William J. Dickinson

Lt. Col. William J. Dickinson, Edmond, died Wednesday in Norman. He was 75.

Dickinson was born on Nov. 18, 1924, in Tabler, to Francis Clyde and Fern (Pence) Dickinson.

He married Ruby Holden on Jan. 2, 1979.

He served with the U.S. Air Force in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Dickinson was a retired U.S.A.F. engineer.

He was a member of the Methodist faith.

Dickinson was preceded in death by his wife Ruby Dickinson; parents, Francis and Fern Dickinson; and a sister.

Survivors include his stepson, Edwin W. Parsons, Oklahoma City; brother, Jim P. Dickinson, Norman; and a sister, Janiel Bourland, Norman.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler with the Rev. Thom Chappelle officiating.

Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Chandler.

Frank Junior Ebers

Chandler resident Frank Junior Ebers died Monday in Oklahoma City. He was 66.

Ebers was born on Feb. 13, 1933, in Wellston, to Frank and Lakie (Gilliam) Ebers.

He married Vetrice Stewart on Sept. 16, 1957, in Shawnee.

He worked as a mechanic and was affiliated with the Baptist Church.

Ebers served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was preceded in death by his daughter; two grandchildren; his parents, Frank and Lakie Ebers; and a sister.

Survivors include his wife, Vetrice Ebers, of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Cynthia Ebers, Wichita, Kan.; Martin and Christi Ebers and Robert and Marcia Ebers, all of Chandler; two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara and Terry Dawson, Chandler; Rachel Prough, Wellston; two brothers, Harold Ebers, Hennessey; Roger Ebers, Wellston; three sisters, Kathrine Carrouth, Spencer; Ruby Hamby, Petrolia, Texas; Wilda Whisnant, Stroud; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, at First Baptist Church in Wellston, with the Rev. Alan Small and the Rev. Dwain Young officiating.

Burial will be in Rossville Cemetery, under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Chandler.

Hilda Christine Humphrey

Seminole resident Hilda Christine (Moore) Humphrey died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital, Oklahoma City. She was 78.

Mrs. Humphrey was born Oct. 4, 1921 in Dallas, Texas to John I. and Mary Belle (Blakeway) Moore. She married John David Humphrey on Aug. 9, 1957 in Dickenson, Texas.

She worked as a medical records clerk and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Seminole. She moved from Lindsay to Seminole in 1989.

Survivors include her husband John D. Humphrey of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Shawn and Gordon Bledsoe, Spokane, Wash.; daughter-in-law, Emily Duncan, San Antonio, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Lonell Moore, Independence, Texas; grandchildren, Hanna and Blake Bledsoe and Christine and David Duncan; and great-grandchildren, Thomas and Avery.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Dr. Jerry Duncan.

Private family burial services will be held prior to funeral services. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Seminole with Dr. Kelvin Moseley officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Seminole, under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Alva B. Parks

Oklahoma City resident Alva B. Parks died Sunday in Oklahoma City. He was 98.

Parks was born Sept. 15, 1901, in Meeker to William and Mollie (Parks) Parks. He married Ollie (Calaway) Parks on Feb. 14, 1923, in Meeker.

He worked in the banking industry for many years and was employed by Bank of America for 41 years.

Survivors include his sister, Mary Adams, Stafford, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ollie in 1993; five brothers, Uel, Gordon, Nola, Earl and Harry; and two sisters, Edna and Nellie. Visitation will be today at Baggerley-South Funeral Home, Oklahoma City. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Whittier, Calif.

Rodney Grady Kabalan

Tecumseh resident Rodney Grady Kabalan died Thursday at his home. He was 36.

Kabalan was born Sept. 16, 1963, in Bakersfield, Calif., to Ceasar and Carolyn (Cobb) Kabalan. He lived in Las Vegas, Nev., before moving to Tecumseh nine years ago.

He married Deana Irene on May 21, 1983, in Tecumseh. He was a poker dealer for the Four Queens at Las Vegas.

Survivors include his wife Deana of the home; parents, Ceasar Kabalan and Carolyn Buckley; daughter, Shelby of the home; son, Rodney Jr. of the home; and many other relatives and friends.

Services were Monday at Wadley's Funeral Chapel, Purcell, with the Rev. Donald Youker officiating.

Robert Reynolds

Robert Reynolds died Monday in Okemah. He was 91.

Mr. Reynolds was an engineer and had worked for Reynolds Aluminum.

Survivors include his friend Deborah McEwin of Okemah and several staff members of Pioneer Nursing Home of Okemah.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sand Creek Cemetery with pastor Olan Edwards officiating. Funeral services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah.

Hazel Lee Patterson

Hazel Lee Patterson died Saturday in Oklahoma City. She was 94.

She was the daughter of Ernest Willis and Isabelle (Walker) Hamilton. She had lived in Chandler since 1930 before moving to Oklahoma City in 1994.

She married Dewey Patterson April 30, 1927, in Davenport. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1987.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Chandler. Her parents, one brother, one sister and husband preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Jack White of Oklahoma City; one granddaughter, Nancy Baker of Chicago Ill.; one great-grandson, Spencer Baker of Chicago, Ill; and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were 2 p.m. Monday at the New Zion Cemetery with Rev. O. Edmund Pendleton officiating under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Chandler.

Lowell Don Hayes

Lowell Don Hayes died Saturday in Oklahoma City. He was 67.

He was born July 30, 1932, in Warwick, Okla. He was the son of Fred Nelson and Augusta (Lacey) Hayes.

Hayes had lived in the Chandler area all of his life. He married Wanda Sullivan on Dec. 16, 1956, in Warwick.

He worked for the McCorkle Trucking Company for many years and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Chandler.

His parents, one brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife Wanda Hayes of the home; two sons, David Hayes and Donnie Hayes, both of Chandler; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today at the First Assembly of God Church, Chandler, with Rev. Doyle Seeley officiating. Burial will follow at the Luther Cemetery under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Chandler.
