Lula C. Mitchell
Lula C. Mitchell, 96, of Norman,
Oklahoma died Friday, January 24, 2003 in
Norman. Funeral Services will be held at
10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, January 28, 2002 at
the Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel in
Norman. Interment will follow at Chapel
Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Services are
under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral
Home of Norman.
Mrs. Mitchell was born on March 8, 1906 in Velma,
Oklahoma to William Fred and Ellen R. Barker Arnold. She moved
to Oklahoma City, where she lived most of her adult life. She
graduated from high school and married Thomas Mitchell. She
enjoyed traveling and dining out. Lula worked for the Department
of Public Safety, Driver License Division for twenty three years. She
was a member of the Mayfair Church of Christ in Oklahoma City.
She moved to Rambling Oaks Assisted Living in Norman in
November of 1999 from Oklahoma City, Ok.
Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents; husband;
three sisters and three brothers. She is survived by a number of
nieces and nephews, including Harry Dobbins and Aza Dobbins of
Norman, Oklahoma.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army
of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

James Polk Raney
James Polk Raney, 70, of Norman, Oklahoma, died Thursday,
January 2, 2003 in Norman, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held
at 10:30 A.M., Monday, January 6, 2003 at Alameda Baptist Church
in Norman, Oklahoma with Reverend Phillip Ratliff officiating.
Graveside Services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the Greenhill
Cemetery in Lindsay, Oklahoma with full military honors.
Pallbearers will be John Black, Robert Looney, Billy Ray Pettus,
Bobby Warren, Jessie Wetherington and Jimmy Wilks. Services are
under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman,
Oklahoma.
Mr. Raney was born August 27, 1932 in Lindsay, Oklahoma,
to Bud and Halley Esther Stinnett Raney. He grew up in the Lindsay,
Oklahoma area. He served twenty-two years in the U.S. Army
achieving the rank of E-8. Mr. Raney married Mathilde Suss on June
22, 1958. They moved to Norman from Lindsay, Oklahoma in
1972. He worked for York Manufacturing in the fabrication
department for twenty-two years. Mr. Raney also worked a short time
for Norman Public Schools. He was a member of the Norman
Masonic Lodge, the Norman York Rite Bodies, the Norman
Commandery, and the Elks Lodge in Lindsay He was also a member
of the Alameda Baptist Church in Norman.
Mr. Raney was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors
include his wife, Hilde of the home; one daughter, Julie Beck and
husband, Randy of Norman, OK; one sister, Brenda Slay of Lindsay,
OK; three brothers, Floyd Raney and wife, Peggy of Maysville, OK,
Buddy Raney and wife, Helen of Norman, OK and Roy Raney of
Noble, OK; four grandchildren, Randi, Robyn, Lake and Ryan Beck;
a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to made to the trust fund for the
James Raney Grandchildren at Bank of Oklahoma at 3550 W. Main,
Norman, OK 73072.

Peggy Sue Reynolds
Peggy Sue Reynolds, 74, of
Norman, Oklahoma, died Friday, January 24,2003 in Norman. Rosary and Wake will be Monday, January 27,2003, at 7:00 p.m., at the S1. Joseph Catholic Church Parish Center Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 28,2003, at S1. Joseph Catholic Church with Reverend Edward Menasco officiating. Burial
Services will follow at 4:00 p.m., at the Greenwood Cemetery in
Eufaula, Oklahoma. Bearers will be Bob Christian, David Durant,
Joshua Smith, Isaac Christian, Matthew Larsh and Jacob Reynolds.
Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of
Norman.
Mrs. Reynolds was born March 6, 1928, in Eufaula,
Oklahoma, the only child of Stephen F. (Pete) and Pearl Pettus.
She graduated from Eufaula High School in 1946, where she was
drum major all four years, freshman football queen and president
of the student body her senior year. At her 50th reunion, she was
remembered as, "pretty, bubbly and popular". Peggy attended Gulf
Park College in Gulfport, Mississippi and the University of
Oklahoma. While at O. U., she was a member of Chi Omega
Sorority. She married Bill Reynolds on November 6, 1948. After
short stays in Amarillo, Texas and Boston, Massachusetts, Peg and
Bill established their home in Norman in 1952, where they reared
their six children. In 1967, Peg graduated with Norman's first
Licensed Practical Nursing class at Norman Municipal Hospital.
She returned to Eufaula in 1974. She married Lloyd Reavis on
December 31, 1975. They were married until October of 1987,
when Lloyd died of cancer. In March of2001, Peg returned to
Norman to be closer to her family. She resided at Rambling Oaks
Assisted Living Center, where she was loved by all. Peg was a
member of S1. Joseph
Catholic Church in Norman and S1. Paul's Catholic Church
in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Her favorite past times were spending time
with family and friends and playing bridge on the Internet with
people from all over the world. Everyone that has ever known her
heartily agrees there will never be another one like Peggy Sue.
Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her parents; three
sons; one grandson and one great-grandson. Survivors include her
children, Sue Larsh, Jana Christian and husband, Bob, Connie
Smith, Dan Reynolds and wife, Carolyn, Dana Durant and
husband, David and Mark Reynolds and wife, Leigh Ann, all of
Norman, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren, Matthew Larsh,
Jacqui (Christian) Middleton, Isaac, Michal, Ashley and Jonathan
Christian, Joshua and Sommer Smith, Brittany Bills, Jacob
Reynolds, Mandy Watson, Tyler and Blake Bassham and eleven
great -grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Oklahoma
Medical Research Foundation at 825 N. E. 13th Street, Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma 73104.

Robby Lynn Stott
Robby Lynn Stott, 73, of Purcell, Oklahoma died January
4, 2003 in Norman. Mr. Stott was born April 3, 1929 in Wichita
Falls, Texas to Joseph and Grace Dudley Stott. He served in the
U.S. Navy from September of 1945 until September of 1949 in
Aviation Ordinance. He married Alma Marie Sneddon on
November 27, 1950 in Yuma, Arizona. Robby worked in sales
for Arden Engineering for ten years. He came to Oklahoma
from Temecula, California. He lived in Goldsby, Oklahoma five
years prior to moving to Purcell in October of 2002.
Mr. Stott was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers
and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Alma of the home;
three daughters, Kathleen Hairston and husband, Jim of Alta
Loma, California, Carolyn Holmes and husband, Tracy of
Purcell, Oklahoma and Connie Stott of Temecula, California;
two sister, Jonell Powell and husband, Lloyd of Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma and Wanda Jo Chappa of Texas; three grandchildren,
Clinton Hairston, Jacob Hairston and Jennifer Plum and two
great-grandchildren James Plum and Julianna Plum.

Ronald Lee Wright
Ronald Lee Wright, 63, of Norman, Oklahoma, died
Wednesday, January 1, 2003, in Norman, Oklahoma. Funeral
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 6, 2003 at
Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Norman with Chaplain Harry
Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Blanchard Cemetery
in Blanchard, Oklahoma with full military honors. Pallbearers will
be Kevin Davis, Ray Richardson, Jerry Wright, Doug Wright II, Doug
Wright and Doug Scroggins. Services are under the direction of
Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma.
Mr. Wright was born March 3, 1939 in Cole, Oklahoma, to
Jesse Harmon and Ellie Francis Wright. He grew up in the Cole area
of Oklahoma and in Fremont, California. He joined the U.S. Air
Force in March, 1956 and served twenty years, retiring as a master
sergeant. Mr. Wright then worked for O.G.& E for eighteen years. He
married Alcenia R. Simon on July 8, 1961. He also worked for the
University of Oklahoma Continued Education Program. Mr. Wright
moved to Norman in June, 1984 from Oklahoma City, OK. He loved
to fish and garden.
Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his parents and three
brothers. Survivors include his wife, Alcenia of the home; two sons,
Doug Wright and wife, Mary of Stonewall, OK and Jerry Wright of
Oklahoma City; two daughters, Suzanne Davis and husband, Kevin
of Oklahoma City, OK and Annette Richardson and husband, Ray of
Lawton, OK; one brother, Tim Wright and wife, Teresa of Moore,
OK; eight grandchildren, Sabrina Scroggins, Samantha Wright,
Schandi Kaste, Doug Wright II, Tabatha Wright, Brandon Wright,
Scherri Kaste and Peyton Richardson; and three great-grandchildren,
Kierstin Scroggins, Kaitlin Scroggins and Blane Scroggins.
