Services for Tanna R. Stone Sanders, 59, Davis were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2000 at Fox Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Chapman officiating. Interment was in the Green Hill Cemetery, Davis with Fox Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Sanders was born July 6, 1940 in Davis to Chester Stone and Pearl Cox Whatley. She died June 5, 2000 in Davis.
Mrs. Saunders was employed at Burford Manor Nursing Home. She graduated from Davis H.S. She lived in Amarillo, Texas from 1987-1998.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Calvin Stone.
She is survived by one daughter, Kelly Sanders Danyeur, Davis; one son, Andrew Brian Sanders, Davis; three grandchildren, Kristopher, Colton and Casey; five sisters, Wiltse Armstrong, Harrison, Mich.; Portia Warren, Davis; Lanna Jones, Wynnewood; Dixie Finley, Moore;Charlotte Hess, Chickasha; one brother, Billy Whatley, Davis.
Pallbearers, Karl Armstrong, Billy Whatley, Bill Warren, Toby Bridenstien, Dick Jones and Jerry Hess.

John Wesley Crowe
Graveside Services for John Wesley Crowe, 31, Norman were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2000 at Oaklawn Cemetery with Rev. James Swain officiating. Services were under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
John was born Friday, Feb. 7, 1969 in Indianapolis IN. to Mary Louise Crowe. He died Sunday, May 28, 2000 in Oklahoma City.
On Sept. 12, 1992 he married Crystal Richard in Montgomery Co, Texas.
John grew up in Texas. Attended school in Conroe, Texas and had lived in Norman the past two years. He worked at Aunt Annies Pretzel in the Norman Mall.
He is survived by his wife, Crystal Crowe; two daughters, Shelby Crowe and Brooklyn Crowe; one son, Aaron Wesley Crowe all of Conroe, Texas; one brother, William Crowe, Indianapolis, IN.

Donald Wesley Aaron
Services for Donald Wesley Aaron, 55, Davis were held at Krien Funeral Home Chapel, Davis with Pastor James Densman and Pastor Max Alexander officiating. Interment was in the Green Hill Cemetery, Davis with Krien Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Aaron was born March 16, 1945 in Shamrock, Texas to W.W. (Jack) Aaron and Mildred (Brashears) Aaron. He died Aug. 12, 2000 at Burford Manor Nursing Home, Davis.
Mr. Aaron graduated from West Texas State University in Canyon, Texas. He moved to Amarillo then to Houston where he lived for 23 years. He moved to Garr Corner in Pontotoc Co. and to Davis in 1998. He worked as a sales representative for Rock Island in Houston and sold Real Estate. He served six years in the National Guard. His Bachelor of Science Degree was from West Texas State University and his Masters Degree in business administration from the University of Houston at Clear Lake City. He was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his mother, Mildred (Brashears) Aaron, Davis; one son, D.W. Aaron, Jr., Nevada; one daughter, Tiffany Dawn Aaron, Amarillo.
He was preceded in death by his father, W.W. (Jack) Aaron, in 1989.
Pallbearers were Melvin Watts, Ralph Coppenbarger, Guy Hershel Aaron, Buck Wilson, Gerry Lee Aaron and Doug Harrison.

Vernon Walker
Services for Vernon Walker, 76, Ada, were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Aug.14, 2000 at Criswell Chapel with Revs. Austin Joliff, Charles Tennison and Tom Bauer officiating. Interment was in the Rosedale Cemetery with Criswell Funeral Home, Ada, in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Walker was born Jan. 24, 1924 to William Taylor Walker and Ursula Robeson Walker. He died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000 at Allen Nursing Home.
On Sept. 27, 1942 he married Virginia Faye Self.
Mr. Walker came to the Ada area in 1949 from Sulphur. He retired from Keebler Co. in 1973 and B & B Oil Co. in 1992. He was a member of the Byng Assembly of God Church, where he served as deacon, Sunday school supt., Sunday school teacher, and song leader.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia, of the home; three daughters, Carolyn Scates, Conway, AK.; Barbara Tyler, Purcell and Sharon Farmer, Ada.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Michael Phillips, Darren Scates, Damon Scates, Jay Scates and Ryan Farmer and sons-in-law, Jewell Scates, Jack Tyler and Joe Farmer.
Honorary pallbearers were Luther Brown, Quentin Hall, Leroy Passmore, Coy Tugman and Ben Walker.

Edith Haney
Edith Haney, 74, Flour Bluff, Texas will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday Aug. 18, 2000 at the Lagarto Community Church with Interment to follow in the Lagarto Cemetery. Dobie Funeral Home, Mathis, Texas is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Haney was born March 5, 1926 in Dougherty. She had lived in Flour Bluff for the past year and was a resident of Lagarto, Texas for 30 years. She was a retired salesperson for White's Auto Store in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Mrs. Haney is survived by her husband, Earl Haney, of 58 years, of Flour Bluff, Texas; one daughter, Elane (Carol Dean) Jones, Flour Bluff, Texas; one son, Richard (Ogie) Haney, Alice, Texas; two sisters, Geneva Reagan, Brownsville, Texas and Helen Kahlor, Sulphur; three grandchildren, Michael Jones and Shelley (David) Ellerd, both of Corpus Christi, Texas and Kristofer Haney, Alice, Texas; two great grandchildren, Lula Jones Ellerd and Phillip Quinn Ellerd, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; one brother-in-law, Vernon (Laverne) Haney, Mathis, Texas.

Mary Francis Haney
Services for Mary Francis Haney, 61, Mill Creek were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001 at Pentecostal Holiness Church, Mill Creek with Rev. Jerry George officiating. Interment was in the Troy Cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Tishomingo.
Mrs. Haney was born May 8, 1939 in Talihina to Frank and Myrtle Samis. She died Jan. 22, 2001 in Oklahoma City.
Mrs. Haney loved spending time with her family, cooking and sewing. She was employed at Hill Crest Nursing Home.
Mrs. Haney is survived by three sons, Tommy Lowell Haney, Reagan, Robert Dean Haney, Mill Creek and Bobby Edward Haney, Tishomingo; two daughters, Wilma Haney, and Thelma Lou Elrod, both of Mill Creek; four brothers, Wayland Samis, Cache, John Samis, Mill Creek, George Samis, Sulphur and Harold Samis, Mill Creek; one sister, Azelle Vaughn, Mill Creek; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Myrtle Samis; one sister, Dorothy Martinez; two brothers, Henry Samis and Harry Samis; one grandson, Mathew Bates.
Pallbearers were Donald Brewster, David Garcia, Mashone Lowe, Grady Goodpaster, Kendall Jertel and Willie Elrod.

Richard McClure
Graveside services for Richard McClure, 91, Sulphur were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2001 at Oaklawn Cemetery with Danny Cavett officiating. Interment was in the Oaklawn Cemetery with Cowley-Krien Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. McClure was born July 28, 1909 in Davidson, Okla. to James Arthur McClure and Elloy (George) McClure. He died Feb. 1, 2001 at Stillwater Medical Center, Stillwater.
On Sept. 11, 1937 he married Georgia Lowimore. She preceded him in death on Dec. 16, 1986.
He was also preceded in death by his mother and father, four sisters, Lena Myers, Edna Alexander, Merle Smith, Maude McClure; three brothers, H.W. McClure, Wesley McClure and Milton George McClure.
Mr. McClure moved to Sulphur in 1913 on the W. L Scott farm. His family moved north of Sulphur in 1916 to the farm. He still has part ownership of the farm today. He graduated from Sulphur High School in 1926 furthered his education at Hills Business College in Oklahoma City. Richard went to work at Farmers National Bank in 1929, which later became First National Bank and is now BancFirst. He worked a total of 49 years and 7 months. He was also a rancher on his family place. He was a member of the Oklahoma Bankers Association, American Angus Association, and the Southwest Texas Cattleman's Association. He was a Methodist by faith, and has lived the majority of his life in Sulphur.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Georgiana and Andy Kincaid, Stillwater; one grandchild, Noal Patton and wife, Julie, Shawnee; one step grandchild, Angela Kincaid, Stillwater; two great grandchildren, Cody and Tanner Patton, Madill; one sister, Dorothy Reynolds, Houston, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Honorary pallbearers were Larry Hobbs, Glen Leming, Butch Hill, Don Cowley, Bob Essary and Gary Freeman.
A scholarship fund is being established at Sulphur Community Bank for the Sulphur Foundation for Excellence in Education.

Ronald Elwyn Lee
Services for Ronald Elwyn Lee, 52, Flour Bluff, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Feb., 8, 2001 at St. Paul's The Apostle Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens with Flour Bluff-Padre Isles Funeral Home in charge of the services.
Mr. Lee was born August 13, 1948 in Oklahoma City. He died Feb. 4, 2001 in a Corpus Christi Hospital.
Mr. Lee was a retired CW4 Army Helicopter Pilot. He served on active duty in the Army and was stationed at Fort Hood, Fort Rucker and Korea. He was also a member of the National Guard in Reno, Nev. and San Antonio where he retired.
Mr. Lee lived most of his youth in Oklahoma. He met and married his first wife, Kathleen Stacey and had two girls, Dawn (David) Broyles, Spencer and Dr. Julie Lee, Choctaw. He later married his present wife, Rita, on Feb. 24, 1979 in Stockton, Calif., and had their children, Andrew, Paul, John and Jeannette Lee. The family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1985 where he became a safety officer and later a test Pilot. He has worked for the Corpus Christi Army Depot for 16 years. He was an active member of St. Paul,The Apostle Catholic Church in Flour Bluff.
He was preceded in death by his father, James H. Lee.
He is survived by his wife, Rita, of 21 years; and his children; parents, Edwinna (Dale) Wittman, Shawnee; three brothers, James M. Lee, Victor M. (Sharla) Lee, Dale and Kendal (Kellie) Lee, Shawnee; three sisters, Lorna (Pete) Blockowiak, Shawnee, Judy (Eddie) Aquirre, Tecumseha and Carla (Lonnie) Carlon, McCloud; two grandchildren, Samuel and Solomon Broyles, both of Spencer.

Athie Mae "Pat" Strayhorn
Services for Athie Mae "Pat" Strayhorn, 93, Muskogee, formerly of Sulphur were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001 at Sulphur United Methodist Church with Rev. Emery Mason and Rev. Marty Strayhorn officiating. Interment was in the Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Mrs. Strayhorn was born Sunday, Feb. 10, 1907 in Watalulu, Ark. to William T. Patterson and Laura Hammons Patterson. She died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001 in Muskogee.
On Nov. 7, 1925 she married Russell Strayhorn in Muskogee. He preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 1990.
At the age of four, she and her family came by covered wagon to Porum, where he father was postmaster and ran a general store. The family moved to Muskogee in 1924. She graduated from Muskogee Central High School in 1925. After her marriage she and Mr. Strayhorn, who worked for OG&E, lived in Vian, Gore, Webbers Falls and Watonga, before coming to Sulphur in 1952. The couple came here after he accepted an OG&E district manager's job. In 1998 she moved to Muskogee to be near her daughter. Mrs. Strayhorn was a member of Sulphur United Methodist Church and Eastern Star, Garden Club and PEO. She had many friends and played alot of bridge, was a talented seamstress and designed and made many of her fashionable clothes.
Mrs. Strayhorn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Alice and Don Lowe, Muskogee; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas R. and Catherine Strayhorn, Fort Worth, Texas; grandchildren, Debbie and Winston Hix, Muskogee, Marty and Christy Strayhorn, Mildred and James Corbett, Doug and Barbara Strayhorn, all of Fort Worth, Texas and John and Jennifer Strayhorn, Texarkana, Texas; 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Bonnie Creel and Bertha McCague.
Pallbearers, Casey Hix, Winston Hix, James Corbett, John Strayhorn, Doug Strayhorn and Marty Strayhorn.
Honorary pallbearers were Leon Wood, David Thompson, John Sparks, Willis Milton, Don Braden, Roy Provence, Dr. G.T. Easley.

Juanita "Granny" Morton
Services for Juanita "Granny" Morton, 82, Davis were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2001 at First Baptist Church,Davis with Rev. James Densman officiating. Interment was in the Green Hill Cemetery, Davis with Fox Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Morton was born March 7, 1918 in Sulphur to James and Nora Jane Coley Smith. She died Jan. 30, 2000 in Davis.
On Nov. 20, 1937 she married Morris "Booley" Morton. He preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 1983.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, J.W. Smith and one daughter-in-law, Marline Morton.
Mrs. Morton worked as a greeter for Sooner Foods in Davis for nearly 20 years. She lived in Davis most all of her life. She was a nursery attendant at the First Baptist Church in Davis for 30 years.
Mrs. Morton is survived by three daughters, Lynda and husband, Frank Lumpkin, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Kay and husband Ron Bryen, Edmond and Pam and husband, Bruce Henley, Davis; one son, Jim Morton, Sun City, Ariz.; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jerry Lumpkin, Joey Lumpkin, Lee Henley, Lacey Henley, Holly Schrader and Brett Berninger.
An honorary pallbearer was Mike Lee.
