Ray Hicks

Ray Hicks of Carney died Tuesday. He was 71.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel. Services are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home Northeast.

Albert Ricardo Mounz Padilla

Albert "Bubba" Ricardo Mounz Padilla, Brookeland, Texas, died Saturday in Jasper, Texas, at the age of 17.

He was born Feb. 7, 1983, in Shawnee to Albert M. Padilla and Norma Elaine (Lee) Penson. He attended grade school in Shawnee and moved to Brookeland, Texas. There, he completed his junior year. He worked in Jasper, Texas, at a cafe. He was active in sports, such as wrestling, weight lifting, baseball, basketball and football.

Survivors include his father, mother and stepfather, Dennis Penson of Bethany, grandmother, Joan Bettis of Shawnee, stepgrandfather Lloyd Penson of Shawnee, four sisters and brothers-in-law, Stacy and John Root of Brookeland, Texas, Kelly and Carl Dahms of Shawnee, Shawna and Stacy "Todd" Walker of Shawnee, and Amber and Carl Worthey of Shawnee, one stepbrother, Chris Penson of Angleton, Texas, two stepsisters, Christy Young of Moore and Kim Penson of Angleton, Texas, 10 nephews, one niece and numerous other relatives.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Resthaven Memorial Park. The Rev. J. C. Farrand will officiate under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

Uela Ethel (Arthur) Moore

Uela Ethel (Arthur) Moore died Wednesday at Grace Living Center of Lindsay, Okla., at the age of 84.

She was born Jan. 14, 1916, to William Lavafett Arthur and Velma Maudy (Bowen) Arthur. She moved to the Seminole County area in 1930. She married Howard William Moore on Nov. 3, 1930, in Wewoka. After his death, she married Cecil Moore on Jan. 25, 1986. She was a seamstress at Custom Size Sewing Factory in Wewoka and retired in 1979.

Preceding her in death are her parents, both husbands, son Billy Howard Moore, one brother and one sister.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Joan Moore of Lindsay, one sister, Bonez Cagle of Seminole, one sister-in-law, Flossie Spoonemore of Seminole, seven grandchildren, Debbie, Delma, Cindy, Darla, Billy Jr., Deena and Terry "Bo," 14 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Services are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Little Cemetery.

Lelia Merle Attebery Brown

Shawnee resident Lelia Merle Attebery Brown died Friday in Shawnee. She was 88.

Mrs. Brown was born Aug. 4, 1911, in Shawnee to John Wesley and Anna Ellen (Clayton) Attebery. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1928 and graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a bachelor of science in elementary education in 1940.

She was a school teacher for 38 years, teaching in Acme School District, Shawnee, South Rock Creek, Earlsboro and Valley Grove.

She married Lewis Bert Robberson around 1933. She married Ralph Stephen Smith on May 1, 1948, and married Henry Clifton Brown on July 7, 1984.

She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, Kappa Kappa Iota, National Retired Teachers Association and AARP.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Relleen and Kamran Firooz, Loveland, Colo.; brother and sister-in-law, John Marvin and Lucille Attebery, Sallisaw; daughter-in-law, Janet Robberson, Texas City, Texas; grandchildren, Jon Firooz and his wife Cindy, Jennifer and Brian Firooz, all of Loveland; Kirsten Kreutz and husband David and family, Chicago, Ill.; Amy Robberson, Chicago; Erik Robberson, Houston, Texas; the John Gilbert family and the A.J. Harper family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Cliff Brown, two sons, Dr. Donald Lewis Robberson and Marvin Earl Robberson and a brother Clyde C. Attebery.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Sam Hendry officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Feed the Children.

Lella B. Gilstrap

Former Tecumseh resident Lella B. Gilstrap died Sunday in Lancaster, Calif., at the age of 95.

Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Tecumseh Cemetery. Other information is pending with Cooper Funeral Home.

Brenda Gail Lincoln

Brenda Gail Lincoln, Nixa, Mo., died Sunday in Missouri at the age of 41.

She was born Oct. 31, 1958, in Oklahoma City to Charles Franklin and Martha Fern (McWhirt) Lincoln. She attended Choctaw elementary and junior high schools and was a graduate of Cleveland (Texas) High School.

She lived in New Orleans, La., Tulsa, Norman and Missouri. She worked in a Cleveland, Texas, nursing home, as well as working as a candy striper in Cleveland hospitals.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Celina Gayle Clark.

Survivors include her son Robbie Clark of Houston, Texas; her parents; three sisters, Debra Lynn Spinks of Newalla, Sandra Joy Clouse of Tomball, Texas, and Rebekah Ann Lincoln of Houston, Texas; and one brother, Pastor Mike Lincoln of Shawnee.

Graveside services are 10 a.m. Thursday in the Star Valley Cemetery. Pastor Mike Lincoln of Mending Hearts Ministries Church under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.

Jewel Vada Ogburn

Jewel Vada Ogburn died Wednesday in Conway, Ark., at the age of 88.

She was born on Jan. 12, 1912, to Wesley and Minnie (Martin) King. She married Herbert Ogburn May 6, 1936, and moved to California. She returned to the Prague area in 1962. She was a homemaker and had lived in Conway since 1983..

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Norma Jean and Gerald Nelson of Conway, Ark., two brothers, Eugene King of Exeter, Calif., and Bob King of Sacramento, Calif., one sister, Joy Bardoni of Exeter, Calif., and two grandchildren and their families, Randall Nelson and daughter Traci of Conway, Ark., and Lynda and Dr. Anthony Russell and children, Kristen, Conor and Eric, all of Conway, Ark.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel of Prague. Brother Tim Emmons will officiate. Burial will follow in the Prague Cemetery.

Bonnie Standifer

Former Konawa resident Bonnie Standifer, Stonewall, died Saturday in Tulsa at the age of 85.

She was born Feb. 28, 1915, to Ida (Marshall) and James C. Nixon. She was married to Robert Standifer and worked for the state of Oklahoma. She lived in the Konawa area from 1966 to 1975.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Survivors include one daughter, Sue Turner of Coca, Fla., one sister, Elvina Bright of Stonewall, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at the Konawa Cemetery. The Rev. Mitch Williams will officiate under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home.

Bob Ivy

Bob Ivy died Wednesday in Tecumseh at the age of 84.

Services are pending under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.

Lella B. Gilstrap

Former Tecumseh resident Lella B. Gilstrap, 95, Lancaster, Calif., died Sunday in Lancaster, Calif.

She worked in the Pottawatomie County Treasurer's office for many years before retiring in 1970. She was a docent at Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art and a member of United Methodist Women and P.E.O.

Survivors include her daughter, Sophia Ann Villalba, son, James D. Gilstrap, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, sister, Margaret McPherson, and brother, Frank A. Shannon.

Services were Thursday at Lancaster United Methodist Church, Lancaster, Calif. Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Tecumseh Cemetery.

Local arrangements under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.

Herman Williams

Herman Williams died Thursday at Okemah. He was 80.

He was born May 3, 1920, in Arkansas to Charlie Williams and Mary Isabel (Martin) Williams. He married Lois Leona (Morphis) Williams Oct. 4, 1939, at Okemah.

He was a farmer/rancher and lived in Seminole County for the last few years but resided in Okfuskee County most all of his life. He was a member of the Bearden Holiness Church at Bearden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one infant son and two sisters.

Survivors include five daughters, Joyce Whisnant of Cromwell, Lavina Cox of Cromwell, Genita Morris of Wewoka, Sue Barnes and husband Phillip of Cromwell, Sharon Vance and husband Jim of Okemah; four sisters, Milbrey Morphis of Bearden; Charlesetta Lantis of Okemah; Oleta Dodson of Bearden; Ida Fay Whisnant of Bearden; 18 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bearden Holiness Church with Brother Boyce Dodson officiating. Services are directed by Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah.
