Jasmine Nicole Files McMillin

Jasmine Nicole Files McMillin, stillborn infant of Jacklyn Files and John McMillin of Shawnee, died Wednesday at a local hospital.

Services are pending with Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel of Shawnee.

Jewell LaVaughn Cobb

Jewell LaVaughn Cobb, 89, of Oklahoma City died Wednesday in Oklahoma City.

Services are pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Ernie Washington

Ernie Washington, 87, died Saturday in Oklahoma City.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Nolen Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Brooksville Cemetery.

Further announcements are pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home.

Martha Louise Haygood

Shawnee resident Martha Haygood, 89, died Monday in Oklahoma City.

She was born Sept. 25, 1912, in Altus to Clarence R. and Martha Louise (Swormstedt) Donart.

Haygood graduated from Classen High School in 1930 and was a member of the Alumni Association. She attended Gulf Park College in Gulfport, Miss., and later worked as the deputy county clerk under Georgia Belle Austin.

She married Dr. Charles Wendell Haygood March 22, 1941, in Oklahoma City.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, the former president of Doctor's Wives Club of Pottawatomie County, a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Pottawatomie County Medical Association and a member of the Wunagisa of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She had lived in Shawnee since her marriage and previously lived in Altus and Oklahoma City.

Haywood was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Roma Berry; brother-in-law, Harry Berry; niece, Harlene Berry; son-in-law, Lewis L. Andrew and a great-grandchild, Molly Roberts.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sharon and Robert Boone of Memphis, Tenn., Charlotte Andrew of Choctaw and Linda and Ray Belford of Shawnee; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a nephew.

A graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at the Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Milo L. Steffen, Dr. James West and Ray Belford officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.

Kenneth W. Caylor

Kenneth W. Caylor, 66, of Norman died Sunday at a Norman nursing home.

He was born May 11, 1936, in Carthage, Mo., to Orleigh Caylor and Anna (Burns) Caylor.

Caylor grew up and attended school in Joplin, Mo.

He worked as a service representative for Borg Warrner Heat and Air. he was disabled and retired in 1978.

He married Patricia Ann Decker on Sept. 17, 1955, in Vernon, Texas. They were married for 27 years.

Caylor served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean conflict from 1954 to 1958.

He lived in Oklahoma since 1978.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Orleigh Caylor and Leroy Stratton; and one sister, Colleen McKnight.

Survivors include six sons, Curtis Caylor of Lexington, Va., Shawn Caylor of Cartersville, Mo., Kenneth Caylor of Allen, Okla., Kevin Caylor of Holdenville, Damon Caylor of Midwest City and Dave Caylor of Altus; two daughters, Teresa Ewing of Shawnee and Regina Simmons of Holdenville; four brothers, Melvin Caylor, Delbert Caylor, Jim Caylor and Eugene Caylor; three sisters, Helen Stratton, Imogene Robison, and Ruth Trewin; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Resthaven Funeral Home with the Rev. Doyle Loveland officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Chris Tirey

Kingston resident Lucius Christopher Tirey III, 53, died Sunday at a Plano, Texas, hospital.

He was born Oct. 6, 1948, in Seattle, Wash., to Lucius Christopher Tirey and Mary Elizabeth Camp.

He attended school in Woodward, Okla., and went to college at the University of Oklahoma and Central State University.

Tirey is the former owner and operator of Tirey Distributing Company of Shawnee and was employed at Dowley Security Systems of Oklahoma City.

Tirey married Jean Stevens May 13, 1988, and attended the Episcopal Church.

He also served as a U.S. Marine in Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Stevens Tirey of Kingston; a son, Luke Tirey of Edmond; a father, Chris Tirey II of Norman; mother, Mary Tirey of Oklahoma City; stepson, Jeremy Cox of Austin, Texas; a sister, Vickie Wright of Moreland; and three grandsons.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Church of Resurrection, 13122 N. Rockwell, Oklahoma City, with the Rev. Michael A. Jasper officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery of Ada.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Cancer Research, 825 NE 13th, Oklahoma City OK 73104

Kabreena Marie Bean

Kabreena Marie Bean, 7, of Choctaw died Wednesday at her home.

She is survived by her parents, Ernest and Merle Bean of Choctaw; a brother and sister-in-law, Ernest Kevin and Adrian Bean of Oklahoma City; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Alicia Merle and Mark Wagnon of Kendrick, Angela Diane and Aaron Anderson of Yukon and Rachel Leanne and Jimmy Barnes of Harrah.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Asa Smith Memorial Chapel in Harrah. Burial will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.

Alma C. Ledford

Alma C. Ledford, 84, of Roff died Tuesday in her home.

She was born Feb. 14, 1918, in Aydelotte to James Mont and Maggie Lee (Brewster) Staten.

Ledford was a graduate of Shawnee High School.

She worked for Amoco Pipeline Company for 36 years, retiring in 1985. She also was a homemaker.

She married James C. Ledford Dec. 24, 1939.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Moore, and also a member and reporter for the Shawnee Roundup Club.

Ledford was preceded in death by her parents; one child, Terry Lee Ledford; two brothers, Shady Staten and Burnis Staten; and three sisters, Clara Cours, Velma Graham and Harley Bouse.

She is survived by her husband of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Lynda R. and Dan Danford of Sulphur; two grandchildren, Ryan J.C. Danford and Richard Shane A. Danford, both of Sulphur; three sisters, Agnes Marler of Shawnee, Norma Abbott of Choteau, Mont., and Anna B. Smith of Shawnee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Matthews and the Rev. Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Jack Gordon Hathcock

Jack Gordon Hathcock, 78, of Shawnee died Tuesday.

He was born Oct. 8, 1923, in Shawnee to J.P. (Jim) and Beulah (Caldwell) Hathcock.

He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1941.

Hathcock owned and operated Bob's Cleaners in Shawnee. After retirement, he opened The Hat Barn, where he cleaned and blocked hats.

He married Rita Claire Myers April 15, 1946.

He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines from 1942 to 1945.

Hathcock was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. He bred and raced quarterhorses in Oklahoma, New Mexico and California.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and two brothers, Jimmy and Russell Hathcock.

He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Gayla Davis and Sandra and Jim Thompson, all of Shawnee; twin sons and two daughters-in-law, Pat and Mary Hathcock of Shawne and Mike and Rena Hathcock of Pink; eight grandchildren, Jack and Holly Thompson, Joe and Eunis Thompson, Lauren and Curtis Huff, Jill and Darren Garvin, Brooke Light, Toby and Dana Hathcock, Jeff Hathcock and Anthony Davis; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, JoAnn and Ray Holland and Jean Marie and Gene Oldham; a brother, Jerry Hathcock; an aunt, Mildred Caldwell; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Richard Stillwell and the Rev. Ron Baldridge officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Marvin O. Bracksieck

Marvin O. Bracksieck died Monday at this home west of Bristow. He was 101.

Surviving are two brothers, Frank Bracksieck of Stillwater and Lloyd Bracksieck of Boulder, Colo.; a sister, Charlotte Tipton of Chandler; sons, Marvin L. Bracksieck and Mecil Bracksieck, both of Bristow; a niece, Joyce Powell, Shawnee; three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Davenport Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Lightman officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Chandler.

Darrell Roy Lee

Darrell Roy Lee, 38, of Seminole died Wednesday in his home.

He is survived by his parents, Roy and Lillian J. Lee of Seminole; his wife, Kay Lee of the home; a son, Billy Jack Lee of the home; two daughters, Rebecca Kay Lee and Lillian Ruth Lee, both of the home; three brothers, Don Lee of Oklahoma City, Ronnie Lee of Lindsay and Thomas Lee of Ardmore; and three sisters, Jeanie Holder of Ardmore, Sue Castle of Durant and Theresa Hughes of Shawnee.

Services will be held 3 p.m. Friday at Little Cemetery Chapel. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.

Stella Juanita Overstreet

Stella Juanita Overstreet died Tuesday.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Barbara Overstreet of Newcastle; three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Gail and Fred Hembree of Shawnee, Kay Fowler and Bill Whaler of Yukon and Jim and Joyce Fullbright of Tecumseh; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one brother; and three sisters.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
