Jimmy Clark

Jimmy Clark died Friday. He was 36.

He was born Sept. 20, 1963, at Denver, Colo., to Richard Earl Clark and Donna Jean Adams Clark. He lived in Mason, Okla., all of his life and attended Mason High School.

He worked at Right of Way Maintenance and worked for the past two years at S&W Mowing.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Kerry.

Survivors include parents, Richard and Donna Clark of Okmulgee; paternal grandparents, M.R. and Mae Clark of Okmulgee; two sons, Mitchell R. Clark of Haydonville, Okla., and Zachery J. Clark of Denton, Texas; three brothers, Richard Clark of Okmulgee, Daryl Clark of Okemah and Kevin Scott of McAlester and one sister, Tracy Rene´ Baily of Tulsa.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. today at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel at Okemah with the Rev. Bob Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Okfuskee Cemetery.

Funeral services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah.

John A. Morris

John A. Morris died Monday in Tulsa. He was 85.

He was born April 10, 1915, at Marlow to Lee Morris and Ruby Harmon Morris. He married Bonnie Taylor on April 16, 1937, at Okemah.

He was in the Oklahoma National Guard (Thunderbirds 45th Division). He returned to Okemah in 1988. He was a retired pipe fitter.

He was a member of the Okemah Masonic Lodge and was a 50-year Master Mason.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Judy Klutts.

Survivors include wife, Bonnie Taylor Morris of Okemah; two sons, Benny J. Morris of Avondale, Ariz., and Kerry Morris of Vallejo, Calif.; one daughter, Cammy Elliott of Okemah; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah.

Betty McGlocklin

Betty McGlocklin of Harrah died Monday. She was 70.

She was born to Leon and Mildred (Fankboner) McGlocklin May 29, 1930, in Oklahoma City. She was employed at the Harrah Post Office until her 1977 retirement.

Survivors include her husband Carl of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Carl Jr. and Ruby of Oklahoma City; two brothers, James of Texas and Robert of Oklahoma City; and many other family member and friends.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Asa Smith Funeral Chapel, Harrah, with burial at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah. Arrangements are being directed by Asa Smith Funeral Service.

Teri E. Milsap

Teri E. Milsap of Oklahoma City died Saturday in Norman. She was 55.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery.

Further arrangements are pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home.

Pat Johnson

Pat Johnson of Tecumseh died Sunday in Shawnee. She was 55.

She was born April 22, 1945, in Sacramento, Calif., the daughter of James and Maxine (Gammel) Cook.

She attended Shawnee schools, where she graduated. She was reared in Colorado, living most of her life in Shawnee. She resided in Tecumseh for the past 12 years.

On Nov. 22, 1972, she married Kenney Johnson in Seymore, Ind.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Church of the First Born, Shawnee.

Preceding her in death were her father and one brother, Bennie Cook.

Surviving are her husband Kenney Johnson of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Shawn and Pete Suthers of Arnett, Okla.; her mother, Maxine Cook of Shawnee; sister Claudine Wiginton of Shawnee; brothers, Robert Wayne Cook and Richard Cook, both of Shawnee, and Hal Cook of Eufaula; grandsons, Michael Johnson, Jeffery Johnson, Mark Suthers, David Walker and Ethan Suthers; granddaughters, Kelli Bohannon, Randa Bohannon and Lori Johnson; stepson Gary Johnson of Shawnee; stepdaughter Penny Bohannon; and several nieces and nephews.

No services will be held.

Jewel E. Robbins

Seminole resident Jewel E. Robbins died Sunday at a local hospital. She was 70.

Mrs. Robbins was born Jan. 26, 1930, in Retta, Ark., to Murl and Daisy (Bohannon) Kelley. She married J.C. Robbins on July 7, 1950, in Seminole.

She was employed as a carrier for the Seminole Producer for 28 years. She was a member of the First Church of God, Seminole, where she was a Sunday school teacher for 30 years. She was a member of the Seminole American Legion Auxiliary. She was also active at the Seminole Senior Citizens Center.

Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Cook, Kathy Scott and Connie Robbins, all of Seminole; grandchildren, Jerry and Jancy Cook and Randy Cook, all of Seminole, Amy and William Wilkins, Lewisville, Texas, Karen Scott, Shawnee, and Bradley Scott, Seminole; one great-grandson, Justin Ronald Cook, Seminole; brother, Jesse Kelley, Marina, Calif.; and special friend, Cecil Combs, Seminole.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband on Aug. 29, 1990.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Church of God, Seminole, with the Rev. Roger Brewer officiating. Burial will be in Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Leon Mings

Meeker resident Leon Mings died Wednesday in Meeker. He was 64.

Mings was born Feb. 28, 1936, in Lamesa, Texas, to Fred and Stella (Whitlock) Mings. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and worked in real estate sales in the Meeker area.

Survivors include his brother, Doyle Mings, Meeker; two sisters, Cordelia Mings and Vondell Stchrom, both of California, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at the Rossville Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Chandler, with the Rev. Thom Chappelle officiating.

Fred C. Beushausen

Fred C. Beushausen died Thursday in Midwest City. He was 94.

Beushausen was born May 14, 1906, in Ashton, Neb., to Julius and Anna Knutson Beushausen. He moved to Oklahoma in 1912.

Following graduation from Taloga High School, he moved to Oklahoma City where he worked as a desk clerk at the Huckins Hotel while he attended business college. In 1928, he was employed by OG&E as time keeper at the Horse Shoe Lake Station and moved to Harrah.

He married Virginia Russell on July 3, 1929, in Guthrie. He served in the U.S. Army Special Troops 4th Division during World War II and was discharged in 1945.

He built apartments and homes in Harrah for about 50 years and retired from OG&E in 1971.

He was a member of Lion's Club, precinct official for the Oklahoma County Election Board and member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sisters-in-law, Floy York, Betty Russell and Josephine Russell; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; his parents, sister, Nellie Beushausen Frazee; and brother, Harry Beushausen.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Harrah. Burial will be at Memory Lane Cemetery, Harrah, under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 1 N. Hudson, Oklahoma City, Okla., 73102.

Elizabeth Jean Carson Trent

Elizabeth Jean "Betty" Carson Trent, 76, of Norman died at her home Sunday.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Regena A. and Mark Ma of Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister, Doris Thomas of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

No service is planned. Burial will be in the Prague Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Prague.

Phillip McCray

Phillip McCray, 41, Antioch, Tenn., died Saturday in VanBuren, Ark.

McCray was born July 2, 1960, in Oklahoma City to Marvin Kenneth and Ellen (Fowler) McCray. He grew up in Pink and attended Tecumseh Schools. He had lived in Tennessee for the past 10 years.

He worked as a welder in metal fabrications.

He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Ellen McCray, Tecumseh; stepson and daughter-in-law, David and Leigh Ann Johnston, Laverne, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Spencer Johnston, Sydney Johnston and Nikki Murphy, all of LaVerne, Tenn.; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Marty and Polly McCray, Shawnee, and Rick McCray, Oklahoma City; a sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Don New, Oklahoma City; five nephews; two nieces; and aunt and uncle, J.T. and Dorothy McCray, Del City.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Ronnie Churchwell officiating. Burial will follow in Maysville Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Lester Morris Blackstone

Shawnee resident Lester Morris "Red" Blackstone, 74, died Friday at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Matthews, the Rev. Larry Goins and the Rev. Phil Thompson officiating.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Home.

Dr. Kenneth A. Cherry

Dr. Kenneth A. Cherry, 69, Shawnee, died Wednesday at his residence.

He was born Sept. 13, 1932, to Cecil and Virginia Fike Cherry in Detroit, Mich.

He attended high school in Michigan and graduated from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. He was a doctor of chiropractic for 30 years in Oklahoma and a resident of Shawnee for 15 years.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict, received the Korean Service ribbon, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Merit Unit Commendation and the Korean Service Ribbon with two Bronze Service Stars.

Cherry was a member of Joint Chiropractic Association of Oklahoma, State Board of Chiropractic Examiners and Federation of Licensing Board of Chiropractic.

Cherry married Jane Hood in 1960 in Las Vegas, Nev.

He is preceded in death by one brother, Charles Cherry, and his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Cherry, of the home; four children, Kenneth Cherry Jr., Arizona, Susan Scott, Seminole, Charles Cherry, Boley, and Jeffrey Cherry, Ft. Gibson; eight grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday at Resthaven Funeral Home, the Rev. Harry Smith officiating. Burial follows in Resthaven Memorial Park.
