Lilly Mae (Morrel) Prahm

Lilly Mae "Lou" (Morrel) Prahm, Macomb, died Sunday in Macomb. She was 62.

Mrs. Prahm was born Jan. 19, 1938, in Macomb, to Reece Vanderver and Lillian Gertrude Morrel.

She married William Ohmer Prahm in 1966 in Downey, Calif.

She worked in the nursing profession for more than 30 years, and had worked at the Maud Nursing Home since 1983.

Mrs. Prahm was preceded in death by her husband, William O. Prahm; parents, Reece and Lillian Morrel; and three brothers, Tommy, Reece and Billy Morrel.

Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tommy Edward Prahm, Macomb; William Vanderver and Shannon Nicole Prahm, Oklahoma City; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Lavanna Starrett, Christina and Jerome Spicer, Patsy and Roy Churchwell, Loretta and Jerry Marley, Johnnie "Dolly" and Glenn Peters; a sister-in-law, Loretta Murphy; two granddaughters, Faith and Hope Prahm, Oklahoma City; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Doris B. Petchinsky

Former Shawnee resident Doris B. Petchinsky died Monday in a local hospital. She was 79.

Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, at Downtown Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel, Shawnee.

Further announcements are pending.

Inez Barnett Miller

Inez Barnett Miller of McLoud died Saturday. She was 97.

She was born May 16, 1902, northeast of McLoud, Indian Territory. She was the daughter of Jess and May Barnett.

Miller attended the Kickapoo School and graduated from McLoud High School. She owned and operated the Double Action Cafe.

She married Al E. Miller and he preceded her in death in 1990. Miller was a member of the First Methodist Church of McLoud, W.M.U. and a Sunday School teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, W.O. "Barney" Barnett.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Freda and Charles Huddleston, Moore; grandson, Howard Huddleston, Moore; sister-in-law, Ola Barnett, McLoud; niece, Delores Dolph, Edmond.

A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday at McLoud First United Methodist Church. Burial was in Dale Cemetery, under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Frances L. Coker

Frances L. Coker, 82, of Harrah died Thursday in Harrah.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at New Hope Baptist Church. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.

Additional information is pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Cheryl Thomason

Cheryl Thomason, 43, of Shawnee died Thursday in Oklahoma City.

A service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel, Tecumseh.

Burial will be in the Tecumseh Cemetery. Other information is pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home.

Millie (Taylor) Walker

Millie (Taylor) Walker, 69, of Seminole died Thursday at an Oklahoma City hospital

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Leoma Walker of Seminole; a sister, Dorothy Moody of Seminole; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Hope Taylor of Tulsa; a brother, Ray Taylor of Seminole; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. today at Little Cemetery, with the Rev. Larry Chesser officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Swearingen Funeral Home.

Jimmie R. Eversole

Jimmie R. Eversole, 56, of Seminole died Thursday at his home.

Survivors include his mother, Mildred Eversole of Seminole; his wife, Dorothy (Bryant) Eversole, of Seminole; a son, Charles Wesley Eversole of Seminole; a daughter, Kristie Ann Earls of Seminole; a twin brother, Johnnie Eversole of Maud; a brother, Carl Roundtree of Maud; and four grandchildren.

A service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Jones officiating. Burial will be in Little Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Swearingen Funeral Home.

Dorothy E. Gilbert

Dorothy E. Gilbert died Monday in an Oklahoma City hospital. The Shawnee resident was 73.

She was born in Seminole on Sept. 28, 1927, and grew up in Seminole. The daughter of Houston and Lillian Rosilee (Monday) Neale graduated from Seminole High School.

Mrs. Gilbert, a waitress, went through training at Lear-Stigler, Federal National Bank of Shawnee and Fidelity Bank in Oklahoma City. At the time of her death she was pursuing a career in home health care.

In November of 1969, she married Kenneth E. Gilbert in Oklahoma City. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, George M. Neale.

Survivors include her husband of Shawnee; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Jane and Steve Brown and Lillian and Troy Vaughn, all of Oklahoma City; brother and sister-in-law, Alvin and Tresa Neale of St. Joseph, Mo.; stepson, Randell Gilbert of California; daughter-in-law Tanya Gilbert of Tecumseh; grandchildren, Randy and Jennifer Gilbert and Lori Dawn and Robert Mize, and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Emmett Taylor will officiate and burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Angel Deann Carter

Angel Deann Carter, infant daughter of Connie Deann Reeves and Jeremie James Carter, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, in an Oklahoma City hospital.

She was born Jan. 31, 2001, in Oklahoma City. Her parents are Shawnee residents.

Preceding her in death were her great-grandfathers, Curtis Evans; Ed Jones and Jim Lewis; and great-grandmother Irene Jones.

Survivors include her parents; her grandparents, Merl and Debra Mathis; Mack and Kathy Reeves, and Jimmy Don and Trellis Carter; aunts and uncles, John Ryan and Kristen Reeves; Darrell and Heidi Mehring; Tisha Reeves and Michelle Reeves; great-grandparents, Leona Lewis; Herman and Linda Jones; Jimmy Carter, and Dale and Jean Walls; great-great-grandparents Liza Jones and Francis Englelhart; and many other relatives.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Bill Roberts officiated. Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Larry L. Stockton

Larry L. Stockton died Tuesday at his McLoud home. He was 74.

Stockton was born Oct. 1, 1926, in Talihina to Elmer and Velma (Jones) Stockton. He was married Nov. 12, 1949, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Dorothy Smith, who preceded him in death on Feb. 13, 1995.

He attended Oscar Rose College in 1976-77 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He had worked with high voltage at Oklahoma Gas and Electric and Tinker Air Force Base, where he later became a production scheduler.

Stockton, who lived most of his life in McLoud, was a member of Church of Christ, McLoud.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Jim King, Muldrow; two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Valerie Stockton, Lexington; Fred and Judy Stockton, Wewoka; seven grandsons, a granddaughter; his brother, Kenneth Stockton, Purcell; four sisters, Blanche Cooper and Loretta Patton, both of Dale; Shirley Semple, McLoud; Patsy Kensinger, Springfield, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with Jerry Dowell officiating. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery.

Virginia Mae (Branson) Bussey

Tecumseh resident Virginia Mae (Branson) Bussey died Wednesday in Tecumseh at the age of 70.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Chapel. David Altizer will officiate and burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Other information is pending.

Freeman Trahan

Freeman "Shorty" Trahan, Shawnee, died Tuesday in Shawnee. He was 70.

Trahan was born March 22, 1930, in Welsh, La., to Felix and Margaret Trahan. He grew up in Louisiana and lived in Oklahoma City and Enis, Texas, before moving to Pottawatomie County 25 years ago.

In 1960, he married Frances Hughes in Oklahoma City.

He was a truck driver in Oklahoma City and later worked with Santa Fe Railroad for eight years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a Catholic.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Louvina Harrison and Margie Beeson.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Trahan, of the home; two sisters, Virginia Jackson, Lake Charles, La.; Margaret Hebert, Welch, La.; grandson and his wife, Doug and Lisa Presgrove; and great-grandchildren, Cory Taylor and Shaylee Presgrove.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. today at Cooper Funeral Chapel with John Mixon officiating.

Vickie Derinda Vick

Vickie Derinda Vick, who lived most of her life in the Paden area, died Tuesday in Oklahoma City. She was 44.

Mrs. Vick was born July 2, 1956, in Prague to Harlan and Peggy (Case) Wilson of Paden. She graduated high school in Antioch, Tenn. She was member of Inter-Faith Bible Church, Prague, and manager of Miss Murphy's Shop, Prague.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Kyle and Angel Vick, Brunswick, Minn.; Jason and Christina Vick, Norman; Patrick Logan Wilson, Paden; her daughter, Meredith Vick, Paden; her parents, Harlan H. and Peggy Wilson, Paden; maternal grandmother, Anna Mae Case, Prague; brother and sister-in-law, Brad and Beth Wilson, Lynchburg, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Kaitlin Vick, Kaleb Vick, Sloan Vick, Lillian Vick; and nephew, Craig Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lem Case, and grandparents, Hilbert and Elizabeth Wilson.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Inter-Faith Bible Church, Prague, with Pastor Bob Croucher officiating. Burial will follow in the Paden Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Prague.

Linda Tinker

Linda Tinker of Jenks died Wednesday. She was 56.

Mrs. Tinker was born Feb. 24, 1944, in Wagoner to Melvin and Maymie (Wilks) Smith. She was office manager for Specialties of Surgery, Jenks.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Tinker, Jenks; mother, Maymie Smith, Meeker; daughter, Tammy Brown, Tulsa; stepdaughter, Gina Howard and her husband, Scott, Shawnee; sister, Lois Burchette, Jenks; parents-in-law, Hollis and Maxine Tinker, McAlester; brothers-in-law, Ed Tinker and his wife, Nedra, Hugo; Mike Tinker and his wife, Darla, Jenks; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and three infant children, Shannon, Terry and Tracy Brown.

Private services were held in Jenks under the direction of Ninde Funeral Home, Tulsa.

Memorials may be made to the Shrine's Crippled Children's Fund, P.O. Box 1667, Muskogee, OK 74401.
