Imogene Marie McClellan

Imogene Marie McClellan, 83, of Hugo died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, in Arlington, Texas.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel in Duncan with the Rev. Monty Wood, her grandson, officiating. Burial will be in the Alma Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Mrs. McClellan was born April 12, 1917, in Alma to L.C. and Myrtle May Jump Rue. She married Delbert McClellan on Feb. 22, 1940, in Duncan and he preceded her in death in 1979.

She was a homemaker and a member of AARP and the Hugo Church of Christ.

Survivors include a daughter, Ima Joe McClellan Barnett of Hugo; two sisters, Bette Rue Norton of Bedford, Texas, and Cleda May Black of Pico Rivera, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers, Earl Rue, George H. Rue and Alpha J. Rue; and three sisters, Jessie Rue, Laura Norton and Birdie Miller.

Bearers will be her grandsons and nephews, Glenn Shelton, Darrell Shelton, Weldon Wright, Delton Wright, James Barnett and Mark Davis.

Daisy Marie Gerdene Thomas

Service for Daisy Mariev Gerdene Thomas, 86, of Duncan, who died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, in Duncan, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Prairie Hill Church of Christ. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home in Duncan.

William Paul Savage

William Paul Savage, 65, of Duncan died Wednesday, May 17, 2000, in Oklahoma City.

Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Immanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Jack Robbins officiating. Burial will be in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home in Duncan.

Mr. Savage was born Sept. 2, 1934, in Doyle to William Charles and Eva Grave Billingsley Savage. He married Arteleta Williamson on June 1, 1953, in Rush Springs.

He was a welder at Family Dollar and a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Arteleta, of the home, two sons, Paul R. Savage and Gregory Savage of Duncan; a daughter, Traci Shawn Cox of Duncan; a brother, Wendell Savage of Rush Springs; a sister, Billie Jean Richards of Marlow; six grandchildren, Rayna Carr and Breezy Savage, both of Oklahoma City, Hollie Savage of Winter Park, Fla., Tyler Savage, Matthew Cox and Brooke Cox, all of Duncan.

Bearers will be Michael Lightner, Marvin Williamson, Terry Armstrong, David Richards, Fred Burris, Don Hurley, Ted Dirickson and Steve Saunders.

Sallie Henderson

WAURIKA - Sarah Kathrine "Sallie" Henderson, 91, of Waurika, passed away, Tuesday, May 16, 2000.

Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Waurika Baptist Church with Noel Curington officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.

Mrs. Henderson was born April 10, 1909, in Stephens County, east of Duncan, to Robert Thomas and Dora Louisa Jones Love. She married Herbert Guy "Hub" Henderson on Oct. 25, 1931. Hub preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1990, in his 94th year of life.

They lived in various places in Oklahoma including Ara, Nebo and west of Ryan and also spent several years in Canutillo, N.M. They established a home southeast of Waurika and lived there the remainder of their lives.

She was a homemaker and farmer's wife and in later years, worked as a cook at the Waurika Elementary School and for Meals on Wheels for the Green Thumb program. She was a member of the Waurika Senior Citizen's Center and the Banner Quilting Club.

They have eight children, Naketa Hope McManaway of Winchester, Ky., Bobby Guy, Jimmy Dale, Gregory Lynn and Judith Elaine, all of Waurika, Herbert Harold and John William of Tuttle, and Cynthia Darlene Wilkinson of Burkburnett, Texas; 36 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her family included two brothers, Robert Thomas and John Henry and three sisters, Ollie May Parish, Clara Gladys Dromgoole and Ora Gertrude, all of whom preceded her in death.

Anna Mae McManus

WAURIKA - Anna Mae McManus, 82, died Saturday, May 13, 2000, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Service was Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at 10 a.m. in the Trinity Free Holiness Church in Waurika. Buddy Call officiated and Al Hunt assisted. Burial was in the Waurika Perpetual Care Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.

Anna Mae was born July 8, 1917, to Velma Fannie Hopson and Newton Layfette Houston. She was the second of ten children. She was a lifelong resident of Waurika where she attended school. She worked as a seamstress for Haggars for 20 years and also worked for Dean's Drapery for 10 years. On December 28, 1935, Anna married Aaron Truett McManus. The couple made their home in Waurika. She attended Trinity Free Holiness Church in Waurika.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Bill, Harvey and Haskell Houston, and one sister, Virgie Dewry.

Survivors include her husband - Truett, of Waurika; two sons, Billie Aaron and his wife, Shirley, of Waurika, and Charles Wayne of Austin, Texas; one daughter, Sandra Kay Morgan and her husband Tim, of Waurika; 11 grandchildren, Sheila Young and her husband, Rocky, of Iowa Park, Texas, Reca Walls and her husband, Mike, of Iowa Park, Texas, Billie Shawn of Waurika, Timothy Morgan and his wife, Misti, of Prim, Ark., Walter Morgan and his wife Shonna, of Pauls Valley, Michael Morgan and his wife Terri, of Ryan, Larry Morgan and Angela Morgan, both of Waurika, Stacy Benson and her husband Mike, of Iowa Park, Texas, Melissa Reed and her husband Billy, of Virgnia Beach, Va., Chucky McManus of Austin, Texas; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harrison Houston and his wife Nina, of Waurika, Curtis Houston and his wife Betty, of North Little Rock, Ark.; three sisters, Katy Robinson "Gavitt," of Waurika, Bertha Hawkins and her husband Hootie, of Duncan, Elizabeth Harris of Bowie, Texas.

Ruth Juanita Stout

Ruth Juanita Stout, 72, of Falfa, died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at the Choctaw Nation Indian Hospital in Talihina.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Laura-McGee Cemetery in Buffalo Valley with the Rev. Carrol Fitzgerald officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Drake-Jones Funeral Home of Talihina.

Born April 13, 1928, in Albion, she was the daughter of Allen Rose and Sarah Jane McClard. She had lived in this area all of her life. She was of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include a son, Skipper Stout of Falfa; a daughter, Janie Stout of Falfa; two sisters, Onita Maxwell of Talihina and Eula Stevens, Borger, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Stout; a daughter, Ruth Diane Stout; two brothers, Dan Rose and Arthur Sonny Stout and five sisters, Oma Stout, Helen Rose, Bessie Couch, Rebecca Rose and Dessie Rose.

Wanda Wynonah Harrison Perham

MARLOW - Service for Wanda Wynonah Harrison Perham, 77, of Oklahoma City, who died Sunday, May 28, 2000, in an Oklahoma City hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Memorial Chapel in Marlow with the Rev. Alvin McConnell officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery.

Merle E. Lawson

FORT WORTH, Texas - Merle E. Lawson, 82, of Haltom City, Texas, died Friday, May 26, 2000, in a Fort Worth hospital.

Service was at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Immanuel Baptist Church. Graveside service was at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche. Arrangements were under the direction of Mount Olivet Funeral Home in Fort Worth.

Mr. Lawson drove a truck for Kimball Milling Company for 17 years and retired from Safeway Grocery after five years of service. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Frankie of the home; a daughter, Theresa Liles of Hearne, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Doris England of Mineral Wells, Texas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jesse and Ardell Lawson of Comanche and Howard and Barbara Lawson of Duncan; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Fern Dunklin of Fort Worth and Nora Jo and James Hight of Covington; three grandsons and their spouses, Harold and Stephanie Liles and Daryl Liles, all of Bryan, Texas, and Charles England of Mineral Wells; three great-granddaughters; and a great-grandson.

Malcolm Crawford

LAWTON - Service for former Duncan resident Malcolm Crawford, 32, of Lawton who died Friday, May 26, 2000, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the New Hope Church of God in Christ with Danna Rhodes and Victor Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Jefferson Funeral Home in Lawton.

Floyd R. Crawford

LAWTON - Service for Floyd R. Crawford, 41, of Hobart who died Friday, May 26, 2000, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the New Hope Church of God in Christ with Danna Rhodes and Victor Crawford officiating. Burial, with full military honors conducted by the Masonic Lodge, will be in Highland Cemetery under the direction of Jefferson Funeral Home in Lawton.

Mabel Odessa Mundy

Mabel Odessa Mundy, 84, of Duncan, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2000, in Duncan.

Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the First United Methodist Church in Duncan with the Rev. Bob Younts and the Rev. Phil Wahl officiating. Burial, under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home, will be in Duncan Cemetery. Bearers will be Riley Suffridge, Evan Cole, Warren Suffridge, Keith Martin, Curtis Rhodes and Ronnie Walton.

The family will meet at 3406 Robert Drive in Duncan.

Mrs. Mundy was born Dec. 28, 1915, in Comanche to Henry and Vallie Spurlin Walton.

She married Abaline P. Mundy on April 23, 1937, in Duncan. They made their home in Duncan since 1944. Her husband preceded her in death on July 11, 1978.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Duncan, serving in various leadership positions of the Couples Sunday School Class and United Methodist Women. She loved her church and was very faithful. She was a member of the So Sum Club and helped with Meals on Wheels for many years. She lived at the Alterra Sterling House for the past two and one-half years.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Derald Suffridge and Donna and Clinton Cole, all of Duncan; six grandchildren and their spouses, Riley and Jenifer Suffridge of Houston, Texas, Dessa and Rod Soper of Irvine, Calif., Warren Suffridge of Astoria, N.Y., Lena and Curtis Rhodes of Midwest City, Evan and Sherri Cole of Muskogee, Julie and Keith Martin of Grove; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Doranne Walton of Duncan; two sisters-in-law, Irene Walton of Comanche and Ozelle Dickens of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother-in-law, Herman Nowell of Nocona, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Shewas preceded in death by her parents; husband; two infant grandchildren; and a brother, E.H. "Burty" Walton.

Mabel was a very loving and caring woman. A totally dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Thank you, Mother. We love you.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or Chisholm Trail Hospice.
