Rose Katherine Zoeller

Purcell homemaker Rose Katherine Zoeller died Tuesday at the age of 95.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Kenneth Fulton and Father Ben Zoeller officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home in Konawa. A rosary will be 8:15 p.m. today at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Mrs. Zoeller was born Sept. 25, 1902, in Henrietta, Texas, to Mary Veltenheimer. She married Frederick Leo Zoeller on Jan. 28, 1946, in Konawa.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband on June 13, 1969.

Thelma Margaret Thomas

Longtime Cushing area resident Thelma Margaret Thomas died Monday at a Tecumseh nursing home. She was 88.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Cushing with Dr. Chris Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Cushing.

Mrs. Thomas was born April 3, 1910, in Agra, to Walter F. and Alice (Garoutte) Tate, and was reared and educated in the Cushing area.She married Marion Edgar Thomas on Dec. 3, 1928, in Guthrie.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cushing and was previously active in the Women's Missionary Circle and the choir. She worked at TG&Y in Cushing for several years.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne E. and Doris L. Thomas of Midwest City, Don and Wilda Thomas of Shawnee, Gary and Cheryl Thomas of Tecumseh; a daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Alec Grace of Cushing; two sisters, Florene Jerrard of Paramount, Calif., Barbara Jean Wycliffe of Oceanside, Calif.; nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion, in August 1982; her parents; a son, Kenneth E. Thomas in 1984; two brothers and two sisters.

Maurine (Baird) Jordan

Former Shawnee resident Maurine (Baird) Jordan, 83, of San Antonio, Texas, died Friday, September 4, 1998 at her residence.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Memorial Park. Further arrangements will be announced by Roesch-Walker Funeral Home.

Georgia Henry

Georgia Henry, 87, Shawnee, died Wednesday at a local hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Nazarene Church with the Rev. Richard Dickinson officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery, Purcell, under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel. The casket will be open at the funeral home until 9:30 a.m. Saturday and will not be opened at the church.

Mrs. Henry was born Sept. 14, 1910, in Antlers to Wick and Lee Nora (Shannon) Smith. She married Jasper S. Henry on Nov. 14, 1928.

Mrs. Henry retired from Texas Instruments in 1976. She was a longtime member of the Church of the Nazarene and First Church of the Nazarene, Shawnee.

Survivors include her son, Ray Henry, Grove; daughter and son-in-law, Nora and Sherman Garrett, Ponca City; grandchildren, Sharron Garrett, Norman; Debbie Woodard, Deer Creek; Cathy Stalcup, Moore; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Garland Smith, Hiawatha, Iowa; sisters, Mable Madell, Grove; Sybil Phillips, Tulsa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and three sisters.

Memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, 825 N.E. 13th, Oklahoma City, Okla. 73104.

Bernice Beal

Tecumseh resident Bernice Beal died Wednesday in Shawnee. She was 77.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First Assemly of God, Tecumseh, with the Rev. Robert Rider officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Beal was born in Shawnee on April 29, 1921, to Aubrey and Docia (Crownover) Harper. She married George "Buster" Beal in Moore on Sept. 12, 1936.

She had resided in Tecumseh since 1944 where she was a a member of the First Assembly of God.

Survivors include daughter, Vickie Beal, Tecumseh; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Raymond Tunnell, Earlsboro; five grandchildren, four great-grandchilren, one niece, two cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Bonnie June O'Neal; her parents; sister, Beulah Cox; and niece, Joyce Shankle.

Elizabeth Jane Hollingshead

Seminole resident Elizabeth Jane Hollingshead died Wednesday in Seminole. She was 88.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Majors officiating.

Mrs. Hollingshead was born northwest of Shawnee on Aug. 18, 1909, to Henry and Josephine Fisher. She attended Hagar Schools. She married Frank John Hollingshead on Dec. 11, 1925.

Mrs. Hollingshead moved to Shawnee in 1953 and worked at the Sylvania Plant. She was a member of the Hagar Home Demonstration Club of Shawnee.

Survivors include her children, George Hollingshead and family, Shawnee; John Hollingshead and family, Plymouth, Mich.; Mary Morse and family, Andrews, Texas; Charles Hollingshead and family, Denver, Colo.; Marie Higdon and family, Seminole; Bill Hollingshead and family, Whitefield, Okla.; sister, Agnes Blagg, Shawnee; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 3, 1978.

Henrietta Louise Kauley

Shawnee resident Henrietta Louise Kauley died Wednesday at an area hospital. She was 27.

Tribal rites will be held Saturday evening at the home of Carol Patterson. Burial will be Sunday at Wakolee Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Ms. Kauley was born Feb. 14, 1971, in Lawton to David Kauley Sr. and Shirley (Nullake) Alexander.

Survivors include four children, Cameron, Justine, Leonard "Bubba" Walker and Cody Kauley, all of the home; her mother, Shirley Nullake Alexander, of the home; her father, David Kauley Sr., Dale; grandmother, Ruth Nullake, of the home; brother, David Kauley Jr., Shawnee; half brothers, Joe and Mitchel Kauley, Dale; half sister, Alise Kauley, Dale; and many other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, George Nullake Sr.; grandparents, Inez and Arthur Kauley; aunt, Regina Nullake Davis: uncles, Norman and Calvin Kauley; cousin, Roy Lee Nullake.

Sandra Kaye Grywalski

Shawnee resident Sandra Kaye Grywalski died Wednesday in Shawnee. She was 50.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Faith Fellowship Church, Oklahoma City, with the Rev. Lewis Gordon officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore. Further arrangements are pending under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.

Dorothy Mae Jones

Dorothy Mae Jones, 75, Okemah, died Tuesday in an Oklahoma City hospital.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Parks Brothers Chapel, Okemah, with the Rev. Curtis Townley officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery.

She was born April 14, 1923, in Okemah to G.D. and Hannah (Ault) Skinner. She married Charles E. Jones at Okemah on June 17, 1939. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, on April 16, 1980; son Eddie Jones, on Nov. 21, 1966; her parents; and two brothers, Jim Skinner and Robert Skinner.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Betty and Charles Speir, Allen; Virginia Fillman, Modesto, Calif.; and Mary Sue and Keith Donnelly, Yukon; brother and sister-in-law Ira and Pauline Skinner, Tulsa; sister Ruby Williams, Pittsburg, Calif.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Marion Skinner, Norco, Calif.; Wanda Skinner, Okemah; and Jodie Jones, Sapulpa.

Vera Nixon Parsons

Vera Nixon Parsons, 81, Okemah, died Tuesday at a Broken Arrow nursing home.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Parks Brothers Chapel, Okemah, with the Rev. Don Lehman officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 1, 1916, in Okemah to Otto and Jessie (Clarkson) Nixon. In 1938, she married E.E. Parsons Jr. She was a retired Okfuskee County Court Clerk, a position which she held from 1961 to 1981. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, on April 30, 1959.

She is survived by son Ellis Earle "Nick" Parsons III, of the home; daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Steve Dressler, Broken Arrow; sisters Josephine Allen, Edmond; Fern Wood, Abilene, Texas; and Virginia Dill, Okemah; and five grandchildren, Jeff Parsons, Greg Parsons, Doug Dressler, Beth Anne Dressler, and Drew Dressler.

Susan Marie Kincaid

Susan Marie Kincaid died Tuesday at her residence in Elkmont, Ala. She was 43.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel, Athens, Ala. Burial will be at 4 p.m. at Runyan Cemetery, Runyan, Tenn.

Mrs. Kincaid was born June 14, 1955, in Oklahoma City to Kenneth and Mary Stephens. She was employed by Avis Car Rental and S.C.I. in Huntsville, Ala.

Survivors include her husband, Douglas A. Kincaid, of the home; son, Tony Meinert, Birmingham, Ala.; daughter, Megan Miller, Elkmont, Ala.; parents, Kenneth and Mary Stephens, Oklahoma City; grandmother, Hildred Bauman, Shawnee; brother, Kenny Stephens, Oklahoma; Cindy Pritchett, Oklahoma; Teresa Andrews, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews.
