Evelyn Lindsay Clark
Evelyn Lindsay Clark, 88, of Norman, Oklahoma, died Monday, May 3, 2004 in Norman, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Spain officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Clark was born August 18, 1915 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, to Homer Livingston and Bess Ellen (Southern) Lindsay. They moved
to Tulsa in 1929. She graduated from Tulsa Central High School in
1933. She married Leroy Veale in Tulsa on August 5, 1933. She and
her husband, Pete Clark whom she married in 1942 lived in Pryor,
Oklahoma for almost twenty years where they owned the Dodge
Dealership. In 1965 she moved to Tulsa where she worked as a
cashier for St. John’s Hospital for fifteen years and received the
Outstanding Employee Award in 1981. She was a volunteer with the
St. John’s Auxiliary for many years. In 1997 she moved to Norman
and lived at Rivermont until September 2003. She enjoyed playing
bridge, dominoes and other games. Evelyn was a member of the First
Christian Church in Tulsa and in Norman.
Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her parents and two
sisters, Martha Belle McEuen and Helen Williams. Survivors include
her daughter, Martha Jane Fullerton of Norman, OK; two
grandchildren, John Arnold and wife, Stacy of Norman and Kathy
Piland and husband, Mike of Oklahoma City; and six great-grandchildren,
Chris and Ally Arnold, Matthew and Audrey Piland,
and Carly and Katelyn Hodges
The family is grateful to Hospice of Oklahoma County for
their kindness and care and the excellent care provided by Jeanette
Bell and Veda James.

Charles William Hickman
Charles William Hickman, 67, of Norman, Oklahoma, died Friday, April 9, 2004, at Norman Regional Hospital after a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 16, 2004, at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Spain officiating.
Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma.
Mr. Hickman was born August 30, 1936, in El Reno,
Oklahoma, to V.A. and Mary Ella Hickman. He graduated from
Norman High School in 1955 and attended the University of
Oklahoma where he was a member of the Pride of Oklahoma
marching band. He received a degree from the Draughan School of
Business.
Mr. Hickman married Kay Katherine Lee on June 12, 1959,
in Norman. He was employed for twenty-three years as manager of
the O.U. Book Exchange. After retirement from O.U. he worked for
Dillards at Crossroads Mall in Norman.
Mr. Hickman was a resident at Noble Health Care Center,
where he served as president of the Residents’ Council. Under his
leadership, the residents had a flag pole installed on the front lawn.
Following a flag-lowering ceremony, the staff of Noble Health Care
Center placed the American flag with him as a final tribute. During
his time at Noble Health Care he enjoyed playing bingo, leading the
“Coffee & News” group and many visits from his beloved toy poodle,
Kira.
Mr. Hickman was preceded in death be his parents, V.A. and
Mary Ella Hickman, and brother, Herbert. Survivors include his wife,
Kay, of the home; and two daughters, Dana Katherine and Lee Danise
of Norman, OK.
Following interment at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, there will be a family
visitation at 104 E. Haddock in Norman.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis
Society, 733 Third Ave, New York City, NY 10017

Carl Fred Hildebrand
Carl Fred Hildebrand, 75, of Norman, Oklahoma, entered Heaven’s gates Thursday, April 15, 2004, at Norman Regional Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 19, 2004, at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bruce Kessler and Reverend Glen Taylor officiating.
Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook
Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma.
Fred was born October 14, 1928, in Lookeba, Oklahoma, to
Lloyd Edgar and Lula Hal (Walling) Hildebrand. He married
Dorothy R. Charles on April 4, 1953 in Carnegie, Oklahoma. They
moved to Norman in 1984 from Newcastle. Fred was retired from
General Motors and was a very proud Korean War veteran. He
enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. Rest easy now for you are in
the comfort of God’s loving arms.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Clay
and Claude; sister, Oneta Horn; and grandson, Justin D. Rawson.
Loved and survived by his wife, Dorothy, of fifty-one years; two
daughters, Cindy Woods and husband, Eldon of Oklahoma City, OK
and Brenda Jo Rawson and husband, Jonas of El Centro, CA; son,
Gary Ray Hildebrand and wife, Vickie, of Tuttle, OK; sister, Oweeda
Smith and husband, Ray, of Oklahoma City, OK; seven beautiful
granddaughters, Trisha, Stephanie, Brittan, Josie, Summer, Chelsea
and Taylor; and an extensive number of other relatives and friends
already missing him.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung
Association of Oklahoma 3160 W. Britton Rd. Suite E., Oklahoma City, OK 73120.

John Frederick Krohmer
John Frederick Krohmer, 55, of Norman, Oklahoma, died Thursday, April 29, 2004 in Norman, Oklahoma. A Wake service will be held at 7:00 P.M., Monday, May 3, 2004, at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 N. Porter, Norman, Oklahoma with Reverend Edward Menasco, officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman,
Oklahoma.
John was born on May 26, 1948 in Norman, Oklahoma to
Merle F. and Mary Lou (Jansing) Krohmer. He grew up in Norman
and graduated from Norman High School. He then joined the U. S.
Army. After he was honorably discharged from the Army he returned
to Norman and was self employed. John was a member of St. Joseph
Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and
friends.
John was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by
his father, Merle F. Krohmer of Norman; brother, James D. Krohmer
of Norman; nephews, Jason and Christopher Krohmer both of
Norman.

BILLIE JEAN LEFFLER
Billie Jean Leffler, age 75, of Norman, Oklahoma, passed
away Saturday, April 3, 2004 at Norman Regional Hospital. Mass of
Christian Burial will be at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at St.
Joseph Catholic Church, 211 N. Porter, Norman, Oklahoma with Rev.
Edward Menasco, officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph
Catholic Cemetery, Norman, Oklahoma. Wake Service will be at
7:00 P.M., Monday, April 5, 2004 at Havenbrook Funeral Home
Chapel. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral
Home of Norman, Oklahoma.
Billie was born in Norman, Oklahoma on November 4, 1928
to Otho and Lola (Smith) Seawright. She grew up in Norman and
graduated from Norman High School. Billie married William “Bill”
Leffler on November 19, 1951 in Norman. Together, they lived and
raised their son in Norman. Billie worked as a bookkeeper for the
Norman Transcript and for several auto dealership in Norman. She
was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed
supporting her son and grandsons in their various sporting events.
Billie was an avid University of Oklahoma sports fan. She was a
loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otho and Lola
Seawright and a sister, Peggy Jo Setzer. She is survived by her
husband William “Bill” Leffler of the home; son, Greg Leffler and his
wife Cherry of Norman; two grandchildren, Kyle and Jacob Leffler and
many nieces and nephews.

Robert Allen Lehman
Robert Allen Lehman, 63, of Norman, Oklahoma, died peacefully in his sleep Saturday, April 24, 2004 in Norman, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held at Havenbrook Funeral Home on Wednesday.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, April 29, 2004 at McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church, 419 S. University Blvd in Norman, Oklahoma.
Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Edmond, Oklahoma. Oklahoma Services are under the
direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma.
Mr. Lehman was born December 4, 1939 in Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma, to Ida Mae and J.J. Lehman. He graduated from Harding
High School in 1958 despite a spinal cord injury suffered his Junior
year. At the University of Oklahoma he was a member of Sigma
Alpha Epsilon social fraternity where he held many offices including
Rush Chairman. Ever the entrepreneur, he designed, built and
managed the Boomerang restaurant in Norman, which was a favorite
of students and residents alike, for over thirty years. He had a
philanthropic spirit exhibited by his enthusiastic support of the Arts
and Athletics at O.U. He was instrumental in the formation of the
extremely successful Wine and Beer Import business plus a myriad
of other ventures. He cherished his friendships, old and new, loved
to entertain and treasured lively conversation. He was a loving son
and brother who dedicated his life to his countless friends. He will
be greatly missed.
Mr. Lehman was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors
include his brother, Jerry and sister-in-law, Barbara of Laguna Niguel, CA.
The family thanks all those who provided care and support
over the years.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that any memorials be
sent to The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, P.O. Box 016960 (R48),
Miami, FL 33101-6960.
