Our beloved Nikola Brooke Huddleston, “Nikki”, entered this world on February 12, 1969 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She left it to join the angels on January 25, 2007 also at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She made the full circle peacefully 18 days from her 38th birthday and she was surrounded by numerous friends and family. Nikki graduated from Altus High School in 1987 where she was active in the choir. She was listed in “Who’s Who in American High Schools for Special Education Students”. Being ill most of her life, she never lost her faith, and kept flashing her million dollar smile. For the last four years she was unable to walk but she continued her hobbies until just a few months ago, due to her illness. She had her own ceramic molds; she poured, cleaned, and fired her own ceramics. She painted the finished product as well. Her specialty was Native American and Cowboy figures. She also baked, decorated, and sold cakes; made beaded, and many other crafts that came along.

Nikki was very large, due to her pituitary and other brain tumors, which made many things hard for her to do. While living at Plantation Village she would design and decorate the other residents doors during the holidays - all from her wheelchair. She loved music and her favorite song, “Amazing Grace”, will be sung at the celebration of her life on Monday, January 29, 2007 at 2:00p.m.
