Danny Ray Teafatiller

Danny Ray Teafatiller died Sunday in Okemah. He was 48.

Teafatiller was born Oct. 1, 1951, in Sacramento, Calif., to Milton James Teafatiller and Ina Mae Adams Teafatiller. He was a 1968 graduate of Mason High School and was employed with Citizens State Bank. He had lived in Okfuskee County since 1959.

Survivors include his mother, Ina Mae Teafatiller, Okemah; brother, Billy Gene Teafatiller, Mt. Pleasant, Texas; four sisters, Linda Ayler, Harrah, Vickie Taylor and Sandra Miozzi, both of Canon City, Colo., and Kathy Jane Teafatiller, Okemah.

He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Okemah, with the Rev. Carl Clay officiating. Burial will be in Welty Cemetery.

Emily M. Naughton

Choctaw resident Emily M. Naughton died Sunday. She was 92.

Mrs. Naughton was born March 13, 1908, in Maud to John and Hanna (Scott) Ogee.

She worked 30 years for the Oklahoma County Assessor's office and was a member of the Jones Chapter Eastern Star.

Survivors include her son, Harold Naughton Jr.; brother, Phillip Ogee Sr.; five grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Naughton Sr.; daughter, Jan Naughton Lemley; sister, Marjorie Dodd; and two brothers, Chester and Johnnie Ogee.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at The First United Methodist Church, Choctaw. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, McAlester, under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service.

Lottie L. Miller

Former Shawnee resident Lottie L. Miller died Saturday in Cedartown, Ga. She was 103.

Mrs. Miller was born Jan. 31, 1897, northwest of Little Rock, Ark., to Mark and Amanda Goodson. The family moved to the Shawnee area in 1908.

She attended Pioneer School and Dale School before attending Shawnee High School, where she graduated in 1920.

She taught school in Lincoln County, then attended business colleges in Oklahoma City and Shawnee. She worked with a real estate agency and in banks in Little Rock, Ark., and Oklahoma City.

She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church, Shawnee, where she served as secretary in the Sunday school department and was a member of the Hallelujah Chorus senior adult choir.

She married Jim Miller on Jan. 1, 1931.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Newton and Mary Catherine (Brown) Miller, Cedartown, Ga.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and nieces, Vashti Cutlip and Marge March, both of Shawnee; and Iris Purdue, Pennsylvania; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1952; and niece, Vivian McMillan.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Shawnee, under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Mabel C. Williams

Mabel C. Williams of Shawnee died Tuesday in a local hospital at the age of 78.

She was born Jan. 7, 1923, in Noble, the daughter of Oliver Victor and Zora Bell (Blazer) Coker. She attended Macomb High School and was baptized at Etowah Baptist Church near Noble.

She married Fred Williams in Norman on Oct. 31, 1942, and had been a resident of Shawnee since that time. She served as bookkeeper for the family business, Williams Transmission, for 43 years.

Mrs. Williams was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for fourth-graders for 30 years. She was a member of Women on Mission group and Business and Professional Women's Club.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Clifford Coker and Ralph Coker.

Surviving are her husband, Fred Williams, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Jenise and Rick Jackson, Springfield, Mo.; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Pat Williams, Shawnee; grandchildren, Matt Jackson and his wife, Jennifer; Julie Jackson, all of Springfield, Mo.; Michelle Williams, Boulder, Colo.; Jeremy Williams and his fiancée, Jacqueline Hoskins, Brazil, Ind.; three sisters-in-law, Phyllis Coker, Maryane Tate and Wyema Williams, all of Shawnee; a brother-in-law, Ferrell Williams, Macomb, and many other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Moore and the Rev. Dr. Larry Adams officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church new building fund.

Roy Lee Fowler

Roy Lee Fowler, 89, died Tuesday at a Seminole hospital.

The Seminole resident was born May 15, 1911, in Carter, Okla., the son of Zeck Fowler and Nona Bell (Dension) Fowler.

On June 11, 1935, he married Hazel Marie Gillespie in Wichita Falls, Texas.

The farmer and construction worker moved to Seminole from Wichita Falls 55 years ago.

Preceding him in death were his daughter, Nancy Grant; grandson, Ronnie Grant; and his parents.

Survivors include his wife of the home; son, Freddie Fowler of Wichita Falls; daughter, Mary Gambill of Wichita Falls; brothers, Alferd Fowler of Iowa Park, Texas, and Jim "Red" Fowler of Ada; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel, Seminole. The Rev. Roger Brewer will officiate. Burial will be in Little Cemetery.

Elizabeth Marquis

Elizabeth "Bess" Marquis, 73, Seminole, died Tuesday at a Seminole hospital.

She was born Dec. 7, 1927, in Boley, the daughter of Evan Morrison and May (Hunt) Morrison. She spent most of her life in Seminole.

A homemaker, she was married to Delmar D. Marquis, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Marquis of Atoka, Carroll Marquis of Wolf and Rick Marquis of Seminole; four daughters, Shirley Nunnelley of Seminole, Donna Nail of Eagle River, Alaska, JoAnn Morphis of Cromwell and Kay Ramsey of Tecumseh; three brothers, Fred Morrison and James Morrison, both of Seminole, and Richard Morrison of Madill; three sisters, Carolyn Haworth and Betty Kean, both of Seminole, and Cory Lee Hunt of Shawnee; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel, Seminole. The Rev. Robert Hightower and the Rev. Card Whitfield will officiate. Burial will be in Little Cemetery.

The casket will be open until service time and will not be re-opened after the service.

Donald Eugene McDougal

Donald Eugene McDougal, 64, Stroud, died Tuesday in Stroud.

He was born Sept. 26, 1936, in Broken Arrow to Othar Milard McDougal and Myrtle Barnhill Thompson. He served in the U.S. Marines.

McDougal, a Stroud resident for 13 years, owned and operated service stations and was affiliated with Chapel of Faith Church, Stroud.

Preceding McDougal in death was his father.

Survivors include his mother of Stroud; brother, Ronnie McDougal of Oregon; aunt, Geneva Peterson of Stroud; cousins, Richard Ellis of Stroud and Betty VanDusen of Santa Rosa, Calif.; as well as several other family members.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Stroud Cemetery. The Rev. Yvonne Jones will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Services, Stroud.

S.T. McNutt

S.T. McNutt, 83, Shawnee, died Monday in a local hospital.

He was born April 28, 1917, in Corbit, Okla., the son of Emmit Edgar McNutt and Tishie Ella (Tipton) McNutt. He attended school in Lexington, Okla.

On July 23, 1938, he and Inez Crosslin were married in Lexington.

McNutt, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, was a longtime member of the Central Church of Christ.

A carpenter, McNutt worked with several companies, including R.C. Nicholson Co. and Ernie Cowan Co., retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Carpenters' Union for more than 50 years.

He had lived in Shawnee for 54 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Earl McNutt and Clayborn McNutt; three sisters, Vera McNutt, Ruby Carter, and Nina Davison; and two granddaughters, Cheryl Smith and Diana Anthony.

Survivors include his wife of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Birdie McNutt of Terrell, Texas; Don and Dixie McNutt of Macomb, and Aubrey and Kathy McNutt of Garland, Texas; four daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Thurman Smith of Harrah; JoAnne and Harry Barlow of Dallas; Tina and Rick Parker of Shawnee, and Sharon and Veldon Spicer of Asher; 25 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Central Church of Christ, 10th and Bell Streets. Don Sullivan will officiate. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Central Church of Christ.

William M. Cunningham

William M. Cunningham, 76, Shawnee, died Tuesday in Norman.

Services are pending with Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Frances Miller

Former Shawnee resident Frances "Betty" Miller died Tuesday in her Drumright home. She was 87.

She was born April 18, 1913, in Wood County, Texas, to William and Jessie Kestler and grew up in Palestine, Texas.

Mrs. Miller, the city librarian in Drumright for many years, was a member of Church of Christ, Scientist.

On Jan. 21, 1949, she was married in Seminole to Francis A. Miller, who preceded her in death Jan. 2. 1964.

They lived in Shawnee for 20 years, moving in 1970 to Drumright.

Also preceding her in death were parents, brother, William Kestler, daughter, Kay Hill, and two grandchildren.

Survivors include her brother, Dave Kestler of Tyler, Texas; sister, Virginia Kestler of Oklahoma City; half brother, Howard Pryor of Drumright, and two grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Pebble Freeman

Pebble Freeman, 89, Nicoma Park, died Tuesday.

He was born May 18, 1911, in Stigler to Bob and Rosie (Berryhill) Freeman.

On July 23, 1932, he and Mary Emma Hornberger were married in Britton, Okla. Freeman served during World War II for the Army Air Corps.

Preceding him in death are his parents and brothers, Robert E. Lee Freeman and Earline Freeman.

Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Della Stewart and Opal Norwood, and many other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City.
