CAROLYN V. JOHNSON

Carolyn Vonn Johnson, 35, of Tulsa died May 9, 2001 in Tulsa. She was born July 1, 1965 in Kansas City, KS to Willie and Betty (Bradley) Broussard Jr.

She married Clayton D. Johnson on Jan. 3, 1998 in Broken Arrow. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her father and a daughter, Anna Marie Johnson, on Feb. 18,1998.

Survivors include her husband of Tulsa; her mother, Betty Broussard of Okmulgee; a son, Anthony Broussard of the home; four brothers, Marcus Broussard of San Antonio, Andre Broussard of Okmulgee, Bruce Broussard of Newalla and Lamont Russell of Edmond; and two sisters, Rhonda Dicks of Okmulgee and Rita Broussard of Chicago.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home.

EVA MAE FLEMING

Eva Mae Fleming, 82, of Okmulgee passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2001 at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. She was born April 19, 1919 to Charles and Mary (Douglas) Bramble in Henryetta, OK.

She graduated from Henryetta High School May 20, 1937. She married the late Al Salsman August 8, 1939. She enjoyed sewing, reading and writing poetry.

They had four children Alvin Eldon Salsman, Daniel Francis Salsman, Ernestine Sanders and Alice Faye Miller.

She is survived by her son Dan and wife Ruby Salsman, a daughter Ernestine and her husband Lee of Owasso; a daughter Alice Faye and her husband Mickey of Ardmore, ten grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Those preceding her in death was her son, Alvin Eldon Saleman.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2001 at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Pastor Jack Shock officiating. Interment is under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel.

FRANK B. ROBERDS SR

Frank B. Roberds Sr. of Beggs, died May 10, 2001 at St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa at the age of 69. He was born April 3, 1932.

Funeral services are pending and will be announced by McClendon-Winters Funeral Home.

GOLDIE M. EVANS

Goldie Marie Evans, 85, died May 8, 2001 in Okmulgee. She was born Jan. 14, 1916 in Wewoka to Josephine (Edwards) and Commadore Sivils.

A resident of Okmulgee since 1964, she was a retired bookkeeper and a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in OKmulgee. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Otis S. Adams and second husband, A.P. Evans; one son, Don G. Adams and one grandson.

Survivors include two sons, Staney Adams and wife Alverna of Tahlequah and Jerry L. Adams and wife Mary of Katy, Texas; one daughter, Kathryn M. Foust of Beggs; one sister Maxine Lay of Morris; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren, two step-sons, Howard Evans of Okmulgee and Marvin Evans of Tulsa; and two step-daughters, Louise Ingram and Carolyn McGrew, both of Tulsa.

Services are set for Saturday, May12 at 2 p.m., at the First Freewill Baptist Church Okmulgee. Rev. Henry Stal and Rev. Ed

Jenkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery under direction of Kelley Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Chris Foust, Chris Wofford, Billy Brown and Jarrad Foust.

WILLIE EARL RUST

Willie Earl Rust, 77, a resident of Okmulgee died May 8, 2001 in Okmulgee. He was born in Panama, Okla., on Aug. 5, 1923 to Dewey F. and Nora (Bates) Rust.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the DAV and the First Assembly of God Church. He married Emma in 1960 in Okmulgee and he and his wife moved from Jenks to Okmulgee in August of 2000. His parents preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife Emma of the home; one brother, Dewey L. Rust of Stockton, Calif., and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 10 at 10a.m., at the First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Raymond Doke officiating. Burial will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery under direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home.

CARLYON A. MARTIN

Carlyon A. (Jacobs) Martin, 54, a former Morris area resident died in Tulsa on Tuesday, May 8, 2001. She was born April 19,1947 at Eram, Okla., to Bertha Hall Jacobs and Joe Jacobs Jr.

She was a retired teacher at Mitchell Elementary School in Tulsa, a member of Tulsa Classroom Teachers Association and was of the Assembly of God faith.

Survivors include her mother, Beertha Hall Jacobs of Morris; grandfather Adam Hall of Okmulgee; a son, Dustin J. Ellis Martin of Tulsa; daughter and son-in-law Kristina C. (Martin) and Ken Taylor of Skiatook; four grandchildren; a sister, Patsy Blackburn of Sand Springs and several nieces and nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her father.

Viewing will be from 2 until 8 p.m, Thursday at the Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee with family receiving family and friends from 6 until 8p.m.

Graveside services will be at 11a.m., Friday in the Lackey Cemetery at Hitchita with Moore Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.

The family suggests that contributions be made to DVIS or the Cancer Society.

ROBERT R. WADLEY SR.

Robert R. Wadley Sr., 72 of Okmulgee, died May 4, 2001 in Tulsa. He was born January 5, 1929 to Arthur and Bess (Tiddle) Wadley.

He was a Glass Worker with American Window. He was a Veteran of Foreign Wars, serving in the Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of the Dewar First Baptist Church. He was a member of the V.F.W. in Okmulgee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Bess Wadley.

He is survived by his two sons, Doug and wife Nancy Wadley of Henryetta, and Robert "Rusty" and wife Patricia Wadley of Henryetta, two brothers, Bill and wife Roseanna Wadley of Okmulgee, and Mutt Wadley of Okmulgee, two sisters, Von Reed of Okmulgee, and Vera Hurt of Okmulgee, one grandson and many loving nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Tuesday, May 8 at 2 p.m. at the Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Vance officiating.

Pallbearers will be John Hurt, Dan Reed, Jody Wadley, Billy Wadley, Bob Hurt, and John Robert Hurt.

Burial will be at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden Funeral Home.

MARY N. MCKISSICK

Mary N. McKissick, 89, of Morris died Thursday, May 3, 2001 in Okmulgee. She was born July 29,1911 in Sallisaw to J. H. and Minnie McKissick.

She lived in the Coal Pool area southwest of Haskell before moving to Morris in the late 1940's where she lived until her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.

Survivors include four brothers, Bob McKissick of Attwater, Calif., C.A. Marvin McKissick of Tulsa, Bill McKissick of Athens, Texas and Joe McKissick of Abilene,Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Monday, at 1 p.m., at the Morris Church of Christ with Jack Way and Joe McKissick officiating. Burial was in the Haskell Cemetery under direction of the Dowdy Funeral Home.

KATHY FAYE SHANNON

Kathy Faye "Burney" Shannon, 44, of Hoffman died May 5, 2001. She was born Nov. 26, 1957 at Henryetta to Joe Dean Burney and Joyce Stanton. She was preceded in death by a daughter Jennifer and a son Ricki.

Survivors include a daughter, Brandi Powell of Henryetta; a son, Michael Basham of Hoffman; her parents, J. D. and Joyce Burney of Hoffman; brothers, Ricky Burney of Wetumka and Jimmy Burney of Hoffman; sisters, Tammie Donahoo of Hoffman, Sandy McCroskey of Okmulgee and Donna Faler of Hoffman and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be at 2p.m., Wednesday, May 9 at the Hoffman Cemetery with the Rev. Floyd Rutland officiating. Services will be under direction of the Rogers Funeral Home of Henryetta.

LILLIE BELL MORROW

Lillie Bell Morrow, 91, died May 4, 2001 in New Orleans, La. She was born Aug. 31, 1910 in Smithville, Mo., to Clinton Parrish Dennis and Mary Louise Bell Dennis.

She was married to William Lester "Huddy" Morrow on Aug. 12, 1926 in Muskogee. She was employed as a retail clerk and taught Sunday School at the Okemah First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband in 1993.

Survivors include one son, Robert Morrow and wife Patty of Okmulgee; three daughters, Joyce Yates and husband Tom of Henryetta, Deanna Patty of New Orleans, La., and Connie Williamson of Oklahoma City; one sister, Mary Volk of California; 10 grandchildren;13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 7 at 2 p.m., in the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel at Okemah wth Dennis Yates officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Creek Cemetery under direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Okemah.

KHERIA LYNN SIMON

Kheria Lynn Simon, infant daughter of Taimeka D. Simon, was born and died May 2, 2001, in a Bartlesville hospital.

Survivors include the mother, a brother, Khelin Phillips, Bartlesville; maternal grandmother, Jackie Simon, Bartlesville; maternal grandfather, Lincoln Porter Jr., Arlington, TX along with numerous relatives.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 7 at 2 p.m. in the Precious Memories Chapel with Elder Oathar Todd officiating. Interment will be in the Northwest Cemetery under the direction of the House of Winn Funeral Home. The viewing period will be Monday, 9 a.m. until service time.

ROBERT R. WADLEY SR.

Robert R. Wadley Sr., 72 of Okmulgee, died May 4, 2001 in Tulsa. He was born January 5, 1929 to Arthur and Bess (Tiddle) Wadley. He was a Glass Worker with American Window. He was a Veteran of Foreign Wars, serving in the Army during the Korean War.
