Carol N. Rorschach

Former Shawnee resident Carol N. Rorschach, 58, died July 25 in a Tulsa nursing home.

She was born May 17, 1940, in Coffeyville, Kan. She was a graduate of Shawnee High School, and she worked for many years in the oil and gas industry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Naomi Rorschach.

Cremation was under the direction of Stanley's Funeral Service, Tulsa. Local memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Harvey D. Fish

Harvey D. Fish, 88, formerly of Shawnee, died Monday in a Tulsa hospital.

He was born in Green City, Mo., on May 10, 1910, to Ira Ernest and Lula Grace (Lewis) Fish. He worked for Sinclair Oil Company for more than 40 years, retiring in 1974 as a chief gauger.

He married Janelle Norman on April 27, 1935, in Seminole, living in Shawnee and Bristol before moving to Bartlesville in 1965.

He moved to Tulsa in 1997. He served as a chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the East Cross United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janelle, of the home; daughter Kathy Deshane, Tulsa; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in the Colonial Chapel, Neekamp Funeral Home, Bartlesville. Dr. David Croninger will officiate. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Resthaven Cemetery, with the Rev. Will Bentley officiating.

Memorials may be made to the East Cross United Methodist Church, 820 S.E. Madison Blvd. Bartlesville, OK 74006.

Mary Louise Rodd Roop

Mary Louise Rodd Roop, 44, Norman, died Saturday at her residence.

She was born Feb. 28, 1954, in Lubbock, Texas, to Samuel and Elma Rodd. She attended school in McAlester and matriculated at a Wilburton college and the University of Oklahoma. She was a registered nurse for more than 20 years in Tulsa, Alburquerque, Shawnee, McAlester, Oklahoma City, and Norman. She had lived in Norman for five years.

She is survived by two daughters, Megan Roop, Norman, and Meredith Roop, Tulsa; son Matthew Roop, Tulsa; mother Elma Rodd, Tecumseh; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Jan Rodd, Ponca City; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Leona and Stacy Blakemore, Shawnee, and Karla Rodd, Shawnee; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and special friend, Bernice Frye.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel, with a eulogy by Frank Rodd.

Paul Henry Leeson

Paul Henry Leeson, 65, Paden, died Monday in Downey, Calif.

He was born Oct. 1, 1932, in Osage County to Samuel P. and Pauline (Kohlmeyer) Leeson. He married Carolyn Elizabeth Kettunen on Oct. 5, 1964, in St. Joseph, Mo. He was a sheet metal mechanic and then a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Terry Leeson and Richard Leeson.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Robin Leeson, Guthrie, and Lori and Bob Kilgo, Shawnee; eight sons and four daughters-in-law, Jeff Leeson, Maguire AFB, N.J.; Scott and Loria Leeson, Harrah; Andy and Janice Leeson, Prague; Sam and Cindy Leeson, Waldorf, Md.; John Leeson, Waldorf, Md.; Ernest Leeson, Texas; Gary and Debra Leeson, Cashion; and Billy Leeson, San Diego, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services are pending under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Prague.

Kelly Howard Bowling

Kelly Howard Bowling, 77, Tecumseh, died Monday.

He was born Nov. 23, 1920, in Tecumseh to Thomas Jefferson and Rosa Lee (Steward) Bowling. He graduated from Harjo High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a farmer and rancher.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joe Bowling.

Survivors include two sisters, Marie Bowling, of the home, and Lavelle Karr, California; niece Rita Karr, California; nephews Bob Karr, California, and Richard Karr, Alaska; and several cousins.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Tecumseh Cemetery, with the Rev. Tim Martin officiating. Family and friends may gather at Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh, at 9 a.m.

Edgar Ralph Walley

Edgar Ralph Walley, 75, Nicoma Park, died Monday in Oklahoma City.

He was born in Chandler on Oct. 11, 1922. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was an oilfield general construction worker until retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.

Survivors include four sisters, Millie Wert, Eufaula; Ruth Ryan, Davenport; Edith Phillips, Kermit, Texas; Lee Cadanhead, Stephensville, Texas; and other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Oak Park Cemetery, Chandler, with the Rev. Lee Lee Lewis officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Chandler.

Lonnie C. Johnson

Lonnie Curtis Johnson, 48, died Sunday in Holdenville.

He was born Oct. 7, 1949, in Meeker to William "Bill" and Luella C. Johnson.

Survivors include his father, Chandler; three brothers, Donnie Johnson, Midwest City; Billy Johnson, Wanette; and Stevie Johnson, Perkins; six sisters, Grace Allen, Tecumseh; May Locke, Broken Arrow; Mary Liggett, Tulsa; Sherrie Patterson, Meeker; Wilma Johnson, Moore; Lorrie Acord, Edmond; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Ronnie L. Johnson.

Services are pending. Burial will be in White Dove Cemetery, Sparks.

Elizabeth Kleine

Retired school teacher Elizabeth Kleine, Shawnee, died Wednesday at a local hospital. She was 90.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hendryx Mortuary, Cumberland Chapel, Cumberland, Tenn., with the Rev. Bill Matthews officiating, assisted by Phil Thompson. Burial will be at Washington Park East, Indianapolis, Ind., under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Kleine was born May 15, 1908, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Rufus and Ella (Ellis) Eblin. She graduated from Brownsburg High School in Indiana, received a teaching certificate from Central State in Edmond and also Butler University in Indiana.

She married Homer D. Kleine on Jan. 30, 1937, in Waveland, Ind., and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She started the Hancock Company Special Education School in Indiana. Mrs. Kleine had lived in Shawnee the past 20 years.

Survivors include her husband, Homer Kleine of Shawnee; two daughters and a son-in-law, Nina Moore of Shawnee, Emma Lou and Larry Burris of Maxwell, Ind.; a son and daughter-in-law, Sandy and Mae Kleine of Greenfield, Ind.; five grandchildren, a stepgrandson, eight great-grandchildren and a stepgreat-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Emerial Eblin and John Eblin; two sisters, Doris Hickman and Ethel Shores.

Sandra Kaye Grywalski

Shawnee resident Sandra Kaye Grywalski died Wednesday in Shawnee at the age of 50.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Faith Fellowship in Oklahoma City with the Rev. Louis Gordon officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. Monday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home in Tecumseh.

She was born May 12, 1948, in Stillwater, to Edmund A. and Thelma B. (Watts) Grywalski. She was reared in Edmond and lived in Shawnee. She graduated from Edmond High School and the University of Central Oklahoma.

She was an accountant and a computer software analyst, and also a lay minister.

Survivors include her parents, Edmund and Thelma Grywalski; a daughter, Sonja Messenger of Shawnee; a son, Sean Grywalski of Pompano Beach, Fla.; her grandchildren, Ashley Grywalski of Pompano Beach, Fla., Danielle Bridges, Amanda Bridges, Kristine Messenger, Raechell Messenger, all of Shawnee.

Raymond Cochran

The Rev. Raymond Cochran of Earlsboro died Wednesday at the age of 85.

Services will be 4 p.m. today at Countryside Pentecostal Church of God in Tecumseh with the Rev. Dennis Stone officiating. Burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday at LaSalle Cemetery at Groesbeck, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Raymond Cochran was born April 12, 1913, in Personville, Texas, the son of John William "J.W." and Julia G. (Smith) Cochran.

He married Genevieve Graber in Hood River, Ore., on Sept. 13, 1942. He was reared in Texas and Oklahoma and later lived in California and Oregon. He made his home in Earlsboro for four years.

The Rev. Cochran was an evangelist with the Pentecostal Church of God for more than 40 years. He had been a superintendent for the State of New Mexico and he and his family started several churches. He was pastor of Shawnee Pentecostal Church of God in 1977.

Preceding him in death were his daughter, Gail Annette Cochran; his parents; two brothers, Walter Cochran, Eldred Cochran, and two sisters, Jewel Shaver and Daisy DeWoody.

He is survived by his wife, Genevieve Cochran, of the home; two daughters, Joy Love, Kokomo, Ind.; Carol Richardson, Fort Worth, Texas; four sons, James Nickerson, Olympia, Wash.; Rodney Cochran, Kiramundy, Ill.; David Cochran, Windfall, Ind.; Ray Cochran Jr., Earlsboro; sisters, Dorothy Ivy Rose, Medford, Ore.; Ruth Galinas, San Dimas, Calif.; 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
