PAULINE WILLIAMS SANDIFER

Pauline Williams Sandifer, a resident of Richmond, California at the time of her death, died on Tuesday, April 8, 2003. She was 82 years of age. She was born September 21, 1920.

Preceding her in death were her parents, William Morgan Williams and Cleo Masters, two brothers, Harvey Williams and Elmer Williams, and one sister, Sarah Dyer.

Survivors include one son, Jack Kolakowski and wife Lois of Okmulgee, five grandchildren, Jackie Jimerson of Buffalo, NY, Dennis and Billy Kolakowski of Tulsa, Cari Long of Henryetta and Terry Baker of Okmulgee, nine great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, three brothers, Bill Williams of Morris, Dee Williams of Checotah, and Bob Williams of Collinsville, and a great number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pauline was cared for by many cherished friends in Richmond, California, especially by McKinley Wynne and his daughter, Ethel Payne, her extended family in California consists of not only McKinley and Ethel, but Tangel Hunter, Shana Creer, Tina, Michael, and Cameron Hayes, Zariah Wiliams and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pauline worked as a furniture maker and took care of several children. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Richmond. She will be missed by everyone, but God saw fit to take her now.

Friends may visit the funeral home for viewing on Wednesday, April 16, 2003 from 12-8PM. Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 18, 2003 at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Reverend Wesley Berry officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.

Danny R. Lawson, Sr.

Danny R. Lawson, Sr., 63, a resident of Okmulgee, died Sunday, April 13, 2003 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born Wednesday, December 6, 1939 in Okmulgee to John and Goldie (Cook) Lawson. he married Janye Marie Gentery on September 2, 1975 in Sallisaw, OK.

Mr. Lawson is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Janye of the home; two sons; Danny Lawson Jr. and wife Helen of Sapulpa; Tim Lawson and wife, Jen of Ealk Grove, CA; one daughter, Diane Henderson and husband, George of Washington; two sisters, Oliva Milligan of Okmulgee and Betty Austin of Tuttle, Ok; two brothers, Kenneth Milligan and wife Betty of Okmulgee; and Esten Milligan and wife, Jill of Okmulgee; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Private Family Services will be held only.

Arrangements are made by the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home in Okmulgee.

MAXINE GANN

Maxine Alma Gann, a resident of Hayword, Califomia, formerly of Henryetta died April 8,2003 in Hayward. She was born November 26, 1919 in Monday, Texas to Mary Matilda (Lee) Franklin and Riley G. Franklin.

She was preceded in death by husband, James "Pete" W. Gann.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Hammett & Ralph of California ; two grandchildren, two great-grandsons, a brother, Claude Franklin of Henryetta; a sister, Odetta Crawley of California and numerous family members.

Services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Shurden Chapel. Burial will follow at the Dustin Cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home.

BILLY JOE MCGREW

Funeral service for former Okmulgeean Billy Joe McGrew, 60, of Needville, TX, was held on Thursday, April 10, 2003 in the chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, TX.

He was born on September 10, 1942 in Webb City, OK to Ernest Francis and Wilma Leona Alberty McGrew. He spent his younger years growing up in Okmulgee before moving to Texas. He died on April 6, 2003 in Richmond, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Wilma McGrew and one brother, Don McGrew.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Juanita Deaton McGrew and brothers, Ernest Van McGrew of The Meadows, TX; Jimmy McGrew of Sugarland, TX and sisters Mardell Van Eman of Huntsville, TX, Bernice Guthrie of Wainwright, OK and Gladys Mae Smith of Richardson, TX, and well as many loving nieces and nephews and other family members.

He was buried at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg, TX.

REBECCA SMITH

Rebecca Lynn Smith, 48, of Okmulgee, died Monday, April 14, 2003 in Tulsa. She was born on Friday, September 3, 1954 to Roy and Una Smith in Okmulgee.

She grew up in Morris and graduated from Morris High School. After graduating from Connors State College, Warner, she worked as a laboratory technician at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. She later returned to school and received a degree in sociology from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. She was a lifelong member of the Assembly of God faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; and infant son, Jeremy Jackson.

Survivors include daughter, Melissa Jackson of Okmulgee; and one sister, Bridget Beaver of Muskogee.

Services are at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 18 at the Kelley Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee with the Reverend James VanHooser officiating. Burial will follow in the Morris Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee.

Visitation is Thursday, April 17, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Pallbearers are Pete Beaver, Paul Jackson, Dean Jackson, David Jackson and Kevin Jackson.

FRED BREWER

Fred Augustus Brewer 72, a longtime Okmulgee resident, died in Tulsa on Sunday, April 13, 2U03. He was born in Beggs, Oklahoma on July 24, 1930 to Charley Franklin and Ethel Mariah (Covington) Brewer.

He attended the Baptist Church. His parents, a brother Willis Brewer and a sister Clara Macaluso preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sisters Olive Clayton and Opal Clayton both of Okmulgee, two brothers Arnold Brewer of Glenville, CA and Frank Brewer of Boonesville, AR many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, April 17, 2003 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. Burial will be in the Wilson Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11-5 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Angel Gonzalez, Mark Weekley, Matt Gonzalez, Carey Mitchell, Frank Woodward and Tony Scott.

Irma Ruby Johnson

Irma Ruby Johnson, 67, a resident of Henryetta was born December 10,1935 in, Oklahoma to Leah and Jack Davis. She died April 14, 2003 at Henryetta. She was retired from Ball Corporation in Okmulgee. She was preceded in death by parents: Jack & Leah Davis, 1 sister, Melvina Davis, 1 brother, Danny Davis.

She is survived by three sons, Maxey Dunn, Henryetta; Jody Dunn & wife Stephanie, Dewar; Lance Johnson & wife Chandra, Glenpool; one daughter, Eugenia Gaches & husband Jimmy, Coalton; 12 grandchildren and a host of friends and other relatives.

Wake services were held 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, at Shurden Chapel.

Services will be held Thursday, April 17, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Shurden Chapel officiated by Rev. Dennis Bible and Casey McIntosh. Burial will be at Tiger Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home.

HARVEY HULSE

Harvey Hulse, 71, of Henryetta, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003.

Arrangements are pending and will be announced by Shurden Funeral Home of Henryetta.

SHIRLEY WAYNE HENDERSON

Shirley Wayne (Ward) Henderson, 79, died Monday, April 14, 2003 in Okmulgee. She was born October 10, 1923 in Houston, TX. She married James M. Henderson in Houston on February 17, 1944. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She worked for Hughes Tool Company and was a stenographer.

Survivors include her husband James M. Henderson of the home in Okmulgee; four daughters, Sharon Bassarab of Woodbridge, VA, Linda Jenkins of Lincoln, NE, Candy Bernard of Santa Barbara, CA and Kim Curl of Betendorf, CA; a brother, David Wayne of Oceanside, CA; 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday, April 17, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Electra, TX with Rev. Charles Nichols officiating. Burial was at the Electra Memorial Park.

REBECCA SMITH

GRACE EALEY

Grace Ealey, 89, a long time resident of Okmulgee, died Sunday, April 13, 2003 in the local hospital. She was born Jan. 23, 1914 in Okmulgee to Calvin and Mary (Randolph) Talton.

She was homemaker.

Preceding her in death is her husband, Chauncey, her parents, and seven siblings.

Survivors include, one daughter, Wanda Williams, Okmulgee, two sisters, Madeline G. Randall and Myrtle Talton, both of Kansas City, MO; one brother, M.C. Forman, Kansas City, KS; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, two uncles and a numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A service of Memory will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the Third St. and Comanche Church of Christ, with Bro. Percy West, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of the House of Winn Funeral Home. Visitation, Friday, 12 Noon until 6 p.m.
