Alan B. Husky, D.O., 50, of
Norman, Oklahoma, died Friday, Oct.17,
2003, in Norman, Oklahoma. Visitation
will be Monday, Oct. 20 from 9:00 a.m.
to 9:00 p.m. at Havenbrook Funeral
Home. Funeral Services will be held at
10:00 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003, at the
McFarlin Memorial United Methodist
Church in Norman, with Tim Smith
officiating. Interment will follow at the
Fairview Maguire Cemetery in Noble,
Oklahoma. Pallbearers are the Norman
Police Department TAC Team. Services
are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman,
Oklahoma.
Alan was born March 11, 1953, in Ringling, Oklahoma, to
A.B. Husky, D.O. and Betty L. Downey Husky. He graduated from
Norman High School and attended the University of Oklahoma for
two years and graduated from the University of Health Science in
Kansas City, Missouri. Alan served an internship in Tucson,
Arizona. In 1978, Alan returned to Norman to work with his father
in his medical practice. Alan volunteered as the Physician for the
Norman Police Department TAC Team, was on staff at the Norman
Regional Medical Center, and was an honorary member of the
Oklahoma Highway Patrol. He was Board Certified in Family
Medicine and was a member of the American and Oklahoma
Osteopathic Associations. He enjoyed hunting, four wheeling, going
to the beach and being in the outdoors with his son, Sam.
Alan was preceded in death by his grandparents, R.S. and
Essie Jones Downey and Andrew Brady and Hattie L. Husky.
Survivors include his son, Samuel Brady Husky and Alan’s fiancée,
Leann Hewett, of the home; parents, A.B. Husky and Betty L. Husky,
of Norman and brother, Ira Brady Husky, D.O. and his wife, Karen,
of Cincinnati, Ohio, niece, Stephanie Husky, nephew, Christian
Husky and numerous friends and family..

Helen Viola Jaffee
Helen Viola Jaffee, 81, of
Norman, Oklahoma, died Saturday,
October 4, 2003, in Norman, Oklahoma.
No Funeral Services will be held at this
time. Arrangements are under the
direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home
of Norman, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Jaffee. was born July 26,
1922 in Topeka, Kansas, to Harry and
Etta Ward Clay. She graduated from
Topeka High School in Topeka, Kansas.
She lived in numerous states as she moved around with her second
husband, Lt. Col. Nathan Jaffee in the military. Mrs. Jaffee moved
to Norman from Topeka in 1983.
Mrs. Jaffee was preceded in death by her parents; first
husband, Howard Landeene and second husband, Lt. Col. Nathan
Jaffee; and three brothers. Survivors include daughter, Pam
Daivdson and husband, Paul of Norman, OK; three sisters; one
brother and one grandchildren, Matthew Davidson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Aging Services of Cleveland
County, 1179 E. Main, Norman, OK 73071.

Debra Lynn (Cummings) Kay
Debra Lynn (Cummings) Kay, 44
of Norman, Oklahoma, died Sunday,
October 26, 2003, in Norman,
Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held
at 1:00 P.M., Friday, October 31, 2003, at
Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel with
Chaplain Harry Smith officiating.
Public viewing will be held at
Havenbrook Funeral home from
Wednesday, October 29 through
Thursday, October 30, 2003. Services are under the direction of
Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma.
Debi was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on November 20, 1958
to Chuck and Joyce Cummings. She lived in Seminole until she was
one-and-a-half years old, then moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico
until she was 14. She then moved back to Seminole to live with her
Aunt Carole and Uncle Jim Robertson. Debi attended Seminole High
School. She then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she met and
married Tim Kay. They were married on April 29, 1979 for twenty-four
wonderful years. She served as a governess for Bob and Cyndi
Beam’s four children while in Tulsa until 1986 when she moved to
Norman. Debi graduated from the Moore/Norman Technology
Center LPN program with honors in 1988. She then worked at
Riveroaks Nursing Home and Rivermont Retirement Center in
Norman. She was a homemaker for the last five years on her acreage
near Lake Thunderbird. She enjoyed swimming, camping, fishing,
gardening, children, animals and shopping!. She also enjoyed time
with her nieces and nephew, Sean and Melissa Livingston and Kristin
and Melissa Simon.
Survivors include her husband, Tim of the home; father,
Chuck Cummings and wife, Doris, mother, Joyce Parker and
husband, Don; sister, Kim Livingston and husband, Greg; and her
brother, Chris Cummings, all of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and her
baby puppy, Spirit, of the home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung
Association of Oklahoma

Georgia Lee Thomson Larsh
Georgia Lee Thomson Larsh, 85, of Norman, Oklahoma, died Friday, October 17,2003 in
Norman, Oklahoma. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 21,2003
at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma with Rev. Bob Younts and Chaplain
Harry Smith officiating. Public viewing will be held at the cemeterybefore services. Pallbearers
will be Rick Davis, Wayne Hooker, Pat Adams, David Ponder, Mike Pullin and Greg Larsh.
Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Larsh was born January 2, 1918 in Lebanon, Illinois, to Charles and Emma K.
Guenther Thomson. She grew up in Lebanon, Illinois and graduated from Lebanon High School.
She married Howard W. Larsh in Lebanon, Illinois on September 4, 1938. They moved to
Norman, Oklahoma from Illinois in 1944. Georgia attended the University of Oklahoma and was
a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. She worked for many years as a Librarian for
the Bass Collection at the University of Oklahoma. She was an O.U. Sooner football fan.
Georgia enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandson. She was a member of the
Methodist Church.
Mrs. Larsh was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Howard on July 30, 1993.
Survivors include his son, Jonathan and wife, Billie of Norman, OK and grandson, Gregory
William Larsh.

Troy Thomas McKenzie
Troy Thomas McKenzie, 82, of
Norman, Oklahoma, died Wednesday,
October 15, 2003, in Norman, Oklahoma.
Family Visitation will be held from 6:00
to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2003
at Havenbrook Funeral Home. Funeral
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m.,
Saturday, October 18, 2003, at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel
with Rob Mason officiating. Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F.
Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be the U.S. Army
Honor Guard. Honorary bearers will be Thomas McKenzie, David
McKenzie, Christopher Corpora, Tommy McKenzie, Timothy Larson
and Stephanie Frame. Services are under the direction of
Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma.
Mr. McKenzie was born July 8, 1921 in Lebanon, Oklahoma,
to Arch and Mitchel Moon McKenzie. He grew up in southern
Oklahoma, in the Lebanon area. He worked in the Civilian
Conservation Corps Camps. Troy married LaVerne Johnston in
Madill, OK on March 2, 1943. During World War II, Troy and his
three brothers joined the U.S. Armed Forces. He served with the 18th
Field Artillery. He received a number of decorations and citations for
his service including, the American Theater Campaign and EAME
Campaign Medals with five bronze stars, the Victory Medal and three
Overseas Service Bars. During the war he served in Normandy,
Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was wounded
in battle during the “Battle of the Bulge”. Troy was released from
service in 1948. He rejoined the U.S. Army in 1952 and served until
his retirement on June 3, 1967 at the rank of Master Sergeant. He
was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was awarded the Korean
Service Medal and the United Nations Service Medal. Troy then
worked as an Elks Club Manager in Sierra Vista, Arizona. He
worked as a Lodge manager for the State of Oklahoma Tourism
Department. Troy retired from the State of Oklahoma in 1980. He
moved to Norman, Oklahoma in 1989 from Hawaii. Troy enjoyed a
number of hobbies including fishing, skin diving and gambling. He
also was an excellent cook and an avid Sooner football fan. Troy was
a life long democrat.
Mr. McKenzie was preceded in death by his parents, his wife,
LaVerne, brother, Otis Wayne McKenzie and nephew, Burl Tabor.
Survivors include two sons, Tom W. McKenzie and wife, Cynthia of
Ft. Worth, TX and David T. McKenzie of Oklahoma City, OK;
daughter, Sharon Corpora and husband, Ivor of Chicago, IL; sister,
Nila Mae Figuroa and husband, Art of Tucson, AZ; four brothers,
Archie McKenzie of Ardmore, OK, Everett McKenzie and wife,
Doris of Ft. St. James, Canada, Aubra Hugh McKenzie and wife,
Gloria of Burlingame, CA and Kenneth McKenzie and wife, Anita of
Sherman, TX; six grandchildren, Doug Larson, Christopher Corpora,
Stephanie Frame, Timothy Larson, Thomas McKenzie and Nathan
McKenzie; five great-grandchildren, Shea Corpora, Stella Corpora,
Raiden Larson, Sophia Frame and Sydney Corpora.
