SANDOVAL -- Mrs. Maria Guadalupe, in Loving Memory. Died March 28, 2005, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She was born December 13, 1930, in Zacatecas, Mexico, to Antonia Luera and Refujio Sandoval. She was married to Jose Guadalupe Gonzalez in 1947. They lived happily for the next 44 years until 1992, when Mr. Gonzalez passed away. After that she came to the United States to spend time with sons, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She lived in Chicago, Texas, California and stayed to live in Tulsa, OK, where she lived the last 6 years of her life. She loved and enjoyed having her sons, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren all together. She loved for all her family to come and visit at home, where she always used her famous phrase: "Los Esperamos Con Los Brazos Abiertos." (My arms are always open to you). She is survived by: her children, MaDe Jesus Gonzalez and Jose Gomez, Zacatecas, Mexico, Alicia and Jose Sigala, Tulsa, OK, Maria and Rosario Saldivar, Midland, TX, Salvador and Yolanda Gonzalez, Chicago, IL, Pedro and Dulce Gonzalez, Tulsa, OK, Rigoberto and Irma Gonzalez, Tulsa, OK, Elena Gonzalez, Tulsa, OK, Rosa and Irineo Gonzalez, Tulsa, OK, Daniel and Elizabeth Gonzalez, Midland, TX, and Juan

Orwig
ORWIG -- Lowell Alan, was born September 13, 1952 in Tulsa, OK and left this life on April 12, 2005. He lived his entire life in Tulsa and graduated from Will Rogers High School. He was an Offset Printer by trade. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Orwig, Sr. Survived by: mother, Vlasta Orwig; 1 daughter, Ashley Orwig; 5 brothers, Curtis and Pam Orwig of Nampa, ID, Dennis Orwig of Boise, ID, Lester and Paula Orwig of Talala, OK, James Orwig of Sperry, OK and David and Bedia Orwig of Tulsa. His 18 year old daughter was his whole life. Graveside service will be 2 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2005 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulsa. Under the direction of Collinsville Funeral Home, 371-2111.

SCOTT -- Robert "Bob" Carson, 76, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2005 in Tulsa, OK. Born February 7, 1929 in Cisco, TX to Robert and Annie Laurie Scott. Served in the Army Air Corps. Graduate of Baylor University with a degree in Accounting. He had been a Deacon and was a current member of Living Oaks Baptist Church. Retired in 1984 after 33 years service with Amoco. Preceded in death by: his parents; and sister, Betty Swindle. Survived by: his wife, Doris Scott of the home; daughters, Carol Bloodworth and husband, Tracy of Castlerock, CO and Beverly Gould and husband, Scott of Keller, TX; grandchildren, Stephanie, Andrew, Elizabeth, and Ryan Bloodworth, and Shannon and Cameron Gould; sister, Kathryn Riebe and husband, Jim of Weatherford, TX. Wasson
WASSON -- Hershel Leroy, was born on November 19, 1917 in Mannford, OK, and went to his Heavenly home on April 9, 2005. He was a Welder by trade and loved traveling, fishing, sports and especially horseracing. Hershel was very skillful at dominoes and card games. He was proud of his Mannford roots and was an eager storyteller of the early days in Mannford. Hershel's wonderful sense of humor and friendly personality will be greatly missed by his many friends and relatives in the Mannford area, especially the staff and residents of Cimarron Pointe Care Center, his home since 2001. The family wishes to thank Hershel's extended family at Cimarron Pointe, Dr. Michael Eimen and Marlene Bass, for their excellent medical care, and who with Sojourn Care of Tulsa, their compassionate hospice services will never be forgotten. He is survived by: his daughter, Patricia Wasson Cobb of Tulsa; sons, Leroy Wasson, and Gary Wasson of Tulsa, and Hershel Lamont Spencer of Watauga, TX; sons-in-law, Edward Raper of Sapulpa, and Patrick Cobb of Tulsa; grandsons, Aaron, Alex, and Austin Cobb of Tulsa, and Jeffrey Oman of Nashville, TN. Hershel was preceded in death by: his wife, Grace Wasson; daughter, Dee J. Raper; and parents, Herbert Lee Wasson and Elsie Mae Colberg Wasson. Feagins
FEAGINS -- Joyce Kay, of Kingfisher, OK, "a Proverbs wife," nurturing mother and loving grandmother, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2005, at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital. Service will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2005, at the First United Methodist Church in Kingfisher, with Rev. Darryl Owen officiating. Burial will follow in the Kingfisher Cemetery, under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service. Joyce was born July 23, 1936, in Kingfisher, OK, to Kenneth Ray Hill and Velma (Hubbard) Hill. She graduated from Kingfisher High School where she was a twirler in the band and Class Queen. After high school she attended Oklahoma State University, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority. She graduated from OSU with a Bachelor's degree in Home Economics on May 25, 1958. The next day she married her husband of almost 47 years, Tom L. Feagins of Ponca City, OK, in the Kingfisher First United Methodist Church. Other than a brief period in Texas, from 1958 to 1965, Joyce lived her entire life in Kingfisher. She was well-known for her Christian values, virtue and example. She was a highly respected member of her church, where she was active in the United Methodist Women and Circle III. Joyce's faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she lived by the Golden Rule. Family and friends fondly remember her warm smile, never saying an unkind word, and her humble-servant disposition. She was preceded in death by her parents and baby brother. Survivors include her husband, Tom; 2 sons, Tom B. Feagins and wife, Ann of Edmond, OK, Ken Feagins and wife, Olivia of Norman, OK; 7 grandchildren; and 1 sister, Janet Rae Hill of Enchante, Mexico. Disch
DISCH -- Ruth Elaine Searle, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 14, 2005 in Tulsa, OK after an extended illness. Born October 14, 1923 in Ramona, OK to Harry and Velda Searle, she graduated from Vera High School, 1942. She attended college in Haviland, KS, and the University of Colorado, Denver. Ruth was employed by Douglas Aircraft during WWII but spent most of her years as a Homemaker. Loved by family and friends, Ruth was a skillful pianist, seamstress, and an expert at needle work. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert Morris Disch, Tulsa; 2 daughters, Marilyn Penner and husband, Dennis, Ingalls, KS, and Janice Sherrod, Norman, OK; 2 sons, David M. Disch and wife, Judy, Tulsa, and Bill Disch and wife, Cassie, Arlington, TX; a brother, Joseph Ward Searle and wife, Vera, Albany, GA; a sister, Mary Lee Smith and husband, Virgle, Skiatook, OK; 8 grandchildren, Michelle Ediger, Tammy Regier, Kristy Penner, Jeff Penner, Andrea Sherrod, Scott Sherrod, David R. Disch, Sarah Disch; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Searle, Oregon. Dougan
DOUGAN -- Norma Jean, 77, died Monday, April 11, 2005. She was born February 3, 1928 in Cleveland, OK, to John Walter Duggan and Mamie Charlotte Cole Duggan. Norma graduated Salutatorian at Cleveland High School, Cleveland, OK in 1945. Having graduated business school, she worked many years as an Administrative Assistant for several companies, including Brown-Dunkin and Carpet City. Most recently she was a Manufacturer's Representative. Her loves were her family, animals, and shopping. Surviving family members include her husband of 30 years, Bill Dougan of Sand Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Brad Bartman, Sand Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Donna Giles, Santa Barbara, CA; 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-granddaughters; also her kitties, Leroy and Kasper. Preceded in death by her parents and her brother. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to The American Cancer Society, Animal Aid of Tulsa, and Parent-Child Center of Tulsa. Hayes
HAYES -- James Stewart, Jr., of Tulsa. Born August 31, 1912, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, and left this world April 14, 2005. Stewart, as he was known to all, was brought to the USA by his parents, James and Margaret Hayes. He spent the majority of his life in Jersey City, NJ and Natick, MA. He was employed as a Color Chemist by International Printing Inks of Cambridge, MA for more than 40 years until his retirement in 1974. Stewart married Eleanor D. Patton in 1941 and they had 2 children, Nancy Laughrey of Tulsa, OK and Jim Hayes of Kailua, HI. Stewart is survived by his children, and brother, Douglas Hayes of Massapequa Park, NY. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Ian B. and Craig D. Laughrey; and 1 great-grandson, Colin J. Laughrey, all of Oklahoma. Stewart served bravely for 3 years with the U.S. Fifth Army during World War II in Africa, Italy, and France. In 1994, Stewart and his wife, Eleanor moved to Tulsa, OK to be near their daughter's family. Stewart and Eleanor were married for 64 wonderful years. Eleanor preceded him in death on April 7, 2005. McNeer
McNEER -- James William, died on Thursday, April 14, 2005, succumbing to a short illness after a valiant 30 year battle with Parkinson's disease. He was 80 years old and died peacefully with family and friends at his bedside at the Zarrow Manor in Tulsa, OK. He was born on August 30, 1924 in Williamson, WV, the second of three sons, to Richard Mason McNeer and Bertie Mae Sparks McNeer. As a boy, he was an accomplished Boy Scout and earned the Eagle Scout with Gold Palm, the highest honor in scouting. He graduated from Williamson High School and was voted "most likely to succeed." He matriculated at the University of Pennsylvania where he studied applied mathematics until he enlisted in the Army to serve his country in World War II. He received several decorations while in Guam and Okinawa and returned to West Virginia to marry his high school sweetheart, Clara May Maynard, on November 23, 1944. When he returned from the War, he completed his undergraduate education and received his Bachelor's degree in Geography from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. He spent his career in the minerals industry and served as a Quality Control Inspector for the International Nickel Company in West Virginia, and District Manager for the Princess Coal Company in Ohio and Illinois. Jim had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved golf, classical music, fine arts and was an excellent tennis player when he was younger. Clara and Jim celebrated their diamond (60 year) wedding anniversary last year. They raised 2 accomplished and loving sons, Robert William McNeer and James Frederick McNeer. Jim spent the last ten years of his life with his beloved wife, Clara in Tulsa, where he made many close friends. He was an active member of the Elks Lodge in Tulsa. He stated before he died that he wanted to be remembered as a "gentle man." In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his 2 brothers, Richard Mason McNeer of Montpelier, VT and Charles Seldon McNeer of Milwaukee, WI; his brother-in-law, James Comfort Maynard of Charlotte, NC; his son, Bill McNeer whose family includes wife, Sue Ann McNeer and sons, Andrew William McNeer, Reagan Michael McNeer, and Connor Pena McNeer; his son, Fred McNeer whose family includes wife, Carol McNeer and daughters, Trisha Chilcott McNeer Jones and Meghan Catherine Amrine McNeer; 5 nephews;and 8 great-nieces and nephews. Jim was especially proud of his namesake, great-nephew, James Mason McNeer. He was predeceased by his parents; his grandson, Bradley Curtis McNeer; and his niece, Suzanne McNeer Rose. He asked that donations in memory of his beloved grandson, Brad be sent to the Bradley McNeer Memorial Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1626, Midlothian, VA 23113. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at Holy Family Cathedral with Father Thomas Carpender officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Peevy
PEEVY -- Erin, 32, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 14, 2005. Erin was a remarkable young man, the oldest known survivor of Alexander's Disease. He was a joy and inspiration to all who knew him. He lived a miracle life of courage surrounded for 3 decades in the loving embrace of family, friends and care givers. Erin's laughter and bright eyes will be missed by all who knew him. Erin is survived by his mother, Judy Peevy of Broken Arrow, OK; his father, Dickie Peevy of Tulsa, OK; his sister, Dr. Jill Norris-Elrod of Tulsa, OK; his brother, Craig Peevy of Tulsa, OK; his niece, Bailey White of Tulsa, OK; his grandfather, Fayette Peevy of Dyer, AR; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. The family expresses thanks to Dr. James Beymer and the magnificent ICU staff at Southcrest Hospital. In the last weeks of Erin's life, he and the family received unfailing spiritual support from Father Patrick Douthitt of St. Luke's. "The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26. Pollard
POLLARD -- Leotta M., passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe. Leotta worked in serving the Lord as an active member of the Church of Christ. Friends loved her for lending a helping hand and praying for those in need. Leotta was a wonderful mother/grandmother, keeping the family well-fed and with a happy home. She was an accomplished Avon saleswoman of 30 years. She is survived by her 5 children, David, Ronda, Ruth, Mark and Rita; their spouses; and her 14 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Leotta touched lives in a special way. Funeral service is Saturday, April 16, 2005 at 1 p.m. at 29th and Yale Church of Christ. York
YORK -- Lena. Born Magdalena Achtymichuk on a homestead farm near Stornoway Saskatchewan, Canada, June 20, 1907. Her parents, Kost Achtymichuk and Anastasia Matechuk, emigrated from the Ukraine in 1901. She was the youngest of 11 children, and the last survivor of her immediate family. She married Conant Ferrin Gilmore in 1921 and bore him 4 children, all boys. The first son, Richard Millard (now deceased), then William James, Robert Ferrin, and Kenneth Douglas, the last three still surviving. She confessed the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized at the Moody Bible Church in Chicago, IL in 1921. After following her husband through several occupations in many states, she settled with her in-laws, Hibbert Watson and Catherine Eliza Gilmore in Sand Springs, OK, where she and her husband later divorced. She met and married Thomas D. York and bore him a daughter, Georgia Lee, who now lives in Fresno, CA. The Yorks lived in Sand Springs for several years and then bought a home in Broken Arrow, OK, where they resided until her husband's death. She was a gentle, loving, vibrant, out-going, caring person who always made friends, and always manifested the love of Christ wherever she went. She passed from this life into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ at 5:30 a.m., April 13, 2005 at the age of 97 years, 9 months and 21 days, leaving many friends, relatives and acquaintances, who are saddened at her passing, and will miss her greatly, but are joyful at the thought of her presence with the Lord. The family extends its heartfelt appreciation to the wonderful staff of Evergreen Care Center in Owasso for their care and kindness to Lena. The family will receive friends at the funeral home. Service will be Monday, April 18, 2005 at 10 a.m. at the Butler-Stumpff Funeral Home, Tulsa, OK, 587-7000.

Daniel
DANIEL -- Margaret Anne, 81, died peacefully on April 6, 2005 at her home. She was born to Charles and Ruth Beibel in Oklahoma City on February 13, 1924. Anne graduated from Classen High School in 1942 and shortly thereafter joined the Women's Army Auxiliary Corp. Her first military assignment was at Love Field in Dallas, TX where she met her husband, Donald Daniel, who was also on assignment there. They married on January 3, 1945 in Great Neck Long Island, NY. Following their military service during WWII, Anne and Don settled in Dallas. After a successful experience breeding and showing Cocker Spaniels, Anne and Don began their own family. They had three children. In 1962, Don's work with American Airlines brought the family to Tulsa. Anne worked for Safeway for 10 years before retiring in 1982. Anne had a passion for life and a variety of talents and interests. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her family, sewing for her grandchildren, and tap dancing. In 1992, at the age of 68, Anne joined "The Happy Hoofers." For the next 10 years, she performed for many benefit shows, including "The Red Glove Revue." In competition, she placed first with her dance partner, Pat Tast, at The Rainbow Connection National Dance Competition in Las Vegas in 1993. Anne was also very active in the Sewing Guild and the Red Hat Society. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death in December, 2004 by her husband of nearly 60 years, Donald Daniel. She is survived by her daughter, Dana Murdter and her children, Jessica, Jeff and Joe; her son, Damon Daniel, his wife, Dak and their son, Robin; and her son, Dee, his wife, Sherri and their daughters, Krissy and Kelly. A celebration of Anne's life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at 2 p.m. at The Cremation Society Chapel, 2103 E. Third Street. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to the charity of your choice.

Gordy
GORDY -- Virginia Louise, went to her Saviour on April 15, 2005 after a long illness. She was born September 21, 1925 to Robert and Euna Armstrong in Washington County, AR. Preceded in death by her husband, Frank in 1991; sister, Bobbie Thomasson; her parents. Survived by son, Frank C. Gordy Jr., his wife, Susie and their four children; her sister, Clorine Carnahan and husband, Gene; four nieces and nephews and their eight children. Virginia retired from Hillcrest Hospital and co-founded and served as Vice-President of Medical Management Consultants, Inc. until her illness. Visitation at Moore's Eastlawn through Sunday. Interment will be in Prairie Grove, AR on April 18, 2005 after graveside service at 2 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on April 19 at Grace Family Church, 3615 W. 51st St., Tulsa. GREEN -- Omer Franklin, 84, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2005, in Tulsa, OK. Born July 20, 1920 in McAlester, OK to Austin and Alice Green. Retired Accountant for Med-X Drug Stores. Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps. He attended the First Baptist Church in Jenks, OK. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, O.C.; sister, Willa Dean. Survived by his wife, Kathleen of the home; daughter, Carolyn Wilson of Tulsa, OK; grandson, David Ryan Wilson and wife, Lindsay of Tulsa, OK; granddaughter, Dawn Gilstrap and husband, John of Oklahoma City, OK; one great-granddaughter, Sarah Gil strap; one brother, Gene Green and his wife, Mildred of Meeker, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, April 17, 2005. Service will be 2:30 p.m., Monday, April 18, 2005, at Moore's Southlawn Chapel with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. HUTCHINSON -- Lena Mildred. Mrs. Hutchinson was born January 1, 1913 in Yarnaby, OK to Robert and Leona Bedwell. She died April 15, 2005 at her home in Bixby, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. Hutchinson; and 3 grandchildren, Terry Hutchinson, Tim Hutchinson and Ronda Hutchinson. She is survived by her sons, Jim and Maxine Hutchinson of Kinder, LA, Gayle and Connie Hutchinson of Bixby, OK, Ronnie and Barbara Hutchinson of Owasso, OK; and daughter, Sherry Fairchild of Nashville, TN; 10 grandchildren, Jimmy Dean Hutchinson, Mike Hutchinson, Darla Hutchinson, Kevin Hutchinson, Tanya Brock, Keenan Dixon, Karrie Dulin, Kimberly Thompson, Rene Hutchinson and Max Hutchinson; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Service will be 10 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2005 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel with interment at Memorial Park Cemetery. Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 663-2233.
