Jean V. Brodt

Shawnee resident Jean V. Brodt, 82, died Sunday at a local nursing home.

She was born Jan. 23, 1919, in Ary, Ky., to Victor and Amy (Campbell) Stacy.

She grew up and attended school in Kentucky.

She married Frank Brodt May 9, 1944, in Columbia, S.C.

Brodt began working for the Shawnee Sylvania Plant in 1952 and worked there until the plant closed in 1962. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Shawnee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and a brother.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Brodt, of the home; a daughter, Eileen Pascal, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank D. and Sue Brodt of Mt. Lebanon, Pa., and Charles E. and Cathy Brodt of Edmond; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Aileen Klien of Harrodsburg, Ky.; a brother and sister-in-law, Rex and Polly McDaniel of Hazard, Ky.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Craig officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

The family has designated the Cancer Center, Unity Hospital North, Shawnee, OK 74804 as appropriate for memorial contributions.

Florence I. Huckabee

Florence I. Huckabee, 73, Shawnee, died Saturday at an Oklahoma City Hospital.

She was born May 12, 1928, in Pottawatomie County to James Thomas Denney and Ethel Gwin Denney. She grew up in and around Shawnee and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1947.

Huckabee was a nurse's aid for 20 years, working at City Hospital, Broadway Hospital and Colonial Estates Nursing Home.

On June 7, 1957, she and Douglas Lee Huckabee were married in Shawnee.

She was an active member of the Wesley United Methodist Church of Shawnee and was baptized at Garden Grove Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Lorene Ryan.

Survivors include a sister, Faye Renegar, Shawnee; four nieces and their spouses, Shirley and Randy Orr, Holdenville, Paula Eastham, Edmond; Lori and David Hagans, Shawnee, Amy and Jay Seckel; four nephews and their spouses, Randy and Connie Ryan, Ada, Raymond Ryan, Bowlegs, Bob and Debi Renegar, Shawnee, Gary and Jean Ryan, Seminole; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Lois and Howard Groves, Shawnee, Lorene Quigley; Washington; Forestine Huckabee, Colorado; a large number of great-nieces and nephews and many friends.

Services will 2 p.m., today at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Burris officiating. Burial follows in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Maxine L. Bracksieck

Maxine L. Bracksieck, 65, of Shawnee died Saturday at her home.

She was born April 30, 1936, in Stone County, Mo., the daughter of O.D. and Lois Mae Langston.

She attended school in Davenport, Okla.

Bracksieck married Vondal D. Bracksieck on Sept. 23, 1953, in Davenport. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Holiness Church of Shawnee, where she was secretary for several years. At First United Pentecostal Church in Lodi, Calif., she was president of the ladies auxiliary.

She had lived in Shawnee since 1973, having moved here from Lodi.

She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Janet Sue Buerer.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Vickie E. Tubbs of Jasper, Ala.; two sons, Charles D. Bracksieck of Tulsa and Gregory A. Bracksieck of Linden, Calif.; her mother, Lois Mae Langston of Escalon, Calif.; two brothers, Jim G. Langston of Denair, Calif., and Dick Langston of Oklahoma City; and seven grandchildren.

A service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with Pastor Vance Bowman officiating. Burial will be in the Davenport Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Rena Lilly

Rena Lilly, 90, died Thursday at an Oklahoma City hospital.

Services are pending and will be announced by Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Prague.

Payton Alexander Bullock

Payton Alexander Bullock, 30-day-old son of Robert and Marcie Bullock, died Tuesday.

Survivors include his parents, three brothers, Jordan Bullock, Ethan Bullock, and Aaron Bullock; four sisters, Eden Bullock, Lauren Bullock, Megan Bullock and Caitlin Bullock; grandparents, Stella and Louis Gomes, James N. Gay and Karen Buhler.

Services will be 1 p.m.. Saturday at Western Hills Church, 401 S.W. 44th, Oklahoma City. Burial follows in Fairview Cemetery. Vondel L. Smith and Son Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Irvin W. Burrough

Irvin W. "Wally" Burrough, 81, of Shawnee died Wednesday at an Oklahoma City hospital.

He was born Feb. 25, 1921, in Dallas, Texas, to Thomas and Wanda (Campbell) Burrough.

He attended school in Oklahoma.

He was a salesman for J.C. Penny for 20 years and worked at Tinker Air Force Base for 20 years until his retirement in 1983.

He married Anita Zelda Beller on March 16, 1940, in Shawnee.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; three brothers, Pat Burrough, Roy Burrough; and Arnold (Tony) Burrough; and one grandson.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Tim Taron of Shawnee; one son, Brian Burrough of Noble; nine grandchildren, Tracy, Brian, Brad, Meredith, Ghislaine, Beth, Jared, Daniel and Mark; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Tom Murphy of Citrus Heights, Calif.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A prayer service will be 7 p.m. today at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Home.

Edna Iola Dixon

Edna Iola Dixon, 84, of Shawnee died Sunday at a Midwest City nursing home.

She was born Nov. 26, 1917, in Shawnee to William and Lora (Chandler) Tucker.

She attended Shawnee schools and lived in Shawnee all of her life.

She was employed as a waitress for Bea Britton's restaurant for many years.

She married Earnest Dixon on Dec. 24, 1939. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1970.

She attended the Church of Christ of Shawnee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with Don Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Home.

Stella Dalton

Tulsa resident Stella Dalton, 95, died Sunday at a Tulsa Nursing Home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel. Further announcements will be made by Roesch-Walker Funeral Home.

Aletha Pittman

Aletha (Martin) Pittman, 92, of Tecumseh died Sunday.

Survivors include two nephews Willie Martin of Eufaula and Billie Martin of Sun City, Ariz.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Cooper Funeral Chapel of Tecumseh with the Rev. Will Bentley officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery.

Billie M. Kethley

Services are pending with Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel for Billie M. Kethley, 79, Shawnee who died Wednesday at a Midwest City Funeral Home.

Roger Lee Redeker

Roger Lee Redeker, 55, died Sunday at his home in Prague. Visitation will be in the Redeker home, 1521 Westland 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today.

Services are 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Prague with the Rev. Tim Emmons officiating. Burial will follow in Prague Cemetery under the direction of Parks Funeral Home of Prague.

Patsy Jean Owen Sudderth

Patsy Jean Owen Sudderth, 58, of Shawnee died Friday at her home.

She was born Sept. 20, 1943, in Los Angeles, Calif., the daughter of Anna Catherine and Ernie Owen. After moving to Oklahoma as an infant, she grew up in McAlester, graduating from McAlester High School in 1961. She married Sam Sudderth in Las Vegas on Feb. 10, 1996. She was an active member of Liberty Baptist Church in Shawnee.

Sudderth started her career working for the Navy Depot in McAlester and retired from the Shawnee Social Security office in 1996. After her retirement, she became a licensed realtor and was a sales associate for Coldwell Banker in Shawnee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ernie Lee Owen, of San Diego, Calif.

Survivors include her husband, Sam Sudderth; her sister and brother-in-law, LeAnne and Ken Azlin of Seminole; her son and daughter-in-law, Brett and Annie Wood of Stillwater; her daughter, Wendi Howl of Shawnee; her grandson, Zane Howl of Edmond; her aunts, Dorothy Coffey of Tecumseh, Mary Sinclair of Sherman, Texas, and Wilma Wright of Mojave Valley, Ariz.; nieces and nephews, DeAnna Clifton-Parker of Irvine, Calif., Lorrie Clifton-Parks of Sand Springs, Jay Crews of Tulsa and Donald "Chuck" Clifton of Seattle, Wash.; stepchildren, Tricia and Mike Denny of Owasso, Becky and Jack LaRue of San Angelo, Texas, Cathy Kirksey of Austin, Texas, and Randy and Brad Sudderth of Seminole; eight step-grandchildren, Samuel and Nicholas Denny, Michael and Michelle Kirksey, Nathan, Josh and Amy Halford, and Zach Sudderth; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Viewing and visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home in Shawnee until 8:30 p.m. today. A service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Liberty Baptist Church in Shawnee, with the Rev. Bill Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Resthaven Funeral Home.

Joseph M. Drew

Joseph M. Drew, 84, of Harrah died Friday.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline, of the home; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Rose Mary and Bert Verel of Broken Arrow, Dorothy and Bob Westwood of Tallahassee, Fla., and Helen Benton of Shawnee; two brothers, John Drew of Harrah and Leon Drew of Choctaw; two sisters, Louise Stramski of Harrah and Elizabeth Maggott of Del City; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

Wake services are 7 p.m. Monday. Mass services are 10 a.m. Tuesday. Both services are at St. Teresa's Catholic Church of Harrah. Burial will be in St. Teresa's Catholic Cemetery with Father Alan Loth and Father Eugene Marshall officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Asa Smith Funeral Service.

Juanita Margaret Renton

Former Shawnee resident Juanita Margaret Renton, 82, of Seminole died Wednesday at a Seminole hospital.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Southern of Seminole; a son, Joe Gary Watson of Sapulpa; two sisters, Erma J. Sheppard of Enterprise, Ala., and Leota Mears of Tulsa; eight stepchildren; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Lee Parker officiating. Burial will be in Little Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Swearingen Funeral Home.
