Mary Stephens
SPIRO — Mary M. Stephens, 91, of Spiro died Sunday, March 6, 2005, in Pocola. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Spiro and the National Society of Tole and Decorative Painters Inc.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro with burial at Spiro City Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Rode of Santa Claita, Calif., and Chavela Anderson of Talihina; three sons, Malcolm and Milton Stephens, both of Spiro, and Charles Stephens of Fort Smith; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Hank Gay
SALLISAW — Henry Cashus “Hank” Gay, 80, of Sallisaw died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, in Sallisaw. He was born March 21, 1924, in Sallisaw. He was a retired heavy equipment operator, a World War II veteran, a graduate of Sallisaw High School, a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Sallisaw, and the widower of Betty Gay.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Sallisaw City Cemetery.
He is survived by a daughter, Mary Mattox of Sallisaw; a son, Phillip Gay of Sallisaw; a brother, Edward Gay of Muskogee, Okla.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lelland and Jim Choate, Chris Gay, Chuck Wade, Jim Pence, Mackie Brooks and Ewell Adams.
The body may be viewed 1 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Charlene Fields
AKINS — Charlene Fields, 61, of Akins died Saturday, June 23, 2001, in Fort Smith. She was a former furniture worker, a cook and half of a husband-wife truck-driving team for Levi Carlile and Peacock Trucking. She was a Baptist.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Akins Cemetery northeast of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by her husband, J.C. Fields; four daughters, Alene Allen and Johnnie Lumbley, both of Akins, Mary Jean Massengale of Greenwood and Donna Thomas of Spiro; a sister, Jeanette Woody of Hanson, Okla.; five brothers, Fay Woody of Muldrow, Ray Woody of Brushy, James Woody of Vian, Newton Woody of Choctaw, Okla., and Dewey Woody of Rudy; and 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her sons-in-law and grandsons.

Ed Darden
Ed Darden, 69, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, in Sallisaw. He was born Nov. 19, 1935, in Fort Smith. He was a retired plumber and of the Pentecostal faith.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Faith Fellowship Tabernacle, 4501 Virginia, with burial at Dora Cemetery in Dora under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Lindsey and Lisa Tingler, both of Fort Smith; a sister, Ambrose Darden of Arkoma; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Moore, Billy Smouse, Marcus Tingler, Jason Lindsey, Ted Lindsey Jr. and Chris Wilett.

Josephine Humphreville
WISTER — Josephine Humphreville, 93, of Wister died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born Aug. 27, 1911, in Roundup, Mont. She was a homemaker and the widow of Dewitt Humphreville.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Wister with burial at Ellis Chapel Cemetery in Wister under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
She is survived by a daughter, Sue Morris of Wister; three sons, Dewitt Humphreville of Lancaster, Calif., Thomas Humphreville of Pocola, and Robert Humphreville of Arkoma; five sisters, Frances Mitchell of Mustang, Okla., Ella Chades of Santa Clara, Calif., Lucy Kennedy and Margaret Robson, both of Billings, Mont., and Patsy Dodds of Great Falls, Mont.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wister United Methodist Church.

Ernest Harris
OKLAHOMA CITY — Ernest Harris, 64, of Oklahoma City, formerly of Fort Smith, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, in Oklahoma City. He was a retired security guard at the Oklahoma City Zoo.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at King Solomon Christian Church with burial at Washington Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by two daughters, Joye Batts and Sekenia Eberson, both of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Helen Shepherd and Fredia Allison, both of Fort Smith, and Pauline Slaton of Burlington, N.J.; two brothers, Booker Harris of Lumberton, N.J., and W.A. Harris of Willingsboro, N.J.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will visit with friends at 2031 N. 13th street in Fort Smith.

Mr. Marvin Amos
Services for Mr. Marvin Amos, 96, of the Miller Ridge Community, Okla., will be held Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Akins Baptist Church with the Rev. Vernon Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons and grandsons-in-law, Barry Amos, Jerry Barrera, Jerry Keith Brock, Larry Pickard, Kevin Ballinger, Tony Demaree, Rick Brock and Kevin Clement.
Mr. Amos was born Aug. 6, 1908, in Sallisaw, the son of John Amos and Margaret Nancy (Garvin) Amos. He was married to Vinnie Lattimore in March of 1928. She preceded him in death on Feb. 13, 1997, in Fort Smith. Mr. Amos passed this life on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at his home.
A cattle rancher and caretaker for Akins Cemetery, he retired from the Oklahoma State Department of Forestry. He was a former county employee where he served as foreman for District 3 under Tickey Green. He worked in the shipyards during World War II. Mr. Amos always enjoyed politics, especially on the local level, and always supported his community, church and school.
He leaves to mourn his passing three daughters, Wynona Burney and her husband, Jerry, of Miller Ridge Community, Betty Pickard and her husband, Lawrence, of Dos Palos, Calif., and Emma Sue Brock and the late Cal Brock of Miller Ridge Community; one son, Ronnie Amos and his wife, Billie, of Claremore, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Magnolia Lattimore of Miller Ridge Community, Ruby Lessley of Yuba City, Calif., and Virginia Crowell and her husband, Jim, of Bellevue, Wash.; a brother, Clayton Amos and his wife, Ollie, of Fort Smith; a sister-in-law, Mary Amos of Sallisaw. He was preceded in death by one son, M.D. Amos Jr.; and his wife of 69 years, Vinnie.

Tonia Little
PORUM, Okla. — Tonia Mendenhall Little, 33, of Porum died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2004, in Muskogee, Okla.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Assembly of God in Porum with burial at Fields Cemetery in Porum under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Stigler, Okla.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas of McAlester, Okla.; a daughter, Jaleesa Smith; a son, T.J. Little; her parents, Lois and George Hill of Porum; two sisters, Cindy Smith of Muskogee, Okla., and Angie Adney of Coweta, Okla.; and a brother, Stacy Mendenhall of Porum.
Pallbearers will be Pete Scheulen, Shannon Fuller, Cleo Hill, Steve and Davie Mendenhall and Dusty Bailey.

Donald Weaver Jr.
Donald Weaver Jr., 43, of Short died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, in a Fort Smith hospital.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at New Cemetery in Mulberry under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; a daughter, Kristy Weaver of Muldrow; three sons, David Weaver of Van Buren and Dillion and Daniel Weaver, both of Muldrow; his mother, Shirley Weaver of Van Buren; his father, Sonny Weaver of Mulberry; and one grandchild, Grabrielle Lynn Weaver of Van Buren.

Randolph “Randy” Lewis
Randolph “Randy” Lewis, 54, of Stilwell died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, in his home. He was a member of Christian Life Ministries and was a boating, fishing and camping enthusiast. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Franklin Lewis and Treva Bell Breeden; and one brother, Eldon Lewis.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; a daughter, April Mitchell of Fort Smith; two sons, Bill Lewis of Atlanta and Josh Tinsley of Fort Smith; two sisters, Onita Robertson of Sparks, Nev., and Darlene Dunaway of Colorado; a brother, Jerry Allen of Fort Smith; and seven grandchildren, Ashley Lewis, Lauren Lewis of Atlanta, Erik Lewis, Jade and Chance Mitchell of Stilwell, Okla., and Ruby Pickrell and Joshua Tinsley of Fort Smith.
Pallbearers will be Russell Hart, Eddy Pickrell, Larry Norwood, Dennis Sanders, David Miller and Justin Hamilton.
The family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The Rev. Herman Harrison
The Rev. Herman Harrison, 71, of Roland died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 26, 1933, in Foreman. He was a minister of the Gospel for 52 years, was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of the Rose Garden Full Gospel Church in Jenny Lind. He was former pastor of Glad Tidings in Fort Smith, Pentecostal Tabernacle of Fort Smith, Eastside Full Gospel of Spiro, Upper Room Assembly in Greenwood and a former employee of Edwards Funeral Home.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith. Graveside service will be 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at Ellis Chapel Cemetery in Wister under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Tommie of the home; a stepdaughter, Mary Midgley of Wister; two stepsons, Bob and Gene Ryburn, both of Wister; two sisters, Mary Jennings of Frankston, Texas, and Lorene Harris of Broken Bow, Okla.; three brothers, E.C. Harrison of DeQueen, Lewis Harrison of Idabel, Okla., and G.W. Harrison of Yuba City, Calif.; 10 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Donald Elmore, the Rev. Wesley McLaughlin, Owen Tabor, Ronnie Mackey, Rodney Lane and Danny Seamans.

Chessie Helton
BLUE HALL — Chessie Limbocker Helton, 89, of Blue Hall died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, in her home. She was a homemaker and the widow of Doyle Helton.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron with burial at Helton Cemetery near Waldron.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Lemons of Greenwood and Mary Viera of Waldron; a brother, Edwin Limbocker of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy, James, Johnny, Charlie and Glen Farnsworth and Bobby Limbocker.
The body may be viewed 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Marie Matlock
MULDROW — Marie A. Matlock, 93, of Muldrow died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004, in Roland. She was born Jan. 7, 1911, in Branch. She was a homemaker, was retired from Sparks Regional Medical Center, a member of Church of the Nazarene in Muldrow and the widow of Orlen Matlock.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Church of the Nazarene in Muldrow with burial at Blackjack Cemetery northwest of Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow.
She is survived by three daughters, Virginia Fugett and Joyce McGehee, both of Muldrow, and Shirley Yarberro of Poteau; three sons, Carl Matlock of Muldrow, Jimmy Matlock of Poteau and Alton Matlock of Sallisaw; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
The body may be viewed 1 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
