Kathryn Satterfield
SPIRO — Kathryn Satterfield, 84, of Spiro died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, in Spiro. She was a homemaker.
Funeral will be noon Monday at Woodlawn Memorial Park Chapel with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Gene; two daughters, Virginia Mill and Kathey Satterfield, both of Spiro; three sons, Charles Russell of San Diego, Wayne Satterfield of Wrightwood, Calif., and Teddy Satterfield of Spiro; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will meet with friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Don Goad
POTEAU — Don Goad, 59, of Poteau, formerly of Summerfield, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a member and deacon of Heart of the Hills Baptist Church. He was a delegate to the 2000 Democratic National Convention and served as 2nd District Affirmative Action Representative. He was a member of the Choctaw Nation and a businessman and rancher.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wister Gymnasium with burial at Summerfield Cemetery under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; two sons, Jeff and Wayne Goad, both of Summerfield; a sister, Effie Hurst of Spiro; a half brother, O.B. Cogburn of Red Oak, Okla.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Opal Allen
MULDROW — Opal Juanita Allen, 78, of Muldrow died Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of New Life Pentecostal Church in Muldrow.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Muldrow with burial at Roland City Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Jessie; a daughter, Brenda Marks of Fort Smith; four sons, Larry and Michael Allen, both of Fort Smith, Dennis Allen of Muldrow and Robert Allen of Arkoma; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kevin, Bobby, Jared and Jessie Allen, Kyle and Ryan York and Patrick Landers.
The body may be viewed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today.

George Boyd
PANAMA — George C. Boyd, 68, of Panama died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, in Panama. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 10619 in Panama and the widower of Barbara Boyd.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mallory Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro with burial at a later date in California.
He is survived by seven sisters, Pam Smith, Paula Blevins and Betty Ratliff, all of Dewey, Okla., Sharon Lockman of Pawhuska, Okla., Carol Stoy of Winfield, Kan., and Kim and Sally Boyd, both of Plainview, Texas; two brothers, David Bunker of Palmdale, Calif., and Thomas Bunker of Oxnard, Calif.; one grandchild and four great-grandchildren.

Elsie Brown
WARNER, Okla. — Elsie Brown, 90, of Warner, Okla., died Tuesday, May 27, 2003 in Warner. She was the widow of Frank Brown.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Fields Cemetery in Porum, Okla., under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
She is survived by a daughter, Loretta Fox; a son, R.D. Brown; a brother, Wade Edwards; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Eddie Dean
ALMA — Eddie Dean, 58, of Alma died Wednesday, May 28, 2003, in a local hospital. He was a self-employed, antiques dealer and sold real estate and insurance. He was a Baptist.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Dean Cemetery in Alma.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; two step-daughters, Tammy Knox of Alma and Sarah Olson of Spiro; two sons, Johnny Dean of Van Buren and David Dean of Nashville, Tenn.; four step-sons, Jerry Cole of Spiro, Donnie Cole of Fort Smith, Bruce Olson of Huntington and Woody Olson of Hartford; a sister, Barbara Sneed of Fort Smith; two brothers, Guy Dean Jr. and C.L. Dean, both of Alma; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Lee Hackler, Bill and Darrell Gregory, Jim White, Bill Douglas, Gene Inman, Don Wilderson and Ray Cowan.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Harley Shipman
Harley Shipman, 86, of Arkoma died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was a retired truck driver from Jones Truck Lines after 35 years of service to the company and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Alma of the home; two daughters, Virginia Swilling of Barling and Ruby Needham of Pocola; two brothers, Raymond and Jessie Shipman, both of Fort Smith; 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be held at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday at 3 p.m. with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Steven Neal, Robert and Shawn Swilling, Tim and Mike Tilton and Charley Houck.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m.

Dorothy David
MUSKOGEE, Okla. — Dorothy Jane David, 84, of Muskogee died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, in Muskogee. She was born June 7, 1920, in Tulsa. She graduated from high school in Eureka Springs and was secretary to the school superintendent and to the Chamber of Commerce manager. She worked for Southwestern Bell in Fort Smith, the United Way in Poteau, State Farm Insurance Co., and Phoenix Federal Savings and Loan. She was active in Cub Scouts, P.T.A. and Sunday school and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Muskogee.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. today at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Muskogee under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home of Muskogee.
She is survived by her husband, Ray; two sons, John David of McLean, Va., and Jim David of Edmond, Okla.; three sisters, Mary Fourt of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Gloria Poletis of Harrisonburg, Va., and Jerri Snider of Berryville; two brothers, H.E. Ellington of Houma, La., and Lloyd Ellington of Woodburn, Ky.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 2130 W. Okmulgee, OK 74401.

Doyle Reed
SALLISAW — Doyle Reed, 69, of Sallisaw died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, in Sallisaw. He was born Dec. 7, 1934, in Sallisaw. He was a former barber and retired from Oklahoma Department of Transportation, I-40 Maintenance Division; he was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Sallisaw City Cemetery.
He is survived by a son, Steve Reed of Sallisaw; three sisters, Marion Goodwin of Cherokee, Okla., Erma Merrill of Sallisaw, and Margaret Ward of Broken Arrow, Okla.; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Leroy Hensley, Bobby Merrill, Mike McKinney, Lloyd Jackson, Dale Hill and Donald McDonald.
The body may be viewed 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Leonard Kennedy
VIAN — Leonard W. Kennedy, 77, of Vian died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, in Tulsa. He was born July 7, 1927, in Marble City. He worked as a truck driver and pipe fitter, and was a Protestant.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by his wife, Cuba; a daughter, Debra Gadbury of Wichita, Kan.; two sons, Leonard and Tim Kennedy, both of Vian; four sisters, Emily Whitmire of Sallisaw, Arlene Hildebrand of Fresno, Calif., Lois McGehee of Salina, Kan., and Rose Pruitt of Valley Center, Kan.; two brothers, Olen and Loyd Kennedy, both of Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kenny and Jeremy Gadbury, Brandon, Derek and Jesse Kennedy and Clinton McCoy.
The body may be viewed 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Calvin Kendall
SALLISAW — Calvin Franklin Kendall, 79, of Sallisaw died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, in Sallisaw. He was born Jan. 6, 1925, in Fairlee, Md. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a master sergeant, fought in the European Theater and was in Nagasaki, Japan, after the second bombing until the peace treaty was signed. He received the World War II Victory Medal, Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, U.N. Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, Philippines Liberation Ribbon, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Defense Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, and Good Conduct Medal with two Bronze LPS.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Okla., under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille; three daughters, Kathleen Kendall and Julia Goad, both of Sallisaw, and Janie Hensley of Hughson, Calif.; five sons, Gary and Milton Miller, both of Sallisaw, Richard Miller of Delhi, Calif., Bill James of Shasta, Calif., and Mike James of Winnemuka, Nev.; two sisters, Marian Leivy of Centerville, Md., and Pauline Coleman of Suddenville, Md.; 26 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

Paul Rogers
VIAN — Paul Rogers, 77, of Vian, formerly of Fort Gibson, Okla., died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, in Sallisaw. He was a member of the Nighthawk Keetoowahs and the Late Great Chevy Club, was a chauffeur for Chief W.W. Keeler, and was an artist with a painting in the Philbrook Museum in Tulsa.
Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Red Bird Smith Cemetery in Vian.
He is survived by a son, Bob Walker of Vian; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jason and Randall Billie, Jeff Wincle, James Girty, Phillip Thomas and Marvin Christie.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

William Bennett Jr.
ARKOMA — William C. Bennett Jr., 61, of Arkoma died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, in Sallisaw. He was a plumber and served in the Army Reserve.
Memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial of ashes in Vinita, Okla.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Connie Bennett of Tulsa and Elizabeth Caldera of Fort Smith; five sons, Steven Woolman of Vinita, Willburn, Bryan and Richard Bennett, all of Tulsa, and William Bennett III of Arkoma; and 21 grandchildren.

James White
SALLISAW — James Berry White, 79, of Sallisaw died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, in Sallisaw. He was born Jan. 7, 1925, in Sasakawa, Okla. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and Seagate Corp., and was a Protestant.
The body was sent to be cremated under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; a daughter, Barbara Thornhill of Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Della Bradley of Norman, Okla.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
