Frankie Lott

Frankie Lott of Tecumseh died Sunday. She was 83.

She was born June 9, 1917, in the Skagg City community south of Tecumseh. She was the daughter of Jess and Molly (Branson) Davis.

She attended Forest View School. She had lived in the Tecumseh area all of her life.

On Oct. 7, 1933, she married Lloyd Lott in Maud. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1982.

She owned and operated Cattleman's Cafe in Tecumseh for many years. She later worked for the Cinderella Motel Restaurant until retiring in 1983.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God and the Tecumseh Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three sons, Jerry, Darrell and Dean Lott; her parents; three brothers, Artle Davis, Ted Davis and Dan "Lank" Cartmill; and one sister, Lenora Hays.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Roy Rider of Tecumseh; three sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Shelia Lott of Tecumseh; Dale and Carol Lott of Oklahoma City; Ted and Jane Lott of Sugarland, Texas; one sister, Beulah Harmon Holt of Tecumseh; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God, Tecumseh, with the Rev. Robert Rider, pastor of First Assembly of God, Tecumseh, officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.

Imogene Young Christensen

Imogene Young Christensen died Wednesday in Georgetown, Texas. She was 89.

She was born to Vernon Earnest Young and Mary Adelia Lloyd Young in Tecumseh. She was a longtime resident of the Premont Nursing Home and a retired employee of Picadilly Cafeterias in Corpus Christi, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben "Chris" Christensen, and son, Jan Christensen of Tecumseh.

Survivors include one sister, Delia May Young Castle of Georgetown, Texas; a sister-in-law, Lucille Young of Amarillo, Texas; one nephew, James M. Young of Shawnee; two nieces, Jean Young Higley of Amarillo, Texas; Barbara Castle Henderson of Round Rock, Texas; and several great-nephews and nieces.

Burial will be in the Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.

Catherine Taylor

Catherine Taylor of Harrah died Saturday. She was 86.

She was born to Charles and Mamie (Dickson) Winget on April 12, 1914, in Sapulpa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Virgil, of the home; three sons, Robert of Anthony, Fla.; Thomas of Shreveport, La.; David of Yukon; one daughter, Patricia Speyer of Sunnyvale, Calif.; one brother, Gerald of Alvin, Texas; one sister, Betty Ortner of Riverside, Calif.; 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Summit Ridge Seventh Day Adventist Chapel, Harrah. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel/Summit Ridge Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service.

E. Glen "Jiggs" Barnett

E. Glen "Jiggs" Barnett of Tecumseh died Sunday in Shawnee. He was 80.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Waldo Young officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.

Further arrangements are pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home.

Clara Mae Seaba Evans

Clara Mae Seaba Evans died Sunday in Chandler. She was 82.

She was born Dec. 29, 1917, in Avery. She was the daughter of Clarence H. and Ida (Argo) Seaba.

She operated a tax consultant business in Chandler for many years and was a member of the Christian Church in Chandler.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alvie Evans; one grandson, Michael David Wright; one great-grandson, Skyler Dalton Ebers; a daughter-in-law, Linda Kay Evans; and two brothers, Gilbert H. Seaba and Hubert Seaba.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Carolann Kline of Chandler; David Evans of Edmond; Steven and Judy Evans of Chandler; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karla and Johnnie Wright of Depew; Kim and Bill Austin of Chandler; one brother, George Seaba of Tulsa; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at her daughter's home 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at 100 Steele, Chandler. Friends and relatives are invited.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Chandler with the Rev. Fred Rider officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethel-Greenwood Cemetery in Chandler under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Chandler.

Larry J. Husted

Larry J. Husted of Colonial Heights, Va., died Saturday in Richmond, Va. He was 57.

Husted was born May 13, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas. He was the son of James and Nita (Mulanax) Wilkins. He was a graduate of the University of New Mexico.

A retired Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves, Husted served in the Vietnam War and at the Pentagon during the Gulf War. He was chief of security at Fort Lee, Va., at the time of his death.

He had lived in Colonial Heights, Va., for the past 20 years, and had lived in Albuquerque, N.M. prior to that. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his father and mother, James and Nita Wilkins, Shawnee; sister, Landa Davis, Shawnee; and brother, Jim Wilkins, Shawnee.

He was preceded in death by his father, Quentin Husted.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Funeral Home with the Rev. Monte Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Athena P. Cole

Shawnee resident Athena P. Cole died Sunday. She was 76.

Mrs. Cole was born Sept. 13, 1923, in Dill to Newt and Bessie (Cox) Mitchell. She married Curtis Cole on Feb. 14, 1970, in Crestview, Fla. She was a member of Mashak Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Curtis, of the home; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Willie Edward and Ada Barber, Clebourne, Texas; Joel and Vicky Crane, Tecumseh; Herbert "Buster" Burdine, Shawnee; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna Sue Ainsworth, Cordell; Athena Dyer, Shawnee; Mona Lou and George Kriz, Oklahoma City; Shari Kai and Ken Clark, Oklahoma City; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; sister, Cora Mae Collins, El Paso, Texas; and many other nieces, nephews and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Bobbie Jean Costilla and Nellie Faye Mitchell; brother, Charles (Sonny) Mitchell; and grandson, Johnny Cannon Sumner Jr.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mashak Baptist Church, 9635 SE 59th St. Burial will be at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Southeast Funeral Home, Del City.

Edward J. Gray

Edward J. Gray of Shawnee died Monday at a local hospital. He was 83.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Memorial Park. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Frank Green

Frank Green died Sunday in Prague. He was 80.

He was born June 12, 1919, in Welty, the son of Ollie and Cora (Burnett) Green.

He was a resident of Prague and formerly lived in the Paden area. As a result of an accident while a young adult, he spent most of his life in the nursing home at Prague.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include one sister, Naomi Layne, Prague, several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Paden Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Heard officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.

Virginia L. (Purkhiser) Mortimer

Virginia L. (Purkhiser) Mortimer died Saturday. She was 82.

She was born May 5, 1918, in Webb City. Her family moved to Oklahoma City in 1930.

She attended and graduated from Central High School in 1936. She married Leo F. Mortimer on Nov. 9, 1941.

In 1951 they adopted their first daughter, Janie Lou (Mortimer) Dolen. In 1963 they adopted a son and two more daughters. Gregory Morris Mortimer, Patricia Ann (Mortimer) Held and Kathleen (Mortimer) Nicklas.

For the last five years she lived in Texas with her son and his family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Sue (Claxton) Purkhiser; her husband, Leo, and her sister, Mary Louise (Purkhiser) Harrell.

Survivors include her son, Gregory and his wife Sue of Duncanville, Texas; three daughters, Janie and her husband Sam Dolen of Glenpool; Patricia and her husband Bill Held of Edmond and Kathleen and her husband David Nicklas of Shawnee; a brother-in-law, Gene Harrell of Albuquerque, N.M.; numerous nieces and nephews; a special grandson, Douglas Brownell; six granddaughters and three grandsons.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery Chapel. A Rosary service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Smith and Kernke, NW 23rd.

Rinehart E. Seebeck

Rinehart E. Seebeck died Monday in Wellston. He was 70.

He was born Sept. 11, 1929, in Wellston, the son of Fritz William Seebeck and Anna Marie (Stein) Seebeck.

He grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Britton High School. He married Betty Lou Pechacek in Oklahoma City on Aug. 18, 1956.

They lived in the Oklahoma City area until 1972, when they moved to Wellston. He had lived in Wellston since that time.

He retired from Safeway-Homeland Stores as a truck driver after 40 years. He was also a mechanic, farmer and rancher.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wellston.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Lou Seebeck, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Larry Don and Sherry Seebeck, Sparks; one daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda Kay and Kevin Koenning, Corpus Christi, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Rosalie Seebeck, Bethany; four grandchildren. Stephanie, Larry, Justin and Kayelyn; and one great-grandson, James.

Viewing will be from 1 p.m. Tuesday until 9 a.m. Wednesday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Wellston.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wellston with the Rev. Chad Bird officiating. Burial will follow in the Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Chandler.

Serena Milissa Wintz

Serena Milissa Wintz died Sunday in Stroud at age 94.

She was born Jan. 27, 1906, in Van Buren, Ark., to William L. and Eva (James) Brewer. She was a Davenport resident for many years and was a member of the First Christian Church of Stroud.

She married Ira C. Wintz on June 2, 1926, in Davenport.

Survivors include four sons, Bill Wintz, Moore; Luman Wintz and Richard Wintz, both of Stroud; Carl Wintz, Pryor; three daughters, Treva Gooch and Wanda Gilman, both of Stroud; Gayla Keene, Chandler; brother, Otis V. Brewer, Wagoner; 25 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, two brothers and 10 sisters.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Brewer and the Rev. Lloyd Robertson officiating. Burial will be in the Davenport Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Stroud.
