Timothy Dwaine Locust

Little Axe resident Timothy Dwaine Locust died Saturday at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was 37.

He was born April 8, 1964, in Seminole to Jack Locust and Shirley Dorsett. He was reared in Seminole and attended Pleasant Grove School. He lived in Florida for four years. He then moved to Tennessee and returned to Little Axe.

He married Doris Renee Riddick May 2, 1994, in Memphis, Tenn.

He was a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Doris, of the home; mother and stepfather, Shirley and Melvin Dorsett of Seminole; a son, Joshua Riddick of Little Axe; two daughters, Breanna Locust of Seminole and Amie Locust of Little Axe; a brother, Randy Livingston of Little Axe; a mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law, Ilean and Howard Roberts of Florida; and a father-in-law, Robert Riddick of Memphis, Tenn.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today at Little Cemetery with the Rev. David McDougal officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

Norma Ruth Franks

Former Wanette resident Norma Ruth Franks,72, died July 20 in Arkansas.

She was born July 18, 1929, in Wanette to Dave and Edith Giddens.

She was married to Claude Franks.

She is survived by her husband, Claude, of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, J.D. and Debbie Froscher of Florida; and Michael Froscher of Nashville, Tenn.; one daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Bob Duncan of Hot Springs, Ark.; three sisters, Roma Lee Hudson of Asher, Betty Duck of Shawnee, Kathleen Lindsay of Lakewood, Calif.; one brother, C.E. Giddens of Arlington, Texas; and three grandchildren.

Services were held July 23 in Hot Springs, Ark., with the Rev. Larry Williams officiating at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home in Hot Springs.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital.

Lillie Mae Callaway

Lillie Mae Callaway died Saturday in her Gonzales, Texas, home at the age of 90.

She was born March 20, 1911, in Coalgate, Okla., the daughter of James Monroe Calhoun and Sara Elizabeth Nelson.

She and Charles Fredrich Callaway were married in Duncan on April 28, 1928.

Callaway worked as a manager of Pleasanton, Texas, ISD school cafeteria for years.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gonzales and the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years. She was a past worthy matron.

Preceding her in death were her husband, parents and one sister.

Survivors include her daughters, Laquita Hackett of Shawnee, Corrine Yvonne Bragg of San Antonio, Texas, and Gayle Fern Akers of Gonzales; sons, David Monroe Callaway of San Antonio, and Kenneth Wayne Callaway of Nixon, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home in Gonzales.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Pleasanton City Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Nichols officiating.

Memorials may be made to South Texas Hospice, American Cancer Society or First Baptist Church in Gonzales.

Melba Darlene (Miller) French

Melba French. 62, died Monday in Meeker.

She was born March 24, 1939, to Edgar Nile and Opal Irene (Smith) Miller in Carney.

She married Lynn French who preceded her in death.

She was a homemaker, and was a Christian.

She also was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include one son, Chris French of Fort Smith, Ark.; two daughters, Darla Newton and Diana Noble of Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters, Barbara Keith and JoAnn Melton of Meeker; two brothers, Edgar (Joe) Leroy Miller and Jack Miller of Tulsa; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Carney Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Higgins officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Chandler.

Velma York

Services for Velma York, 91, will be 10 a.m. today at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Okemah, with Randy Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Prague Cemetery.

York died Saturday in Okemah.

She was born Nov. 15, 1909, in Prague to Robert Montgomery and Rose Amanda (Mannon) Wilson.

She married Charley York on May 25, 1930.

York attended Micawber School west of Okemah and in 1939, moved to Welty where she attended the Church of God. She was employed with a Bristow garment factory and retired after 30 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Ralph Wilson; and two sisters, Marie Dyer and Betty Riddle.

Survivors included two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Ramona York, Castle, Okla., and Wendell and Leta York, Shawnee, one sister, Mabel Witty, Waynoka; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are under the direction of Parks Brother Funeral Home, Okemah.

Clifford V. Henley

Services for Clifford V. Henley, 77, Stroud, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Stroud. The Rev. Burl Mackey will officiate. Burial will follow in Stroud Cemetery. Henley died Monday in Cushing.

He was born Nov. 26, 1923, in Okmulgee, the son of Clossie and Hattie Crawford Henley.

He was affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Stroud. Henley was a retired oilfield worker and farmer.

He married Lela Melton in Stroud on Jan. 1, 1946.

Henley was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Lela Henley, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Anna Henley, Oklahoma City, and Tim and Debbie Henley, Stroud; two daughters and a son-in-law, Edna and Bed Jackson, Pauls Valley, and Wilma Westmorland, Helen, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Parks Brothers Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.

LeRoy Morrison

LeRoy Morrison, 73, died Saturday in Oklahoma City.

He was born in Maud on May 10, 1928, the son of Roy and Ozellar (Earlie) Morrison.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, and was a truck driver.

On March 3, 1951, he and Leona Risenhoover were married in Oklahoma City.

His parents, one brother and one sister preceded Morrison in death.

Survivors include his wife of Chandler; son, Donald Morrison of Broken Arrow, Okla.; daughter, Rose Anne McDaniel of Blair, Okla.; sister, Julie Griffith of Lockuey, Texas; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City. The Rev. Mike Mitchell will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.

Nobie L. Tribbey Loudermilk

Longtime Maud resident Nobie L. Tribbey Loudermilk, 87, died Monday in Oklahoma City.

The daughter of Robert Lee and Mary Lou (Buzbee) Henderson was born Feb. 14, 1914, in Elmore City.

On Jan. 3, 1939, she was married to Elbert C. Tribbey, who preceded her in death Dec. 11, 1965. On Aug. 4, 1979, she and Raymond C. Loudermilk were married in Pauls Valley. He preceded her in death Sept. 23, 1996.

Mrs. Loudermilk was co-owner of Tribbey Radio and TV and Tribbey Treasurers.

She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Maud, the Maud Historical Society and Eastern Star Chapter No. 57.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her stepchildren, Raynette Kelly of Fort Worth, Texas, and Jerry and Jan Laudermilk of Meeker; five stepgrandchildren; several stepgreat-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Henderson of Pauls Valley. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark's United Methodist Church. The Rev. Gene Teel will officiate. Burial will be at Cummings Cemetery in Maud.

Arrangements are under the direction of Knight Funeral Home in Maud.

Irene Sue Williams Prust

Irene Sue Williams Prust, 49, Seminole, died Monday in an Oklahoma City hospital.

Services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at the Harvey Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Hightower officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Seminole.

Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Jan. 25, 1952, in Seminole to Jess Williams and Pauline (Harjo) Williams. She was married Feb. 22, 1969, in Ada to Marion E. Prust, who preceded her in death in 1981.

Mrs. Prust, a member of the Cold Springs Baptist Church, was a nurses' aide at Shawnee Medical Center and Oakridge Nursing Home in Wewoka.

Survivors include her son, Brian Otis, Oklahoma City; her stepfather, Buster Deere, Seminole; a brother, James Williams, Seminole; five sisters, Maxine Hines and Loisetta Nix, both of Seminole; Christine Hinesley, Sapulpa; Nowatha Cope, Eufaula; and Sue Caldwell, Greenwood, S.C.; eight nieces, five nephews and numerous other relatives.

Roy Goggin

Roy Goggin of Meeker died Monday at his home. He was 98.

He was born Sept. 11, 1902, in Wellston, the son of William Harvey and Nancy (Christian) Goggin. He was a farmer in Lincoln County all of his life.

His parents, his wife, Gertrude, one brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, John and Georgia Goggin of Dallas, Texas; grandson and wife, Dr. David and Janet Goggin of San Ramone, Calif.; granddaughter and husband, Gina and Mike Shipman of Lindale, Texas; great-grandchildren, Amanda and Holly Goggin of San Ramone, Calif., Noah, Sarah, Charity, Enoch, Elijah, Hezekiah and Uriah Shipman of Lindale, Texas; and many friends and relatives.

Graveside services will be noon Wednesday at the Rossville (Okla.) Cemetery. Mike Shipman will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brother Funeral Service in Chandler.
