CLAREMORE, Okla. — Edna Sue Purcell, 88, of Claremore and formerly of Tamaha, Okla., died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, in a local hospital.
Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in First Assembly of God in Stigler with burial at Tamaha Cemetery near Stigler under the direction of King and Shearwood Funeral Home in Stigler.
She is survived by two sons, Phil Johnson of Edmond, Okla., and Tommy Johnson of Tulsa; two sisters, Pat Haines of Merced, Calif., and Opal Ravisconi of Hanford, Calif.; three brothers, Charles L. Boggs of Amarillo, Texas, Thomas Boggs of Tamaha and Javon Boggs of Stigler; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Brian, Keith and Garvin Boggs, Jeff Johnson, Dee Edwards and Wally Benedict.
The body may be viewed from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today and until 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Paul Taylor
SUBIACO — Paul Wayne Taylor, 60, of Subiaco died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, in Little Rock. He was retired Navy and served in the Arkansas National Guard. He worked for Great Lakes Carbon Company of Ozark and was a bus driver for Clarksville schools. He was a charter member and deacon of Subiaco Worship Center and American Legion, former member of the Scranton Fire Department and was president of the Wares Chapel Cemetery Board.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Subiaco Worship Center with burial at Wares Chapel Cemetery in Dublin under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by he wife, Judy; one daughter, Angela Gale Chambers of Van Buren; one son, Dewayne of Wickes; his mother, Elizabeth Walker Taylor of Scranton; one sister, Betty Pruitt of Arlington, Texas; two brothers, Joe of Fort Smith and Curtis of Scranton; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joe Matt Freeman, Ricky White, Ray Gack, Robert Lovelace, Michael Geels and Eddie Sims.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Carl Flaharity
ARKOMA — Carl L. Flaharity, 56, of Arkoma died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, in a local hospital. He was a process technician for Alltrista Industries.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Fentress Mortuary in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Lona; two sons, Darrell Wayne Flaharity of Pampa, Texas, and Waylon Flaharity of Arkoma; one stepson, Ricky Gene Beshears of Oklahoma City; his father, Maynard Flaharity of Wichita Falls, Texas; one stepsister, Wilma Marie Furgero of Wichita Falls, Texas; three stepbrothers, Donald Flaharity of Dallas and Maynard Flaharity Jr. and Jimmy Ray Flaharity, both of Wichita Falls; and six grandchildren.

Dolores Callahan
SALLISAW — Dolores Elizabeth Callahan, 84, of Sallisaw died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, in Fort Smith. She was a retired cook from Lessley’s Cafe, retired foster grandparent from Eastside School in Sallisaw, member of Calvary Temple Full Gospel Church, former Sunday school teacher in the beginner’s class at First Assembly of God and the widow of Albert Greenberry Callahan.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Temple Full Gospel Church with burial at Drakestand Cemetery, west of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by three daughters, Ervalee Wooten of Roland, Pat Jones of Sallisaw and Dianna Trammell of Gore; two sons, Albert James (Jim) Callahan and Gary Daniel (Dan) Callahan, both of Sallisaw; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Ruark, Jerry Conley, Greg Cox, Gene Long, Sean Scearce, Bob Jamison, Jim Cato and Roy Ray.
The family will visit with friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Donald Haynes
SPIRO — Donald Richard Haynes, 63, of Spiro died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, in Fort Smith. He was a jewelry maker, member of Masonic Lodge #49 and member of the First Baptist Church in Spiro.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro with burial at Old Bokoshe Cemetery in Bokoshe.
He is survived by his wife, Trena; two daughers, P.J. Beason of Spiro and Rhonda Sue Mitchell of Arlington, Texas; one son, Richard of Spiro; three sisters, Lois Webb of For t Smith, Louise Holcomb of Tulsa and Marilyn Smith of Shady Point; three brothers, A.L. Haynes of Whittier, Calif., James Walter Haynes of Seeley, Calif., and John Lester Haynes of Spiro, Okla.; and seven grandchildren, Kory and Stephanie Mitchell, Haley Walters, Seth and Sydnee Haynes and Bradley and Brooke Beason.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Mann, Jim Harlen West, Bud Cosgrove, Tom Pat Swafford, Don Atkinson, George Brown, William Moore, Dale Stout and Paul Wilbanks.

Jeppy Hall
POTEAU — Jeppy Herbert Hall, 94, of Poteau died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, in Poteau. He was a farmer-rancher east of Poteau, a carpenter and the widower of Ellen Elizabeth Hall.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with burial at Monroe Cemetery in Monroe.
He is survived by two daughters, Grace Timperley of Tecumseh, Okla., and Betty Brown of Poteau; one son, Andrew Hall of Albuquerque; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jimmie Cooper, Donald Lee Garre, Jackie Cooper, Jeff Callaway and Richard and Alan Timperly.

WILLIAM GILLION
BOKOSHE, Okla. — William M. Gillion, 64, of Bokoshe, Okla., died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, in Bokoshe. He was the manager of the Jimmy Jones Company, a member of First United Methodist Church of Bokoshe, a member of the Sehorn Barkley Post 75 American Legion, a member of the Lions Club and a Korean War veteran.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church of Bokoshe with burial at Old Bokoshe Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by his wife, Anita; two sons, William A. Gillion of Atoka and Douglas M. Gillion of Fort Smith; one stepson, Alan Tobler of Spiro; his mother, Martha L. Gillion of Bokoshe; two brothers, Jay of Sumpter, S.C., and Bobby of Cardwell, Mo.; two sisters, June Meek of Poteau and Mary Converse of Tishomingo, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be W.C. and Curtis Means, Sherman Dix, Jay and Bob Gillion and Jeff Meek.

WOODROW BATES
SALLISAW — Woodrow Wilson Bates, 78, of Sallisaw died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2000, in Sallisaw. He was a member of Akins Assembly of God and a World War II veteran.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Akins Assembly of God church with burial at Akins Cemetery in Akins under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille; 10 daughters, Melba Garner of Tulsa, Floy Harper of Pine Bluff, Edith Severns of Little Rock, Kay Bates of Florence, S.C., Deby Nottingham of Tulsa, Sissy Murray, Mary Ann Wiley and Sarah Harper, all of Sallisaw, Sybil Adams of Alexander and Donna Adams of North Little Rock; four sons, Lee Bates of Tulsa, Tony Bates of Ocala, Fla., Johnny Jackson of Mabelvale and Bobby Jackson of Sallisaw; one brother, Robert Bates of Pine Bluff; and more than 100 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mike Nottingham, Albert Harper, Johnny and Bobby Jackson, Eddie Cullipher and Jacob Myers.
The family will visit with friends from noon to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

PEARLENE SOAP
MULDROW — Pearlene Soap, 31, of Muldrow died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000, in Fort Smith. She was a member of Belfonte Church in Belefonte, Okla.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Belfonte Church with burial at Belfonte Cemetery north of Muldrow under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by her parents, Billy and Flora Soap of Muldrow; two sisters, Lora and Jennifer Soap, both of Muldrow; and one brother, Bill Allen Soap of Muldrow.
Pallbearers will be Mose Nofire, Calvin and Jimmy Dale Soap, Roger Coleman, Steve Morgan and Mavin Star.
The body may be viewed at Belfonte Church.
The family will visit with friends from 5:45 p.m. today to 2 p.m. Monday.

BEATRICE LEE
WOODWARD, Okla. — Beatrice Lee, 83, of Keota, Okla., died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, in Woodward. She was the widow of Frank Lee.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Mallory Chapel with burial at Keota Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Beach of Keota and Etha Mae Thomas of Follett, Texas; two sons, Homer and Jerry Lee, both of Keota; one sister, Millie Holderby of Keota; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.

AL SHULL
STIGLER — Al Shull, 82, of Stigler died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, in Stigler.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Main Street Baptist Church with burial at Stigler Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; one sister, Elizabeth Celcer; one granddaughter, Threasa Waltz and her husband, Warren; and one great-granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be Warren Waltz, Jim Bruner, Rock Humphrey, Bud Lassiter, David Byler and Bill Bender.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

Barney Snow
SALLISAW — Barney Ray Snow, 51, of Sallisaw died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000, in Sallisaw. He was a truck driver and a Protestant.
The body was cremated under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
He is survived by five sisters, Joyce Bratt of Sacramento, Calif., and Dorothy Harris, Glenda Huffman, Doris Flanagan and Georgia Vivian Decaney, all of Sallisaw; two brothers, Jack of Sallisaw and Thomas of Mesa, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.

Seth Foster
STIGLER — Seth Foster, 32, of Stigler died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, in Fort Smith.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Stigler with burial at Ceres (Calif.) Memorial Park.
He is survived by his companion, Alice Davis; two daughters, Kayla Davis and Misty Barrick; four sons, Jason, Craig and Clay Davis and Dustin Bean; his mother, Rena Foster; one brother, Scott; two half-brothers, Frank and Steve Foster; and one grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Gary, Steve and Ernie Johnson, John Phillips, Jared and Fulvio Bertolotti and Randall Flannagan.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.

Lucinda Haney
STIGLER — Lucinda Haney, 98, Stigler, formerly of Fort Smith, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, in Stigler. She was the widow of Isaac Garland Haney.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Monroe Cemetery in Monroe under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
She is survived by a daughter, Maggie Lee Fuller, Keota; 22 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and 40 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home.
