Delbert Raymond Kimrey
Delbert Raymond Kimrey, 88, of Norman, Oklahoma, died
Tuesday, December 10, 2002 in Midwest City, Oklahoma.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 13,
2002 at Norman I.O.O.F. Cemetery with full military honors .
Reverend David Spain, pastor of The First Christian Church will
officiate. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral
Home of Norman, Oklahoma.
Mr. Kimrey was born May 16, 1914 in Pawnee, Oklahoma, to
Louis Napolean and Nancy Collette Kimrey. He grew up in Pawnee,
Oklahoma and graduated from Pawnee High School. He graduated
from Central State University with a Degree in Marketing. He retired
from the U.S. Navy as a Commander after serving four years active
duty and twenty six years in the Reserve. Mr. Kimrey moved to
Norman in 1946, where he worked as the Director of Purchasing for
the University of Oklahoma until 1976, retiring as Director Emeritus.
He served as Deacon at The First Christian Church in Norman. He
was a past president of the Kiwanis and a member of the National
Association of Educational Buyers.
Mr. Kimrey was preceded in death by his parents and his wife,
Jill in 1976. Survivors include three sons, Larry Kimrey and wife,
Mike of Tulsa, OK, Lynn Kimrey of Louisville, KY and Lance
Kimrey and wife, Michelle of Rockwall, TX; one daughter, Lisa
Kimrey of Norman, OK; twelve grandchildren and four great
grandchildren.

Alyce Clifton Kinney
Alyce Clifton Kinney, 84, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, died
Sunday, December 8, 2002 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Memorial
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 12, 2002
at Central Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City, OK with Reverend
Janet Ruark officiating. Services are under the direction of
Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Kinney was born June 17, 1918 in Luling, Texas, to
Harvey Wade and Alyce Belle Clifton Whittington. She grew up in
Ardmore, Oklahoma and graduated from high school there. She
married Stanley Michael Kinney in 1940, he preceded her in death in
1992. They moved to Norman in 1950 from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She
was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City.
Mrs. Kinney was active in Meals on Wheels and also volunteered at
the church.
Mrs. Kinney was preceded in death by her parents, husband
and one sister, Marjorie Gatewood. Survivors include one daughter,
Barbara Aleman and husband, Edward of Oklahoma City, OK; one
sister, Francell Hohl of Benton, AR; and one grandchild, Kristin
Aleman of Oklahoma City, OK.
Memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund at
Central Presbyterian Church, 5101 N. May, OKC, OK 73112.

Helen A. Lambert
Helen A. Lambert was born February 9, 1908, near Martha,
Oklahoma to Claude and Mary Scott. She had two brothers, Bee
Scott and Melvin Scott, who preceded her in death, and one sister,
Eva Mae Pruett of Purcell, Oklahoma, who survives her.
Helen married Brad A. Lambert on her birthday, February
9, 1925, in Norman, Oklahoma. To that union were born 6
children: Betty Brann of Norman, Billye Diehm of Norman, Earl
Lambert (who preceded her in death in 1984), Norma Ruth
Winegeart of Houma, Louisiana, Jerry D. Lambert of Overland
Park, Kansas, and Gary Lambert of Norman.
Helen and Brad Lambert became members of the Norman
First Church of the Nazarene in 1936, where she remained a
member until her death. She had 18 grandchildren, and numerous
great- and great-great-grandchildren. Helen was widowed in 1965,
and spent over 20 years doing volunteer work for agencies in
Norman.
Helen passed away at Norman Regional Hospital on
December 27, 2002. There will be a private family funeral service
at Havenbrook Funeral Home.

Michael Wood Tinling
Michael Wood Tinling, age 60, of Norman died Saturday,
December 28, 2002 in Norman. Mass Services of Memorial will be
held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December, 31, 2002 at St. Thomas More
University Parish with Reverend Bill H. Pruett as celebrant. Burial
will be held later in a private ceremony. Arrangements are under the
direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.
Mr. Tinling was born December 25, 1942, in Williamsport,
Pennsylvania, to James Edwin Tinling and Mary Elizabeth Wood.
While his parents were stationed in England, he obtained the rank of
Eagle Scout. He graduated from Freemont Union High School in
1960, and graduated Chico State University with a degree in biology.
Michael then taught biology in Susanville, California. He was then
employed as a medical tech at Stanford University for a number of
years. He then settled in Norman in 1988, where he was active at the
Senior Citizen’s and enjoyed playing bridge there.
Mr. Tinling was preceded in death by his parents, and brother
Charles Edward Tinling. Survivors include two sisters, Judith
Elizabeth Girard and her husband, Marston of Citrus Heights,
California and Mary S. Bonner and her husband, Stephen of Norman;
three brothers, James Richard Tinling and his wife, Ginny of
Hillsboro, Oregon, Steven Paul Tinling and his wife, Gini of Davis,
California, and Walter William Tinling and his wife, Elizabeth of
Montgomery Village, Maryland; thirteen nieces and nephews, Jean
Elizabeth Conner, Catherine Pazdel, Michael James Bonner, Matthew
Ray Bonner, Andy Tinling, Molly Tinling, Alyssa Tinling, Emily
Tinling, Melissa Tinling, Heather Tinling and Colleen Tinling, Brian
Rinck and Tony Rinck: and eight great nieces and nephews, Ryan
Ward, Jason Ward, Ethan Pazdel, Cassandra Pazdel, Evan Pazdel,
Libby Rinck and Addison Rinck, and Asa Bonner.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Thomas More
University Parish, in Norman, Oklahoma.

Lowell James Marsh
Lowell James Marsh, 65, of Norman, Oklahoma died Friday,
December 20, 2002 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Marsh Family
will be available for visitation from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on
Sunday, December 21, 2002 at Havenbrook Funeral Home. Funeral
Services will be held at 2:00p.m., Monday, December 23, 2002 at the
Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Mike Bumgarner,
officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery
in Norman, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of
Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma.
Mr. Marsh was born February 6, 1937 in Norman, Oklahoma
to Madison James and Gladys (Puckett) Marsh. He attended Norman
schools and graduated from Norman High School in 1955. He helped
lead the Norman High basketball team to their first state
championship. He received a basketball scholarship from Southern
Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Lowell married Carole Ann
Wood on August 9, 1956. He worked in sales many years and retired
from Norman Public Schools in 1999. He was inducted into the
Oklahoma Softball Hall of Fame in 1997. Lowell enjoyed fishing, O.
U. sports and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Marsh was preceded in death by his oldest son Jim, his
parents, five brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife,
Carole of the home; sons, Jay Marsh and wife, Debbie of Norman,
Oklahoma and Jeff Marsh and wife, Lori of Springfield, Missouri;
daughter, Janice Campbell and husband Gary of Norman, Oklahoma;
brothers, H.D. (Cotton) Marsh and BobMarsh; sisters, Evelyne
Bruehl, Ardella Loughmiller and Arvella Marsh; grandchildren,
Jayson, Bradley and Jake Marsh, Ashlee and Amee Marsh,
Christopher and Chelsea Knight and Jillian and Lexie Campbell;
close friends, Jim and Sharon Dickerson and many other friends and
family. Donations may be made to Norman Public Schools
Foundation at 131 S. Flood, Norman, Oklahoma 73069.
