Martin, Gloria M. Martin, age 72, died March 28, 2004. Services were held March 30 at Trinity Full Gospel Church, directed by the Stumpff-Nowata Funeral Home.

Goodknight, Howard Dillard Goodnight, age 76, died April 3, 2004. Services are pending with the Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville.

Rosendale, Claudette Susanne “Susie”, age 51, homemaker, died May 24, 2004. Services were held May 26 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel in Barnsdall.

Conover, Lucille H., age 91, Registered Nurse, died May 22, 2004. Services were held May 25 in the First Christian Church directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home.

Hawkins, Mary Anne, age 62, retired Phillips Petroleum Company employee died May 27, 2004. Services are pending with the Stumpff Funeral Home.

Holbert, Irene, age 86, retired Bakery co-owner, died May 25, 2004. Services were held May 27 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service was held May 27 at the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Stevens, Robert Louis “Bob”, age 80, retired City of Bartlesville water plant operator, died May 26, 2004. Services were held May 29 at the New Harmony Baptist Church with arrangements by the Stumpff Funeral Home.

Winder, Sr., Donald G., age 65, Agricultural Irrigation worker, died May 22, 2004. Services were held May 27 at the Memorial Park Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home.

McGuire, Albert, age 67, died May 24, 2004 in Tupelo, Ms. Services were held May 28 in the Ochelata Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville, Ok.

Miller, Margaret Inez, age 86, homemaker, died May 23, 2004. Services were held May 25 in the Memorial Park Cemetery directed by the Stumpff Funeral home of Bartlesville.

Dougherty, Donald Ray, age 46, land surveyor, died May 27, 2004. Services were held May 25 at the American legion Post #308 in Tulsa, arrangements by the Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville.

Buckner, Barbara Ruth, age 78, died May 25, 2004. She was a homemaker. Services were held May 29 at the First Baptist Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both of Coffeyville, Ks, under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home in Coffeyville. She is survived by her husband Craig, 3 sons, 3 daughters, 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.

Krenz, Jr., Leo, age 75, died May 24, 2004 as the result of a vehicular accident. He was a farmer and rancher. Services were held May 27 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with burial in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, both of Coffeyville, Ks, under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home of Coffeyville. He is survived by his wife Lois, 3 sons, 4 daughters, 3 brothers, 7 sisters, 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.

Hawkins, Mary Ann Todd, age 62, retired from Phillips Petroleum Company, died June 3, 2004. Services were held June 5 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel.

Sigmon, Lloyd C., age 95, Broadcast Engineer, died June 2, 2004. Services will be held in Studio City, Ca. Stumpff Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.

Sharp, John Willie “Bill”, age 84, died May 27, 2004. He was a Star Route Mail Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. Services were held June 2 at the Church of Christ with burial in the Dawes Cemetery under the direction of Seaman-Blanke Funeral Service. He is survived by his wife Iva, 2 sons, 1 daughter, 1 brother, 1 sister, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.

Johnson, Nichole Lynn, age 22, child care worker, of Dewey, died June 5, 2004. Services are pending with the Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville, Ok.

Taggart, Robert “Butch” McCormick, age 77, died May 29, 2004. He was retired from North American Rockwell Aircraft. Graveside services were held June 1 at the Restlawn Memorial Park under the direction of the Benjamin Funeral Service. He is survived by 1 sister, 1 niece, 3 nephews, his wife Susan Parrett of Ft. Washington, Md, former wife Gail Zimmerman of Broken Arrow.

Tedrick “Ted” George Ussery passes away
Tedrick “Ted” George Ussery, age 79, of Copan, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, June 3, 2004 at his residence in Copan.
Ted was born June 25, 1925, in Clairemont, Texas to Albert Henry and Ruby (Stanton) Ussery. He was the oldest of three sons, Ted, Eldon “Nubin” and Joe Dean. He grew up in Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. On September 23, 1941, Ted married Lovena Showalter and they were married for 31 years. He was drafted in the U. S. Army in 1944 serving in the European Theater, landing in Normandy and was wounded in Germany. He served one year, five months, and 26 days. He was sent to Turney General Hospital in Palm Springs, California and was discharged at Ft. Brooks, San Antonio, Texas. Following his discharge, he returned home to Hobbs, New Mexico where he began working for a freight company and later began the L. & S. Towing and Wrecking Service from 1963 to 1975. He was the father of four sons, Teddy, Joe, Dennis and Coy. Ted and Lovena moved to Copan in 1975. He worked for Bill Curtis Boat Shop and then for Don Jeffers for several years. He later worked for the Caney Hospital as a maintenance man where he retired in 1987. Lovena preceded him in death in July of 1981. He married Rebecca May Edens-Dancer on October 1, 1981. She preceded him in death on April 8, 2003.
Survivors include three sons, Teddy Ussery and wife, Sandy of Hobbs, New Mexico, Joe Ussery and wife, Judy of San Antonio, Texas and Coy Ussery and wife, Teresa of Hobbs, New Mexico; one step-daughter, Carol Lee Smasal and husband, Jerry, of Caney, Kansas; 24 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was also survived by loving neighbors, Ray and Linda Myers of Copan.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Eldon “Nubin” and one son, Dennis Dale Ussery.
Visitation hours for Ted were held at the Penwell-Gabel Graves Chapel in Caney, Kansas on Sunday, June 6, 2004 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. with the family receiving friends and loved ones at the funeral home.
Graveside services for Ted G. Ussery were held at 10 a.m., Monday, June 7, 2004 in the Pavilion at the Dewey City Cemetery in Dewey, Ok, with Reverend Stephen Ussery officiating.
The family has suggested memorial contributions to either the Copan Fire Department or the Cornerstone Hospice of Bartlesville. Memorials may be left with the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care of Penwell-Gabel Graves Chapel of Caney, Kansas.

Billie Walls Mann Memorial service June 19 at Sunnyside Cemetery
Hassie (Billie) Walls Mann, 84, passed away on October 18, 2003. She was born on July 2, 1919 in Enid, Ok to Arthur and Blanche Walls.
She graduated from high school in Caney, Ks, moved to Oklahoma City, married and bore one daughter.
She spent the war years in California working in the defense plants. She went to work for Eastern Air Lines in San Antonio, Tx in 1950 and retired after 20 years.
Soon after the death of her husband in 1983, she moved to Sun City West, Arizona.
She is survived by daughter, Judi Cheatham (Roy) of Laveen, Az, brother, Harold Walls of Caney, Ks, nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and her husband, Clifford Mann.
A memorial service was held October 24 at Laveen Baptist Church on Dobbins Rd. and 51st Ave. in Sun City.
Arrangements being handled by Menke Funeral Home of Sun City.
Memorial services will be held at Caney Sunnyside Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 19.

Isaacs, Jr., James, age 71, died July 27, 2004. Services will be held at a later date with arrangements by Stumpff Funeral Home.
