Billye Kaye Greb

Billye Kaye Greb of Lawton, sister of Frankie Anderson of Tecumseh, died Monday at the age of 62.

She was born Jan. 10, 1937, in Chattanooga, Okla., the daughter of John Franklin and Edith Mae (Ogden) Moore. She graduated from high school in Chattanooga and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chattanooga.

She was retired as a cosmetics saleswoman.

Preceding her in death were her parents and one son, Johnny Edward Greb.

Surviving are her daughter, Vicky Lynn Greb, Albuquerque, N.M.; sister and brother-in-law, Frankie and George Anderson, Tecumseh; niece, Carolyn Anderson, Dallas, Texas; nephew and family, David, Jamie and Kelsey Anderson, Ada; aunts, Eva Waters, Lawton; Wanda Parent, Oklahoma City, and many other relatives.

A private service will be held.

Jerry L. Alsip

Jerry L. Alsip, 60, Shawnee, died Sunday in a local hospital.

He was born April 30, 1938, in Romulus to Jim and Estella Alsip. He graduated from Macomb High School and served in the U.S. Army. He had been security guard for recording star Mickey Gilley.

Survivors include three children, Linda, Michael and Jerry Jr., all of Florida; one brother, Bob Alsip, Shawnee, and one sister, Mary Effie Coley, Tecumseh.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the old Harjo High School, which is now a church. Maxine Martin will officiate. Burial will be at Romulus Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Louise Motley

Longtime area resident Louise Motley of Tecumseh died Monday at the age of 76.

She was born May 11, 1922, in Shawnee, where she was reared. She was a graduate of Shawnee High School and had resided in Tecumseh since 1941. She married Hap Motley in St. Charles, Mo., on Sept. 16, 1941, and he preceded her in death in 1989.

Mrs. Motley had worked for the State of Oklahoma as a finance officer for Central State Hospital and retired in 1985 with 25 years of service.

Also preceding her in death were her father, who raised her, Albert Burnett; mother, Lillian Burnett, and sister, Marie Stone.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and Connie Motley, Oklahoma City; Cletus and Jane Motley, Kissimmee, Fla.; Doyle and Merleta Motley, Norman; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Chapel, Tecumseh, with Bill Roberts officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

Willie Norris Freeman

Willie Norris Freeman of Chandler died Tuesday. He was 83.

Freeman was born in Ansley, La., on Nov. 21, 1915, to William Cleveland and Minnie Lenora (Jordan) Freeman. He was married to Margaret Holliday on Oct. 25, 1947, in Dallas, Texas.

The Freemans starting serving Lincoln County in their business in 1946 and moved to Chandler in 1953. In 1955 they started Lincoln Liquefied Gas Inc. where Freeman worked until his retirement in 1977.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chandler and served on the Chandler Board of Education from 1958 to 1972. Freeman served in the Army Corps during World War II as captain.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Gary Wayne Freeman, and one sister.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret Freeman, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Shannon Freeman, Chandler, Allen and Carey Freeman, Chandler; five grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Chandler with the Rev. Hugh Willoby officiating. Burial is at Oak Park Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Chandler. Memorials may be made to Lincoln County Hospice.

Raymond Eugene Densmore

Raymond Eugene Densmore of Shawnee died Tuesday in Claremore at the age of 84.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. today at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, with the Rev. Tommy Seale officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Floral Haven Funeral Home of Broken Arrow.

Raymond Eugene Densmore was born July 7, 1914, in Shawnee to Walter Columbus Densmore and Margaret Louise Humphrey Densmore.

Densmore served in the 45th Infantry during World War II and was retired from Skelly Oil Co. where he had been a supervisor. He was a member of Hale Heights EUB Church, now known as the Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church.

His wife, Evelyn, and two sisters, Gertrude Roberts and Dorothy Morris, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl A. and Michael Shelton, Claremore; son and fiancee, Timothy E. Densmore and Tresa L. Ford, Shawnee; grandchildren, Aaron Shelton and Adam Shelton, Claremore, and brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Juana Lee Densmore, Shawnee.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Eva Bottger-Sigler

Oklahoma pioneer Eva Bottger-Sigler died Wednesday in Guthrie at the age of 90.

She was born Dec. 15, 1908, in Vinson, the daughter of Lee and Susie Shackleford Thompson.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Survivors include five sons, Charley Bottger, Marland; Ervin Bottger, Checotah; Jim Bottger, McLoud; Lavoy Bottger, Helena; Mike Bottger, Agra; four daughters, Jean Cunningham, Bells, Texas; Patricia Eaton, Lanita Bottger, both of Guthrie; Bernadean Weiss, White Sulphur Springs, Mont.; 33 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and many other relatives.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Witcher Cemetery in Oklahoma City. Paul Cunningham will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Chandler.

Patricia Ann Stone

Davenport resident Patricia Ann Stone died Thursday. She was 52.

Mrs. Stone was born Nov. 24, 1946, in Hills Boro, Texas to Ray F. and Goldie Faye (Dagger) Owen. She married James Stone on June 7, 1972, in Mesquite, Texas.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, James Stone, of the home; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. at New Zion Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Chandler, with the Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating.

Leo Willard Sweet

Longtime Lincoln County resident Leo Willard "Bud" Sweet died Wednesday in Shawnee. He was 77.

Sweet was born Nov. 27, 1921, to William and Lena Gessman Sweet. He married Dorothy Baker Sweet on June 5, 1948, in Bristow.

He worked for many years and retired as a foreman for Lincoln County.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Sweet, of the home; son, Frank Sweet, Tulsa; son and daughter-in-law, James and Shirley Sweet, Chandler; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Burton Bridges, Chandler; sister, Marie Hobill, Chandler; four grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Harold Sweet; and two grandchildren, Azure Dee and Jared Bridges.

Prayer vigil will be 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Chandler, with Father Lafferty officiating.

Oscar Lee Kepler

Oscar Lee Kepler, Seminole, died Thursday in a nursing home. He was 71.

He was born Dec. 19, 1927, in Kiefer, Okla., to Hugh William and Loccie Leona (Liles) Kepler. He served in the U.S. Army as a private first class in Company M, 15th Infantry, in 1951 and 1952 during the Korean conflict.

He was affiliated with the Baptist church. He moved from Sacramento, Calif., to Seminole in 1984.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Leonard Vaughn Kepler, and sister, Helen Jean Springwater.

Surviving are his brothers, William Hugh and Donna Kepler, Seminole; John Earl Kepler, Charles Ray Kepler, both of Cushing; James Lewis Kepler, San Francisco, Calif.; sisters, Mary Edith Burton, Pawhuska; Wanda May and Conard Springwater, Loveland, Colo.; Naomi Ruth House, Linda Ann and Jerry Davis, all of Shawnee, and many other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel, Seminole, will burial at Little Cemetery.

Pearl Brown (Haygood) Taylor

Longtime Shawnee resident Pearl Brown (Haygood) Taylor of Florida died Wednesday in Florida. She was 78.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Resthaven Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Matthews and the Rev. Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Mrs. Taylor was born Sept. 7, 1920, in Arkansas to Jacob Nathaniel Brown and Sarah Lane (Robinson) Brown. She married Lester Taylor in 1960 in Missouri.

She was a homemaker and had attended Liberty Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Lester Taylor, Florida; first husband, Emory Grady Haygood; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Emory and Gloria Haygood, Lindsey; daughter, Patsy Mills, Olathe, Kan.; daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and Jay Small, Mims, Fla.; Loretta and Max Hilton, Shawnee; brother, Roy Brown, Clarksville, Tenn.; 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Baby Haygood, Mary Jane Haygood and Johnny Michael Haygood; one brother and three sisters.

Henry L. Bell

Longtime Shawnee resident Henry L. Bell died Thursday at a local hospital. He was 97.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with Robert Perry officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. Monday in Duncan Cemetery, Duncan.

Bell was born Nov. 12, 1901, in Lodge Pole, Neb., and raised east of Shawnee. He married Belle Lorine Lowry on July 20, 1929, in Duncan.

He was a bookkeeper for Wood and Company Wholesale Fruits and Vegetables. He was a member of Central Church of Christ, Shawnee.

Survivors include his son, James H. Bell, Shawnee; four grandchildren, James Lee and Lynn Bell, Earlsboro; Donna and Jim Tinsley, Choctaw; Teresa and Terry Campbell, Edmond; Linda and Virgil Middleton, Shawnee; five great-grandchildren, Shannon Gunn, Mike Tinsley, Megan Tinsley, Aaron Campbell, Brandi Middleton; and one great-great-granddaughter, Taryn Gunn.

He was preceded in death by his wife, on Oct. 13, 1986; his parents, seven brothers and four sisters.

Theo Marie Eastep

Lifelong Paden resident Theo Marie "Speedy" Eastep died Friday at her home. She was 70.

Mrs. Eastep was born July 20, 1928, in Paden to John Wesley and Audry Samantha (Doyle) Lee. She married Raymond Wilburn Eastep Sr. on Nov. 23, 1948.

She was a member of the Paden Holiness Church.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ernie and Lisa Eastep, Prague; Tommy Lee and Carla Eastep, Amber; daughter, Shirl Rae Eastep, Shawnee; adopted son and his wife, John and Karen Grossman; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Doyle and Ella Mae Lee, Gene and Adabell Lee, John and Geneva Lee, Dean and Cheryl Ann Lee, and Bill and Josie Lee, all of Paden; Jimmy and Juanita Lee, Prague; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Jerry Hause, Seminole; Charlie Mae and Claude Hutchinson, Harrah; Clara Faye and Paul White, and Linda and Charles O. Allen, all of Paden; seven grandchildren, Matthew and Rochelle Eastep, Norman; Clint, Crystal and Tommy Raymond Jr., all of Amber; Rachel Eastep, Prague; Jonathan and Allison Grossman, both of Prague; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, on Sept. 18, 1969; her parents; two sisters; and one son, Raymond Eastep Jr.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church, Prague, with the Rev. Randy Perry and the Rev. Tommy Eastep officiating. Burial will follow in the Paden Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Prague.
