She came to Tulsa in the 1930's and was a businesswoman who owned and operated three locations of Esther's Beauty Shop at North Denver, North Peoria and South Main for over 50 years. She invested in Real Estate and antiques. Member of First Christian Church, American Businesswomen and Delta Rho Delta Service Organization. Preceded in death by husband, Jimmy; parents; two brothers, Ernest and Loyce Hurley; two sisters, Ruth Gibbs and Mary Cates. Survived by one brother, Charles Hurley of Clinton, AR; one sister, Kathleen Norton of Tulsa, OK; one sister-in-law, Ida Belle Hurley; eleven nieces; six nephews; several other relatives. Bob Knight
Bob Knight, 49, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2002 in Tulsa, OK. Born February 28, 1953 in Oklahoma City, OK.
He retired in 2000 as Operations Manager for UPS after 23 years of service. Member of John Calvin Presbyterian Church where he served on the Board of Deacons, Board of Trustees, and was a senior high youth sponsor. Member of Sandblasters of Tulsa Golf Club. Preceded in death by son, Kevin Knight; sister, Nancy Knight. Survived by his wife, Jane Anne Knight of Tulsa, OK; three children, Ryan Edward Knight, Laurie Anne Knight, and Michael Robert Knight, all of Tulsa, OK; one granddaughter, Alyssa Anne Knight; three sisters, Beth Patterson and husband, Joe of Stone Mountain, GA, Shirley Stafford and husband, Les of Surf City, NC, and Susan Harder and husband, Bobby of Fayetteville, AR; father, Bob Knight, Sr. and wife, Clara of Siloam Springs, AR; mother, Carolyn Knight of Siloam Springs, AR; mother and father-in- law, Mr. & Mrs. Gene Breedlove; brother-in-law, Ed Breedlove and wife, Fran; numerous nieces and nephews. Manuel Garcia
Manuel Garcia, 89, was born March 23, 1913 in Havana, Cuba,
he came to the USA in 1964. Mr. Garcia died March 5, Flower
Mound, TX. Formerly, Mr. Garcia had worked as a foreman for
the Purolater Company, Tulsa, OK. He was preceded in death by his wife: Albertina (Castro) Garcia, who passed away in 1991. Mr. Garcia is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Elena & John Bagwell of Flower Mound, TX., and 2 grandchildren: Johnnie & his wife: Jennifer Bagwell of Houston, TX., and Elena R. Bagwell now attending the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK.
Rosary will be held Wednesday evening 6:00 p.m., Moore's Rosewood Chapel, Mass, 10:00 A.M., Thursday at the Calvary
Cemetery in Tulsa, OK., Father Joe Townsend will be the celebrant. Interment at the Calvary Cemetery will follow.

Carl Peterson
Carl W. Peterson was born on April 14, 1914 in a Swedish community just outside of Valley, Nebraska. He is survived by four children; John C. Peterson, Mollie Pontious, Suzanne Burt and Marilyn McCoy all of Tulsa. Also by 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann and son Jerry.
Carl moved his family to Pasadena, CA and worked for Lockheed Aircraft during WWII. The family then moved to Tulsa in 1946 where Carl worked for American Airlines ending his career as a facility and exterior maintenance specialist.
He was a member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and was an elder in his local congregation while serving on the Tulsa Christian Missionary Society Board. Six Disciple congregations were established in Tulsa during his tenure.
He is remembered for accomplishments in Tulsa area bowling and golf, winning championships in both. He was a skilled craftsman with wood, creating many mementos for his family from doll houses to Christmas Nativity scenes.
Memorial gifts may be sent to Team Oklahoma in care of The National Kidney Foundation at 3617 N.W. 58th Suite 101, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
Services are 10 AM Thursday, graveside at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jill Mary Ann Kelly
KELLY - Jill Mary Ann Wallace, 64, died May 2, 2003, following post-stroke complications. A Canadian citizen by birth and American resident by choice, she was born June 19, 1938 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada where she spent her childhood. She graduated from Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute in Toronto, and attended the University of Western Ontario before receiving her Teaching Certificate in the Professional Education Program at Toronto Teachers’ College in 1958. She later joined American Airlines’ Toronto reservations group, where she met Kevin Arthur Kelly, whom she married July 6, 1963. Together, they moved to briefly to Peekskill, NY with American before transferring to Tulsa with the company in 1970. Jill volunteered with The Little Lighthouse and was active in The Tulsa Figure Skating Club throughout the 1970’s, co-chairing 1976’s Icetravaganza fundraiser. She went on to work in hotel management and, in 1995, earned her Oklahoma Real Estate License. A voracious reader, she also composed and played music and shared with her husband and daughters a lifelong love of small dogs with big personalities. She was exceptionally sharp-witted and highly intelligent, as was evidenced by her ability to complete the New York Times Sunday crossword puzzle in ink. Jill will be dearly missed by the many to whom she was an unfailingly loyal and devoted friend. She is preceded in death by her father John Washington Wallace in 1975, brother John Donaldson Deans Wallace in 1992 and mother Margaret Deans Bernard Wallace in 2002. She is survived by her husband of almost 40 years, Kevin; daughters Cynthia Barrett of Toronto, Ontario, Carolyn O’Connor of Kansas City, MO and Erin Kelly of Tulsa; two grandchildren, Damon and Cooper Barrett of Toronto; and 12 nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Organ Sharing Network in honor of Jill’s dear friend Christel Feirer, or to the Tulsa Assistance League in remembrance of Anne Lemming, both of whom also precede her in death. Services will be held Monday, May 5 at 2:00 pm at Kirk of the Hills under the direction of Moore’s Southlawn, 918.663.2233.

R.L. Fix
FIX - R.L. thought he could be young forever, and thrived on working 12 -14 hour days, 7 days a week. He could build or fix most anything, and loved to ride a motorcycle, play guitar, travel, call square dances and clog. He unselfishly gave himself to others until his death September 28, 2003 at 79. Born in Tulsa November 19, 1923, the first of 10 children Ruben Lee and Helen Fix, He attended Central High School and served in the CCC and in the Army during WWII and the Korean War. Because he was so good at repairing trucks and tanks, he was kept stateside rather than assigned overseas. He owned R.L. Fix Automotive, 4019 East 11th Street, almost 60 years, selling it in 2001 to longtime employee Craig Richardson. The shop retains R.L.'s name. R.L. was a pilot, fireman and ostrich farm owner. He called square dances for two decades, headed the Hi-Jinx Square Dance Club, and was a director of, and clogged with, Miscues and the Cuties, a comedy dance troupe. (He was on the front row with overalls on backwards). Preceded in death by son Randy, R.L. is survived by wife Doloris, son Robert and Carol Fix of Claremore; 2 brothers, Robert Fix of Tulsa and Charles and Dorothy Fix of Vancouver, WA; 7 sisters, Maxine and Al Harmon, Cathryn and Bill Burnett, Barbara and Augustine Ruiz, Betty Cervantez, Sue and Pete Nourse and Georgia Fix, All of Tulsa, and Patricia and Russell Silkey of Glendora, CA.; grandsons Jeffery and Steven of Claremore, granddaughter Stacie Freitas, husband Jay and Children Mickey and Jonny of Tulsa. Also Delores? son Randy Acree, wife Dawn, and daughter Madison of Tulsa; Delores' daughter Kathy Black of Boynton, and daughter Julie and husband Mike Blackwood of Fort Collins, CO. Memorial service at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, October 1, 2003, at the John Calvin Presbyterian Church, 8181 East 31st Street with Rev. Ted Foote officiating. For donations there will be and R.L. Fix memorial at John Calvin Presbyterian Church or to your favorite charity.

J. LaVern Flint
J. LaVern Flint, age 72 years, 11 months, and 29 days, was called home to the Lord November 6, 2003 in Tulsa, OK. She was born November 8, 1930 in Claremore, OK to Jewel Dawson and Cora Leona (Massey) Seals. She was a retired purchasing agent for Tulsa Public Schools and member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. LaVern was preceded in death by: husband L. Dugan Flint, daughter-in-law Amber Flint, and brothers Harold Lee Seals and J.D. Seals, Jr. She is survived by: daughter Karen Stafford and son-in-law Dale, son Kevin Flint, grandchildren Naomi Baker, Matt and Sarah Stafford, Jennafer Walenciak, and Shannon Williamson, sister Rose Wallis and brother-in-law Raymond, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of loved ones. Services will be held 1PM Monday, November 10, 2003 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, OK. David Wilfong
David Gene Wilfong, Sr. entered life 3/27/59 entered into rest 11/13/03. He was born in Tulsa, Ok. on March 27, 1959. David made Tulsa his home. His parents were Richard and Bonnie Lou Wilfong. David is survived by his older sister, Candace Wilfong and brother Richard Wilfong. He is preceded in death by his parents and sibling Linda Wilfong. David is survived by his wife, Deborah J. Wilfong and sons, David Wilfong, Jr. and David Wilfong III. He has 2 grandchildren Zalee Mae Brewer and Noah James Wilfong.He is also survived by a sister, Marita Sarver. Sgt. Donald James Stevens (ret) of New York, passed away late in the evening of August 4, 2004 at his home on the lower east side, surrounded by family and friends.
A former councilman and elder at the First Baptist Church, Donald was always active in the community whether it be working on a political campaign, volunteering at the homeless shelter, or through the local Lyons Club.
Donald leaves behind a daughter Stephanie Stevens, a son Donald A. Stevens, and 6 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years Norma Whitfield Stevens.
Donald was born in Salem, Oregon on April 12, 1923 to Emma Jane Stevens and Alfred Stevens. Donald's father Alfred was a Captain in the navy and Donald spent much of his youth overseas. The family returned to Salem in when Donald was 16, where he graduated from Salem High School in 1941.
Donald enlisted in the Marines in 1941 and served Honorably in WWII and was a veteran of the Normandy invasion. Donald Retired from the Marine Corps in 1960 and opened a hardware/hobby shop in New York City. It was in New York where Donald met his wife Norma, and where they raised their family.

Lavine Pitts, Jr.
March 15, 1930 - April 20, 2013
Pitts, Lavine Jr., 83, longtime Tulsa automobile dealer, passed away Saturday April 20, 2013. Lavine was born March 15, 1930, to Lavine & Chloe (Howerton) Pitts. Lavine was a 1948 Graduate of Will Rogers High School. He attended OU on an Athletic Scholarship (baseball & basketball). By 1960 he owned and operated his own GM dealership in Nowata.
He later returned to Tulsa opening Pitts Motor Co. on S. Memorial continuing his legacy over 60 years. Lavine was known for his quiet, kind manner, integrity, sense of humor,and love for family.
Lavine is survived by: daughter Debbie Geisler, her husband, Steve, Big Cabin, Ok; son Ron Pitts, his wife, Kathy, Tulsa, Ok; grandchildren Mandy, Jenny, her husband, David, and Chet, his wife Caroline; great grandchildren Max, Maddox & Macie; brother Lee Ivan Pitts, his wife, Barbara, Grove, Ok. Lavine was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marcy & great granddaughter, Abby Dunham.

King, Addie Maxine, 86, of Tulsa passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013. She was born November 10, 1926 in Urania, LA to Mark and Leota Dean. She retired from Sears after 32 years as a credit clerk. Survived by nieces Sherry Guadagnino and her husband Guy of Tulsa, OK, Denise Smith-Wood of Slick, Ok, Janice Martin and her husband David of Broken Arrow, Ok, grand niece Jessie Smith of Kellyville, Ok, grand nephew Andrew Dale of Midland, TX, brothers in law Harold Taylor of Tulsa, OK, Robert Gabbard of Tulsa, OK. Graveside service 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2013, Floral Haven Cemetery. Under the direction of Moore’s Eastlawn Chapel.

Monetta Delores Johnson Trepp
Monetta Delores Johnson Trepp, 89, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 in Tulsa, OK. Monetta was born November 5,1923, in Evanston, Illinois; the daughter of Edith Monetta Perryman Johnson of Jenks and Emmet Robert Johnson of Davenport, Iowa, a veteran of World War I. Monetta graduated from Classen High School in Oklahoma City and Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College (now OSU) in Stillwater, spending her summers on her grandparents ranch in Jenks.
She married John Wallace Trepp, Sr., of Oklahoma City on May 30,1948, and they moved to Tulsa in 1950. She was active in Tulsa civic affairs, including John Knox Presbyterian Church, the Tulsa Boys Home, and the Tulsa Public Libraries. She was a founding member of the American Indian Theatre Company of Oklahoma, the Tulsa Indian Art Festival, the National Indian Monument and Institute, and the American Indian Arts Association.
She is survived by sons Robert, Wally, and Tom and wife, Kay; grandchildren, Justin and wife, Kim, Rhiannon, and Lance; and by great-grandchildren, Lexey, Gavin, Trustin, and Sean, Tyler and Chance.
Monetta (Mvnettv) means "new day" in Muscogee.
She was a proud member of the Beaver Clan of Loca'pokv Talse tribal town, and was proud of her ancestors, who included:
* her grandfather, Mose Perryman, who served in the Muscogee Nation House of Warriors.
* her great-grandparents, George Perryman, who signed Tulsa's original municipal charter in 1898, and Rachel Perryman, who raised many nephews and nieces and other orphans at her home in Brookside. George's brother Legus Perryman was Principal Chief of the Muscogee Nation, and his brother Josiah Perryman was Tulsa's first postmaster.
* her great-great-grandfather, Alexander, who died fighting for the confederacy in the U.S. Civil War, and his wife, Hanna.
• her great-great-grandfather, Lewis Perryman, who established the first store at Loca'pokv long before it grew into the town of Tulsa.
• her great-great-great-grandfather, Benjamin Perryman, who was Second Chief of the Lower Creeks after removal from Alabama and signed the 1833 Treaty between the USA and the Muscogee Nations.
• her great-great-great-great-grandfather, Takosv Haco, who signed the 1796 Treaty between the USA and the Muscogee Nation.
Visitation will be 6-8 P.m., Monday, April 29, 2013 at Moore’s Southlawn.
Memorial Service will be 4:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at John Knox Presbyterian Church.

Ann (Anna Faye) Voris
Ann (Anna Faye) Voris, 87, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by her husband and two daughters. Ann was born August 29, 1926 in Glenwood, AR. She graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1948 and worked in Hope, AR and Shreveport, LA before marrying Dick Voris of Davenport, IA. The rest of her life was devoted to loving well her husband, her family, her friends and her church. She was an active member in her community and loved to cook, entertain, volunteer and serve. She will be best remembered for how she mentored and loved all those she came in contact with. She was a 40 year member of First Baptist Church and also enjoyed attending First Presbyterian Church with her husband. The family is especially grateful for the care and concern shown by the Body of Christ throughout these days.
Ann is survived by: her husband of 57 years, Dick Voris; her two daughters, Sandra Brown (Wayne) of Colorado Springs, CO and Susan Atkinson (Chuck) of Arkadelphia, AR; one sister, Kathy Harn (Lee) of Houston, TX; one brother-in-law, Hugh Brown of Little Rock, AR; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and many other extended family members. She is preceded in death by: her parents, Homer Edgar and Faye E. Thrash; and one sister, Viva Ed Brown.

Granvel Willie Coker
Granvel Willie Coker, 88, of Tulsa, went to meet his Heavenly Father on Friday, July 5. His great loves in life were his wife, Beverly of 47 years, his church, baseball and visiting with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Guy Coker and Edna Willa Coker and a son, Guy G. Coker.
Born in Oklahoma City and raised in Bartlesville and Ramona on a farm, he had a great love for the country lifestyle. Visits to the farm and picnics are etched in his family's memory.
He attended Tulsa University and settled in Tulsa, where he raised his family.
Also know as "Granny" and "GW", he was a Mason of the 32nd Degree, a beloved baseball coach and avid fan. Many a family vacation were spent traveling to baseball games on the college and professional levels. Granvel worked in the food industry for his entire career. He was well known and loved by many in his industry, serving many years with General Mills and American Beauty, then retiring with Pillsbury. Every Sprout and Dough-boy will be vivid reminders of him to his children and grandchidlren, whom each have some memorabilia displayed in their homes. Granvel was a beloved husband, father of 5, grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of 13. He leaves behind his wife Beverly Louise Coker, son Gary Steven Coker, Sr, and wife Linda of Tulsa, son Gregg Allen Coker and wife Connie of Locus Grove, daughter Virginia Gay Dippel and husband Greg of Sunrise Beach, Texas, daughter Jamie Louise Roberts of Broken Arrow and son James D. Gannaway and wife Valerie of Denver, North Carolina.

Walter W. Weber, 92 of Tulsa passed away July 5, 2013.
He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. He retired as an airline inspector for American Airlines. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen and 2nd wife Eloise. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law; Donn and Grace Weber, Terry and Nancy Weber; daughter and son-in-law, Cherie and Bill Britton; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. Silva Mary Louise, 86 of Tulsa passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013. She was born February 28, 1927 in Miami, OK to John and Grace Hall. Resident of Bartlesville, OK from 1931 until 1989. She retired from McKinney’ store in Bartlesville after a lifetime of sales service and administration. Survived by son Pete Silva and his wife Sherry, sister Carole J. Dillingham, step brother John H. Dillingham, many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband Pete Silva and son Steven Silva. Service 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 10, 2013, Mason Chapel at Asbury United Methodist Church, interment 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, White Rose Cemetery, Bartlesville, OK.
