Nana Eaton Raper

Lifelong area resident Nana Eaton Raper of Maud died Monday in a Madill hospital. She was 90.

She was born Aug. 2, 1908, in Byars, the daughter of James Henry "Heck" Eaton and Mandy (Sparks) Eaton. She married John Andy Raper on June 9, 1929, in Wewoka and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maud.

Preceding her in death were her husband, John Andy Raper, in 1989, and her parents.

Surviving are her sons, Delbert "Red" Raper, Asher; Darrell Raper, Kingston; daughter, Pat Reider, Kingston; brother, Leonard Eaton, Boston, Mass.; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Baptist Church of Maud with burial in Cummings Cemetery. The casket will be open until service time and will not be opened afterward. Arrangements are under the direction of Knight Funeral Home of Maud.

Patricia Ann Rives

Patricia Ann "Pat" Rives died Monday at the age of 64.

She was born Dec. 27, 1933, in Seminole to Joseph and Gladys (Smalley) Coffman. She moved from Santa Fe, N.M., to Stroud in 1994 and was a member of Stroud First Baptist Church. She was a retired medical administrator.

Her parents preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son, Dr. Steven R. Aragon, Champaign, Ill.; daughter, Lisa Rives, Las Lunas, N.M.; brothers, Harold Coffman, Stroud; BiddCoffman, Seminole, and two grandchildren, Joshua Rives and Steven Daniel Ayers.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Stroud with the Rev. Burl Mackey officiating. Burial will be in Stroud Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Stroud.

Tiffini Whorton

Tiffini Whorton, 16, Tecumseh, died Monday in Nicoma Park.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Highland Church of Christ in Tecumseh. Burial will be at Arlington Memorial Park in Midwest City. Further arrangements will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Grace Lujulia Burns

Lifelong Shawnee resident Grace Lujulia Burns died Thursday in Shawnee. She was 80.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Bill Matthews and Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.

Burns was born Jan. 8, 1918, in Wanette to William Burris and Iva Lou (Lazelle) Goodman.

She had been a waitress and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and the Potawatomi Indian Tribe.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Wynona Goodin, Mustang; Paul and Edye Goodin, Longtown, Okla.; son, Willie Goodin, Houston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Dale Edmonds, Shawnee; six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Lucile Scovil; and two brothers, Thomas "Buster" Goodman and Harley Goodman.

Rosie Ann Johnson

Former St. Louis resident Rosie Ann Johnson died Thursday in Oklahoma City. She was 91.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery, Shawnee, under the direction of Bill Merritt South Funeral Service, Oklahoma City.

Johnson was born Sept. 30, 1906, in Muse, Okla., to John and Rosie Pugh.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Rowena Johnson, Purcell; daughters and sons-in-law, Helen Louise and Charles Lenz, Oklahoma City; Dorothy and David Kimberly, Big Spring, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.F. "Bud" Johnson, in 1964; one infant daughter; her parents; one brother and four sisters.

Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 4411 High Line Blvd., Oklahoma City, Okla., 73108.

Charles L. Baker

Moore resident Charles L. "Charlie" Baker died Saturday in Oklahoma City. He was 61.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Prague, with the Rev. Herman Searcy officiating. Burial will be in the Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Prague.

Baker was born Aug. 4, 1937, in Ponca City to Joe and Goldie (Day) Baker. He married Colleen Wisley in Oklahoma City on Dec. 13, 1997.

Baker was a member of the Hiram Lodge of the Masonic Lodge, the India Shrine Temple and was a director of the India Shrine Clowns. He was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union No. 114 and was employed with the Workers Union as an electrician.

Survivors include his wife, Colleen Baker, of the home; son, Mike Baker, Prague; daughters, Teri Mosley and Traci Blumenauer, both of Prague; stepsons, Tony Wisley, Skiatook, and Rick Wisley, Seminole; stepdaughter, Vodonna Leeson, Seminole; brother, Ernie Baker, Moore; and several grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

Robert G. McDaniel

Shawnee resident Robert G. McDaniel died Friday at a local hospital. He was 76.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bob Searl officiating.

McDaniel was born Aug. 21, 1922, in Kiefer, Okla., to Woodson and Verna (Jones) McDaniel. He married Georgia Bryant on April 25, 1943, in Earlsboro.

McDaniel graduated from Shawnee High School in 1940 and served as manager for Goodyear Tire and Rubber for 18 years and worked for Stephens Oil for 10 years. He also served in the United States Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Robyn and Ron Salmon, Broken Arrow; Dana and Gene Hannon, Muskogee; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Nellie McDaniel, Seminole; one niece and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Arthur F. Marsh

Shawnee resident Arthur F. "Shorty" Marsh died Saturday at a local nursing home. He was 81.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Buddy D. Hunt officiating.

Marsh was born May 29, 1917, in Baring, Mo., to Alfred Ross and Opal (Foster) Marsh. He married Bessie Irene Potts on Jan. 11, 1946, in Texarkana, Ark.

Marsh was employed by Shawnee Milling Co. from 1948 to 1981. He served in the United States Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart. He was stationed at the Aleutian Islands from 1941-45. He was a member of the Oklahoma Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Kerry Marsh, Norman; daughter and son-in-law, Bettye and Dewayne Young, Shawnee; sisters, Ruby Martin, Collinsville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Norma and Everett "Buddy" Hunt, Shawnee; Nancy and E.J. Crow, Marlow; brother and sister-in-law, Virgil and Bea Marsh, Jasper, Ga.; brothers, Alfred R. Marsh Jr., Marlow; Curtis Marsh, California; Larry Marsh, Oklahoma City; stepmother, Sarah Todd, Marlow; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two sisters, Alora Marsh Nay and Doris Marsh.

Aline Grace Kelly

Shawnee resident Aline Grace (Votaw) Kelly died Saturday at a local nursing home. She was 76.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with Brother Russ Furgason officiating. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Kelly was born Nov. 3, 1921, in Neodesha, Kan., to Walter Lee and Jessie Ann (Ford) Votaw. She attended Prairie Valley School in Seminole County.

Kelly was employed by Sylvania Electronics and later by Tinker Air Force Base.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Warren Baxter, Shawnee; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Sherry Kelly, Prague; son, Jimmy Kelly, Landcaster, Calif.; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sisters, Irene and Jack Thoma, Casper, Wyo.; Pat Handy and Norene Carsten, both of Casper, Wyo.; Opal and LeRoy Carsten, Anaheim, Calif.; June Furguson and Vashti Little, both of Shawnee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Joyce Woods and Ora Belle Votaw.
