MULDROW — Gladys Edwards, 95, of Muldrow died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, in Sallisaw. She was born Oct. 23, 1909, in the Long community in Oklahoma. She was a homemaker, a cattle rancher and a member of Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow with burial at Blackjack Cemetery northwest of Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow.
She is survived by a brother, Paul Edwards of Muldrow.
Pallbearers will be nephews and great-nephews.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Edward Junior Ellison
Edward Junior Ellison, 78, of Pocola died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004, in his home. He was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Short, Okla., was retired from Baldor Electric, member of Pocola Christian Fellowship Assembly of God.
Funeral will be 3 p.m. today at Pocola Christian Fellowship with burial at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy of the home; one daughter, Kimberly and husband, Geoffrey Brannon of Pocola; and one grandchild, Allison Nicole White.
Pallbearers will be Dan Carter, Bill Nelke, George A. Davis, Sonny Swink, Jay Winters and Leon Whitlock.

Lowell Stewart
PORUM, Okla. — Lowell “Tate” Stewart, 89, of Porum died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, in Tulsa. He owned and operated Porum Auto Supply and Garage.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Coleman Cemetery in Porum under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler, Okla.
He is survived by his wife, Susie; and a sister, Verlan Edwards of Oklahoma City.

Eudena Bowman
POTEAU — Eudena Bowman, 90, of Poteau died Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, in Poteau. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended the First Assembly of God in Poteau. She was the widow of Elzie Bowman.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. today at First Assembly of God in Poteau with burial at Howe Cemetery in Howe under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home of Heavener.
She is survived by three sons, Ed, Jim and Harvey, all of Poteau; a sister, Lona Bowman of Heavener; a brother, Gene Stacy of Howe; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Glena Herring
POTEAU — Glena Archey Herring, 57, of Moncks Corner, S.C., formerly of Poteau, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, in North Carolina. She was born Jan. 25, 1947, in Campbell, Calif.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fairhill/Knothole Cemetery in Cameron under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by her husband, Leon; a sister, Lyda Hall of Tacoma, Wash.; and two brothers, Phillip McDonald of Oklahoma City and Clifford Jones of Columbus, Ga.
The family will visit with friends Tuesday evening until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Jack Loy Wickett
A funeral service for Jack Loy Wickett, 73, of Warner, Okla., will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Bradley Belltower Chapel with the Rev. Ray Phillips officiating.
He was born Aug. 27, 1931, in Muskogee, Okla., the son of Charles and Jewel (Simpson) Wickett and passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at his home.
Jack worked as a truck driver for many years and enjoyed traveling all over the United States. He was a cattleman and had the opportunity to ride many rare horses. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Jack loved spending time with his grandbabies and always had a special place in his heart for all children. His family and friends referred to him as just a “good old cowboy.”
He is survived by his wife, Rosie Marie of the home; four children, six stepchildren, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, three sisters, six brothers, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service of Muskogee with the arrangements.

Archie Whitley
TAMAHA, Okla. — Archie Whitley, 90, of Tamaha died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, in Stigler, Okla. He served during World War II and was a lifetime member of Disabled Veterans of America. Before his retirement he worked in aircraft electronics as an employee of the Air Force.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Cass Freewill Baptist Church with burial at Tamaha Cemetery in Tamaha under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler. military rites will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4446 of Stigler.
He is survived by his wife, Fleet; three daughters, Anna Cook of Orick, Calif., Donna Lorenz of Eureka, Calif., and Faith Curtis of Cushing, Iowa; two sons, Howard Vasuary of Dayton, Ohio, and Roy Eacret of Tulsa; a brother, Eugene Whitley of Tamaha; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Brooks Venable
BIXBY, Okla. — Brooks F. Venable, 74, of Bixby died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, in Broken Arrow, Okla. He was born Jan. 11, 1930, in Russellville. He served in the Air Force and worked in the petroleum industry as an accountant and salesman. He was a longtime member of Bixby Free Will Baptist Church where he served as church treasurer, was a member of Tulsa Scottish Rite and a 32nd degree Mason of the Bixby Masonic Lodge.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Bixby Free Will Baptist Church with burial at 3 p.m. at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston under the direction of Leonard & Marker Funeral Home of Bixby.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; a daughter, Carrie Dooly of Tulsa, a son, Clark Venable of Houston; two sisters, Mary Wright and Chris Fryer, both of Atkins; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or the American Alzheimer’s Association.

Michael Holloway
ALTUS — Michael Holloway, 42, of Altus died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, in Altus. He was a Methodist.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel in Ozark with burial at Houston Cemetery in Altus.
He is survived by two daughters, Brandy and Megan Holloway, both of Ozark; his mother, Melba Holloway of Altus; and a sister, Diane Harmon of Altus.
Pallbearers will be Jim Gowing, Steve Ricketts, Joe Hoing, Harold McFadden, Jimmy Cline and Chad Binyon.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Willie Adams
PANAMA — Willie N. “Bill” Adams, 89, of Panama died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was a member and deacon of the First Assembly of God in Panama, a retired construction engineer and the widower of Essie Adams.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God in Panama with burial at Old Bokoshe Cemetery in Bokoshe under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home in Poteau.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Chaddwick, Jack Martin, Bob Brown, R.C. Culwell, Larry Greenwood and Bill Lindenau.

George Fugitt
SALLISAW — George R. Fugitt, 84, of Sallisaw died Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was born June 13, 1920, in Springfield, Mo. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He worked on the Alaskan highway and spent two years in Europe during World War II. He fought in the Rhineland, Ardennes, Normandy and northern France battles. He was awarded four Bronze Stars and the Good Conduct Medal. He worked as a lineman for the Frisco and Kansas City Southern railroads. He worked as an electrical lineman and as a factory worker at Holley Carburetor.
Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn; a daughter, Gail Fine of Sallisaw; a son, Robert Fugitt of Wilburton, Okla.; a sister, Helen Ford of Springfield, Mo.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Derek and Brent Fine, Ty Smith and Nicholas Fugitt.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

Jimmy Lasiter
Jimmy Lasiter, 68, of Guthrie, Okla., formerly of Fort Smith, passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, in Guthrie. He was an ex-professional boxer and a former Golden Gloves Champion. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Lasiter; a son, Jimmy Paul Lasiter; and a granddaughter, January Shantel Lasiter.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Lou Jordan Lasiter; three daughters, Vicki Crawford of Guthrie, Debra Jean Norton of Phoenix and Wyleah Severe of Pocola; one son, Donnie Lasiter of Alma; his mother, Helen Faulkner of Fort Smith; one sister, Donna Crowden of Van Buren; one brother, Billy Paul Lasiter of Dyer; seven grandchildren, Kelley Pouche of Crescent, Okla., Kim Deleon of Phoenix, Amanda Hatfield and Edward Osburne Jr., both of Guthrie, and Brandon, Megan and Grant Severe, all of Pocola; and five great-grandchildren, Brittney and Riley Pouche, Jonathan and Destiney Deleon and Chloe Hatfield.
Chloe Hatfield, his last grandchild, was born on Dec. 3, the day of Papa’s passing.
Pallbearers will be Grayson Hatfield, Edward Osburne Jr., Mike Crawford, John Deleon, Bud and Kevin Crowden and David Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be his special friends Lee Roy Parker, Tim Chapman, David Fry, Raymond Hulsey and Willis “Cleo” Humphrey.

Jimmy Lasiter
GUTHRIE, Okla. — Jimmy Lasiter, 68, of Guthrie, formerly of Fort Smith, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, in Guthrie. He was an ex-professional boxer and a former Golden Gloves Champion.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. today at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith.

SAPULPA, Okla. — Elmer Broaddrick, 78, of Sapulpa, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, in a nursing home. He was a retired machinist for McDonnell Douglas, a Baptist and the widower of Imagene Broaddrick.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hon Cemetery in Hon under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Waldron.
He is survived by a son, William of Sand Springs, Okla.; a sister, Madge Richardson of Houston; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday.
