PORUM, Okla. — Caroline G. Alexander, 79, of Porum died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, in Tulsa. She sponsored the Possum Hollow Roundup Club and the Belle Starr Trail Ride, and worked as a nutritionist for OSU Extension Center.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Stigler, Okla.
She is survived by her husband, Andy; four daughters, Margaret Mahan of Hartshorne, Okla., Janice Pankratz of Bloomington, Minn., Marion Hefner of Checotah, Okla., and Mona Varnell of Porum; a son, Andy Alexander Jr. of Webbers Falls, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Porum.

Geneva Smith
Geneva Smith, 89, of Poteau passed away Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, in the Oaks Healthcare Center in Poteau. She was born Nov. 21, 1914, in Franklin County. She worked as a secretary for the LeFlore County Superintendent of Schools, First Baptist Church, and retired from the Department of Human Services. She was a member of First Baptist Church for more than 50 years. She was a lifetime resident of this area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Smith; and her parents, Grady and Ara Gill.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Poteau with burial at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau with the Rev. Phil McGehee officiating and arrangements under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Genell and Arthur Dellin of Claremore, Okla., Linda Ruth and Lucien Smith of Poteau, and Bonnie and Gary Lytal of Tulsa; a brother and sister-in-law, Arlen and Clara Gill of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren, Lance and wife Tamara Smith of Monroe, Lucie and husband Joel Cape of New Orleans, David and wife Julie Dellin of Pilot Point, Texas, Benjamin Lytal of New York City, and Samuel Lytal of Tulsa; four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Smith of Monroe, Gracie and Grady Cape of New Orleans, and Gage Dellin of Pilot Point, Texas; other relatives and loved ones and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be sons-in-law and grandsons.
The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. to visit with friends and relatives.

Augusta Dobbs Bankston
Augusta Dobbs Bankston, 83, of Broken Arrow, Okla., and longtime resident of Fort Smith passed away Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, in her home. She was a homemaker and a nurse’s aide for Sparks and Oak Lodge Nursing Home for many years. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God. She was born Aug. 1, 1921, in Akins, Okla., to Hugh and Dora Dobbs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilmer Lee Bankston, as well as her six siblings, Clarence, Frank and H.D. Dobbs, Willie Ogdon, Gladys Holt and Ruby Johnson; four children, Alvin, Sharon, Wilma and David Bankston; and two grandchildren, Tani and Dacia Bankston.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen Gorman of Broken Arrow and Joy Hachtmeyer of Bixby, Okla.; sons, Timothy Bankston of Broken Arrow and Joey Bankston of Fort Smith; brothers, Cleon Ogdon of Muldrow and Charles Carter of Arkoma; four grandchildren, Kirt Bankston of Broken Arrow, Jennifer Johnson of Bixby, Alicia Gorman of Broken Arrow, and Neil Hachtmeyer of Bixby; five great-grandchildren, Jasen, Matthew and Emma Lawmill of Broken Arrow, and Timothy and Taylor Johnson of Bixby.
The family will visit with friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Bankston, Cary Carr, Charles Hachtmeyer, Matt Johnson, Lionele Pennington and Roger Green.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Carter, Cleon Ogdon, Neil Hachtmeyer, Jeff Gorman, W.G. Dobbs, Harold Dobbs and Johnny Campbell.

Elzie Bryant
McCURTAIN, Okla. — Elzie C. Bryant, 92, of McCurtain died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, in Stigler, Okla. He was a rancher and a coal miner and the widower of Cassie Bryant.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at McCurtain Assembly of God with burial at Milton Cemetery in Bokoshe under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by a daughter, Murlene Swanson of Whitney, Texas; two sons, Robert Bryant of Red Oak, Okla., and R.D. Bryant of McCurtain; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Paul Orr, J.T. and Jerrod Hunter, Jimmy Cluck, Jerry Hensley and Bill Tackett.

Annie Piehl
MULDROW — Annie T. Piehl, 91, of Muldrow died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, in Muldrow. She was born Nov. 7, 1912, in Lisbon, N.D. She was a homemaker and a nurse’s aide, and a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sallisaw.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sallisaw with burial at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by a daughter, Sue Brothers of Muldrow; a son, Leroy Sutton of Warrington, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Velma Crutchfield
TULSA — Velma Crutchfield, 95, of Tulsa, formerly of Bokoshe, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, in Tulsa. She was born Jan. 13, 1909, in Coal Hill. She was of the Pentecostal faith and active in her church; she was a homemaker and the widow of Edward Crutchfield.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bokoshe Assembly of God with burial at Old Bokoshe Cemetery in Bokoshe under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro.
She is survived by six daughters, Lavada Parker of Broken Arrow, Okla., Wanda Riley and Karla Dill, both of Tulsa, Shelba McConnell and Barbara Fowler, both of Brea, Calif., and Beverly Carey of Phoenix; three sons, Oneal Crutchfield of Downey, Calif., J.E. Crutchfield of Catoosa, Okla., and W.T. Crutchfield of McCurtain, Okla.; 22 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Dennis, Steve and Randy Crutchfield, Danny Cloud, Jeffrey Brown and Todd Fowler.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Rudolph DiGiacinto
SALLISAW — Rudolph D. DiGiacinto, 60, of Sallisaw died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was born Nov. 16, 1943, in Muldrow. He was service manager and salesman for Commercial Heat and Air, a Baptist and an Air Force veteran.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday in Blunt Baptist Church in Sallisaw with burial at 1 p.m. at U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; two daughters, Tina Bynum of Enid, Okla., and Misty Lott of Sallisaw; three sons, Justin DiGiacinto of Piedmont, Okla., Chuck Lott of Hennesy, Okla., and Dusty Lott of Sallisaw; his mother, Bernice DiGiacinto of Sallisaw; two sisters, Linda Eggleston of Blanchard, Okla., and Opal Cockrell of Sallisaw; and eight grandchildren.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Lisa McDonald
MULDROW — Lisa J. McDonald, 37, of Muldrow died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, in Fort Smith. She was born July 29, 1967, in Fort Smith. She was an assembly worker for Bost Human Development Center, a Protestant and a 1985 graduate of Muldrow High School.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday in the Church of the Nazarene in Muldrow with burial at Blackjack Cemetery northwest of Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow.
She is survived by he parents, Wayne and Debbie McDonald of Muldrow; a sister, Paula Scott of Booneville; a brother, Tim McDonald of Fort Smith; and her maternal grandmother, Betty James of Shady Point.
Pallbearers will be Danny and Bryan James, Jamie and J.D. Armstrong and Mike and Scott Killian.
The body may be viewed from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Michael Ross
ALTUS — Michael Wayne Ross, 42, of Altus died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2004, in Tulsa. He was born Sept. 16, 1962, in Ozark. He was a lead man for ConAgra and a member of Abundant Life Fellowship in Altus.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Mount View Cemetery in Ozark.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; four sons, Jeremy Ross of Broken Arrow, Okla., James, Justin and John Ross, all of Altus; his father, Gerald Ross of Ozark; a sister, Beth Rowlett of Ozark; three brothers, Randy and Mark Ross, both of Ozark, and David Ross of Altus; and five grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Troy Thornburg
FANSHAWE — Troy Dee Thornburg, 68, of Fanshawe died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, in Fanshawe. He was born April 17, 1936, in Fanshawe. He was a truck driver.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Evans & Miller Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Poteau with burial at Hicks Chapel Cemetery in Fanshawe.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey; a daughter, Shirley Thornburg of Fanshawe; two sons, Rick and Robert Thornburg, both of Fanshawe; three sisters, Lucille Wisham of Philene, Calif., Mamie Sumpter of Fanshawe and Dorothy Shaw of McClean, Texas; a brother, Hubert Thornburg of Spiro; 23 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

Estelle Wilson
WALDRON — Estelle Wilson, 86, of Waldron died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, in Waldron. She was the widow of Delbert Wilson.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at Waldron Church of Christ with burial at Parks Cemetery in Nola under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
She is survived by two sons, Jim Wilson of Waldron and Del Wilson of McKinney, Texas; two sisters, Jo Parker of Waldron and Margaret James of Gravelly; two brothers, Gaylon Kitchens of Mountain Home and Frank Kitchens of Springdale; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jake Lyda, Tony and Cagney Wilson, Jim Stafford, Bo Jesse and Jeremy Rogers.

Judy Simmons
SALLISAW — Judy Lou Simmons, 48, of Sallisaw died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, in Sallisaw. She was born Dec. 6, 1955, in Sallisaw. She was a 1974 graduate of Central High School, a home health aide for Professional Home Hospice and a member of Elim Full Gospel Church in Sallisaw.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Elim Full Gospel Church in Sallisaw with burial at Buffington Cemetery west of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by her husband, Gary; a daughter, Ashley Kennedy of Sallisaw; a son, Michael Kennedy of Sallisaw; a stepdaughter, Gerri Simmons of Bernie, Mo.; a stepson, Scott Simmons of Sallisaw; her mother, Cleo Ellis of Sallisaw; four sisters, Joann Richardson, Jill Owens, Kay Linthicum and Tammy Simmons, all of Sallisaw; four brothers, Mack, Terry, Mitchell and Scotty Ellis, all of Sallisaw; one grandchild; and one stepgrandchild.
Pallbearers will be Jeff and Jason Owens, Tim McKinney, Donnie Shockey, Teddy Sells and Tristan Hines.

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — Augusta Dobbs Bankston, 83, of Broken Arrow, Okla., formerly of Fort Smith, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, in her home. She was born Aug. 1, 1921, in Akins, Okla.
