Ann Marie Frutiger
Services for Ann Marie Frutiger, 74, Sulphur, were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, Feb. 26 at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sulphur with Father Russell Hewes officiating. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery with Krien Funeral Home of Sulphur in charge of arrangements.
Born October 10, 1932 in Mt. Vernon, N.Y., to William and Loretta (Peters) Hynes, she died Wednesday, Feb. 21 in Ardmore.
She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Long Beach, Calif. She and Robert "Bob" Carlson Frutiger were married on March 25, 1984. They moved to Sulphur on April 19, 1991. She won numerous awards for her volunteer work at the Sulphur Chamber of Commerce and Sulphur Days events. She was an active member of the Sulphur Senior Citizens Center, the Red Hat Ladies and is enjoyed working in ceramics. She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sulphur.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, William, Frank and Charles Hynes.
Surviving are her husband, Robert "Bob" Frutiger; four sons, William Pitts, Conway, Ark., Richard Pitts and wife, Dee, Sulphur, Stephen Pitts and wife, Denise, Conway, Ark. and Kenneth Pitts and wife, Ivy, Torrance, Calif.; one daughter, Theresa Midkiff and husband, Jim, Adamsville, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Rachel, Timmy, Jason, Jessica, James, Christopher, Brian, Jacob, Brent and Charles and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were William Pitts, Richard Pitts, Stephen Pitts, Kenneth Pitts, Jessica Pitts and Jason Pitts.

Susan Kay Green
A private family service for Susan Kay Green, 54, Enid, will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Krien Funeral Home of Davis. Interment will be in Rock Cemetery in Livingston, Wisc.
Born March 11, 1952 to James and Pauline Hill in Platterville, Wisc., she died Saturday, Feb. 24 in Enid.
Susan grew up on the farm and liked to work in the field with her dad, helping with cattle and riding her horse. She had worked at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital as marketing coordinator until ill health caused her to resign. She had resided in both Sulphur and Davis and performed volunteer work with the Davis Elementary School, working with the physical education department to promote healthy students. She was on the "Safe and Healthy School Committee," helping to perform pre and post testing on children's physical fitness program, which was inspirational to both staff and children in encouraging healthy living. Her desire was to develop a "Rose Walk-A-Thon on Mother's Day for school children to promote good health. A Susan Green Rose Garden was established in 2005 at Fullerton Park in Davis in her honor.
She is survived by her mother, Pauline Hill; one sister, Joyce and a brother, John.
She was preceded in death by her father.
In lieu of flowers, a rose bush may be planted in the Susan Green Rose Garden in her honor.

Mildred Alma Blagg
Graveside services for Mildred Alma Blagg, 77, Sulphur, were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 1 with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur with Krien Funeral Home of Sulphur in charge of arrangements.
Born August 20, 1929 to Truman Keith and Alma (Fields) Montgomery in Davis, she died Wednesday, Feb. 28 in Sulphur.
She grew up in Hennepin and graduated from Woodland High School. She and Leon Eldridge Blagg were married in 1952 and the couple made their home in Sulphur. She worked as a secretary for the Federal Park Service most of her career. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and camping out and their grandchildren. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Sulphur.
Surviving are two sons, Keith Earl Blagg and wife, Lorrie, Piedmont and Lindell Guy Blagg, Sulphur; one daughter, Amy Frazier and husband, Alan, Sulphur; one sister, Linnie Cole, Pearland, Texas and seven grandchildren, Carrie and Jill Frazier, Andrew, Nicholas and Patrick Blagg, Vanessa and Melissa Blagg.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Preston Blagg.

Mary Elizabeth Woodell
Services for Mary Elizabeth Woodell, 81, were held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 6 at the Krien Chapel in Sulphur with Pastor Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery with Krien Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Born March 31, 1925 to R. T. and Mattie (Penny) Lee in Coal County, she died Friday, March 2 in Wynnewood.
Mary grew up on the farm in Coal County. After she and James Leonard Woodell married, they lived in the Clarita area. In the early 1950's, they moved to Sulphur where they raised two daughters, Betty and Sandra. Her greatest joy was taking care of her family. She would make biscuits and gravy at any time at their request. She enjoyed listening to country music and solving crossword puzzles.
Surviving are one sister, Etoy Hampton, Sulphur; two daughters, Betty Bolding, Sulphur and Sandra Fisher, Norman; five grandchildren Jim Bolding and wife, Maelee, Davis, Robert Bolding and wife, Tiffany, Davis, Dana Moore, Sulphur, Stefanie Fisher, Norman and Jamie Albright, Pauls Valley; five great grandsons, Brock, Marshall, Kavan, Wyatt, Marcus; four great granddaughters, Lindsey, Morgan, Emily and Beth and one great-great grandson, Kevin.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; four sisters, Ophelia Daniels, Freda Woodell, Lorena Brown and Lilly Woodell and six brothers, Walter, Roy, Robert, Lawrence, Lewis and Tom Lee
Pallbearers were Tom Woodell, Keith Woodell, Terry Woodell, Lewis Woodell, Billy Woodell and David Hampton.

John L. Myers
Graveside services for John L. Myers, 87, Davis, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 7 at Green Hill Cemetery in Davis with Rev. Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery with Hale's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Born April 25, 1919 to Charlie and Celeste (Sharp) Myers in Hoover, he died Sunday, March 4 in Wynnewood.
He and Ethel Oleta Cash were married April 14, 1938 in Wynnewood. She preceded him in death on January 2, 1990. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Shelia Rose; one brother, Buck Myers; one sister, Charlene and two great grandchildren.
John worked as a ranch foreman for several area ranches throughout his life. In 2004, due to failing health, he moved to the Grace Living Center in Wynnewood. He had his daily routines that included a visit with each resident and helping make sure everyone had what they needed at mealtime.
He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Hale and husband, Mack, Dougherty and Tammy Norman and husband, Mark, Pauls Valley; four sons, Larry Myers and wife, Debbie, Ken Myers and wife, Jean, Danny Myers and wife, Sandy, and Sam Myers and wife, Pam, all of Wynnewood; one brother, Kelly Myers; one sister, Mary Jane Grimes, 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Mae Dean Rozzell
Services for Mae Dean Rozzell, 85, Sulphur, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 7 at the Krien Chapel in Sulphur with Rev. Marion Reimers officiating. Interment will be in Corley Cemetery in Stratford.
Born April 10, 1921 in Elm Springs Township, Washington, County, Ark. to William and Lura (Holland) Littrell, she died Friday, March 2 in Sulphur.
During World War II, she worked for McDonald Douglas in Tulsa, helping build B-29 bombers. She retired from Wal-Mart after 20 years of service where she was a department manager. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and pianist for the Prairie View Church where she attended.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pete Rozzell; three sisters and four brothers.
Surviving are two sons, Jerry Rozzell, Haslet, Texas and William Dean Pebsworth, Orlando, Fla.; one stepdaughter, Dorothy Montgomery, Lubbock, Texas; on stepson, Sonny Pebsworth, Lubbock, Texas; four grandchildren, Jerrod Rozzell and wife, Melissa, Ardmore, Jamie Rozzell, Sulphur, Eric Pebsworth and Dena Pebsworth, both of Orlando, Fla.; one great grandchild, Mackenzie Rozzell, Ardmore.
Pallbearers will be Dale Billings, Charles Holden, T. Z. Wells, Sammy Jones, Jim Britt and Francis Rozzell.

Joe James Cade
Services for Joe James Cade, 66, Compton, Calif., will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 10 at DeArman's Clagg Funeral Chapel with Baron Keith Hopgood officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery with DeArman's Clagg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Born May 22, 1940 in Sulphur to Lura and Eugene Cade, he died Wednesday, Feb. 28.
He grew up in Sulphur, attending school here. He moved to California and began work as a mechanic. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles Cade and Eugene Cade and two sisters, Dora Lee Busby and Goldie Cade.
Surviving are four brothers, Tony Cade, Carson, Calif., Anthony T. Cade, Milwaukee, Wisc., George Cade, Edmond and Ralph Cade, Sulphur; three sisters, Ruthie Cade, Sulphur, Dorothy Jackson, Milwaukee, Wisc. and Lura J. Hopgood, Midwest City.
Pallbearers will be David Joe Green, Manuel Price, Curtis Hamilton, Charles Black, Edward Black and David Pittman.

Lillie Mae Barnes
Mrs. Virgil Barnes (Lillie Mae), 98, passed away March 5, 2007 in Houston, Texas. where she resided with her daughter (the former Emogene Barnes) and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Storseth. Mrs. Barnes son is Paul and his wife, Kylene of La Porte, Texas. She will be greatly missed by all.

Donald Lee Treat
Former longtime resident of Shawnee Donald Lee Treat died Sunday at his home in Wiley, Texas. He was 64.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Blackburn Chapel Cemetery, Shawnee.
He was born Jan. 28, 1934, in Shawnee to Arthur C. and Winnie P. (Bugg) Treat.
His mother preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Treat, Wiley, Texas; his father, Arthur C. Treat, Shawnee; sisters, Loretta Jones, Patricia Crook, both of Shawnee; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Renay Treat, Prague; Mike and Connie Treat, Fort Riley, Kan.; Raymond and Linda Treat, Shawnee; Robert Treat, Seminole; daughters and sons-in-law, La Tesha Treat; Lea Ann and Dewayne Cox, Earlsboro; Donna and Darrell Conway, Sapulpa; stepchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Zimmerman; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wilson, Texas; and Mr. and Mrs. Monty Moreau, Indiana.
Also 11 grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Shawn Treat, Shawnee; Buddy and Joseph Cox, Earlsboro; LaCrista and Steven Treat, Prague; Clinton Treat, Dale; Curtis and Lacie Treat, Moore; Tina, Crissy, and Sara Treat, Fort Riley, Kan.; eight stepgrandchildren; 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; longtime friend, Wayne Ware, Shawnee; and many others.

Sundene C. Fisher
Longtime area antiques dealer Sundene C. Fisher of Shawnee and Tecumseh died Friday in Tehachapi, Calif. She was 71.
She was born April 16, 1927, in Pontotoc to Henry and Bertie (Lewis) Cobble. She was reared and attended school in Pontotoc and graduated from high school there. She married Garner B. "Bud" Fisher in Wichita Falls, Texas, on Nov. 14, 1947.
Mrs. Fisher had worked at Wilson Packing Company and for the U.S. Postal Service in Oklahoma City. She also worked as a cashier at Newton Wall Company in Shawnee. For 25 years, she and her husband were antique dealers, doing business throughout the country and starting many of the swap meets in this area.
She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents and one daughter, Denise Fisher.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bud Fisher, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Lynn and Barry Jackson, Tehachapi, Calif.; grandchildren, Todd and Satsie Jackson, Shawnee; Aleasha Jackson, Heather Jackson, both of Tehachapi; two great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Jane Brumley, Gridley, Calif., and many other relatives.
Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Chapel in Tecumseh with the Rev. Mick Cavanaugh officiating. Private burial service will be held at a later date.

Della Culpepper
Della Culpepper of Shawnee died Monday at the age of 88.
She was born Jan. 27, 1910, in Lumberton, Miss., the daughter of George and Mary (Breland) Warden. She was a graduate of McNeil (Miss.) High School. She had lived most of her life in Mississippi and moved to Shawnee in 1994. She had worked for Masion Blanche Department Stores in New Orleans, La., for more than 20 years.
She was a member of Goodyear Baptist Church in Picayune, Miss.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and four brothers.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Dixie and Edward Wagner, Shawnee; Jeanette Armstrong, Metairie, La.; Elizabeth and Jack Blevins, Wiseman, Ark., 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. Reed Lynn officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Chapel of Tecumseh.
