Veral Acree

Lifelong Maud resident Veral Acree died Tuesday in Midwest City. She was 86.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Maud, with Rev. Jim Kirkendall officiating. Burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery, Maud, under the direction of Knight Funeral Home, Maud.

Acree was born in Maud on Aug. 18, 1911, to Richard B. and Eunice Mae (Stacey) Raper. She married Loy Acree on Oct. 2, 1927, in Maud.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Maud First Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley C. and Karel Acree, Oklahoma City, Sammy K. and Jackie Acree, Maud, and Danny R. and Debbie Acree, Granbury, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, M. Janette Johnson, Buna, Texas, Vera D. (Midge) and Lee Richards, Maud, and Imogene (Babe) and Jerry Mask, Shawnee; daughter-in-law, Rosemary Acree, Corsicana, Texas; sister, Dixie Mae White, Summerfield, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Loy Acree, May 3, 1970; son, James Dewitt "Jim" Acree; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Raper; grandson, Jeffery Lee Mask; granddaughter, Shaila Dionne Acree; brothers, Andy Raper, Arvel Raper; an infant brother; two sisters, Edith E. Jackson; Pauline Ballard McCown.

Donations may be made to Jim Acree Memorial Scholarship Fund, City National Bank, c/o Glen Smith, Corsicana, Texas 75110-2203.

Charles H. Keithley

Shawnee resident Charles H. Keithley died Wednesday in Oklahoma City. He was 85.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. Benedict Catholic Church with the Rev. Charles Massoth officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Keithley was born in Durant on May 7, 1913, to Deroy Veal and Willie (Rich) Keithley Sr. He married Jewel Carter in Durant.

He lived in Durant before moving to Shawnee in 1961.

He was employed in oil field exploration and later electronic repair. He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Dr. James and Patricia Keithley, Norman; sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Larry Akins, Shawnee; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, D. V. Keithley, Durant; sister, Gladys Everett, Durant.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife on Dec. 26, 1987; and two sons, Charles and Melvin Keithley.

Imogene Smith

Paden homemaker Imogene Smith died Wednesday in Oklahoma City at the age of 66.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Free Will Baptist Church in Paden with the Rev. Jim Eastep officiating. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery in Paden under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.

Mrs. Smith was born May 16, 1932, in Castle, to Bill and Maggie (Matthews) Sanders. She was a resident of Paden most of her life and a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Paden.

She married Lovell "Joe" Smith on Nov. 12, 1965, in Okmulgee.

Survivors include three sons, Ronnie Myers and Robin Myers, both of Seminole, and Ray Smith of Paden; a daughter, Ruby Stephens of Choctaw; a brother, James Sanders of Castle; three sisters, Martha Darnell of Darnell, Ark. Marie Hudson of Fayetteville, Ark., Dollie Jackson of Paden; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Orpha C. Pults

Bookkeeper at a Shawnee furniture store, Orpha C. "Dean" Pults, Oklahoma City, died Wednesday at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was 72.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ron Baldridge officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Pults was born Nov. 11, 1925, in Snyder, Okla., to A.N. and Bessie (Coley) Troutman. She graduated from Tecumseh High School and married Ray Pults on June 7, 1951, in Chandler. She lived in Shawnee most of her life.

She was a bookkeeper at Perry & McGee Furniture Company for several years and was a member of the Downtown Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Felecia and Pat Hensley of Edmond; a brother, L.N. Troutman of Tulsa; two sisters, Pat Southerland of Tecumseh, Dovie Lucy of McLoud; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Alex Hensley of Edmond; and several other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother.

Ronald Joe Robinson

Ronald Joe Robinson died Tuesday at his Seminole home at the age of 51.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Swearingen Funeral Chapel, Seminole, with the Rev. Dennis Yeubanks officiating. Burial will be in Little Cemetery.

Robinson was born in Seminole on Feb. 20, 1941, the son of Cecil Raymond "Pete" Robinson and Lorene Elizebeth (Smith) Robinson. He had served in the U.S. Army and was an oil well completion engineer for the Otis Branch of Haliburton. He moved from Enid to Seminole 10 years ago.

He is survived by his son, Tommy Ray Robinson, Seattle, Wash.; stepson, David Watkins, Oklahoma City; stepdaughter, Amanda Watkins, Enid; brothers, Bev Robinson, San Antonio, Texas; Dal Robinson, Cromwell; Richard Robinson, Frederick; sisters, Mary Ellen Sanders, Cromwell; Nancy Ann Dinwiddie, Seminole, and granddaughter, Paris Ray Devine Robinson.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one son, Ronnie Joe Robinson.

Catherine Kionute Wiles

Catherine Kionute Wiles, mother of William Delaware Jr. of Shawnee, died Sunday at the age of 70.

She was born July 16, 1927, at Binger, the daughter of Jake and Ina Kionute. She attended school at Riverside Indian School and Lookeba High School.

She was a member of the Caddo tribe and was a Catholic. She married William Delaware Sr. in 1944 and he preceded her in death.

She married Stannard Wiles in 1952 and he preceded her in death in March.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Luci Delaware; one sister, Roberta Kionute Compton, and godmother, Henryetta Walker.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, William Jr. and Muriel Delaware, Shawnee; Paul and Verna Delaware, Oklahoma City; daughter and son-in-law, Frances and James Hughes, Bethany; granddaughter she raised, Dominique Delaware, McLoud; brother and sister-in-law, Lyman and Thelma Kionute, Lookeba; special friend, Dorinne Murdock, McLoud, and many others.

Prayer service will be 7 p.m. today at Gragg Funeral Home, Binger, with Fred Parton officiating. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, with the Rev. Mike Wheelahan and Roscoe Shemayme officiating.

Bradley Scott Lovett

Stroud resident Bradley Scott Lovett died Tuesday at the age of 22.

He was born Aug. 8, 1975, in Seminole to Ricky Sr. and Atonya (Cordell) Lovett. He had moved from Maud to Stroud three years ago and worked at T&L Foundry in Glenpool.

He married Penny Ash in Eureka Springs, Ark., on July 22, 1995.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather and grandmother.

Survivors include his wife, Penny, and sons, Chevy Scot, Dillon, and T.J.; daughters, Sebra Cheyenne and Ashley, all of the home; daughter, Rachelle Lovett, Seminole; stepson, Ryan Johnson, Los Angeles, Calif.; parents, Ricky Sr. and Atonya Lovett, Seminole; brother, Ricky Lyn "Goob" Lovett, Seminole, and grandparents, Billy Joe and Ramona Cordell, Seminole.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel, Stroud, with the Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Stroud Cemetery.

Glendon D. Adams

Tecumseh resident Glendon D. Adams died Wednesday in Tecumseh. He was 72.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church in Tecumseh with the Rev. Mack Peercy officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta.

Further arrangements are pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home in Tecumseh.

Carrel D. Gray

Shawnee resident Carrel D. Gray died Friday at his home. He was 57.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel with Jim Pritchard officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Hill Cemetery.

Gray was born July 2, 1941, in Morrilton, Ark., to John Milton and Jewell (Sutton) Gray. He married Rhetta L. Guinn on Feb. 7, 1963, in Oklahoma City.

Gray graduated from Grant High School in Oklahoma City and was employed by Clark Fence Co. in Oklahoma City for 17 years. He was a member of Westside Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Rhetta L. Gray, Shawnee; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Lorie Gray, Ada; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Robert Kesler, Maud; mother, Jewell Gray, Shawnee; brother, Paul Gray, Shawnee; four grandchildren and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father J.M. Gray.
