Lanell J. Hollinsworth

Edmond resident Lanell J. Hollinsworth died Sunday at an Edmond hospital. She was 59.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel. Burial will be 2 p.m. at Duncan Cemetery.

Further arrangements will be announced by Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Mackenzie Paige Noble

Mackenzie Paige Noble of Shawnee died Sunday at a local hospital. She was the infant daughter of Nick and Jackie Noble.

She was born March 19, 2000, in Shawnee to Nick and Jackie Noble.

Survivors include her parents, Nick and Jackie Noble, Shawnee; sisters, Bailey and Madison Noble, Shawnee; maternal grandparents, Dick and Becky Scott, Springfield, Mo.; and paternal grandparents, the Rev. George and Janet Noble, Liberty, Mo.

No services are scheduled.

Memorials may be made to University Baptist Church Nursery Fund, 2515 N. Kickapoo, Shawnee, Okla., 74801.

Harold Paul Jones Jr.

Shawnee resident Harold Paul Jones Jr. died Sunday at his home. He was 58.

He was born June 11, 1941, in Maud to Mary Irene Warren and Harold Paul Jones Sr. He attended school in Maud.

He retired from the Navy after 20 years and then went to work in a steel mill in Fort Worth, Texas. He later moved to Shawnee and retired from Mobil Chemical in 1999.

He served in Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife of five years, Keri Jones, of the home; sons, Harold Paul Jones III, Marshall, Ark., James A. Jones, Shawnee, and Kenneth Ray Jones, Dale; daughter, Mandy L. Heck, Shawnee; brother, Brother Justin Jones, O.S.B., Shawnee; sister, Nancy T. Ball, Carthage, Texas; uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Warren, Shawnee; five grandchildren; and many friends.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Cemetery with Brother Justin Jones, O.S.B., officiating under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Zhao-Yun Yao

Zhao-Yun Yao of Shawnee died Saturday in a local hospital. She was 69.

She was born Jan. 29, 1931, in China and later worked as a laborer in that country. She married Qi Ming Xu in 1951. She came to Oklahoma from China nine years ago. The last six years she has lived in Shawnee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her husband, Qi Ming Xu of Shawnee; three sons, Ling Hui of Shawnee, Men Hui of China and Vid Hui of Las Vegas, Nev.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. John Michael Hallford officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Joe Wayne Holman

Joe Wayne Holman died Sunday in Prague. He was 79.

He was born Sept. 21, 1920, in Paden. He was the son of William Cook and Mary (Covey) Holman.

He married Thelma Emmerson Nov. 26, 1947, in Perkins.

Holman lived in Okfuskee County all his life and was a member of the Methodist Church and the American Legion. He graduated from Okemah High School in 1939 and earned a bachelor of science degree from Oklahoma A&M College.

He was commander of the 418th Night Fighters, the first Radar Division of the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

From 1948 until 1966, he taught vo-ag at Paden High School. He then worked as a rural mail carrier from 1966 to 1986 in the Paden area. He was a licensed electrician and served on the board of directors for the Okfuskee County Soil Conservation District.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two half-sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Holman, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Barbara Holman, Prague, and Ken and Dorothy Holman, Paden; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Mary Alice Holman, Okemah; sisters, Mabel Ray, Paden, and Avis Melson, Tulsa; and six grandchildren, Lana Holman and fiance Robbie Rainwater, Prague, Brinae Holman, Michel Holman, Alex Holman, Anthony Holman and Joseph Holman.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Prague with Dr. Ben Husted and the Rev. Jim Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Paden Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brother Funeral Home in Prague.

Ruby Irene Harmon

Ruby Irene Harmon, Phoenix, Ariz., died Feb. 8, in Phoenix. She was 81.

She was born April 11, 1918, in McMillan. She was married to Thomas Arvil Harmon Feb. 12, 1939, in Shawnee.

Mrs. Harmon was a member of the Catholic Church.

Survivors include three sons, Benny, Bobby and Frank Harmon; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son.

A prayer service will be 6:30 p.m. Monday at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Cemetery with the Rev. Maurus Jaeb, O.S.B., officiating, under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

Irene M. Beil

Irene M. Beil of Shawnee died March 12, at a local nursing home. She was 88.

She was born June 17, 1911, in Denver, Colo. She was the daughter of Cyrus Beil and Maud (Irwin) Beil.

She graduated from Tulsa Central High School in May 1929. She worked many years for St. John's Hospital in Tulsa before her retirement in February 1977.

Miss Beil spent several years caring for her ill father while living at Pure Oil Camp in Seminole until his death in 1946. She moved to Shawnee in 1986 and became a resident in Shawnee Care in 1988.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father, two brothers, Clarence Beil and Irwin Beil.

Survivors include two nephews, Darrell Beil, Edmond; Charles Beil, Big Spring, Texas and grand-nephew, Greg Beil.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Clewell officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Tulsa.

Joe Lehman

Joe Lehman of Macomb died Thursday in Tribbey.

He was born Dec. 16, 1935, in Pauls Valley. He was the son of Frank and Lucille (Haas) Lehman.

He attended Pauls Valley High School. Lehman had lived in Macomb and in Tribbey for the past 22 years. On July 28, 1959, he married Beverly K. Heath in Gainesville, Texas.

She preceded him in death on Nov. 27, 1971. Lehman has been in the grocery business all of his life, starting in Humpty Dumpty in Pauls Valley.

He then owned his own store and was later store manager for Pratt's in Shawnee and Tecumseh. He was also a cattleman, horseman and involved in construction.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one grandson, Jason LeRoy Rushing, and one sister, Virginia Bridges.

Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Clistia Rushing, Chickasha; Susan and Jared Ricco, Rancho Santa Margarita; Jamie Lehman, Tecumseh; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Jody Lehman, Pauls Valley; Gary Don and Lynn Lehman, Greensburgh, Kan.; Eric W. Lehman, Chickasha; Bryan and Elizabeth Lehman, Chickasha; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leo and Jane Lehman, Sherman, Texas; Jerry and Norman Lehman, Pauls Valley; nine grandsons, Caleb Lehman; Jason Rushing, Nathan Rushing, Jesse Rushing, Vincenzo Ricco, Giordono Ricco, Danny Lehman, Shawn Lehman and Justin Lehman; one great-granddaughter, Cassy Lehman.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Roe, Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Tribbey Cemetery.

Lula Williams

Former Shawnee resident Lula Williams of Las Vegas, Nev. died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was 81.

Mrs. Williams was born Oct. 13, 1918, in Wewoka to Joseph Seborn McDonnel and Maude Knight. She married Orval Williams on March 29, 1939, in Wewoka. He preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 1996.

She was raised in Oklahoma and Arkansas. She and her husband lived in Shawnee before moving to Long Beach, Calif. in 1948. They later moved to Lucerne Valley, Calif. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include three daughters, Dorothy Melton and Mary Jane Berg, both of Las Vegas; Carol Still, Yucca Valley, Calif.; two sons, Eddie Williams, Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; and Donald Williams, Las Vegas; sister, Evelyn Miranda, Chouteau, Okla.; 24 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Neal Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.

Frances Delores Wisniewski

Midwest City resident Frances Delores "De" Wisniewski died Friday in Midwest City. She was 70.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Dale Hartman officiating. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery.

Bettye Louise Silas McBride

Shawnee resident Bettye Louise (Poe) Silas McBride died Saturday at a local hospital. She was 62.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Joe Faircloth, the Rev. Kreston Norholm and the Rev. Tom Harrison officiating.

Thelma Jo Mooney

Tecumseh resident Thelma Jo Mooney died Friday at Sunset Estates Nursing Home, Tecumseh. She was 84.

Mrs. Mooney was born April 24, 1915, in Trousdale to Roy Sanders and Ona Florence Jenkins.

She grew up in the Trousdale and Lexington areas and moved to the Duncan area with her husband, James R. Mooney, in the 1960s. She moved back to Lexington in 1990.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Voncille and Hershel Megehee, Tecumseh; sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Ruth Mitchell, Davis; Roy and Brenda Mitchell, Texarkana, Texas; sisters, Denzil Mayberry, Lexington; Helena Carr, Oklahoma City; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alberta and Howard Hayes, and Arlene and Louis Crump, all of Lexington; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Ona Sanders; and husband, James R. Mooney, in 1989.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Rose Hill Pentecostal Church of God, east of Lexington, with the Rev. Ron Vannsell officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery, east of Lexington, under the direction of Wilson-Little Funeral Home, Purcell.

George H. Way

George H. Way, 76, Meeker, died Friday at a Meeker nursing home.

Way was born July 19, 1923, in Shawnee to J.W. and Maud Way. He married Edith Grizzle in 1948.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the submarine tender, the USS Sperry. After the war, he returned to Shawnee and worked as an electrician until his retirement.

Survivors include his brother, J.W. Way, Riverside, Calif.; sister, Nellie Blount, Sonora, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Sue Way, Meeker; two grandsons, Tim and Chris Way, Norman; several stepchildren, stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, Julia Daily and Laura Guinn, and two brothers, David and Ray Way.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Emmanuel Episcopal Church with the Rev. Janie Kirt Morris officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Shawnee, World War II Veterans Memorial or Emmanuel Episcopal Church Memorial Fund.
