Frank Hannabach Jr.

Frank Hannabach Jr. of Prague died Friday at his home.

He was born in Gary, Ind. He was the son of Frank and Grace (Ely). He married Ellen Cossey on Jan. 14, 1980.

Hannabach was a retired Anheuser-Busch employee. He was a member of the Prague Art Guild and the Prague Historical Society.

He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Hannabach of the home; four sons, Karl Hannabach, Granada Hills, Calif.; Kenneth Prentice, Prague; James Prentice, North Hills, Calif.; John Soler, Prague; four daughters, Diana McCune, Texas; Tonie Lugo, Las Vegas, Nev.; Judy Weldy, Las Vegas, Nev.; Rhonda Hamlin, Chimney Creek, Colo.; one brother, John Hannabach, Atlanta, Ga.; and 15 grandchildren.

Private services will be held Wednesday under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

Dennis Tiger

Dennis Tiger died Wednesday in Tecumseh. He was 39.

He was born Jan. 22, 1961, in Dallas, Texas. He was raised in El Reno.

Tiger was a graduate of Riverside Indian School in Anadarko. He was a photographer with Tom Flora Photography in Shawnee.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Tiger, and a sister, Delores Beard.

Survivors include mother, Ruby (Lumpmouth) Tiger of Tecumseh; one brother, Dixon Tiger of El Reno; one sister, Donna Bennett of Norman; three nephews, Steven Tiger, Marcus Bennett and Eric Bennett; one niece, Elaine Tiger.

A wake will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Concho Gymnasium and funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday at the Concho Gymnasium with Rev. Don Tiger officiating. Burial will be at El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Zuma Pansy Hibbard

Zuma Pansy Hibbard of Shawnee died Thursday at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was 87.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Central Church of Christ with Robert Perry officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

Archie Roberson

Archie "Neal" Roberson of Shawnee died Thursday at a local hospital. He was 63.

He was born Nov. 7, 1936, in Dale. He was the son of Melvin and Ellie (Nesbitt) Roberson.

Roberson was a graduate of Dale High School. He worked for Ball Pipe and Supply Co.

He married Erma Warren on Feb. 11, 1972, in Henryetta. He served in the U.S. Army for six and a half years, spending two years in Germany.

Roberson was a member of the Methodist church in Dale. He lived in the Shawnee area most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Dwight Roberson and "Gail" Roberson; one sister, Alma Rita (Roberson) Martin.

Survivors include his wife, Erma Roberson; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Melinda Warren, Newcastle; one daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Curtis Ellison, Tecumseh; two sisters, Betty Jean Pritchard, Glencoe; Donnie Roberson, Oklahoma City; four grandsons, Wayne and Gwen Tyler of Bethany; Mike and Laura Tyler of Norman; Gary Warren Jr. of Moore and Will Wright of Newcastle; one great-grandson, Kyle Wade Tyler of Bethany.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel with Rev. Russell Currie officiating. Burial will be at Dale Cemetery.

Lucille (Magruder) Daugherty

Lucille (Magruder) Daugherty of Shawnee died Thursday in a local hospital. She was 82.

She was born April 30, 1917, in Shawnee to John D. and Alice (Roush) Magruder. She graduated from Bowlegs High School, and married A.V. Daugherty in Seminole Sept. 4, 1939.

She was a homemaker and was a long-time member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Shawnee. She was a member of the Jesus Heirs Choir, the Time N Talent senior adult group, and was a Sunday school teacher for the 4- and 5-year-old class for many years.

She was member of the Gideon Auxiliary and spent time in activities of the Faith 7 School.

She lived in Shawnee about 47 years.

Preceding her in death were her mother and father.

Surviving are her husband, A.V. Daugherty of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Carolyn Daugherty of Shawnee, Bruce Daugherty of the home; five daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn Sue and Fred Jones of Midwest City, Mary and Bill Weeks of Shawnee; Shirley and Alan Alspaugh of Melbourne, Fla., Linda and David Wallace of Balch Springs, Texas; and Kathy and Walter Mullican of Bethany; one brother, Walker Magruder of Midwest City; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Maxine and David Daugherty of Costa Mesa, Calif., and Opal Whitney of Oklahoma City; 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday and Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Mullican officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Nancy Elizabeth Cooley

Nancy Elizabeth Cooley of Konawa died Friday. She was 88.

She was born Aug. 22, 1922 in Seminole County to Alice and John Lane. She married William "Bill" Cooley in Seminole County on April 3, 1933. She was a homemaker and lived in the Konawa area all of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Cooley.

Surviving are four sons, Bill Cooley Jr. of Seiling, James Joe Cooley of Ozark, Ark., Rex Cooley of Edmond, and Jerry Cooley of Konawa; one daughter, Mildred Alice Roberts of Cushing; two sisters, Myrtle Speaks, Clarksville, Ark., Lorene Stewart, Cement, Okla.; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in the Vamoosa Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Pickard Funeral Home of Konawa.

Stella Ovell Askins

Stella Ovell Askins of Duncan died Friday. She was 86.

She was born Jan. 31, 1914, in Montague, Texas, to Thomas Jefferson and Ela Sisk Burdett. She married Floyd Hugh Askins Nov. 25, 1929, and he preceded her in death Aug. 4, 1992. She was a homemaker.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Wayne Askins on Jan. 19, 2000.

Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Peggy Corley Askins of Shawnee; niece Joyce Askins McClennen of Duncan; nephew Jerry Raymond Askins of Texas; grandchildren Michael David Askins and Anna Kathleen Askins; Thomas Connor Askins, Timothy Dylan Askins and Anthony John Askins.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel in Duncan with the Rev. Craig Christina officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan City.

Memorials may be made to Gideons International or Chisholm Trail Hospice.

Arrangements are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel of Duncan.

Frank E. Guffey

Frank E. Guffey of Shawnee died Wednesday at a local hospital. He was 59.

He was born June 23, 1939, in Shawnee to George D. and Edith (Detrick) Guffey.

He attended Shawnee schools and was a truck driver. He served in the National Guard and lived in Shawnee most of his life.

He married Christine DeLeon on July 9, 1958, in Shawnee, and she preceded him in death in 1997.

Also preceding him in death were his parents, one sister, and two brothers.

Surviving are a special friend, Janet Nichols of Bethel Acres; a daughter, Edna Wood of Shawnee; four sons, Mark Guffey of Shawnee; Virgil Tunnell of Tecumseh; Ray Tunnell of Earlsboro; Frank Guffey Jr., Texas; three grandchildren, Kristy Poe, Jessica Wood, and Jamie Guffey; a great-granddaughter, Paige Lea Wood; three brothers and sisters-in-law, George D. and Betty Guffey of Shawnee; John and Mai Guffey of Moore; Robert and Jean Guffey of Gerty, Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Terrie Guffey, Shawnee; and two sisters, Juanita Guffey and Rose Campbell, both of Shawnee.

At Guffey's request, there will be no services.

Memorials may be made to Shawnee Regional Heart Association, 1102 W. MacArthur, Shawnee, OK 74804.

Arrangements are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

H. Louise Fullerton

Bethel resident H. Louise Fullerton died Sunday. She was 86.

Mrs. Fullerton was born June 22, 1912. She had lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Bethel Acres for the past few years.

Survivors include her five children, James Whitehead, Marlow; Virginia Burkhead, Spokane, Wash.; Patricia Stout, Bethel Acres; Clinton Whitehead, Houston, Texas; Donald Whitehead, Mabank, Texas; brothers, Clyde Pittman, Marlow; Clay Pittman, Ohio; sister, Ruth Farmer, Duncan; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at the Callaway, Smith, Cobb Funeral Home, Marlow.

Memorial donations may be made to the Emmanuel Episcopal Endowment Fund.

Janice Sue Roberts

Former Tecumseh resident Janice Sue Roberts, Ada, died Tuesday at her home. She was 58.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church with the Rev. John D. Norvell officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Oakdale Cemetery, Agra, under the direction of Criswell Funeral Home, Ada.

The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Roberts was born April 21, 1940, in Agra to Albert Henry Ball and Pauline Fay Smith Ball. She graduated from Tryon High School and attended Oklahoma State University and real estate school.

She owned The Tape Deck Radio Shack in Ada for 24 years. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, the Ada Chamber of Commerce, Ada Main Street and Toastmasters.

She was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Ada where she was Kiwanian of the Year in 1992 and was on the board of directors. She was a charter member of the Soroptmist Club and was former president of the Ada Downtowners Club.

Survivors include her two sons, Eric Roberts, Ada; Brand Roberts, Tulsa; parents, Albert and Pauline Ball, Agra; two brothers, John Ball, Agra; Dwayne Ball, Tryon; and one granddaughter.

The family will receive visitors from 3 p.m . to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ray Long

Shawnee resident Ray Long died Wednesday at a local nursing home. He was 97.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Church of God, Gordon Cooper Drive, with Bro. Michael Smith and Bro. Merrill Smith officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

Long was born March 13, 1902, in Otis, Tenn., to Huey Newton Long and Arcadia (Berry) Long. He married Glennis Burris.

He had lived in Shawnee since 1991 and was a retired minister of the Church of God, an electrician and farmer. He served in the U.S. Navy for two years and was a longtime member of the Church of God.

Survivors include his daughter, Martha Harris, Shawnee; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one brother, Terry Long; and one sister, Nora Floyd.

Ernest Bartosh

Lifelong Prague resident Ernest Bartosh died Tuesday in Prague. He was 88.

Bartosh was born June 4, 1910, in Prague to Joseph and Josephine (Kunz) Bartosh. He married Marie Cecilia Obsivac on Aug. 22, 1934.

He was employed by the First National Bank in Prague in 1935. He retired from the Prague branch of BancFirst in 1986 after serving many years as cashier. He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Cecilia Bartosh, Prague; four sons, Ernest Marion Bartosh, David Delano Bartosh, Lee Roy D. Bartosh and C. Leon Bartosh, all of Prague; two daughters, Maria Cecilia King, Kansas City, Mo.; Marguerita Ann Warren, Prague; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joe and Edward E. Bartosh; and two sisters, Nita Bartosh and Anna Bouda.

Rosary services will be 7 p.m. Friday at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Prague. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague with the Rev. Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B., officiating. Burial will follow in the Catholic Cemetery in Prague.
