell of Grand Prairie, Texas; a sister, Evelyn Lemcool of Hot Springs; three brothers, Claude Stevens of Vienna, W.Va., Parker Stevens of Burleson, Texas, and Clyde Stevens of Tulsa; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Richard Lemcool, Tom Lowe, Jim Walters, Bruce Harper, Johnny Fox, Tony Hannanburgh and Eldridge McCoy.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

Melvin Looper
ARKOMA — Melvin Leroy “Pa” Looper, 48, of Arkoma died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, in Van Buren. He was the operations manager for Davis Iron and Metal of Van Buren for 10 years, a member of Arkoma Assembly of God and an Army veteran.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Arkoma Assembly of God with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; three daughters, Windy Goins of Spiro, Amanda Sierra of Fort Smith and Sabrina Looper of Arkoma; seven sons, Melvin Looper Jr. of Little Rock, Timothy and Christopher Looper, both of Fort Smith, James Looper of Greenwood, David Durant, Dustin Sears and Darden Looper, all of Arkoma; his mother, Mary Looper of Fort Smith; four sisters, Noreen Massey of Oklahoma City, Kathy Freeman, Joyce Colone, and Rosie Looper, all of Sallisaw; two brothers, Clifford Looper of Sallisaw and Glen Looper of Fort Smith; and 14 grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Amy Thompson
SALLISAW — Amy Kristine Froehlich Thompson, 39, of Sallisaw died Friday, Aug. 20, 2004, in Fort Smith.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church with burial at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by two sons, Christopher and Jesse Froehlich, both of Sallisaw; her parents, Clem and Mary Thompson of Sallisaw; and a sister, Libby Starks of Sallisaw.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Quakenbush, Jason, David, Bruce and Larry Hight, Brad Dorsey, Bart Stites and Brett Downing.
