John Wiggins

John Wiggins of Edmond died Saturday in Edmond. He was 77.

Wiggins was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Peel, Ark., to James and Drucilla Wiggins. He lived in the Tecumseh area most of his life and moved to Edmond in the 1980s.

He was a self-employed contractor and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Guthrie.

Wiggins served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife, Linda of the home; son, Chase of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Janet Wiggins, Tecumseh; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cindi and Kendall See, Shawnee, Debbie and Gary Garcia, Tecumseh, and Linda and Danny Truelove, Shawnee; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Serena and Joe Silva, Oklahoma City, and Kim and Kenny McEwun, Hendersonville, Tenn.; stepson, Pat Aldridge, Ada; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Zula and Raymond Graves, Crescent, Ruby and Calvin Tomberlin, Moore, and Bonnie Huff, Guthrie; seven grandchildren; and six step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Violet Ann; sister, Sarah Del Chiaro; and brothers, Robert Wiggins, J.R. Wiggins and Eugene "Gene" Wiggins.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Smith's Funeral Home, Guthrie. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill, Guthrie.

Willa Jean Hogan

Willa Jean Hogan of Sparks died.

Mrs. Hogan had lived in Oxnard, Calif., for 36 years before moving to Sparks. She had worked many years as a hostess at McDonald's in Shawnee.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Hogan and David Hogan, both of Ventura, Calif.; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Chip Conway of Ventura, Calif., and Julie and Chris Naugle, Shawnee; sisters, Peggie Totten, Prague, and Barbara Fears, Wellston; brother, Fred Townsley, Chandler; grandchildren, Chad, Joseph, Natalie, Becky, Jasmine and Timothy; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Zella Townsley, and her sister, Alice Rollins.

Memorial service will be 3 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Sparks under the direction of Baggerley South Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Lester Boone "Leck" Kieffer

Lifelong Tecumseh area resident Lester Boone "Leck" Kieffer died Friday in Tecumseh. He was 94.

He was born on July 9, 1906, near Tecumseh to Frank X. and Grace (London) Kieffer. He attended North View and Forrest View schools.

He married Ruth E. James on June 3, 1933, in Tecumseh. They recently celebrated their 67th anniversary.

Kieffer worked in the oil field, farmed the Skagg City area and worked at Shawnee Milling Co., for 23 years before retiring in 1973. He was an active member of the First Church of God in Tecumseh for more than 50 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clarence Kieffer and Louie "Sug" Kieffer; son, James Lester Kieffer; and sons-in-law William Latham and Floyd Forrester.

Survivors include his wife of the home, four daughters and three sons-in-law: Irene Latham of Fort Lupton, Colo., Colleen and Kieth Stover of Tecumseh, Patsy and Otho Montgomery of Tecumseh and Charlotte and John Harrison of Tecumseh; two sons and daughters-in-law, Floyd and Anona Kieffer of Shawnee and Gary and Beverly Kieffer of Tulsa. He is also survived by three sisters, Lena Tomlinson of Overgard, Ariz., Mildred Hays of Tecumseh and Flora Lee Faulkner of Ada; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Edna Kieffer of Tecumseh and Franz "Junior" and Lee Kieffer of Yukon; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; three stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at the First Church of God in Tecumseh with the Rev. Todd Tiffin, assisted by the Rev. Herman Coffman and the Rev. Sid Tiffin, officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Chapel of Tecumseh. Burial will at Tecumseh Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the First Church of God Building Fund, 2401 E. Walnut, Tecumseh, Okla., 74873.

Nathaniel Lee Baker

Nathaniel Lee Baker was born and died on Saturday in Cushing.

He was the son of Michelle Baker of Davenport.

Survivors include his grandparents, David and Brenda Baker, Davenport; and special friends, Jeanie and Jerry Watson, Davenport.

Services will be 10 a.m. today, t Kendrick Cemetery, with the Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Chandler.

Goldia Mae Gordon

Goldia Mae Gordon died Friday. She was 67.

Mrs. Gordon was born Jan. 24, 1933, in Shawnee, the daughter of Elijah and F.L. McClain. She was a 1952 graduate of Dunbar High School.

She was a member of Bethel AME Church. Mrs. Gordon served as president of the Missionary Society.

Mrs. Gordon served as president of the Jettsetters Social Club, was a member of the Colored Women's Federation, a member of the National Football League Mothers' Club and was a member of the New Light Lodge No. 113.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings.

Survivors include her husband, James Gordon of the home; children, Avis "Loya" Scott of Denver, Colo., Eugene McClain of Shawnee, Michael "Demetria" Williams of Shawnee, Gerna Williams of Dallas, Texas, Naim Hamid and Rebecca Gordon and Darien Jamal Gordon and Angie Gamnji, all of South Lake, Texas; nine grandchildren, Loyal, Ill., Jessica, Malik, Jalil, Tariq, Nailah, Jameela, and Chris and Rodney; two sisters, Loretta McClain and Norma (Inman) Doakes, both of Shawnee; one brother, James William McClain of California; one aunt, Mary McElhanon of Shawnee; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Wesley United Methodist Church in Shawnee under the direction of Temple and Sons Funeral Directors of Oklahoma City. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee.

Sibyl A. Cagle

Sibyl A. Cagle of Shawnee died Sunday at a local hospital. She was 80.

Mrs. Cagle was born Jan. 16, 1920, in Weleetka, the daughter of Frank and Marcella (Simms) McElroy.

She married Roy Alfred Cagle on March 26, 1938, and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Cagle was member of the Church of Christ, Wanette. She attended Central Church of Christ in Shawnee.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters; one brother; and one grandson.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Milton Pitts, Altus; son, Harold Ray Cagle, Tulsa; four granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; three great-grandsons; sister, Ola Fitzwater of Shawnee; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Frances McElroy of Seminole; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Central Church of Christ with Dwayne Dennis officiating. Burial will be at Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Lora Mae Henderson

Seminole resident Lora Mae Henderson died Monday in a Seminole hospital. She was 86.

Mrs. Henderson was born March 28, 1914, in Marshall, N.C., to George and Louisa (Clark) Rector.

She moved to Seminole in 1992 from Arizona.

Mrs. Henderson was a homemaker, and a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Marvin Patrick Matthews.

Survivors include her daughter, Sylvia Matthews, Seminole; and a sister, Lena Arnold, Charlottesville, Va.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Seminole, with President Marvin Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Bobby Glen Hill

Bobby Glen Hill of Oklahoma City died Sunday in Oklahoma City. He was 70.

Hill was born April 24, 1930, in Carter, Okla., to John Solomon Hill Sr. and Bertha May (Blackmon) Hill.

He grew up in Sayre and had lived in California and Texas before moving to Oklahoma City in the late 1960s.

In 1978, he married Christine Cobb in Oklahoma City.

Hill worked for the Oklahoma County Highway Department for 19 years, retiring in 1990 as an exempt foreman.

He was a member of the Worldwide Church of God since 1961.

Hill was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, John Hill Jr., Donald Hill, James Hill and John E.P. Hill; one sister, Shirley Hill; and a grandson, Jason Bouyea.

Survivors include his wife Christine Hill of the home; three sons, Larry Lynch and Ray Lynch, both of Nothridge, Calif., and Steve Lovelady of Amarillo, Texas; two daughters, Marlene Goodman of Oklahoma City and Donna Morgan of Canyon, Texas; four grandchildren, Lisa Bouyea, Vanessa Lynch, Jordan Lovelady and Caleb Lovelady; two great-grandchildren, Michaela Bouyea and Heather Bouyea; two brothers, Darrell Hill of Stennet, Texas, and Ferrell Hill of Amarillo, Texas; one sister, Patricia Kestler of Amarillo, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Worldwide Church of God, 7221 Lyrewood Lane., Oklahoma City.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Worldwide Church of God, with Michael Rasmussen and Don Lawson, both of Worldwide Church of God, officiating. Burial will be at Romulus Cemetery, southern Pottawatomie County, under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
